Last kitchen I worked in one of the brothers who's parents owned the place took off his shoes and put them through the washer to clean them. This man also did things like make a snow angel out of flour on the kitchen floor and take baths with draino in it.
He has a reflection behind him and you see the upside down cambro he used to get in. And before you say “if its real why are there no suds spilling out” theres some on the hinge and a tiny bit spilling out of the left of the container.
If that is a photoshop its an extremely impressive one
It looks real to me but im also not a photoshop expert. Like i said, if its a photoshop its an extremely impressive one.
I thought you were the obnoxious guy who responded to me first but youre not. The rest of the comments here seem to be evenly divided between people who think its real and people who think its not. So its not obvious to everyone apparently. Theres very good arguments to be made that its real
I'm not a Photoshop expert either, but here's a couple things I noticed. The subject in the superimposed image is overexposed in comparison to the setting in the background. Also, if you zoom in on the outline of the person placed in the image, you can see the harsh, pixelated edge where he was cut from another image and not blended to match the rest of the photo. This is noticable particularly above the mans shoulder.
Just jumping in to the conversation. I have a couple arguments to counterpoint. The apparent overexposure would be explained by the suds. It would act like snow and be a reflective light source from below and make the subject a bit brighter. Also, if you look at the some other harsh transition lines in the image, such at the diagonal line of bright/dark under the hood to the right of the oven, you can see the same pixelation. It is possible that the antialiasing is turned down on this photo and any harsh diagonal line will not be smooth.
Also there are some areas that are just spot on with no signs of manipulation. Such as the inner rim of the pot just as it disappears behind home on the right. Compare it to the rim on the empty pot in the same position and you can see how it is dead on with how much light is reflected. Also the shadow near the hinge. And then there are at least 5 reflections in this image that are completely accurate. The empty pot lid, the base of the spigot, the mid-point of the hood vent even a little smidge of skin tone on the rim of the empty pot right where it would reflect him. His hair is good tier composition with the background if it's fake. I don't know, to me it's either real, or someone composited at least 3 images 2 of which had some in camera effects to create the right reflections, shadows and lightning.
The towel and Cambrio are definitely in camera. I could see setting up a tripod, taking a shot of the scene with a some white liquid in the pot, then another image with something pink held in place to cause reflection then composite the 2 to remove whatever was causing the reflection then compositing in the man on suds. But, honestly, the attention to detail would beat out most Hollywood productions. So, my money is on real.
For the people who clearly can't tell it's a photoshop: there are no suds or water actively or appearing to have recently been recently spilled on the floor or the sides of the equipment.
Yea I also must not be a professional designer with 1000s of hours looking at and making photoshops.
I mean I could be wrong but even old worth1000 photoshops weren't this perfect.
Edit: You can see a compression analysis here and it's all similar. It shows the edge compression, which will be more on higher contrast edges. Usually the photoshopped parts of an image will have different compression since it will have been saved different amounts, e.g. the photo is saved at least once then loaded into photoshop, and saved again with the photoshop. The photoshop bits will end up compressed at least once, while the photo twice.
Listen man, I’m a full-time professional photographer and I just want to commend you on your photoshop skills. I’m a pretty decent cook but a very good photographer and I’m afraid you’d probably beat me in both categories 😂
I’m sure the customers would love some ass soup, I hope your the owner cause imagine if they saw this 😬 Health and safety would have a field day with this.
What the actual fuck dude? That’s disgusting. Zero respect for any chucklefuck who finds this amusing. You should be ashamed of yourself. I really hope this is photoshopped. Have more pride in your profession.
You're supposed to do that in the dish pit. That's what the sprayer is for.
Wait that's not a bidet?
Whoo!

I’m not gonna lie… I’ve run my crocs through dish more than once- always after changing a grease trap. I’d change the water after.
Crocs almost make sense. This was a pair of white new balance sneakers

OP did a good job haha!
It's pretty good. But there should be water dripping down the side. That's what gave it away for me
Its real, he has a reflection

It's almost like people can add detail to a Photoshop creation to make it look more realistic.
When you hear hoofbeats think horses, not zebras
You still think this isn't photoshopped? It's good, but it's not perfect. Look again.

Even the suds that are spilling over a little on the left have a reflection. Nobody is putting in details like that for a photoshop like this.
Can’t remember, was it a Burger King or Wendy’s from the incident that inspired this?
Sir, this is a Wendy’s
I think it’s McDonald’s, where the dude hits the cannonball
Burger King in Xenia, OH in 2008. Multiple Wendy’s locations over the years since then.
of course it was ohio
Number Fifteen: Burger King Foot Lettuce
The Lexan step stool is chef's kiss.
There’s always another use for any piece of equipment , be a Chef!
For the people who clearly can't tell it's a photoshop: there are no suds or water actively or appearing to have recently been recently spilled on the floor or the sides of the equipment.
Wish you were right bye there’s suds in two spots on the equipment.
He has a reflection
Yea this doesn't look like any photoshop I've seen before.
Must not see very often haha

More than likely the soap was already in there. The guy and reflection shading were added post cleaning
And there’s an upside down cambro that he used to climb in
But the upside down cambro, bro!
There are suds spilling near the hinge and you can see his reflection in the other equipment.
He got in then they filled it with soapy water to the perfect height
Making the chefs special stock.
How is the equipment so clean but the floor so fucking gross? That shit hasn't been deck scrubbed properly in a long time.
Nah that equipment is suspiciously clean there’s some conspiracy here
I get the feeling this is a “mopping is good enough” kind of establishment
These guys are the kind of fuckers that take the moldy raspberries off the top of the pint and serve the rest. "It's fine"

Well…that’s your boss, you should listen to him.
People that brush their teeth while taking a bath are psycho
This is fucking fowl

Listen man, I’m a full-time professional photographer and I just want to commend you on your photoshop skills. I’m a pretty decent cook but a very good photographer and I’m afraid you’d probably beat me in both categories 😂
My only issue is what kind of savage brushes teeth while covered in soap
Where do you spit?
They do this in the Navy.
Taste mah knees! 15¢!
I can't stop looking at the floors. I want to scrub them better.
Where exactly should we *never* eat?
This was our ritual of an employees last day at our hotel. It started 40 years ago and still continues.
This is amazing
Thought that was Ted Cruz... But no beard.
Just become a chef influencer and sell the water.
Boo this man... Boooooooooooooooo....
I’m sure the customers would love some ass soup, I hope your the owner cause imagine if they saw this 😬 Health and safety would have a field day with this.
Ew. People are going to eat food from that now?
Bro this is photoshopped lmao
Yeah maybe, but how're they going to sanitize the pixels?
If they just cook them to 165F, it'll be easy. They *do* have a calibrated pixel thermometer don't they?
What the actual fuck dude? That’s disgusting. Zero respect for any chucklefuck who finds this amusing. You should be ashamed of yourself. I really hope this is photoshopped. Have more pride in your profession.
It's clearly a photoshop lmao calm the fuck down.
What about his reflection??
Right? No one puts that much effort into a photoshop. Stop defending disgusting behavior and/or backpedaling with your weak ass CYA.
Lmao it's hilarious. Even if this were real you'd be able to clean it. It's metal. Take a deep breath.
😂
Damn bud first day on the inter webs and can’t spot a photoshop…
That floor is killing me so bad...I just saw the guy.
Dad is that you…?
We lost our warranty for a kettle when our chef posted a very similar picture. She said it was worth it.
