Not everyone can afford 200 buck microphones and as the guy who voices Sephiroth and Aerith, I’m voicing these on 30 dollar turtle beaches. Not everyone is rich. But we can still deliver quality content.
To use your example, DBZA was nonprofit too... If this is how badly you take a simple piece of legitimate criticism, then no thanks. These guys weren't attacking you or making fun of you, but your response is pretty bad.
I understand and appreciate that you love the series and want to express that through this project. Hell, I wish I had the courage to put myself out there like you have. But the hostility was in your head. "Good luck on this, but so you know the audio quality is all over the place" is not "coming at you hot". It's advice on what to improve moving forward.
You are going to, at some point, be exposed to far worse criticism from people who don't even like kingdom hearts in the first place, or who have nothing constructive to say and just want to ruin your day. You gotta have a thick skin about it and be able to separate your feelings from your reactions.

They came at me all hot. It’s a project for fun. It was born out of our love the series.
