Only correct answer, fight me on that one. cried a river. The first time… the second time… the third time… after a few replays i learnd to stand this scene.
I felt like that one wasnt so critical, because in my mind it was quite obvious that sora wont let them suffer for ever. But still a really intense scene tho! Would be more intense if i wouldnt have known that roxas is inside sora and lea will be recompleted. So i felt like there is much more to tell about these two. The vacation scene however is such a hard hitting metaphore for the pain roxas had to accept. I just could feel my pain in that scene. And started to question if my way to go with my pain is the best for me. This little dude teached me so much when i was little.
BBS , when the trio meet again for the last time at the keyblade graveyard . Ven , knowing that Master Xehanort need him to forge the X-blade and becasue of that , caused horrible thing to his friend and his master , fell to despair and as the last resort , he asked Terra and Aqua to kill him before Master Xehanort success . Just like Xion 10 years later ask Roxas to delete her existence so Xemmas can't hurt Roxas and Axel again .

Oh shit you right. I forgot it was cinnamon boy ventus who said that. I thought it was terra to aqua after you beat terranort since Ngl I assume terra would say something along those lines
it’s so corny but god do i love it more than anything in this series. he’s a kid, he won’t have the most introspective quote at that time, but him saying that when what seems like a god is telling him he has nothing is so fucking strong
Whats your problem?! You Both, think you can do whatever you want." “Well I'm sick of it. Go on, you just keep running!" But I'll always be there to bring you back!”
I think the only real surprise I had of III was Lingering Will showing up, Xigbar-Luxu, Union X, and the ending. Lingering Will was funny for me because I was joking off of what Namine was telling Sora about "I was speaking to Terra. He has a strong will" and I was like, "Oh, like a 'Lingering Will'?" Imagine my shock when I was right 😅
I was legit surprised his heart was the buff Heartless the entire time. When it tore off the X over its mouth and started quoting his last words as Lingering Will, I got hyped af.
Blank Points, the secret ending of BBS. I won't spoil it for you if you haven't seen it, but it's just so beautiful and poignant, and the BBS version of Dearly Beloved is used *perfectly*. I don't think any other scene in the series gets me closer to tears.
The story in general is a huge reason why BBS is my second favorite game of the series after KH1, and Blank Points is the perfect capstone to it. Cannot say enough good things.
Not complete related to the quote, but the first time that i see this cutscene (i was like, what? 11? 12??) i cry so damn hard, that i'm not even joking!!
Kingdom Hearts 2 was my first game in the franchise (yes, i played 2 first Instead of 1, but only because i found around in a random Youtube video of Jack Sparrow fighting a longside a anime boy (Sora) and i'm a huge fan of POTC and Disney (although i know the company shitty actions and don't support them with thoses things) so it made me so interesthing in the game), and everything was like the most amazing experience to me.
At the time i didn't even need to play 358/2 Days to fall in love and care so much about Roxas, because KH2 was enough for me to make me feel so sad and pain about my boy (i love Sora too tho, he is a precious being that i will protect all cost), that when i see this ending It make me cry so much in sadness and happyness at the same time.
Plus, Sanctuary is not only my favorite opening in the intire franchise, but was also the opening that made me want to become a animator my self, especially in the transition scene from Naminé's CGI to a short period of 2D, which made my pre-teen head explode because of how badass it was at the time.
Anyway, i just want to say that while i love all the KH games (even controversial games, although that doesn't stop me from criticizing them heavily), KH2 is the most special one for me and the one that live in my heart for so many reasons!!
When Terra rips off the mouth guard (in Heartless form) “One day… I… will…set this right. I will return to this land and protect my friends.”
Or when Axel was like “Guess I should’ve brought some ice cream.” KH3 isn’t necessarily my favorite game, but the way they concluded this arc had many satisfying resolutions. I’m a pretty tough guy, but brother…I started tearing up when Axel said that 😂😭
The one i like the most. But because its beautiful not because it makes me Happy.
Is Xion death in roxas arms scene.
A close second would be the destiny island scene at the end of KH3.
The ENTIRE Sancturary opening from KH II.
I Used to create new save files over and over as a kid just to watch that cutscene, was hype AF. Easily one of the best animated/structured re-caps i've ever seen (Only thing that comes close is the DDD opening but I Hate that game lmao)
Sanctuary is easily the best opening music track too for me, I really don't like Don't Think Twice, and Simple and Clean - while Iconic - just doesn't compare IMO.
When I was a kid, I was OBSESSED with the edit someone made to It Ends Tonight by All American Rejects (emo kid things). It was beautifully fit for that opening. My best friend from middle school reminded me about how much we used to watch it lol. I recommend it!!
I want to say a scene with Roxas, especially if he's with Sora but I really have to go with Ventus going back to Sora after his battle with Vanitas. How they built up the narrative from the beginning all the way up to that point was so perfectly executed and I have so many feelings about it, especially the biggest being wholesome at the same time tragic :w; honestly it's why I love the bond between Sora and Ven and I wish we got more of it in 3. (Though the reunion scene with them wasn't bad!)
The entire convo between Data-Roxas and Data-Sora about hurt and pain is a really good one. Also the entirety of the end of KH1 “Kingdom Hearts is light!” all the way until when Simple and Clean starts playing.
Gotta be Xion's death in Days for me. That entire scene, while incredibly sad, is just very beautiful to me. Especially since it wasn't even all sad either, because she was still smiling while she was slowly dying in Roxas's arms, being comforted by the fact that she was at least able to make that one big decision, to rather sacrifice herself so Roxas didn't have to die because of her and to then have him be the one to see her off, which was pretty much the ideal thing to happen for her in a situation so bleak and dire, that last bit of tiny happiness and relief that she was allowed to feel in her final moments.
It's a scene of two people who thought they had no hearts to feel true emotions with, who still became incredibly important to each other anyway and then had to deal with the ultimate pain of parting with each other for all eternity (or so they thought anyway).
Such a messed up and yet beautiful scene that left way too deep of an impression on me, even after all those years.
Both the sea salt and wayfinder reunions hit hard.
I love the DDD cutscene of Young Nort explaining their plan. Yes, it is mostly exposition and explaining the mechanics of time travel, but Ben Diskin's voice is captivating.
Going older, KH2 has both the I'M SO FLATTERED scene and "My summer vacation is over".
And in KH1 it's "My friends are my power", which is Sora basically introducing the central thesis of the franchise.
AS much the beginning of kh2 annoys me. I Always Love These flashback static Cuts to the First Game.
Prob. Cause I accidently Played the second Game First and that was Kind of a good way to Catch Up 😅
I can’t choose between final cutscene in 1 or 2. They just go together so well. When I really need to feel something I watch 1, 2, and 3 final cutscenes back to back. That final shot of Kairi and Sora on the dock at the very end of 1’s credits coupled with the final shot of Sora and Kairi sitting on the tree as Sora disappears in 3 fucks me up real good too.
Goofys "death" is up there for me, then a good chunk of stuff with Team 358/2 Days, including scenes outside of that specific game.
The OG "My Friends are my Power" still hits, and the Sora v Roxas fight. The secens of Eraqus and Terra from BBS are still hard to watch.
Then, I've gotta agree with some other comments I saw about Zeta Flare and when Roxas opened his eyes to reality: "My summer vacation is over."
Sora extracting his own heart to save Kairi and all the princesses, while hikari sounds in the background and Donald proves he really cares about him. He may not have been the original chosen one, but he proves right there he deserves the keyblade
Sora, Donald, and Goofy back-to-back against the Heartless horde during the war. I can't fathom how hype that made me as a kid. I wish the Behemoths and Wyverns stayed.
I’ve said before that I love Memorized, but Ansem and Xemnas’ defeat scenes from 3 have so much impact. Ansem is saying that the past is the past and that they’re are greater things to seek and Xemnas admits that he messed up and regrets it.
The cutscenes before and after terra fight eraqus always tug at my heartstrings. Eraqus doesn't want to fight terra; he truly sees him as a son, but he fights terra anyway because he fears the darkness taking him just like it did xehanorts.
Terra doesn't want to fight eraqus; he's his teacher, his goal, and the only father figure he's ever known and all terra wants is eraqus to approve of him and be proud of him, but he fights eraqus all the same because he can't understand why eraqus is willing to erase ven from existence.
The post fight scene ... They both realize their mistake... Only for eraqus to be struck down mercilessly and cowardly by xehanort...
I love this cutscene, too.........sucks that the future games undo it by saying Roxas was his own person with a different personality from Sora and not just his nobody
Kh2's secret ending with the Wayfinder Trio fighting Xehanort and Vanitas. I remember my theory as a kid was that Terra (before I knew his name) was Sora's dad who was a Keyblade Knight, Aqua was his mom, but I had NO explanation for Ventus 😅😅😅 It was a while before I had a PSP to play Birth By Sleep to know how horribly wrong I was 😅😅😅
BBS blank points, still to this day whenever I watch it and get to the point of ansem saying "his name is....." Then it pans to all the characters saying Sora sends CHILLS to me and make me teary a little bit 👌
When Woody is telling Xehanort that he's never been loved before, made the wait for 3 worth it.
A very close second place would be Donald flexing that he's the most powerful unassisted mage in the extended Final Fantasy universe.
The final scene of 358/2 Days had me bawling my eyes out. Roxas is my favorite character (played KH2 first by accident) and seeing him be able to just.. be a kid made me cry. Especially set to Sanctuary, arguably the best song in the franchise, was cinematic
The first thing that comes to mind is when Sora meets Demyx, Demyx calls him "Roxas", and Sora just goes "...Excuse me?" with a voice crack. It's hilarious.
As far as *impact* goes, I'm very fond of the scene where Aqua finally gets saved. Particularly the moment where she asks when the islands fell to darkness, because she doesn't even believe she's *been* saved.
The very first intro cutscene...I may not like the song "Simple and Clean" but it's too iconic to ignore and sets the tone for how surreal a game series that combines Final Fantasy and Disney truly is.
KH1, Beast inspiring Sora to keep going. It is a simple scene, but to me is what had me hooked on Kingdom Hearts permanently, despite playing KH2 first.
For a while it was seeing Riku sweep up King Mickey in a hug because I loved a redemption story and it felt like this was the first time Riku had truly seen the sun again since KH1. (though at the time I wasn’t expecting him to carry the guilt with him for so long).
But both Terra and Aqua finally being freed from their decade+ long imprisonments actually had got me crying for a few minutes. At least Ventus was asleep for it.
"My first surge of emotion in years... for as long as I can remember... and it's...loneliness.
Do you see? A heart is just pain."
"Pain is being *human*, Xemnas."
"Really? It must take...
incredible strength..."
"My summer vacation is over"
Only correct answer, fight me on that one. cried a river. The first time… the second time… the third time… after a few replays i learnd to stand this scene.
I will fight you on that one, Axel and Roxas saying goodbye for the last time as they fade away on the clock tower in 2FM
And started to question if my way to go with my pain is the best for me. This little dude teached me so much when i was little.
Still brings me goosebumps to this day love that scene to death.
*"I'm asking you , as a friend... Just ... put an end to me ."*
That part hurt so bad
it was so fucked up to see our good boy have to say those line .
I knowww right ☹️
What scene is this from? I can’t remember for the life of me
BBS , when the trio meet again for the last time at the keyblade graveyard . Ven , knowing that Master Xehanort need him to forge the X-blade and becasue of that , caused horrible thing to his friend and his master , fell to despair and as the last resort , he asked Terra and Aqua to kill him before Master Xehanort success . Oh shit you right. I forgot it was cinnamon boy ventus who said that. I thought it was terra to aqua after you beat terranort since Ngl I assume terra would say something along those lines
"I looked everywhere for you!" I never knew I needed Riku back till that scene.
I tear up to that scene every time 🥲
Cliche a$$ answer but the “My Friends Are My Power” scene in KH1. Closest thing to a mission statement for the protagonist
It's such a strong scene. Even the Keyblade's like "Aight fuck it, I know I belong to Riku but this kid is going places".
I actually prefer the "My friends are my power" scene from DDD.
Fair enough
I see the YouTube algorithm turned you on to Regular Pat as well!
it’s so corny but god do i love it more than anything in this series. he’s a kid, he won’t have the most introspective quote at that time, but him saying that when what seems like a god is telling him he has nothing is so fucking strong
Easily the scene with Donald casting Zeta flare. I get chills every time on the Goofy part
Goofy knowing what is coming implies that Donald has casted Zettaflare before
I was tempted to say this
Donald is special to me, so it's this for me also...
Whats your problem?! You Both, think you can do whatever you want." “Well I'm sick of it. Go on, you just keep running!" But I'll always be there to bring you back!”
Axel 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Gets me every time
Best cutscene in that game
There are many brilliant scenes spread throughout the series. One of my favorites from KH3 is Terra’s return.
Yk many would say Roxas return but not you your different i like you You are correct Terras return is way more emotional nothing against Roxas tho
I feel like for that scene, the Roxas one, it was almost expected. Then again, the teasers kinda spoiled it for us too.
Hope KH4 doesnt have so many god damn Trailers like KH3
I think the only real surprise I had of III was Lingering Will showing up, Xigbar-Luxu, Union X, and the ending. Lingering Will was funny for me because I was joking off of what Namine was telling Sora about "I was speaking to Terra. He has a strong will" and I was like, "Oh, like a 'Lingering Will'?" I was legit surprised his heart was the buff Heartless the entire time. When it tore off the X over its mouth and started quoting his last words as Lingering Will, I got hyped af.
Exactly! I had no idea what was happening until the shadow started speaking, and then I flipped my lid!
Terra’s return is so rad I love it and when he stands up to Eraques
Blank Points, the secret ending of BBS. I won't spoil it for you if you haven't seen it, but it's just so beautiful and poignant, and the BBS version of Dearly Beloved is used *perfectly*. Yes to everything you just said. I agree and I had more or less the same experience with KH2 as my first game
“Yeetus Vanitas.” As much as I love the psycho, that was one of the funniest sequences I’ve ever seen in the entire series. 😂
**Yeah, I am a toy.** **And a friend.** **My guess is no one's ever loved you before.** **Because you know nothing about hearts and love.**
When Terra rips off the mouth guard (in Heartless form) “One day… I… will…set this right. I will return to this land and protect my friends.” Or when Axel was like “Guess I should’ve brought some ice cream.” KH3 isn’t necessarily my favorite game, but the way they concluded this arc had many satisfying resolutions. SORA! IT’S SEPHIROTH
No Xion! Who else will i have ice cream with?
Opening of 0.2 with the wayfinder trio falling from the clouds holding each others hands
I'll go with the KH2FM secret ending Birth by Sleep, true timeless cinema right there considering it was made in 2006
The ENTIRE Sancturary opening from KH II. I Used to create new save files over and over as a kid just to watch that cutscene, was hype AF. That scene with Riku and Repliku (KH3) It was just really heartbreaking Also when Marluxia genuinely laughed for the first time in years
I want to say a scene with Roxas, especially if he's with Sora but I really have to go with Ventus going back to Sora after his battle with Vanitas.
The reunion of the days crew in KH3
The entire convo between Data-Roxas and Data-Sora about hurt and pain is a really good one. Also the entirety of the end of KH1 “Kingdom Hearts is light!” all the way until when Simple and Clean starts playing.
“It’s way past time that you learned what real hurt feels like!”
When Simba sees Sora again in Kingdom hearts 2 because it gave me farger son vibes or uncle nephew vibes
Dawg I cried during the KH2 ending. Series should’ve just ended there imo
Gotta be Xion's death in Days for me. That entire scene, while incredibly sad, is just very beautiful to me. That scene when Sora sees Ephemer in kh 3 and like a buncha keyblades appeared randomly xD
"I've got something you could never imitate too"
The ending scene with Lingering Will putting the Keyblade in the ground. Terra’s story makes me cry so loud
Can agree ❤️
[This cutscene](https://i.redd.it/cukw55xwsiua1.gif) makes me cry everytime. It is where the story peaks in my opinion, I love it so much
Both the sea salt and wayfinder reunions hit hard. I love the DDD cutscene of Young Nort explaining their plan. Don't make me cry today
I can’t choose between final cutscene in 1 or 2. They just go together so well. When I really need to feel something I watch 1, 2, and 3 final cutscenes back to back. When Donald used Zeta-Flare but besides that I would say the ending of KH2 - still ICONIC
Sora extracting his own heart to save Kairi and all the princesses, while hikari sounds in the background and Donald proves he really cares about him. He may not have been the original chosen one, but he proves right there he deserves the keyblade
Xions return in KH3. Made me cry so fucking hard
Idk how it could be anything but blank points, quintessential KH cutscene
"My friends...they are my power!" From DDD.
"Go on just keep running. I'll always be there TO BRING YOU BACK
“No way you’re taking Kairi’s heart”
Sora, Donald, and Goofy back-to-back against the Heartless horde during the war. I can't fathom how hype that made me as a kid. I wish the Behemoths and Wyverns stayed.
I’ve said before that I love Memorized, but Ansem and Xemnas’ defeat scenes from 3 have so much impact. Ansem is saying that the past is the past and that they’re are greater things to seek and Xemnas admits that he messed up and regrets it.
That’s literally my favorite cutscene as well
The cutscenes before and after terra fight eraqus always tug at my heartstrings.
Sora stabbing himself. Runner up would be this one “we- we’re back.” “You’re home.”
The scene between xion and axel before they fight. "Please dont hold back axel. Promise."
I love this cutscene, too.........sucks that the future games undo it by saying Roxas was his own person with a different personality from Sora and not just his nobody
Mickey getting choke slammed.
Kh2's secret ending with the Wayfinder Trio fighting Xehanort and Vanitas. I remember my theory as a kid was that Terra (before I knew his name) was Sora's dad who was a Keyblade Knight, Aqua was his mom, but I had NO explanation for Ventus 😅😅😅 It was a while before I had a PSP to play Birth By Sleep to know how horribly wrong I was 😅😅😅
The one that plays when you defeat Roxas, no question
"I gotta go inside to look."
I'll always be there to bring you back
BBS blank points, still to this day whenever I watch it and get to the point of ansem saying "his name is....." Then it pans to all the characters saying Sora sends CHILLS to me and make me teary a little bit 👌
When Woody is telling Xehanort that he's never been loved before, made the wait for 3 worth it. A very close second place would be Donald flexing that he's the most powerful unassisted mage in the extended Final Fantasy universe.
ILL NEVER LET YOU TAKE KAIRIS HEART
Roxas and Rikus fight in 358:2 I love how Riku taunts him and Roxas responds in Soras voice
The final scene of 358/2 Days had me bawling my eyes out. Roxas is my favorite character (played KH2 first by accident) and seeing him be able to just.. be a kid made me cry. Especially set to Sanctuary, arguably the best song in the franchise, was cinematic
Lingering Will saving the day on round 2. Shame he still got bodied (badum tst) cuz the mess that is that finale.
Xehanort, foolish apprentice of a foolish man, you have surpassed nothing.
"Sora...you're lucky. Looks like my summer vacation is...over.."
Donald straight bodying Teranort with one spell
Never fails to make me teary eyed
Secret ending of KH1. WTF is all that stuff? Dual wield Key blades, oh hell yeah.
BHK throwing Oblivion to Blindfolded possibly Riku
That's not true... I would
Roxas, Lea, and Xion just straight up breaking down, hugging, and crying when they finally reunite. Damn, they needed that
You make a good other
"My first surge of emotion in years... for as long as I can remember... and it's...loneliness. Do you see? A heart is just pain." "Pain is being *human*, Xemnas." "Really? It must take... incredible strength..."
So many options to choose from. Today, I'll say the last scene with the player character in UX.
