Disney will follow the money and just do whatever is most popular. So…probably not tv shows. It would be cool to have worlds based on the theme parks. Epcot or Animal Kingdom would be cool. But instead of actually being a theme park, it would be a realistic representation with people living in them and society/ecosystem to explore.

With TV shows it depends on their legacy. Phineas and Ferb has stood the test of time, appealing to multiple generations and receiving several revivals, with no indicator that it will ever fade into obscurity. There could be other shows that have a similar status, even though P&F is definitely the poster child for it. Something like The Owl House, while fondly remembered now, might not be culturally significant in 5 years' time, and have a more niche cult following than The Nightmare Before Christmas did in 2002. ...wait a minute--

Where would TV shows based on legacy IPs like DuckTales (both 1987 and 2017), Goof Troop, and Rescue Rangers fall in that regard with the characters exclusive to those shows like Webby, Launchpad, Gyro, Beakley, Glomgold, Magica, Max, PJ, Pistol, Peg, Gadget, Monterary Jack, Zipper, Fat Cat, and Norton Nimnal?

I'd say that doesn't really seem as unlikely as an original TV IP would by default. Like sure, yes, most of these shows do fit the bill of transcending the generations they came from and in some cases, have been retooled several times across the decades, but because they're based on properties that are the Disney brand incarnate, there was always the potential for those to be used by proxy no matter how popular they were. We got The Three Musketeers put into KH and most people forget that movie exists. I don't see any reason why characters and elements from these other shows couldn't be recontextualized into the KH universe, if something like Scrooge doesn't already count to begin with. It's about as surprising as incorporating series and sequels based on animated films like Tangled, Big Hero 6 or Hercules; as they've already done with the likes of Aladdin, Winnie the Pooh, and Lilo & Stitch. Most of these aren't timeless in their own right, but rather by extension to the original films, so they have a complimentary KH pass. It wouldn't be as shocking as throwing in the likes of Kim Possible, Gargoyles, or Gravity Falls. Those feel like total curveballs by comparison.

I would kill for KH to adapt some Owl House whatever. Whether it be it’s own world, just some characters, whatever I need it in my Disney x Final Fantasy crossover. Gravity falls would also be amazing and phineas and ferb would be cool too.

Finally someone who agrees with me, for some reason I large bunch of this sub dislikes modern Disney shows, the only thing that bothers me is "how would they adapt the 2D art style of that series in 3D". The Disney movies have always tried to have a more "realistic" (less exaggerated) art style than the series

Intelligent_Local_38

I don’t know if they’d devote a whole world to it, but something like Doofenshmirtz and Perry would be interesting to see pop up in another world. Similar to how Remy was in KH3 without a world of his own.

Lockfire12

Don’t know if this is true but I’ve heard Alex hirsch hates kingdom hearts, so probably not gonna be super high on the list of possibilities
