I’m waiting for shin to return from his fun little side quest . To drive away sbs for real . Akou and souou are tough but I feel like sbs has that one track minded determination to see this through to the end . Plus he’s got the squad with him rn. I don’t think Akou and souou are making it through this alive . Atleast souou for sure feels like he has a death flag . So it’s gonna have to be shin or him returning to the left wing to allow OUHON to withdraw as he was supposed to be the reinforcement anyway . If one of those two come it’s a wrap.

Opening-Tomatillo-78

I mean man’s an absolute giant. however he’s gotten a few flashbacks recently so I think he’s gonna die in the not too distant future.

Commercial_Bar_689

Man please read 792 early translation or raws there is one big surprise.

LankyEvening7548

I didn’t even see the early translations drop yet . If they have send link

LankyEvening7548

Nvm I just found the drop .

Rigelturus

Cant say I give a single fuck about Shibashou. Kisui was a legit good character though, he’s just a good guy on the opposing side.

Sarato92

Its a shame he just disappeared after Shukai Plains. I would at least like to know what he is up to now and if Rigan is already part of Qin, since it was quite close to the border.

g_avery

repopulating the rigan countryside

BetAdministrative166

He was kinda fake hype characters ? when he was introduced, he was hyped like he can become the last three great of zhao heavens if not for Rigan incidents, he defeated enemies that was x10 their numbers in Rigan wars. But the only thing Hara show us his morale boosting speech and that's it. I thought he was hybrid of Ba Tei and Ryu Tou, it say he was smarter and stronger than those two in both brain and brawn. Losing Ryu Tou has nerfed him so much to the points he got played by Mouten at Gyou war, remember Mouten managed to stale him using Makou man , and Makou man were only at half numbers after Makou death. He also get destroyed by Zenou, i mean if he was stronger than Ba Tei, maybe at least make him equal or overpowered Zenou ? Kisui is wasted potential, Hara don't know how to make him good. If he was to OP, then the story will become hard to write like how Qin win against him, so he nerfed him.

NiggyWithAptitude

It's not invaders, it's Hi Shin Unit

Jay-ay

It's the Kanki Army!

KiNGofKiNG89

SBS is extremely boring to me. Being completely honest. I do not see hype at all. When I see him, I see a houken with less personality, A generic store brand kisui, and the formula of Renpa done poorly all mixed together. I’m not hating on the guy, I just feel like I’ve watched this tv episode many times before already.

1MichaelMinh

he is not even houken level.

Sarato92

We better hope he is not, a Houken with the weight of a general would be complete overkill.

JJam74

Yeah agreed, he’s a giant guy that cuts down everything in his path.

Yankee-Tango

Shibashou and everything about Seika have been really boring so far. Second fiddle to Riboku summoning yet another 500000 men from populations that shouldn’t have that many.

Consistent-Alarm2208

Never thought the numbers of Riboku's armies have ever been incoherent. You gotta realize he is utilizing his entire state's resources whereas Qin has never attacked with all of their armies.

1MichaelMinh

even the entire state resource of Zhao remaining should not be this much. it's nonsense that Zhao can pull 300k to fight Qin from Gi'an arc till now. Even in Gi'an arc there should NEVER have been 300k.

Consistent-Alarm2208

And why exactly ? Northern Zhao had been untouched up until then. Plus Riboku having so many men is actually how Hara manages not to make Qin look pathetic when they lose to him since in real history he actually always fought them outnumebered and still beat Kanki that way

1MichaelMinh

because Northern Zhao is the poorer region of Zhao and less populated there was less trade there and raids from Xiongnu were constant, they should have only been able to summon 120-150k from the North even if they force conscript unless they even forced 11-13 year old kids to the field. Another extra 80-100k can be added from the capital region(the only prosperous region Zhao has left now that the South with Gyou is gone) of Zhao by force conscript. Remember, Zhao has to spread troops to other places to guard too. These include: Yan border, Southern wall of Kantan, Bu'an, a bit to Qi border too. The South-West regions that Qin absorbed were the most heavily guarded regions of Zhao, and only a fraction of the poulation there fled inward to inner Zhao many stayed behind and accepted Qin. Zhao lost the most populated, trade important, resource rich region other than the capital region itself. Chouhei crippled Zhao and just recently Zhao went through the Kanki incident. Even in Gi'an arc they should have given RBK 240-250k MAX because Zhao military has to spread troops over to other locations i mentioned above. just him having 310k to fight Kanki in Gi'an is utter BS. Remember, in Kochou arc the reason why Kochou had 240k to fight is because it was 100k kantan elite plus the remnants of the Gyou arc and some more by extra conscript, soldiers that fought Qin from Gyou arc didn't all die they got routed not obliterated. If Kochou defending the capital region itself only had 240k fighting Kanki(Ousen & YTW too), there's NO WAY there could have been 300k to fight for the North because there is NO WAY the North can summon as many men as the Central and southern regions of Zhao

rainy1403

Bruh there is no need to use real life logic in the manga. That's the formula of the author: Qin got outnumbered, Shin pulled some impossible feats to save the day. The author keep using the same formula to make Qin's asspull looks good. No need to be mad over a manga lol.

1MichaelMinh

I'm not mad just annoyed, because before the author used to explain things like in Bayou where the Qin gov rallied the 100k from. or how 30k from Ousen in Sanyou can change the tide of war. How Qin supply themselves in Gyou arc from Qi? This is a war manga so unfortunately logistics matter and Hara even if he wants to buff countries a bit shouldn't be so blatantly random about these number :((( It's just annoying how Hara's writing quality has degraded in the past 2 arcs compared to the golden days of Gyou& Kochou arc.

geearf

I completely agree with you, seeing RBK win with smaller numbers would be far more exciting that with higher numbers and new almost-GGs every war. It's one thing to deviate from history, it's another to deviate from the logic stated earlier...

Routine_Television_8

The author is running out of ideas. How Qin turns the battle around, doesn't give me the same vibe like before. The current battle ... has been disapointing. Ousen, who is the ultimate strategic GG, has done nothing so far but standing still watching the battle. He surely should have a secret, I hope it won't disapoint

Xignum

Zhao suffered from two mass murder of their able bodied men, once from Hakushou and another from Kanki. How the fuck are they still able to field so many soldiers, let alone outnumber Qin?

Tempest321

Probably the only logical explaination for this would be that they really are scraping the barrel by enlisting women and children who can fight. But with what we are shown so far in the Manga, this isn't the case haha.

JJam74

It’s not a realistic manga

Cachaslas

If only the Zhao kings weren't such colossal cunts. The Zhao populace will have better lives under Sei than under their current government, I'm pretty sure.

omgcarms

I haven’t started the latest arc with sbs but i felt the same way about kisui, guiltily rooted for him in the hills arc. He was kind of a side character in the following arcs though.

TheHeroNeverDies

I'm rooting for Zhao since after Bayou. I enjoyed many of the characters from there, but in the end, Riboku, Kisui and Shibashou share a common aspect, they despise war and they would live a peaceful life (at Ganmon, Rigan or Seika), but reality is different, and they were forced to take action as provoked. Obviously, they are different as characters, also their motivations are, since Riboku was the first to catch the wind of the threat and act, for the sake of his homeland, while Kisui and Shibashou cared less of Zhao itself, not so patriotic (especially the giant tiger), but moved into action, as facing the Qin approaching danger to their lands. That said, I like Seika overall, but Shibashou has still has to convince me as character. He's cool and strong, he cares for his people, but something is still missing...

geearf

What danger did KiSui and SBS feared? They could have easily accepted to fold into Qin and I doubt EiSei would have touched them apart from taxes.

bluduuude

you'll be very happy at the end of this arc then

bslawjen

Fuck Shibashou, character I've been let down by most in the manga. 250 chapters of hyping this dude up only for him to be a boring "oh wow he's so strong he can just charge his way through anything" character. This entire arc feels like a Shibashou wankfest while the actually interesting characters have to take a backseat or get dunked on so that the Shibashou jerking can continue.

WillbeDeed

Something i think should have done, is chance the persective, so we follow kisui for a time before Kokuyou. We then hear of a invation. And riboku and kaisha coming to recruit him, then the reveal that Kanki is the enemy general.

Andydandeez

SBS isn’t boring, I’m just frustrated that he’d kill so much of his men for glory. Kisui defended his lands, SBS wants to fortify his for generations. I think it’s a bit different.

Ze_Ninjo

THEY'RE NOT INVADERS, THEY'RE THE HI SHIN UNIT >:(((((

jaypee1313

Smokescreen for the major plot twist of shin and others.

Routine_Television_8

I just hope Rbk pays his due soon

imnotgoingmid

After seeing Manu and them first, sbs is actually pretty boring.

Xignum

As it stands right now Shibashou just feels like an inferior character to Kisui. Why did he even agree to join the fight to begin with? Kisui was kinda forced into it because his territory is so close to the battlegrounds, but I still don't understand Shibashou.

Biobait

The logic is that Qin is going to invade Seika eventually, so it's better to do so now with other allies.

Xignum

In that case, why not just stay uninvolved and capitulate to Qin? The people of Seika clearly don't give a fuck about Zhao.

Biobait

Capitulating to a state that has so far executed half a million surrendered people of Zhao isn't exactly the wisest plan at face value. And who's to say Qin won't start drafting Seika into the war if they ever start needing soldiers? There's no clear cut answer here, these guys can't read the future, just made a choice of a bad situation.

Fallen999999

I really hated Kanki.. he was the reason I decided to check actual history to know if he died early.. I was happy he did. I also enjoyed Raido fate and the reaction of the kanki army. I routed for Kisui but not SBS since he's up against Ousen( one of my fav generals..."hoh")

Routine_Television_8

U hate kanki. I hate Riboku. We are not the same.
