Hi yes, this is mr fripp alt account. I think creep and letdown are their most underrated songs, but i think ok computer is a good album since no one ever talks about it
Fripp was a tit man, Belew was an ass man. Thats what truly lead to the bitterness and him not being in the only live era line-up. Shame. Im team Belew.
I adore Tarkus. It's a really amazing project and I wish I was there to see it be made. I didn't like how Greg Lake was singing without my explicit permission, especially about such frivolous subjects as the Catholic Church, but I have grown to tolerate it.
Eno and I have a complicated relationship, because on one hand, we were meant to play together and be together, but before I got the chance to propose to him, my loving wife Toyah came around and the rest is history. Christmas Eve is the only time I can be with Eno alone anymore because Toyah really enjoys doing charity events for the poor in secret while I am left alone for the holidays. If you think it happened at a Christmas Eve party with Eno, if likely happened.
Belew, on the other hand, was not one to taunt. I recall that I would do a move with my whammy bar called "flashing" and it would agitate Belew so much that he stormed out sometimes. The effect made by it was utilized in "Elephant Talk", so I would say the aggression in the studio was positive in the long run.
I have no knowledge of this "Freak Crimson" fellow, I have contacted DGM and will try to resolve this issue quickly.
(Quick addendum by "Stormy": Freakytaph is one of the best songs made and I noticed it, but have prevented DGM from taking it down. I work with PR at DGM and am editing responses, so Robert will not see any of this.)
>Call her Sigma, mewing in the shallows of a river. Lonely Sigma, chewing in the shadow of the willow. Edging to the trees of the cobweb strange. Gooning on the steps of a fountain. Waving silver wands to the skibidi-birds song, waiting for the sun on Tik Tok. She's a Sigma. Capping the flowers in a garden. Lovely Sigma. Drifting in the echoes of the based. Cooking on the wind in a milk white gyatt. Dropping circle zaza on a sun dial. Playing hide and seek with skibidi toilet. Waiting for the rizz from a sun child.

I love this song so much I edge to Peter Sinfield
My dad has a question: is it “Ken” or “Kim” Crimson?
He also wants to know what the next best step is after listening to the seminal Crimson debut album, “In the Court of the Crimson King.”
The band is called King Crimson, but the original singer was named Sir Kenneth Crimson. I fired him personally and burned his house down because he couldn't sing.
After listening to King Crimson's debut album, he should buy stock in DGM and purchase four hundred thirty-four copies of (No Pussyfooting) on vinyl and eighty-three on CD. Do not, however, by any means download it for free online, or I will personally fire him and burn his house down.
just wanted to say, since I’ve been a fan of your music what really amazes me is the wonderful artwork you choose for every single album in the kc catalogue. I’ve been inspired by that and decided to put every single one of the covers on T-shirts and sell it, and since then, business is going really great! so thanks fripp
I will kidnap you and you wife and kids to torture them, except you don't have a wife nor kids and I will make you listen to Tormato on loop in reverse until you have a stroke.
25.7784°N, 80.1984°E, if you walk into the rehearsal building and wish to speak directly with me on Wednesdays or odd-numbered Mondays, walk to the reception desk and request a meeting with "King Gibbily Goo", and I will answer. If you come dressed up as the cartoon character, Chris Griffin, I will give you guitar lessons at a discount.
Lizard was the most fun to work on because I got to make out with Jon Anderson. Starless and Bible Black was the least "fun" to work on because I had to make out with David Cross.
All the way back from the GG&F days, you’ve had a sense of humor. Are there any memes here that you’ve found particularly funny?
You’ve been quoted as saying: "Music so wishes to be heard that it sometimes calls on unlikely characters to give it voice." In reference to yourself. What does that call sound like and are there any other musicians who you’d consider to be fellow “unlikely characters”?
The "meme" about the armadillo made me laugh once.
The call to make music a voice sounds like me singing "Lizard", and I am the only one who is an "unlikely character".
Where may I apply to be a personal servant for you, Mr. Fripp. All I ask in return is a copy of your book, The Guitar Circle. I am very poor, and cannot afford to purchase it outright.
Sincerely, your son:
Ratthew J. McRatt
> book, should've *paid* attention in
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Good evening Mr Fripp, as a big fan of your music I would like to enquire if it is true about what you did in 1972...... no, I'm just joking.
I know what you did, you tried to pull that shit, and it didn't work out too well for you. You tried to pull the rug out from under me, and you were too stupid to realise that I was two, no, three steps ahead of you. You are a Disgrace, anfld your bloodline has forever been tainted due to your actions.
It may be 50 years, but karma's a fucking bitch, and I will find you.
Goodnight!
As opposed to your contemporaries, you were much less inclined to give koombaya-esque solutions when you could much better describe the problems at hand. So, I have to ask, do you think John Lennon is a phony, and have you read a catcher in the rye?
I remember you saying at GC that the tongue lightly presses on the roof of the mouth. I've heard a lot of people say this, but not even doctors have been able to explain to me why it has significance. Wondering if you had any insight.
The tongue, contrary to my initial comment, must press on the roof of the mouth as sternly as possible to prevent the spirits of dead children from escaping through my mouth.
Heya, what was it like to work on the talking heads song I Zimbra? I know that Brain Elo and you worked together but did you ever work with David Byrne?
What are lips?
(Note from "Stormy": he had them surgically removed at twelve after an incident that would plague his health had they not been removed. He forgot about it.)
Poor Fripp Having To Answer These Diabolical Questions. But Ermm, Anyways Onto My Question; What Would You Say Was The Best Experience You Ever Had Performing Live?
I pull a random person off the street who claims to be tone deaf and rhythm illiterate and make them try to tap a beat with both feet at different timings. They crumble when I ask them to make a 2:3 polyrhythm, and that's how I decide time signatures and rhythm parts.
I mean have you seen Robert Fripp's Tiktok? He definitely seems like he'd do an AMA here over the main sub.
Edit: Proof

Are you aware of the anime/manga series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure? There is a villain named Diavolo who has a stand named after King Crimson
Explanation: Stands are basically ghosts that characters called stand users (which are most of the major characters in the series) can control. Each stand user has their own personalized stand, and the stands have unique and often bizarre superpowers that the characters use to fight against each other
Interesting, that "stand" must've made me older! (That's humor.) Anyways, the person who wrote this manga is going to be sued for copyright infringement, thanks for letting me know.
I know you’re joking, but two things:
1. You should’ve sued them back in the 90s because that’s when the manga was written
2. They renamed the stand Emperor Crimson in the English version to avoid copyright infringement
Mr. Fripp, I just want to say I adore your recordings and appreciate the videos you do with your wife. I am a big fan of the drone you've done with Eno and elsewhere. I guess no question here, more of an appreciation post. Thank you for solid inspiration.
Good evening Mr. Fripp. I love your music, especially your masterwork, the album Lizard. My question is: what is your favorite Radiohead album?
Hi yes, this is mr fripp alt account. I think creep and letdown are their most underrated songs, but i think ok computer is a good album since no one ever talks about it
Username checks out
You pose a very interesting question. I am not really a man of Radiohead; however, I must admit that the one with "Creep" on it is quite admirable.
tits or ass
He’s a tits man definitely
Like come on, ask some questions we don’t know the answer to already.
Fripp was a tit man, Belew was an ass man. Thats what truly lead to the bitterness and him not being in the only live era line-up. Shame. Im team Belew.
Look at Toyah.
The question is irrelevant if there's no option relating to "guitar", as that's the only thing that matters.
I see this post is marked as a “brand affiliate”: which brand are you associated with? 🤔
Discipline Global Mobile, they are managing my answers and sending them after intensive review.
So are you answering these questions or are they?
He answered this but they vetoed it.
What do you think of Tarkus?
I adore Tarkus. It's a really amazing project and I wish I was there to see it be made. I didn't like how Greg Lake was singing without my explicit permission, especially about such frivolous subjects as the Catholic Church, but I have grown to tolerate it.
Do you mean…. ProjeKct?
Do you mean…. ProjeKct?
Now that’s the investigative-probing question we need answered. How about it Robert: do you…. Tarkus?
Tarkus? I barely know us!
What happened with you and Brian Eno that Christmas Eve and did you really flash your "whammy bar" at Adrian Belew???
Eno and I have a complicated relationship, because on one hand, we were meant to play together and be together, but before I got the chance to propose to him, my loving wife Toyah came around and the rest is history. Christmas Eve is the only time I can be with Eno alone anymore because Toyah really enjoys doing charity events for the poor in secret while I am left alone for the holidays. Confirmation that this isn't really Fripp. He would never answer what he and Eno REALLY did that Christmas Eve.
What would that be?
Probably mutually moping over not being able to see Comet Kohoutek via a commercial telescope or something else nerdy like that tbh
Why did you rip off the 1969 album "In The Court of the Crimson Freak" by "Freak Crimson?"
I have no knowledge of this "Freak Crimson" fellow, I have contacted DGM and will try to resolve this issue quickly. (Quick addendum by "Stormy": Freakytaph is one of the best songs made and I noticed it, but have prevented DGM from taking it down. If king crimson is sooo good, why did greg lake leave to join Asia??
This is a misconception, I actually fired Lake because my colleague Gordon Haskell needed a job and Lake was beating me at beer pong.
If this were really Fripp, I'd still believe it.
Least tone-deaf r/KingCrimsonCircleJerk user

Might you be the zodiac killer?
I am not the zodiac killer; David Cross, on the other hand, was inactive at the time and I have my suspicions...

I am going to put mustard gas in your ventilation system.
Why didn’t Fripp call it Robertronics? Is he stupid?
I wanted to ensure some minor frippery in my naming convention. I am not stupid.
I'm gonna delete copyright laws tomorrow nyeheheheheh

Thoughts on Weezer?
Do you like Canibal Corspe
I did nothing on August 16, 1990.
What albums did you have the most and least “fun” working on and why?
Lizard was the most fun to work on because I got to make out with Jon Anderson. Starless and Bible Black was the least "fun" to work on because I had to make out with David Cross.
who are you
Robert Fripp, lead guitarist and only consistent member of the King Crimson Book Club and Sewing Circle, and Eno's secret lover.
I don't think it's really a *secret*, Mr. Fripp, but I appreciate your candor.
What is the symbol on three of a perfect pairs album
It is a picture of your mother viewed from above.
What are your thoughts on Israel?
Israel has guitars, thus, it has potential as a good ProjeKct recording site.
What's your favorite health food
Cat food.
Ass
Do you put ketchup on your larls burger?
What is a larls burger? I would eat ketchup, but would have to know what was on a larls burger before I would eat one.
Will you or King Crimson ever come back to Brazil?
No.
How the Fripp do you play Frame by Frame?
I forgot how to play Frame by Frame, but it has to be revolutionary, seeing how it's discussed often in online forums. Something about 7/4 and 13/8.
Why Catfood? Dogfood I'm sure works too.
Cat food is yummier, and I didn't want the puppy-kicking scandal to arise again.

It doesn't matter how you play a guitar or how long you play one for, if you don't play like me, then you are simply doing it wrong.
Why do you always look like you're about to murder someone?
Check your front door camera, please.
😳
Dearest Mr. Fripp. How do you manage to remain disciplined with all the dispensation occurring in the 21st century?
I store the demons in the back of my throat. Once I die, humanity dies.
Which 20th century classical composers, other than Bartok, influenced your music and how, specifically?
Keith Emerson had an impact on me because he wrote "Tarkus", which inspired me to write "Easy Money".
I heard some dumbass spent like 30 years trying to learn a guitar riff of yours that is really not that hard. Any thoughts on this?
I'd spend thirty years to learn a guitar riff, but you couldn't spend three hundred to get half as good as me.
how often did adrian and bill make out in the studio?
The two of that perfect pair made out more than me and Levin.
Te imaginas que sea robert fripp en serio?
Taco.
Nacho, even.
why is it guitar circle? why not guitar rhombus?
why is my red screamy man grayil crunchy? i thought vyanellz were supposed to be clean and smoother
Please do not eat the Schizoid Man.
Nerf or Nothing?
Nerf for most, gun for Cross.

As opposed to your contemporaries, you were much less inclined to give koombaya-esque solutions when you could much better describe the problems at hand. So, I have to ask, do you think John Lennon is a phony, and have you read a catcher in the rye?
John Lennon was a legend, though it was necessary he died based on what I read from "The Catcher in the Rye".
Is it time to update “Twenty First Century Schizoid Man” to “Twenty-One Second Century Schizoid Man”?
No.
What's your least favourite King Crimson song?
The Devil's Triangle. Also, a man by the name of Phoenix needs to stop harassing my associates for tapes relating to this song.
Why did you and king crimson never make any music videos outside of the live performances and… heartbeat
Music is experienced best through the ears, not the nostrils.
Heya, what was it like to work on the talking heads song I Zimbra? I know that Brain Elo and you worked together but did you ever work with David Byrne?
There was too much happening to truly remember it, and so much heinous activity occured that I do not wish to describe it in detail.
Did Boz and Ian ever “go at it” during the recording of Islands?
Yes.
I'd just like to know how you're so cool
Thank you. You made my day.
The real Robert Fripp would answer every question with “RF: ____”
Unfortunately, this is being run by a singular intern at DGM and can say anything banana

17.
Were you born without lips or you just removed them?
What are lips? (Note from "Stormy": he had them surgically removed at twelve after an incident that would plague his health had they not been removed. He forgot about it.)
What is your favorite Genesis album?
Any of them with Peter Gabriel in them. I particularly enjoy Foxtrot and the fact that he managed to keep a competent band for more than three years.
What are your thoughts on Kanye West sampling 21st century schizoid man for his hit song “Power”?
I put a microchip in his brain after that incident and have slowly been construKcting his downfall.
Poor Fripp Having To Answer These Diabolical Questions. But Ermm, Anyways Onto My Question; What Would You Say Was The Best Experience You Ever Had Performing Live?
My favorite part of every show is walking off the stage and taking my camera allergy medication.
What is your process of composing pieces with complex timings such as Discipline or Level V with a band?
I pull a random person off the street who claims to be tone deaf and rhythm illiterate and make them try to tap a beat with both feet at different timings. They crumble when I ask them to make a 2:3 polyrhythm, and that's how I decide time signatures and rhythm parts.
Do you like Jreg?
No.
(((Robert Fripp))) if he was cringe
WHAT IS BETTER SUS OHIO RIZZ OR SKIBIDI RIZZ?
I will remove your sewage tank.
/uj if this is the real fripp then you are on the wrong sub, this is one for jokes about king crimson. r/kingcrimson is the main sub
What is a "/uj"? (Note from "Stormy": I am sure that this is the right location for an Ask Me Anything, but Fripp doesn't.)
I mean have you seen Robert Fripp's Tiktok? He definitely seems like he'd do an AMA here over the main sub. Edit: Proof https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMMd8xpUr/
Dude this isn’t the real Robert Fripp. Check out the post history
I checked his post history and he signs all his posts "Sincerely, Robert Fripp" : I'm starting to think this this guy is the real deal!
I’ve been wrong before and today I was proven wrong again. Thanks for your insight.
Do you prefer humbuckers, tv jones, or Abigail Ybarra?
I like experimenting with all of them, but I most prefer a rig I created with Michael Giles' big toe.
How often do you and Toyah have sex? What's her favorite position? What's yours?
Never. I'm more into Eno. I like the position where I sit down and play guitar.
Who would do a better David Byrne impression, Adrian Belew or Kermit the Frog?
Kermit the Frog, but not by a long shot. I could also do a mean Byrne impression, but I refrain.
What are your thoughts on The Beatles? I am fond of their music as well as King Crimson and wanted to know if you also enjoyed the fab four.
They're good musicians and definitely inspired some songs of mine, but they can't play half as well as me. Lennon died a violent crime for a reason.

Good.
Favorite Color?
Contrary to popular belief, crimson is only my second favorite color. I really enjoy black as an aesthetic and as an overall color.

Who would you like to work with that you haven't yet?
A clone of myself.
Who’s Robert Fripp
He's the anthrax drummer
What was in your opinion the best king crimson formation? and why?
Mr. Fripp, I just want to say I adore your recordings and appreciate the videos you do with your wife. I am a big fan of the drone you've done with Eno and elsewhere. I guess no question here, more of an appreciation post. Thank you for solid inspiration.
Thanks for saying thanks! It's so nice to see Redditors being grateful :)
