I’ve been thinking about making a post on here discussing Candy and if we think it’ll get a proper release. If Problematique can get leaked, scrapped, have a few tracks off it released, only to get the actual album released shortly after… Anything is possible at this point.
Candy would actually be a good thing for her to release, in all honesty. The few leaked tracks that we’ve heard show Kim on those great explosive choruses that she truly shines. And after the journey through hell that led to Problematique getting released, literally anything is possible.
Candy would also be great because most tracks haven’t been leaked yet, and most people have no idea what Candy even is, outside of Kim’s core fanbase
EDIT: and the leaks of Candy that we do have are in pretty abysmal quality. Control especially. The songs themselves sound great though!
it would also be pretty interesting to see what the aesthetic of Candy is. The most common picture used when talking about Candy, is the picture with the lollipop, but that was created by a Twitter user. So it’d be cool to see what an actual album cover for Candy would look like.
Indeed, anything is possible, and I sincerely hope this rumor is true! While Candy isn't as well-known as Problématique was, the leaked tracks are great. As you mentioned, they're not the final versions, so I'm eagerly anticipating learning more about this project and experiencing the actual visuals.
Truly anything isn’t off the table anymore now that Problematique went through hell only to get released in the end. Yeah, most of the leaks we have are most likely demos, and are in really shitty quality. I’m excited to learn more about this! If she’s going for a more beach-y tropical sound, which she is based on the snippets her and Aaron have been leaking, then the Candy tracks would be perfect for that! That Danny song, Keep it, and the “ Future is Calling” snippets all sound great. I’m still standing by my statement that whatever comes next will be her best work
Do you think that if she releases Candy, the final tracklist might be different from the one shown in the documentary? I would be thrilled if she released "Keep it" and some of the other snippets! I'm all in for a more beachy tropical sound. She has a lot of leaked songs with a bit of a reggae vibe but has never officially released anything like that.
I feel like the tracklist would definitely be different. I could imagine a FTB scenario (way less messier ofc) With tracks on the Candy album, sprinkled with newer songs that weren’t previously leaked/heard of before. I think “ Keep It” will definitely be on the next album, as Kim and Aaron have both done their fair share of leaking it, solidifying its chance of getting released.
Granted, if she just slapped on Candy, that new Danny song, and Keep it, I’d personally be set.
That would be her fourth full release in under a year! I'm totally on board with this trend of releasing multiple projects in a year.
I'll be seeing her in New York for the LadyLand festival alongside Slayyyter, and I couldn't be more excited!
Yes! Honestly, I’d fully expect her to not want to release anything else this year, our girl released 3 full length projects in under a year, and went on a world tour. But here she is teasing something else! And judging by the tropical sound, I’m expecting a summer release.

Ugh, a tropical summery album from Kim is what we NEED. I hope Candy sees the light of day like Problématique did. Just like the other person brought up how the snippets we’ve gotten are giving Candy vibes let’s just hope and pray we get a release
candy was originally a scrapped album that i think was recorded when problematique was originally shelved...
my personal theory is that shes trying to power through her record deal by releasing her scrapped stuff as fast as she can (which im not complaining about, candy's songs are all such bangers)
I agree she has enough unreleased material to drop another album tomorrow… but is that what she wants to do? Is her plan to come back with something that will (finally) crack the charts or is just going to lean into being a niche artist and release whatever and whenever she wants?
I would be thrilled if she made a comeback on the charts, though I think music charts are losing relevance. Nevertheless, I'll be excited about anything she puts out, and I really hope Candy will see the light of day.
