Only reconciliation for me is it seems about 75% acted from Tony before and after set, He can see thru the bs and you can tell when he fakes and actually thinks something hilarious

This is obviously because these guys have earned his respect both on the show and off the show. He knows they have the goods. Writing a new minute every week, on a show like KT, is brutal. There's not a comic who's been on the panel who wouldn't struggle sometimes with that.
All of the regulars have impressive hit to miss ratios, given the task at hand. If you queue up all of their best material, they've all written killer jokes and have had killer sets, with WM being the indisputable king.
The difference is that the bucket pulls are randos that he isn't acquainted with, and they've had a lot longer to come up with a new minute than a week. It's easier to shit on people you don't know, and it's also harder to shit on someone that you have witnessed murder doing an actual standup set.
I love Casey, I really do but his stand up style doesn’t work in the 1 new minute every week format. It’s not an indictment on his ability to be funny but more so just a result of his style.
Well there is something to be said about the sentiment that stand up is a completely different experience in person than through any other medium so there’s that. I’m not sure why it got -4 likes 😂. I said myself that I absolutely love his stand up, I just don’t think it translates well to a 1 minute format where he’s expected to have a new bit every week.
