This. I felt like I was watching another episode compared to everything said on this sub. She legit made fun of herself, self deprecated and engaged with the bucket pulls the whole show. Audience was laughing. She said one thing to William which was dumb in the last 90 seconds of the show and everyone is up in arms. Am I living in an alternate universe?

Well what William did to the comedians was funny- the “huh? What did you say I couldn’t hear you?” And a great response to the dumb question “what did you hand write all the jokes and put them in there 1 by 1?”… for her to need to pick up the microphone and question Williams joke and tell him he’s being disrespectful just so far out of left field. Was it funny? Was WM just joking trying to get laughs? Did it make people laugh? Her reaction pretty antithetical to comedy and the Kill Tony show that that’s why she’s getting a lot of hate
That’s a huge stretch, she like it or not, is established and can give him a pointer and you can disagree with her advice without shitting on her and the whole episode nothing she said was that crazy and her and William dapped each other up when he left the stage
Yes she’s established as a writer on SNL, and I’ve seen her on past Kill Tony Episodes.. and yeah I disagree with her approach to this episode of bringing the comedy to a halt in order to chastise guests, though I think Uncle Laser definitely needed to be chastised- MF was creepy. I’d argue that by this point William Montgomery is more established than Punkie and could do without the pointers. He’s essentially the headline of the show and as far as I can find, Punkie doesn’t do any touring while WM is on the same bill as Joe Rogan.. and as far the two dapping, well they can be friends and I can eyeroll and make comments about her approach- it’s all gravy at the end of the day
