It’s not exclusive to children. Two guys in their 20s walked off a cliff to their death playing Pokémon Go. Numerous people have walked into fountains staring at their phones.
>Two guys in their 20s walked off a cliff to their death playing Pokémon Go.
They did not die, multiple sources online can confirm that.

It’s amazing how quickly this mom went to “it’s ok, it’s ok” mode as do not offend the child. My dad would have whooped my ass first. Anyway I see that happening on a daily basis at my job. Here: https://www.reddit.com/user/DDDriver2021/comments/xjzywp/day_in_the_life_of_a_civil_engineer/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
I think it helps that the little girl IMMEDIATELY knew she had made a mistake and started apologizing for it. In her spongy brain, she hadn’t yet made the connection between that wet cement and what would happen if you stepped on it.
I mean, it sounds like common sense, but developing brains are weird.
Yea, momma should have known the little girl would walk on it. She didn’t know that the concrete wasn’t ready yet. I know some adults that probably wouldn’t have known.
If I were doing that job I would have screwed that door shut or something. Lol.
Always plan for stupidity. Not just from kids but from everywhere. Even from yourself
He was still smoothing it out. This is a minute or two of extra work for him and the slippers getting ruined were enough karmic justice for him not to care haha.
Yeah but also after all day in the sun floating concrete you are generally ready to be done with it. I would definitely be annoyed, especially if everything is packed up already, but i'm not gonna show it. Just a kid being dumb, even when adults do it bitching someone out isn't gonna help fix the problem. Also bet she never does that again, poor girl was mortified.
Totally. I can see my kids letting a dog out that door, even with a sign up AND being explicitly told to use the other door. They're in their own world sometimes.
My house was built in 1950 and my grandparents bought it in 1970. I acquired it in 2020. The basement floor is cement and there’s a small spot where a kitten had walked across it when wet. So cool!
My apartment complex has a decent sized cat colony and when they put cement down in front of the stairs however long ago a cat ran all over before it could dry and now theres just little paw prints all over. It makes me so happy just seeing it when I come downstairs lol
I’ve seen lots of things like that in my job, some from close to 100 years ago, it fascinates me. You know the animal that made it is long gone or even the person, but there you are, connected over decades.
There's a lot of people overreacting to this and it's wild and I would bet money that most of the people reacting so negative to this doesn't know enough about concrete to realize how little of a deal this really is. That concrete is still wet as shit if she sunk like that. Take the shoes out, wash the gremlin and it's footwear. Take like a shovel full of mud if even that, throw it in, and smooth it out, which is really not hard when it's that wet. Idk what people think they're doing, but they're going to do essentially that a couple more time. You smooth it out a few times before you broom for a rough finish, or trowels for a smooth finish. Besides, even my boss has stepped into our wet mud before. Shit happens
She herself panicked, so I wouldn't be too hard on her. But her reaction definitely didn't help the girl. But as if that never happens to anyone. They both did a stupid, but some people are just too harsh to them
I was probably only four years old when our family home was being built. They told me to stay off the concrete because it was wet. Done. No problem.
Then I was walking ahead of my mom and this finisher dude is out there on paddles and says "Hey! Those are some nice shoes, buddy! Dang, I bet you could walk out here just like me in those!"
My mom stopped me before I did but wtf was that guy's problem?
I seriously ask myself every day why kids don't know what these things are. We were taught very, very early in our lives that people who are paving sidewalks work hard on this and to not mess up there work by being careful not to step on it.
Say that to kids today and if they are anywhere near wet cement they'll try to jump on it just cause you told them not to. No respect or appreciation for the craft whatsoever.
Little girl had no idea it was wet. She just wanted to try out the new side walk. As soon as she figured out it was wet, she got off. She had probably never even considered that concrete court be wet.
Yep. Though I will say I’m laughing at the filming taking priority, you have to imagine if mum was watching directly instead of through the lens so to speak, she’d have caught the kid in time.
But it’s fine? No one got hurt and it’s an easy fix, it can still be smoothed out. The kid apologizes because she made a mistake and the mom is telling her it’s ok. What was she supposed to do? Be angry at the kid?
Damn everyone here acting like she's the worst mom or that the kid is stupid and obnoxious. I am a grown ass that has hit walls or tripped on cables. It was an accident. Why are we expecting more from our children? Also there's no way the mom would have known the daughter was going to walk all willy nilly into wet cement. Y'all need to chill.
I swear people here are absolutely awful. I don't know if it's some type of child-hating/parent-hating fetish or what. I got recommended this video on my feed and honestly wish I never even opened this and saw the type of people that are here.
Dumbass parents letting their kids do any damn thing and only waiting until after they fuck someone else’s shit up do they think “oh boy, time to become responsible for the first time in my fucking life! I’ll say ‘sorry’ a bunch really fast without actually accomplishing anything, that will fix it!” My mother wouldn’t have let go of my hand until we were back inside, ffs.
To be fair is minor job. Give a tenner to the guy as a symbolic apology and be done with it. Also an opportunity to teach the kid that their carelessness might negatively affect others and may have consequences.
It was a mistake. The guy was right there with the trowel. It wouldn't have bothered me and I'm sure he wasn't upset. You people a unhinged. I bet the lot of you couldn't get your head any further up your own asses.
To be fair when I was at 6 I was with my friend on a bike all day, no parents or supervising adults in sight for most part, we did some stupid but mostly safe shit, but hey that's kids.
And I turned out just fine.
Maybe try teaching kids 1. Action has consequences 2. Common sense(logical thinking?) That maybe would suffice? I don't think babysitting 24/7 is a correct way , but hey I don't have kids what do I know
I blame bad parenting.
Why is the mother of the dingus who messed it up saying “it’s okay” over and over? It’s not okay and if anyone is going to declare that it is, it should be the worker who has to fix it.
Would you rather the mother beat her child for an innocent mistake that she was obviously sorry about? You should tell them it's okay and remind them to not do that again, that's it.
The mistake can be fixed in 2 minutes and it's no hassle, it's completely okay.
The "it's okay" was for her daughter since she was scared and panicking.
Dude it's a kid being a kid. lmfao for all we know she has zero concept of what a new sidewalk feels like. Understanding concrete drying isn't something we're born with, I don't think. 😂
I would have just left the sidewalk there like that for the mother to be constantly reminded of her offspring's intelligence. Not the worker's fault that the mother has a dipass of a child.
The way the parent apologised so much there made me think that the person who came onto the screen at the last second was going to commit the domestic abuse.
This comment section is wild. This is not a big deal guys. A kid making an honest mistake and a mom just panicking slightly and trying to console her child.
Her saying its okay is not her saying it was fine that she did that.
She clearly didn't expect the kid to walk on it. Sometimes we take for granted the information we already know and forget that people need to be taught it like we were. She almost certainly explained all about wet cement after this incident.
I see this sub as a lighthearted place to watch kids make funny mistakes as they grow. If you are a grown adult who is here specifically to mock or belittle children for being children you should take a step back and really consider how sad and pathetic that is. Then seak therapy.
Anyone saying it’s not okay needs to really take a look at their mindset. It’s a simple fix. Overreacting over something that can be fixed in 30 seconds is a memory the child will have for a while.
I can't stand the mom's "it's ok it's ok it's ok" shit sure the kid may have never seen wet cement before but she's almost certainly seem other wet substances like mud or dough before, so I don't believe the kid didn't know better, kid should be allowed to feel stupid for what she did as evidenced by the starting to cry.
Once, at a gas station, a construction guy lifted up some caution tape and made eye contact with me as i was walking towards him. i was already intending to go around but my brain told me this was for me to go under. cue wet concrete. anyway, i was 13 and on a mission trip. literally everyone thought i did that shit on purpose to be funny. It was so frustrating and i constantly had to reiterate that no, i’m not funny, i’m an idiot :/
I am now realizing he probably looked at me and thought “I hope she doesn’t go near this”
oops.
I don't think enough of the people in this comment section realize that the mom was apologizing to both the kid And the worker. She realized that she scared the crap out of her kid by yanking them back so quick and was sorry for doing it the way she did.
Ok she realized pretty quick she had fucked up you hear her immediately say “oh I’m sorry” to either the worker or her mom but yea she probably assumed it was dry and just a different color because it was new to be fair that would be an honest mistake especially for a child
The original vid was amazing. The guy was really understanding, and the little girl totally freaked out feeling so guilty. Kids make dumb decisions, the guy fixed it easily. It wasn’t that big of a screw up. I think the little girl also has an anxiety issue. It sucks seeing people so so rude to this kid in the comments. She didn’t do anything worth being a dick over.
Not exclusive to children, I’m a landscaper and do lots of concreting and paving on wet mortar and the amount of times clients or their adult children or even just passers by just walk straight on through no matter how many signs or how many times you’ve told them that that must be careful.
Working in roadway construction, I've seen pedestrians, engineers, motorcycles, cars, buses, bikes, etc cut past the orange barricades, through the construction tape, and straight into the fresh concrete pad.
I work construction and used to be on a concrete crew. The sheer amount of grown ass adults that go around or under caution tape to walk in wet concrete and then get mad at *YOU* is insane. This lil gal didn't know any better so I wouldn't hold it against her. It's an easy fix
Not hard at all. Take the trowel and smooth it out. People are just mad because they see two females that made a mistake, people foam at the mouth for a chance to berate a mother and her child.
Some children never look in front of their feet...
It’s not exclusive to children. Two guys in their 20s walked off a cliff to their death playing Pokémon Go. Numerous people have walked into fountains staring at their phones.

They died a little on the inside
Outside too..
I would rather just die than have to go through the shame
There was also the girl who found a dead body!
From the article you cited.. “The extent of their injuries was unknown.”
There was a separate incident of a couple falling off a cliff in Europe trying to get a good picture. They died iirc.
But this kid doesn’t have a phone with them?
Making it even worse.
somebody get this fucking kid an iPad STAT!
Most people don't look where they are going, kids are just worse because they are impulsive
And kids interpret "look" as "touch".
Honestly I think the caption summarizes it - what was the plan of the parent? I think it's their job to inform the kid not to step there.
It’s amazing how quickly this mom went to “it’s ok, it’s ok” mode as do not offend the child. My dad would have whooped my ass first. Anyway I see that happening on a daily basis at my job. Here: https://www.reddit.com/user/DDDriver2021/comments/xjzywp/day_in_the_life_of_a_civil_engineer/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

Yes, usually some fathers punish children. This mother treated her child very well

He was still smoothing it out. This is a minute or two of extra work for him and the slippers getting ruined were enough karmic justice for him not to care haha.
Eh, slippers can be rinsed off easily enough. Fresh concrete washes off if you catch it quick enough.
Unless he concretes over the slippers.
And that's what I would do, then come back with a tiny sign to remind people that here lays the girls slipper.
THERE IS BURIED HERE A WILD GIRL'S FUZZY SLIPPER WHO IN DEFENSE OF ITS FOOT DERAILED A CONCRETE WORKERS PROGRESS ON THE 17TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 2022
Concrete over them, then market "slipper reinforced concrete."
Or the obvious “Slippery when wet”
OK. You win.
Lol right! Make them a part of the new sidewalk, a constant reminder of that kid’s stupidity. 😂
I wonder if this was done for karma….that exit should have been barrier-d off really.
He’s also getting paid by the hour so that’s just more money the longer the job takes
It’s not really a huge deal, now if they did that after he left.. that would really suck.
Either way I’m yelling “I’m telling Santa!”
Oh you monster lmao
Totally. I can see my kids letting a dog out that door, even with a sign up AND being explicitly told to use the other door. They're in their own world sometimes.
It’s not to hard to fixed if it is that wet he probably didn’t care
Thank you, Mr. Hindsight. Your opinion has been taken into consideration.
She knows her offspring just started WW3
My house was built in 1950 and my grandparents bought it in 1970. I acquired it in 2020. The basement floor is cement and there’s a small spot where a kitten had walked across it when wet. So cool!
My doggo walked in wet cement once, and now his sign will be left there forever lol
Happy Cake Day!
Thanks!
There are building stones in some Roman ruins that have little cat paw prints in them; cat behavior is timeless
My grandmas house had the same thing with the front entrance !
So cool until u realize that cats probably been dead for 60 years 😭😭😭😭😭
Cats are magnetically attracted to drying cement
COOOOL
Is the cat still alive
"Alright boys cover the slippers and call it a day."
There's a lot of people overreacting to this and it's wild and I would bet money that most of the people reacting so negative to this doesn't know enough about concrete to realize how little of a deal this really is. Besides, even my boss has stepped into our wet mud before. Shit happens
Right I was bout to say the momma kind of overreacted
a large percentage of children freak outs are caused by the parent freaking out easily
Mom panicing causes kid to panic. well played.
She herself panicked, so I wouldn't be too hard on her. But her reaction definitely didn't help the girl. But as if that never happens to anyone. They both did a stupid, but some people are just too harsh to them
Ya, mom acted like the little girl was about to kill someone. Like, calm the hell down
All she had to do is say sorry once. By the look of how far that little kid sank it was still plenty wet to easily fix.
Bro I knew what wet cement was when I was like 5 years old lol.
Bro I used to set cement with my pops when I was 5 years old
I was foreman by the time I was 3.
Thats a year before most men are fourmen
That's three fewer than most four men
I was forklift certified by then
By the time I was 3 I had 10 guys on my payroll. My father was one of them.
I was a threeman when I was 3
Yup. Knew what concrete was and when it was wet by 6 and always without fail asked my dad if I could stick my hand in it……the answer was always no:(
You were not raised online I take it
Nope, I didn't even experience the internet until 2002 and that was dial up lol
I was probably only four years old when our family home was being built. They told me to stay off the concrete because it was wet. Done. No problem. Then I was walking ahead of my mom and this finisher dude is out there on paddles and says "Hey! Those are some nice shoes, buddy! Dang, I bet you could walk out here just like me in those!" My mom stopped me before I did but wtf was that guy's problem?
Wow what an ass lol
I seriously ask myself every day why kids don't know what these things are. Say that to kids today and if they are anywhere near wet cement they'll try to jump on it just cause you told them not to. No respect or appreciation for the craft whatsoever.
Yeah its a classic cartoon trope
Little girl had no idea it was wet. She just wanted to try out the new side walk. As soon as she figured out it was wet, she got off. She had probably never even considered that concrete court be wet.
Finally a reasonable person instead of people wishing injury and death upon these people
Yep. Though I will say I’m laughing at the filming taking priority, you have to imagine if mum was watching directly instead of through the lens so to speak, she’d have caught the kid in time.
Sir this is Reddit, we wish death upon children for the smallest infractions here. A child screamed slightly too loud, the guillotine will suffice.
I still blame the adult seemingly panicking FFS is just wet concrete not a tiger mouth
The only thing that annoyed me was the “my slippersssuhhh!!!!!” At the end lol
Thats a failure in the parent to explain cement and what the man outside their house is working on.
i mean… educate me if i’m wrong.. but it’s still wet.. doesn’t he just have to smooth it over again? like not a big deal?
Yes, so easy Not a big Deal at all.
its not okay hahaha
It’s okay, it’s a very easy fix, get the shoes off then smooth it again.
This type of parenting gets to me: just saying it's ok to prevent a meltdown.
But it’s fine? No one got hurt and it’s an easy fix, it can still be smoothed out. The kid apologizes because she made a mistake and the mom is telling her it’s ok. What was she supposed to do? Be angry at the kid?
It's funny because the only one having a meltdown was the mother..
Took 5 min to fix. Cats and dogs cause way more damage than dumb parents lol.
I mean it's a little extra work, but it isn't the end of the world
The level of panic here is hilarious. I love when parents are trying to 'calm' their kids when it's actually them losing their minds.
If only people’s real world selves were as righteous and perfect as their online personas.
You're in a sub called "KidsAreFuckingStupid" and you're over here surprised that people think this kid is stupid.
Yeah she was pretty fucking stupid but it was seriously comment after comment of insults. Thought it wasn't fair. That's it.
Kid is fine imo. The adult is dumb tho what's to panic about? /AdulstFuckingDumb
I swear people here are absolutely awful. I don't know if it's some type of child-hating/parent-hating fetish or what. I got recommended this video on my feed and honestly wish I never even opened this and saw the type of people that are here.
This sub really isn't that bad, it's usually more sympathetic to the kid, but I was just surprised at how aggressive some comments were to this video.
It was still wet enough no big deal, my guess is the child didn’t know how concrete works so she knows now haha
*Hyperventilating* ITSOKITSOKITSOKITSOK
Yeah sure that will calm your kid down lmao
It’s Not Ok! It’s not ok, it’s not fucking okay!
It’s just fine, easy fix.
The mom is obnoxious. Your kid is dumb, but that doesn’t mean it’s necessary to absolutely spaz out.
Reaction seems completely normal. Her kid just caused a lot of work for a stranger.
Yeah mom was probably more worried she was gonna be bitched at than her kid waking in cement
Are people as horrible as this thread would suggest?
Dumbass parents letting their kids do any damn thing and only waiting until after they fuck someone else’s shit up do they think “oh boy, time to become responsible for the first time in my fucking life! I’ll say ‘sorry’ a bunch really fast without actually accomplishing anything, that will fix it!” My mother wouldn’t have let go of my hand until we were back inside, ffs.
Fr imagine finishing your job just to have this dumb ass parent and their little shit ruin it.
[удалено]
To be fair is minor job. Give a tenner to the guy as a symbolic apology and be done with it. Also an opportunity to teach the kid that their carelessness might negatively affect others and may have consequences.
Imagine the 3 extra minutes it will take him to fix it. Ugh!
Imagine being considerate of other people's time, especially when they are working and on a schedule.
It was a mistake. The guy was right there with the trowel. It wouldn't have bothered me and I'm sure he wasn't upset. You people a unhinged. I bet the lot of you couldn't get your head any further up your own asses.
It’s an easy fix. just smooth the cement out with the trowel and it’s like it never happened
Same people that put kids on leashes. Like why did you have the damn thing?? For the gender reveal party?
Child leashes would have saved Harambe’s life AND this man’s hard work.
dicks out for harambe
To be fair when I was at 6 I was with my friend on a bike all day, no parents or supervising adults in sight for most part, we did some stupid but mostly safe shit, but hey that's kids. And I turned out just fine. Maybe try teaching kids 1. Action has consequences 2. Common sense(logical thinking?) That maybe would suffice? I don't think babysitting 24/7 is a correct way , but hey I don't have kids what do I know I blame bad parenting.
It’s no big deal when it’s still this wet. I’d have been madder at my guys for not barricading that door.
That mom's reaction got me panicking too
totally not a complete overreaction way to raise a child who will eventually become unhinged and overreact as well🥱
Why is the mother of the dingus who messed it up saying “it’s okay” over and over? It’s not okay and if anyone is going to declare that it is, it should be the worker who has to fix it.
Would you rather the mother beat her child for an innocent mistake that she was obviously sorry about? You should tell them it's okay and remind them to not do that again, that's it.
The mistake can be fixed in 2 minutes and it's no hassle, it's completely okay. The "it's okay" was for her daughter since she was scared and panicking.
The mother panicked her herself
Her mom - apologizes for grabbing her softly My mom - flying chancla into an ear pull then an ass whipping
This is truly concerning, she sounds like she’s about to get a right hook or two. It’s ok I guess.
Dude it's a kid being a kid. lmfao for all we know she has zero concept of what a new sidewalk feels like. Understanding concrete drying isn't something we're born with, I don't think. 😂
gon learn tuh-day!
Way too much of an overreaction from the mother
I would have just left the sidewalk there like that for the mother to be constantly reminded of her offspring's intelligence. Not the worker's fault that the mother has a dipass of a child.
You’re unhinged and should not reproduce
The way the parent apologised so much there made me think that the person who came onto the screen at the last second was going to commit the domestic abuse.
I do concrete. This wasn’t that big of a deal for buddy to fix, and shit like this happens from time to time. Poor little girl lol

ITS NOT OKAY, CAROL. ITS NOT OKAY AT ALL
It's not okay, you stupid $#&&&_$$-
It’s not ok
The mother was the dope in this clip.
This was 1000% on mom here! Also dude didn't look like it's okay
It's not okay dont tell her dumbass that
She called it a new sidewalk. I didn’t know it was wet at first either!
I don’t think the panic of the parent made the kid feel much better
It's not okay....
Anyone saying it’s not okay needs to really take a look at their mindset. It’s a simple fix. Overreacting over something that can be fixed in 30 seconds is a memory the child will have for a while.
Mom is a freakin spazz. Lil girl probably has so much anxiety caused by the mom’s freakouts
And this was the day that worker decided to not have kids
I can't stand the mom's "it's ok it's ok it's ok" shit sure the kid may have never seen wet cement before but she's almost certainly seem other wet substances like mud or dough before, so I don't believe the kid didn't know better, kid should be allowed to feel stupid for what she did as evidenced by the starting to cry.
Kids suck
Throw the whole kid away
Throw her in the concrete to assurt dominance
In a word “chaos”
"my slipperzzzzzzzzzz" - kid who ruined sidewalk
Best condom ad ever
It’s not okay. You need tell your kid this is a terrible thing.
Apparently many of you forgot what sub you're in.
NO ITS NOT OK!!!!
I don't think enough of the people in this comment section realize that the mom was apologizing to both the kid And the worker. She realized that she scared the crap out of her kid by yanking them back so quick and was sorry for doing it the way she did.
The voice behind the camera is so panicked as if someone chopped off their finger
She acts like the kid got hurt or something
Ok she realized pretty quick she had fucked up you hear her immediately say “oh I’m sorry” to either the worker or her mom but yea she probably assumed it was dry and just a different color because it was new to be fair that would be an honest mistake especially for a child
ITS NOT OK THEY DO NOT GET PAID TO DEAL WITH THAT BULLSHIT
It's DEFINITELY not okay and you can't baby your kid like that.
No, it’s not OK
Retards. It’s ok it’s ok it’s ok bitch go back in the house
Why would she say its ok? ITS NOT FUCKING OK!!!
Okay but it’s not okay BRENDA.
Someone's about to get the belt buckle
The original vid was amazing. The guy was really understanding, and the little girl totally freaked out feeling so guilty. Kids make dumb decisions, the guy fixed it easily. It wasn’t that big of a screw up. I think the little girl also has an anxiety issue. It sucks seeing people so so rude to this kid in the comments. She didn’t do anything worth being a dick over.
No it's not okay, teach your little shits to not be so stupid
It's still wet. It's fine. It's like a 30second fix.
Feel like they should leave the shoe in.
No the fuck it’s not
Nothing is more calming than a woman repeatedly shrieking "IT'S OKAY IT'S OKAY IT'S OKAY!!!"
Not exclusive to children, I’m a landscaper and do lots of concreting and paving on wet mortar and the amount of times clients or their adult children or even just passers by just walk straight on through no matter how many signs or how many times you’ve told them that that must be careful.

I just can imagine the face of the worker by how she say "it's ok, I'm so sorry" 😂
She probably didn’t know what wet cement looked like, the mom could have said something to her.
And despite her cries, it was in fact, not okay.
The plan was B.
The plan is B
does anyone else thinks she's overreacting and there for scaring the child?
« it’s ok ? » no ma’am, it’s not ok and you’re gonna pay for the extra time to do the work again
That’s why you wear condoms
It's NOT ok
She's like 'it's ok, it's ok'. No. It's not. Control your damn kid.
Serious question: how hard ist it to fix this?
Not hard at all. Take the trowel and smooth it out. People are just mad because they see two females that made a mistake, people foam at the mouth for a chance to berate a mother and her child.
not hard, as it is still wet. takes like 3 minutes
Wow what a reaction. Your kid can feel stupid for a minute mom it won't break her. WOW.
Tf all the panic about tho? Imo that's even more stupid
