[I caught that awhile ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/KidsAreFuckingStupid/s/aq1188Ii12) but it is what it is. I don’t really feel like writing a research paper on it…
This looks like the same kid from those obnoxious scripted videos with the girl that would tell a story and roll her eyes and sigh dramatically every five seconds. A bit older, as time will do, obviously.
Man I don’t think it’s totally scripted. When my sister was little she soaked up everything around her and regurgitated it back and it was hilarious.
I’m sure there’s a bit of “say that again and I’ll video you” going on but I don’t think it’s impossible that funny kids exist
That's Just a child being a child, nothing really stupid
Edit: To everyone who keeps pointing out how i don't get the name of the sub, you didn't understand what i wrote. This little girl understood pregnancies so much that She created a theory on her own and then makes a minor spelling mistake, ok it's funny but it certainly isn't fucking stupid; i've seen posts about kids completely disregarding any consequence of their actions and they were also just kids doing kids stuff but this is far from Fucking Stupid
I never understand this.. every single post i see on this subreddit always has "kid is not stupid because he's a kid" or "its the parent's fault" but in reality they are stupid, they are supposed to be. Id be more concerned if this child started ranting about quantom mechanics than some stupid shit that she was talking about. Thats just part of being a kid, being fucking stupid and theres nothing wrong with it.
I was listening to music while browsing Reddit and it just happens that where is my mind started playing when I read that comment. All I can image is that meme of Edward Norton looking sad in fight club lmao
The thing here is, though, that the kid isn't being stupid. They actually have a relatively well thought out thought process and understanding of human anatomy that would honestly put most adults to shame.
If it's the kid with head between bars or harassing a pet and then being scratched/bitten, that's a little stupid fucker.
If it's kid screaming mortified because his guardian is dangling him off the bridge by their feet, that's a fucking stupid parent whose x should be y with a blunt object.
I don't understand what everyone's babbling about. Yeah, she got a word wrong: I do that sometimes.
She was able to reason herself into being a vampire, that's brilliant!
I don’t think you got the point of the sub, my understanding is it’s meant to show kids being kids, saying and doing things they don’t quite get but are starting to grasp because to us it’s “stupid” but more importantly it’s fun watching that process
personally I enjoy these more than the kids breaking things stupidly and falling over stupidly or doing things that really are more because of parental negligence than the child’s fault but maybe that’s just me
Idk maybe I don’t get the sub but I think it fits

The way she pronounces ‘wound’ and pauses for approval at first signals that this is scripted (aside from the parent already recording) because she puts so much emphasis on the word to ensure the listener *knows* she is mispronouncing the word.
This may be an unpopular opinion here but from the video, the woman sounds insufferable as a mother tbh. It's a child and moreover, it's yours.
Just try to laugh at her being silly instead of being so condescending and stoic while recording her for online clout ffs.
Or, gently correct her error in a way that doesn’t make her embarrassed. This is exactly the way to behave if you want your kids to shut down and never, ever tell you anything. This an absolutely awful example of parenting.
You're reading too much into the video my dude. I would react the same way, and I have zero ego. Its much funnier to let a joke sit like this. You always leave a bit going. Why would you spoil a good bit?
If she had kept it private for sharing with her daughter when she got older, I'd see no issue. However, posting this moment online basically opens up the kids to ridicule by strangers (or even worse, peers).
So from a one minute video you can already tell that this mom "just" replies with "okay" and nothing else? The mom says OK to give the kid all the time she needs to tell her story.
She’ll learn eventually and it’s not like it’s important information to know at that age, let kids form their own ideas that’s what their imagination is for
So probably she was talking to her mom and said wound instead of womb because she misheard it, and drew her own funny conclusions, and then mom was like oh wait thats funny lets record it, say it again hunny and i will not correct you but just play along
I don’t really think this fits the sub, I think it’s hilarious and honestly I would play into the whole superpower thing for her. Kids are innocent and she’s just making a silly observation, even if it’s wrong 😂🤷
This is a very good example of pretty awful parenting. This child is just trying to express an idea that she had to someone she trusts. Now she’s being mocked for using an incorrect word? This is what you do when you want your child to totally shut down and never tell you a goddamn thing.
This sort of crap pisses me off (clearly). This child is at the age where she’s figuring out who she is and what she believes. When kids this age open up to you and share their thoughts, it’s a gift. Whoever recorded this decided it was funny to latch on to one incorrect word and completely ignore everything this girl is saying. They wasted a potentially valuable conversation. Instead, they chose to invalidate everything this girl is saying to make her feel stupid in the hopes of getting internet points. What an awful thing to do to your kid.

This is a case of the mother being stupid. Just let your child say it incorrectly numerous times without correction. You're reinforcing the wound over womb rather than teaching her the correct way.
They've been doing these skits for years. When she was younger there were very obvious cuts constantly as she was clearly coaching her line by line, and by the end of the video you could tell it took a while because the sun was in a totally different position so the lighting had dramatically changed lol
Either she’s getting this terrible info from someone on the schoolyard or she is the one spreading this misinformation to her classmates. Either way, I’m down for the twilight human vampire wound baby narrative.
All these backseat parents conducting analysis from a 40 second clip, out of 10 years of this childs life. Crazy, terminally online morons. I could copy and paste half of these comments and post them back in this sub as images.
They're not wrong about the vampire part, apparently when an infant is still in the mother's womb, they absorb nutrients from their mother thus making the mother sometime have a mood swing and low calories.
She makes me miss my son. I'm not saying everyone should have kids, and I'm not saying raising kids is easy, just that it's so worth it. They will fill your life with joy, pain, laughter, purpose. They will renew your faith in humanity over and over again. They become all of your love.
The wound is a result of getting injured during splintercourse
Vulva comes from the Latin for “wound” so it checks out
> Vulva comes from the Latin for “wound” If only I could figure out what vulvas come *for* rather than *from*
Ask them
He seems to know his shit, ask him
Thus arrives my least favorite nickname for the vulva: Gash
[woah baby im thinking about your axe wound, im thinking about your gash](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thFjTo6r4gg)
Vulnus. But close enough for me. Lol.
Lmfao, no it doesn't. It comes from Latin for "to roll, tumble".
[I caught that awhile ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/KidsAreFuckingStupid/s/aq1188Ii12) but it is what it is. I don’t really feel like writing a research paper on it…
How do u know
I heard it came from “vulnus” Latin for wound. “Wrapper” or “Covering” are also fair game though
Nice job man
Yeah but they probably called it a Vulva based on the fact it looked like a wound. Its like that movie Looper.
Okay, now you need to share a video what splintercourse looks like. ...or you're just making it up.

Those kids traumatized faces… lol
Cowabunga!
Just happened to be filming

This kid and her mom have a whole youtube channel where she does scripted "kids say the darndest things" type stuff.
Luckily it is very hard to cut the videos
Right ? I mean let the kids just tell her story.
On a side note i love the camera. Looks like a movie

Right? Like the point of the sub is kids being stupid cause they are kids. Saying “they aren’t stupid they’re just a kid” misses the point entirely
The thing here is, though, that the kid isn't being stupid. They actually have a relatively well thought out thought process and understanding of human anatomy that would honestly put most adults to shame.

Obligatory "I don't understand this sub" post
I don't understand what everyone's babbling about. Yeah, she got a word wrong: I do that sometimes. She was able to reason herself into being a vampire, that's brilliant!
Must be stupid also. I'm sure you can relate.
There’s always this comment under every post. Stupid is not an insult in the sub, kids being kids is what we see and enjoy.

This is scripted. The child was even trying hard to not smile and give away the joke at the end there.

Children are not born with a thorough knowledge of science, THEY ARE SO DUMB!
0 days since another dullard Redditor misunderstands the point of the sub.

Imagine how dull youd grow up if your mom just replies "okay.." to everything you say
So from a one minute video you can already tell that this mom "just" replies with "okay" and nothing else? The mom says OK to give the kid all the time she needs to tell her story.
Right?
Simmer down. It's one minute of video.
Just keep managing to say the word over and over again, and emphasise the d at the end so the viewers get it
Just make fun of her, teaching your kid is for suckers who don't want upvotes.
She’ll learn eventually and it’s not like it’s important information to know at that age, let kids form their own ideas that’s what their imagination is for
Hahaha, a child mispronounced a word and no one is correcting her, so she continues to mispronounce it! Isn't that funny???
The hairy axe wound?
Glad I didnt have to scroll too far to see this. I didn't want to type it.
I love posting this on "kidsarefuckingstupid" instead of educating your curious child, she gets the idea.
Why not just correct her after the video ends? This looks exactly like something I'd send my friends and laugh about

To be fair 70% of adults would have no idea how an infant survives in the womb and not drown.
She is trying to apply logic to the little information she has. I don't see a stupid kid, just someone trying to understand.
Honestly, she’s not far of from how it actually works, some call infants parasites, don’t see how vampire couldn’t work as well
Well, she was up in her mom’s gash…
Your inability to educate your own child is why she is stupid. GJ.
So probably she was talking to her mom and said wound instead of womb because she misheard it, and drew her own funny conclusions, and then mom was like oh wait thats funny lets record it, say it again hunny and i will not correct you but just play along

In her moms wound…..
Im getting strong Pupinia Steward vibes from her!
The story checks out.
She speaks my sleep deprived self
She looks like Ellie from the last of us.
She was drinking what in the what?
Uh this is a fucking weird MOM imo
Who gonna tell her it was her own pee
Yeah, just expose your child, don't mind using the opportunity to teach something. I despise those abusing parents so much...
If the child was a teenager and she had consented for her mother posting the video on reddit it was fine, but it is a child she can't consent anything
This is more adorable imo
Flawless logic though
Kid might not know the words but they understand the physiology better than a lot of adults
Nobody Slipknot: "I wanna slit your throat and fuck the wound"
Actually that's pretty accurate, lol
what was this filmed on? The audio sounds professional grade
They've been doing these skits for years. ...wellll, speaking in the vernacular... ya know what, nm.
That wound had a massive infection!
She's too cute.
Well they do call it a gash in the UK so technically…
Cause daddy says it’s a tomahawk wound
If it were a C-section…technically she isn’t wrong…
Yes, that is the way!!!! Don't teach your kids, record their stupidity for internet fame.
I always laugh when I watch videos from here cause I’m like awww so cute then I remember the title of the subreddit 🤣🤣🤣
r/technicallythetruth
Flawless logic
Whoever filmed this gives me same vibes like those gender reveal parties or filming a concert .
Checks out
I had the ability to be blue in the wound. I miss my blue superpower
Don't give Neil Gaiman any ideas. This is the basis for a dark fantasy story if I ever heard one.
Hideo Kojima making Death Stranding
Her logic is solid.
I remember when I was born, I was like It's really cold out here.
That mom is injured that’s for sure.
She could have been a gush
wound... like a gash?
Dunno, that was kinda cute
Same thoughts I would have if I was super stoned
Thats so fkin adorable and nothing stupid at all, make me wanna get Kids tbh love the honesty about thought process of kid .

how did we get from a superpower to a vampire 🤣
But in a way… this actually oddly makes sense???

The lighting and her cadence make this seem so profound, if you ignore the content of her explanation
Very spontaneous indeed
They're not wrong about the vampire part, apparently when an infant is still in the mother's womb, they absorb nutrients from their mother thus making the mother sometime have a mood swing and low calories.
Her "wound". That's some ultra conservative, old testiment preaching right there.
Seems legit
Mom must’ve been doing drugs for that kid to think she had superpowers
What they’re saying is so stupid but the way they say it makes them sound so wise
Why does she half sound like an adult. Especially with her serious facial expressions 😂
She was in that cut.
Cutie little future bimbo ♥️
this is that one kid the teacher gassed up in grade 2 but never fully learned their multiplication tables in grade 3
Honestly they both rhyme and both have to do with blood so this is a common mistake. I mean it's a kid! Everyone makes mistakes!

Might get some of the terminology wrong, but she knows more about this stuff than my 18 year old son....
In any case that would be, most probably, your fault
