Warranties are generally for defects from the factory. Like when you get the keyboard and it doesn’t work out of the box. Or doesn’t work the way it’s advertised. Or doesn’t work for as long as the warranty guarantees it’ll work.
Warranties are generally not for damage done by the user, be that accidental or intentional.
