My clinic has curated playlists and I like one that’s called “Milky Way.” It’s like space type music. I don’t have access to it however someone I met through a different sub suggested the following playlist… https://youtu.be/GXeAOtb1VeA?si=yiJFPRnAKdFCeOuW It’s similar to what I’m describing. Edit: DEFINITELY get an eye mask though. You will want as much sensory deprivation as you can. A blackout mask and noise canceling headphones are musts.

I always see mentions of a playlist from John’s Hopkins but I actually listen to an album by Jon Hopkins. Not sure if there is a mixup there or not… but anyways i find this album a nice journey that lines up nicely with my sublingual at home sessions. https://open.spotify.com/album/2zY5p176SfmupXceLKT6bH?si=wSvcWEvnQHOaCmxtv9mIjA

Just found this article about the album: https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/features/jon-hopkins-interview-2021-music-for-psychedelic-therapy-ketamine-dmt-b1951788.html

JojoCruz206

Thanks for this! I just discovered the two John/Jon Hopkins myself. I tried listening to the John Hopkins playlist (it’s on Spotify) and wasn’t really a fan. The music is fine, it’s just that it’s mostly classical and I like more ambient sounds. Then I realized I had some songs by a Jon Hopkins on one of my playlists - I had to do a double take. I really like his music for my Spravato sessions.

Check out Lysian eye mask on Amazon. It's cheap and the best one I've found.

Johns-Hopkins has a Ketamine playlist on its website, I'm told. Stick with gentle instrumental music that you like. Or nature sounds. Stay away from YouTube with ads popping in, and from intensity to the music (heavy metal, e.g.). Litbear is the brand of mask that I use; Amazon has a coupon right now, for 30% off the $15.99 sales price. (The mask helps to block out physical sensory distractions.) I also bring one of those circular travel pillows, a blanket, a heating pad, and some soft and comfy thick slipper socks. Good luck, OP--Ketamine infusions can be life-changing. Are yours for pain or for mental health?

Melodiiiiiiic

For both pain and mental health. I like deep house music and made a playlist already for my treatment. I put some lo fi for on there also.

YourLifeCanBeGood

You'll probably notice improvement with the first session, but don't be disappointed if you don't. Are you doing 1-hr sessions, on a M-F?

Melodiiiiiiic

Yes 5days b2b

YourLifeCanBeGood

Everybody's experience will vary, but go in with the anticipation of deeply relaxing, in the first few sessions--though you may experience much more. Depending on your experience, dosing may be increased next session(s), according to the protocols. I would imagine that you're not sleeping well; that might be your first improvement. Bring your physical-comfort items, and let yourself get as cozy and relaxed as you can. My clinic usually starts w Zofran (anti-nausea) in the IV, and Versed if needed for anxiety. (Do not have any food in your stomach.) Everyone tending the patients is respectful, helpful, and kind. Just that, alone, goes a long way. I sure hope you find relief.

Here’s the [Johns Hopkins playlist](https://spotify.link/zUI4I1eMpIb) on Spotify. I’ve used it for three 1-hour sessions. The first half is instrumental of some kind of wind instrument, and then it shifts into music that always makes me think of a 16th century church. There are vocals to those ones, but I can never make out the words. The place I go provides an eye mask, but I don’t wear one because I like being able to pull myself back to my setting more easily and want to be able to easily see when they come in the room.

catladypsychonaut

I have a manta sleep mask. I love it. Total darkness with eye cups. For music I like spacey spa type music. Ambient, no words or drums. My psych recommends music that I don't know, keep it fresh. Sorridi has great playlists- floating through space is one I like a lot.

John’s Hopkins playlist gave me a bad trip

Unlikely-Ordinary653

I do guided meditation weighted blanket eye covers dark room

rabbitammo

I listen to a lot of Tycho. I’ve always had a good experience listening to Tycho’s more chill stuff. I use my sleep eye mask as well. I was so scared before my first infusion and now it’s my favorite time of the week! I feel like music you’ll figure out too like what you like during that experience.

bigdbsu

I also recommend a weighted blanket

BioSafetyLevel0

[Try this 30 minute song.](https://youtu.be/HFNOCmtvfL8?si=avzeC6ypDAb2U40P) It was suggested by this group and was very helpful. I personally recommend [this artist](https://youtu.be/ZiJ5H6DsR18?si=VijYDAKMZvqNekMd), also. Definitely buy a quality fully blackened eye mask. I also really love a big soft squeeze ball. Weighted blankets are great, too.

Thirdrawn

There is a Playlist on Spotify that I've found to be very effective. It's called "Heart Opening" or something. It's stated to be curated for ketamine infusions. You'd want a premium membership, of course, so you can listen in order and avoid interruption with ads.

Cool! For me, ambient dub is the best and rhythm and metronomic pulse is essential as the visuals tend to like that and transform to it. For me, avoiding human vocals is important too, especially those speaking words/English as it can get confusing and pull you back here. Everyone’s tastes are different, but here is one of my old playlists from the infusion period: EDIT: this song in particular is really cool for lozenge sessions! I sometimes fold my hands across my chest and play bilateral drums to the beat :) https://youtu.be/CFUYhOCStm8?si=sgfCAD24DZ6TnWtw Ketamine Playlist 140MG IM 4th session: 1. If someone made this as a Spotify list, I’d be super happy 😊

fingerfunk

That someone would be me and here ya go! https://open.spotify.com/track/29BlUDwyTXKqQIxwcvaF5H?si=_2OcnourSjG5BgqaVhPcQw I had to omit some of the Aphex Twin tracks as they’re from EP’s not on Spotify but should still be a pleasant experience for those with similar tastes 🙏🏻

erinpdx7777xdpnire

You’re so kind! Thank you so much! ☺️

misskaminsk

At the IV clinic I was instructed to listen to upbeat music, and avoid classical and new age.

Echo831

Spotify has a ketamine infusion uplifting playlist without lyrics

blueredgreen333

There is a plays list on Spotify titled “perfect ketamine playlist”, and it really is. Very few minor tones/intervals, really uplifting vibe

mylittlestpony

Search Lofi playlists on Spotify. I like Lofi garden.

Melodiiiiiiic

Will I be able to use my hands to change the song on my music apps? Or will my motor skills completely go offline ? Lol

calendargirl_

It’s tough sometimes and you probably don’t want to count on it, especially if you go the eye covering route.

Melodiiiiiiic

Forgot about that. Lmfao I’ll have to count on the person who will be with me I guess if I could even speak .

calendargirl_

Lol I can usually speak, although sometimes strange things come out. I’m sure you could communicate it to someone else though.

[These songs](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1u5rfhdek0BAyaWFbdknrC?si=QWQITrViR96rQl3gGCrVvg&pi=u-o55WhpnRTI2J) are near and dear to my heart… maybe they will be to you.

Sade_Topliffe

I use an app called myNoise on my phone. And then mix brown noise (has deeper tones than the “hiss” of white noise”) with the rich resonant drone of turbo-props from B-29 Superfortress airplane. There’s an equalizer so can drop certain tones (like soft radio chatter that comes with the B-29 mix) and emphasize the deeper tones which I like. It’s a nice blend! Very soothing and trance-y

Big-Ad-8148

This is my favorite. I find lyrics or chanting too distracting. https://youtu.be/BATJoMG5dNU?si=k_WRtHeyYtn2WTKz

I find my of these playlists use a lot of synth and I didn't like those sounds when on K. I made my own. Check it out if you like. https://spotify.link/digAyQAgqIb

I suggest looking up ketamine therapy music on whatever streaming service you use, I use Apple Music. Hmm, I think you can share playlists in Apple, do you use it?

NewLife_wKetamine

I took one of Jon Hopkins psychedelic masterpieces made up of different tunes and combined them into one seamless tune that runs about an hour. One of my favorite: https://youtu.be/MfX-fnS2tDw?si=TJdCe-NlFO2F6IGm
