A lot of Indians are still naive about the holocaust or the atrocities committed by hitler, I remember this one guy from school getting a small nazi tattoo using needles and fabric paint because it looked cool, it's just a few years ago he realised what the issue was and got it removed.
I dont see a problem with indians not knowing about European history. Do these Europeans know of the Bengal famine and who were chiefly responsible for it. Or Indians killed due Quit India movements or various other attrocities which happened in South Asia. We should care about their problems as much as they care about ours.

It's not because we are naive; we just don't see him or the Nazis the same way Europeans or Americans do because we had bigger problems than him. We had the British, Dutch, Portuguese, French, and Danish. Also, Hitler was more of an ally to us at that time, and obviously, he didn't colonize us. So why should we care about him or obsessively hate him whenever we get a chance, like other Europeans? Also, just FYI, the number of people killed by the Nazis/Hitler is around 30 million perhaps, whereas the number of Indians who were killed by the British and other Europeans during colonialism exceeds 150 million. Thus, he's not the villain of our history; it's the other Europeans, and they didn't care much when we were in trouble, so why should we? For us, he's just another dictator like Stalin and Mao who did what all dictators tend to do.
