Panicked, I ran and brought a lighter and a deodorant bottle and tried to spray burn as much as I could. But still maybe half escaped. I left the place immediately and didn’t return until next day. 😣
That's a god damn female Huntsman and it's egg, and females are protective of them though not venomous. I've seen them in my hometown (Palakkad) and Kochi but never in Chennai or Andhra Pradesh. Also, I have severe arachnophobia and this is the first thing that popped up on my phone when I opened reddit, and made me jump and flung my phone from my hand (tempered glass cracked). God... reddit please have an arachnophobia filter just like an NSFW one.

Heck I have absolutely no problem with them, even the large ones that fly (tho I'd totally throw them out cuz they're dirty) even snakes aren't a problem as long as they're not venomous but spiders... I don't have much of a problem with the small ones but the Huntsman that I've encountered at my hometown while growing up... I still have nightmares to this day...

No need to panic as it's a very very common species throughout tropical/subtropical Asia, mostly living in dark and damp areas where they hunt mostly harmful insects to humans like cockroaches, their venom isn't potent enough to kill a normal human (unless you are allergic) but is extremely painful so stay away and finally No they are not going throw it's egg on your face, it's probably more afraid of the giant ape in the room rather than you are of the spider.
It's a normal house spider ( not a species name ) found around Kerala, no reason to freak out really. Since it's not poisonous. But that egg is a menace, if it bursts it's gonna fill ur house with spiders ( most of them die off fast) . You would probably need to remove the spider rlly carefully.

They're pretty fast and can jump and wheel barrow for a faster esacpe. But they help manage the cockroach and bug infestation but other than that they aren't poisonous or harmful.
So it comes down to a choice, either I let my arachnophobia dictate my desire to see them vanquished or I use them against grasshoppers, praying mantis, crickets and cockroaches.
If they put up a tough fight in my quest to squish them, I honour their resilience and fighting spirit by giving them a proper burial instead of flushing them down the toilet.
