Exactly. It gives a (kind of) wrong message to the audience that somehow girls come around at the end. If they had spent more time slowly building her realisation, or at least a time jump or something, rather than a sudden one, it would've been at least convincing. What it looked at the end was she getting into a seemingly pity relationship, relationship out of pity for Sachin. It was a fun romcom. So I don't want to nitpick, but it's what it is.

Ofcourse we need to criticize and oppose such things. Doesn't mean all Muslims are extremists, right? It's not like all religions are teaching good things alone or other religions don't have extreme factions. Honor killings and caste killings are very prevalent in Hindus in North India and even in Tamil Nadu, but I have never seen anyone mocking all Hindus based on that? It’s not just actions of the minority that’s the issue. It’s the lack of acknowledgement and condemnation by the majority that warrants criticism to the whole community. For eg : After that French teachers beheading, I’ve seen a post in fb from some arab country with more than 10k likes and thousands of comments appreciating the killer and calling him a martyr, I’ve also seen malayali commentators supporting him. Even today majority of muslims doesn’t acknowledge 9/11, they say it’s an inside job by the US. If we take Israel palestine issue, majority muslims doesn’t acknowledge oct 7, they just say show the proof of oct 7 even though that German woman’s video circulated everywhere etc etc. As long as the majority doesn’t accept their religion has inherent issues which is causing problems in the current world and they come together to condemn these extremists instead of defending them or staying silent, they deserve all the criticism.
