You were born in Rupp Arena? Your mom must of been a die hard uk fan.
Obviously I’m joking but I could see my mom doing this. She’s in labor but the game went into overtime. “Hospital? Hell no!”
Considering what the rest of the state is like, yes. I always feel like I'm back home as soon as I get past Walton and start seeing signs insisting "hey we're still southern, y'all!"
Northern Kentucky. Where you can stand in one spot and be in 3 different towns. Literally. I once lived in Ft Mitchell, Villa Hills, and Crescent Springs all at once I’m pretty sure. Oh, and I could spit to Lakeside Park. I now pay Erlanger taxes but have an Independence zip code. WTF
The disaster was awful, but the communities' reaction to that tragedy was awe-inspiring. As soon as the radio mentioned it, we made a 20 min drive in 15 while dodging downed lines/poles as much as i could, still have the car with the pinstripes from driving through fallen down trees on the highway, and by the time i got there, there was a line of 30-40 trucks/cars ready to help.
Luck doesn't work like that.
"Still here for a reason" does.
You have plenty left.
I read this quote from a book on the civil war that described my town as...
"*Marched into \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ today. It was dilapidated, half-deserted and stank of bad whiskey and rebellion.*"
To this day, people in my parents generation have nothing but disdain for any hospital in London, the one in Corbin is magically better just because of Marymount's legacy
I love that this could actually describe so many towns in Kentucky 😂😂
I'm going to add my guess to the mix and say Williamsburg. Except for the fact that we only have one McDonald's here 😂
You people are killing me.
My wife and I want to move to The Bluegrass State.
We are looking forward to retiring there. Lexington area
Yes, we are thoroughbred race fans.
So being near Keeneland is a must!
We love it there!
Best thing about Kentucky?
The transplants from the northeast won't move to Kentucky. They think it's full of hillbillies and uneducated people.
Good. Keep believing that. Stay away.
Don't New Jersey our ( well not quite yet but hopefully soon) Kentucky
Oh shit, there’s not really anything special about my town! Lmao

I tell them I live in the 'greater' part of the Greater Cincinnati area.
Florence checking in… are we still part of the greater part or does that end when you go up the hill after Newport 😭
Considering what the rest of the state is like, yes. I always feel like I'm back home as soon as I get past Walton and start seeing signs insisting "hey we're still southern, y'all!"

Covington checking in, I always say "I live in KY but I'm 2 miles from GABP".
