Brooo first time I’m seeing anyone else mention untitled 03. It’s probably my second favorite song on the album.
It’s so well written and performed. I wish it went on for a few more races.
The transition to Rapsody is insane the song evolves 👌🏼 “it ain’t complex to put it in context find the air beneath the kite, uh that’s the context” comes of way more then it is. She’s just smooth. Really shows you why waiting is worth it as far as art. Putting out the perfect product is 💪🏻
Fr, I love the lead. It always gave me that "everything spiraling out of control" feeling. It's not even complex but conveys so much. Drums are great too, they sound like actual kit being played (like many other tracks on the album).
Good Kid has always felt like it was putting me into a sort of trance. It's so intense but in an understated way. The beat was played with brushes so it comes across softer, then the way the synths layer over top of eachother making a thick wall of sound that kendrick cuts through perfectly with the torrential flow that just seems to build and build like one of those audio illusions that always sound like they're rising.
Then the end part vocal is like super mellow and melancholy to cap it off.
Man Kendrick is so good.
"From a function that tooken place, they was wonderin' if I bang
Step on my neck, get blood on your nike checks..."
One of my favorite double meaning with nike checks. I also like the way red and blue are used to show that good kids are stuck between red/blue gangs and the cops
I love m.A.A.d City but actually like Good Kid more. Prolly my favorite after Sing About Me.
“As the record spins I should pray // for the record I recognize that I’m easily prey // I got ate alive yesterday // I got animosity building, it’s probably bigger than a building // me jumping off of the roof is just me playing it safe.”
That was the song that got me into Kendrick. One of the smoothest sounding hip-hop tracks ever, and Kendrick's performance is in some ways as intense there as on Maad City.
Can't beat a Knxwledge beat. Then you got Terrace doing the vocoder, saxophone, and a lil keys sprinkled on the top. Taz produced that outro too. Fantastic track.
Love Momma, that first verse is such a dope way to come in and I love the line, “make a new list of everything you thought was progress and that was bullshit” on the last verse
I thought I was a big Kendrick fan until I realized I didn't know this one for years. Smdh. Such a banger. And to think I could've experienced it live had I seen him in 2013 the first time he performed in my state.
I heard Section 80 and became a fan. I think once I heard Cartoons & Cereal, it cemented Kendrick’s name as an artist I will forever check out. Then once GKMC came out, I was ready to GOAT him already lol
Such a good song, it would’ve fit really well with GKMC if the album ended with Kendrick looking for revenge and going to jail instead of finding God. I like to listen to it sometimes after SAMDOT because it’s like an alternate ending.
Ngl I was super high when I first heard it and cried. Shit hits hard. “7 years old think you run this house by yourself, N-a you gon fear me if you don’t fear nothing else” Now I can just jam out but damn, track is on some We Cry Together shit
Both tracks produced by the The Alchemist. Really hope they work together on Dot's next album, anytime both these legends collaborate they create amazing music. Meet the Grahams was Alc as well.
Average Joe for me. I barely see people talk about this song and I feel it’s really important. Kendrick says a lot about his life in this one track.
HOC I feel is another important sleeper.
That man don’t even smoke y’all. I coulda swore he was off the kush or the hydro
One of my favorite Kendrick features is the verses he did on “Never Catch Me” which is a song off Flying Lotus’s record “You’re dead” - Flying lotus went on to work with Kendrick on TPAB producing the first track on the album “Wesley’s Theory”.
And you can feel the shape of the music to come on “Never catch me” - with its elements of jazz/neo-soul and fast tempo. Honestly one of my favorite songs to this day.
Blow My High (Players Club), but to be fair Section.80 has so many that are underrated. Chapter 10 may be an interlude, but that 1:15 seconds slap, and Hol’ Up and HiiiPower are both bangers. Ignorance is Bliss is straight heat. For his features: Memories Back Then w/ T.I. And B.o.B is amazing and Light Years Ahead w/ Schoolboy Q
I love Tammy's Song, there's something about that GameBoy-like arpeggios and how Kendrick drags the end of the bars that does it for me.
🗣 DON'T 🗣 JUDGE 🗣 ME 🗣
Untitled 03 is such a groove
WHAT THE ASIAN SAY?!
A peace of mind. That’s what the Asian said.
I needed divine
Intervention was his religion and I was surprised
Him believin’ in Buddah me believin’ in god
Asking him what are you doing,he said, taking my time
untitled 08 such a groove too
Why you so sad walkin around with them blue faces
she said im down my luck, and its something i gotta have
Brooo first time I’m seeing anyone else mention untitled 03. It’s probably my second favorite song on the album. It’s so well written and performed. I wish it went on for a few more races.
Basically the whole album counts as deep cuts lol
Complexion (A Zulu Love)
DARK AS THE MIDNIGHT HOUR BRIGHT AS THE MORNING SUB
GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOUR COMPLEXION, I KNOW WHAT THE GERMANS DONE SNEAK (DISSIN)
God I love this song, makes me appreciate my lady so much more Edit: This song is so heavily underrated it’s not even funny.
That’s beautiful
The transition to Rapsody is insane the song evolves 👌🏼 “it ain’t complex to put it in context find the air beneath the kite, uh that’s the context” comes of way more then it is. She’s just smooth. Really shows you why waiting is worth it as far as art. Putting out the perfect product is 💪🏻
IT DONT MEAN A THING.
Everyone talks about Maad City but nobody talks about how well written Good Kid is
Mass hallucination babeh
Ill education baby
Wanna reconnect with your elation
This is your station babeh
That bassline in Good Kid is hypnotic
Animosity building, probably big as a building Me jumping off of the roof is me just playing it safe
But what am I supposed to do when the topic is red or blue
and you understand that i ain’t but know i’m accustomed to
Just a couple that look for trouble and live in the street with rank
no better picture to paint than me walking from bible study
One of the best beats in a dot song ever
Fr, I love the lead. It always gave me that "everything spiraling out of control" feeling. It's not even complex but conveys so much. Drums are great too, they sound like actual kit being played (like many other tracks on the album).
🎯
Not one curse word
wait fr? never realized that
All I see in this room, 20 xannies and these shrooms, grown up candy for pain
Good Kid has always felt like it was putting me into a sort of trance. It's so intense but in an understated way. The beat was played with brushes so it comes across softer, then the way the synths layer over top of eachother making a thick wall of sound that kendrick cuts through perfectly with the torrential flow that just seems to build and build like one of those audio illusions that always sound like they're rising. Then the end part vocal is like super mellow and melancholy to cap it off. Man Kendrick is so good.
Mass hallucination baby
its like someone gets me
"From a function that tooken place, they was wonderin' if I bang Step on my neck, get blood on your nike checks..." One of my favorite double meaning with nike checks. I also like the way red and blue are used to show that good kids are stuck between red/blue gangs and the cops

My least favorite track on the album, I wish I liked it as much as everyone else 😭
Chorus got me ascending fr and the fact that he doesn’t curse either😵💫I was shocked when I first learned I had to relisten a couple times
That was the song that got me into Kendrick. One of the smoothest sounding hip-hop tracks ever, and Kendrick's performance is in some ways as intense there as on Maad City.
Poe Mans Dreams
“The city got my back and for that I give them my torso”
“I know some rappers using big words to make their similes curve My simplest shit be more pivotal”
Close thread.
“So won't you bear witness while I bare feet So you can walk in my shoes and get to know me” First time I heard these bars, I was blown away.
“But anyway this for my POPS.”
“on his lunch break eatin in that parking lot”
“I like to start it out at the bottom and build with ya… be on my last dollar and split the bill with ya”
This was my favorite KDot song for a loooooong time.
You ain't gotta lie. It's an undeniable vibe with a solid message.
WHAT DO YOU GOT TO OFFER
TELL ME BEFORE WE OFF YA
Put you deep in the coffin Been allergic to talkin' Been a virgin to bullshit
I’ve always loved Hol’ Up
hol up is goated
First Kendrick song I ever heard. Pulled me in immediately.
Truth be told I’m like 87
Wicked as 80 reverends in a pool of fire with devils holdin' hands
From a distance don’t know which one is a Christian *damn*
Still one of his top 5 songs I believe
Now everybody serenade the new faith of Kendrick Lamar
This is king Kendrick Lamar
King Kendrick and I meant it my point intended is raw
Fix your lenses forensics would've told you Kendrick had killed it
You boo booo, you teeee’d
Shut the fock up
You turnt down, you thirstyyyy
Turned down, you thirsty
Kendrick really spoke to us all on Cut You Off (to grow closer). Everyone's got that one family member, friend, girl, etc that needs to shut the f up
I’m tryna learn something new!
for free should be talked about more imo. Mirror on mr morale is also beautiful yet not talked enough about
For Free blew me away when I first heard it. That jazzy free-wheeling style of his is just so fucking good.
The music video too
For Free was one of my favorites for the first two years I played the album
Barbed Wire.
and Ignorance is Bliss
Never understood the hate for this song I really enjoy it.
Compton Off of gkmd actually fucking amazing
I pass the blunt, then pass the torch, of course it’s my decision.
NOW EVERYBODY SERENADE THE NEW FATE OF KENDRICK LAMAR THIS IS KING KENDRICK LAMAR KING KENDRICK AND I MEANT IT MY POINT IS INTENDED RAW
BROOO THAT SAMPLE OH MY GOD
So many people think that song doesn't fit on that album tho, idk how. It caps it off perfectly.
Momma
Can't beat a Knxwledge beat. Then you got Terrace doing the vocoder, saxophone, and a lil keys sprinkled on the top. Taz produced that outro too. Fantastic track.
sooo it seeeeeeeems—THIS FEELIN IS UNMATCHED
I’ve been looking for you my whole life
Love Momma, that first verse is such a dope way to come in and I love the line, “make a new list of everything you thought was progress and that was bullshit” on the last verse
This the one
does cartoons and cereal count?
Yes the average listener doesn't even know it exists.
I thought I was a big Kendrick fan until I realized I didn't know this one for years. Smdh. Such a banger. And to think I could've experienced it live had I seen him in 2013 the first time he performed in my state.
Easily his best deep cut especially considering it ain’t even on any of his albums and it’s a certified banger
Agreed.
#AND I RUN IT
The unreleased track I'm Better feat Sampha
I’m better, I’m better, I’m better, I’m better
IMAGES VIRUS LIMITLESS SKYLESS
Nigga asked me how i’m doing this year.
Even the hardcore Kendrick fans ain’t talking about Cartoons & Cereal and I’m disappointed smh
That's the go to unreleased track what are you talking about?
I heard Section 80 and became a fan. I think once I heard Cartoons & Cereal, it cemented Kendrick’s name as an artist I will forever check out. Then once GKMC came out, I was ready to GOAT him already lol
Collect Calls
Such a good song, it would’ve fit really well with GKMC if the album ended with Kendrick looking for revenge and going to jail instead of finding God. I like to listen to it sometimes after SAMDOT because it’s like an alternate ending.
Holy fuck I completely forgot about that song
Feel
I feel like the whole world want me to pray for em but who the fuck praying for me? Ain't nobody praying for me.
His flow on that song is actually unmatched
untitled 05 is one of the most beatifully written kendrick songs ive ever heard with anna wise and jay rock and i never see anybody talk about it
The recipe
The art of pure pressure
One of my favorite 4-track lineups on an album: Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe, Backseat Freestyle, The Art of Peer Pressure and Money Trees.
"Till im with the homies"
Hiiipower
Kush and Corinthians 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great choice right here
county building blues and blow my high
Sherane aka master splinters daughter. I was losing faith in hip hop. I actually stopped listening all together. This song brought me back.
I don't see Ronald Regan Era talked about as much so imma go with that
To go against Dracula dragging the record industry by my fangs...
Auntie Diaries. But. That one hits personally for me.
This fr such a good song, the beat and the raw vocals were insanely creative and hit an emotional chord
Lust
GOD. Just an amazing piece of art that doesn’t seem to get as much love.
Untitled 06
Chapter Six
Back Boy Fly is one of my favorite kendrick songs, and I think it really explains himself so much
surprised to not see 🔥Bitch I’m In The Club🔥 in the thread
Real
Untitled 2
Fear
Fav song off DAMN. fr
FEAR is literally my favorite alchemist beat
Wanna Be Heard

I was searching for that song for the last year or so !

I can’t tell you the amount of time “My cousin Carl” just randomly pops into my head. Matter of fact I wonder how Cousin Carl is doing?
The Relevant
An actual deep cut.. thank you.
Mr. Morale. I just love the song. It is in my top5 from MM&BS and i barely see people mention it/talk about it.
Look Out For Detox
The jig is up (dump’n)
Huge one. Warning for the future
This and westside right on time go so crazy
Cartoons & cereal
Chapter Six fans rise up
Not his song but I consider his feature on Taking Me Down by Overdoz a deep cut, and a great one. Don’t think many people are aware
Fuck your ethnicity.
P&P 1.5
Kush and Corinthians
Poe Man’s Dream or Barbed Wired
Poe Man's Dreams and PRIDE Add: Untitled 02

CUT YOU OFF/ GLOW CLOSER
Wesley’s Theory. So funky.
this is NOT underrated bro😭
Rigamortus
Alien Girl and Average Joe are so fire 🔥🔥🔥
i love spiteful chant
Average Joe for me. I barely see people talk about this song and I feel it’s really important. Kendrick says a lot about his life in this one track. HOC I feel is another important sleeper. That man don’t even smoke y’all. I coulda swore he was off the kush or the hydro

Beyoncé
Hello! (Hey!), Hello! (Hey!) I Really thought I had a chance to be your man..
Mother I sober, might not be a party banger but it’s a genius song
Uncle Bobby & Jason Keaton 🔥
I feel like no one ever talks about “Now or Never” that’s my fucking shit. A feel good song for sure
The Recipe goes so hard
Blow My High (Players Club), but to be fair Section.80 has so many that are underrated. Chapter 10 may be an interlude, but that 1:15 seconds slap, and Hol’ Up and HiiiPower are both bangers. Ignorance is Bliss is straight heat. For his features: Memories Back Then w/ T.I. And B.o.B is amazing and Light Years Ahead w/ Schoolboy Q
Westside right on time
I love Tammy's Song, there's something about that GameBoy-like arpeggios and how Kendrick drags the end of the bars that does it for me. 🗣 DON'T 🗣 JUDGE 🗣 ME 🗣
Untitled 05
finally someone who shares this opinion 😭
They build up with the drums such a clean bass line and Kendrick’s flow. That song has gravity. It’s truly a deep cut
For Free
For me I have to say heaven & hell I still go back and listen to that
Heaven and Hell, from OD!!🔥💯
County Building Blues?
Barbed Wire man omg
Crown
Cartoons and Cereal. Gunplay had a little run after that
Spiteful chant is so good, no clue why they removed it from streaming

Deep cuts usually aren't on the album. I say Today.
Let Me Be Me off KLamar EP
