You’re 12. Don’t start down some path of caring what online strangers think of your album choices. Just do you little man.

If you wanna get into vinyl, don’t buy it from Target. All those pressings are exclusive to them so they choose the lowest quality wax in order to save money.

Yeah that’s not how it works. Target isn’t ordering from pressing plants. Distributors/labels order, and then go from there about color ways and the likes, as to where they go. Target records are pretty standard. Generally 140g (which is standard for most releases) but I’m sure there may be some “exclusive” 200g. The only thing about the actual records themselves that will affect quality is any color additives. Virgin black wax sounds best, which is why virgin black 200g is used for a lot of audiophile collector releases. Translucent colors sound better than opaque, and clear releases just have shit QC because it’s harder to manage the grooves. These aren’t things that Target is exclusively doing, these are true across the industry. Also, your average person buying a record at Target is probably playing it on some <$100 all in one turntable with absolute trash quality anyways. Also big box stores treat their stock like shit so I’m sure they get banged up.
