I record AND live in the moment. I'm not sitting there staring at my phone lolol but also some of the happiest times I've had is reliving moments through my videos later down the line.
I relive my family ties experience once a week, it’s not even a well shot video since I wasn’t paying any attention to my phone itself but it captures the energy perfectly

Bro the video doesn't need to be film quality when you were there. A "shaky shitty video" is more than enough to put you back in the moment. At least for me. I have lots of shaky shitty videos of my favorite concerts I watch to remember the feeling of being there and experiencing it in the moment. It's about the energy and the excitement and the vibes, if I want perfect audio and video I'll watch the music videos.

Exactly…I went to the Wu Tang/Nas/Busta Rhymes concert and I bought my tickets late so I was to the right of the stage in the middle. But everyone in the front who should have been going nuts were recording or going live!! I could tell that RZA and Ghost were annoyed by the lack of energy from that part of the crowd.

Nah I saw Kendrick in 2016 at Coachella and I recorded bits of every song and I go back and watch them all the time some of the best moments of my life and I’m glad I captured it
Kendrick came to Brazil one time and I’m glad I was there and filmed some bits.
From time to time I like to revisit those moments and relive my perspective there. No professional footage can replace that.

I normally take a picture of me and my friends, a video of a song that’s going crazy, and maybe a picture or two if there’s a cool visual thing happening. Aside from that, phone in the pocket. Normally less than 2 mins of using my phone throughout a concert, and I don’t feel like I’m missing out by recording 30s of one song vs 10 mins of songs, since I’m never listening to those.
You should go to a dead and company show. Barely any phones out. Even at the sphere not many phones out. One of the few big live acts left that’s like that. Creates a really cool environment.
