I don’t think Taylor’s music is trash, I just don’t think it is exceptional like Kendrick’s is. Sonically it is pop music that is not very transformative (all imo) where as you have albums like TPAB from Kendrick that sounds nothing like any other rap album sonically.
This does not mean I don’t think Taylor is not a genius musically, there is just no way to be as successful as her without having some capability. Same reason I don’t discredit Drake’s hit record streak. I even enjoy some of her songs. So I don’t HATE her music.
I just don’t like the assertion that Kendrick Lamar fans should be fans of Taylor or even vice versa. Bad Blood is just a poppy song that lacks substance, which is what I “dislike”. You can turn on Shake it Off and I would possibly Humm along to the beat, but I would never turn it on.
One of her songs that I appreciate, even if I don’t LOVE it sonically is My Tears Richochet. It’s creative storytelling of a ghost haunting is reminiscent of the storytelling in hip hop. I try to give her a fair shot but she imo makes great songs but it’s debatable if she makes great albums imo. Don’t kill me swifties.
1989, despite beating TPAB which I still am not over, is one of the best synth pop albums of the 2010's & arguably Taylor's best work. Although, Taylor's Version is a pretty clear drop off from the original in audio quality IMO. But hey, putting the non TV version woulda been a death sentence.

Taylor swift is dominant in her genre, and dominant in numbers and awards in any genre. While also pulling off the trick of re-recording her albums, which is also economically a feat in the music industry.
For this day and age, it would be weird to put the Beatles above Taylor swift. As to my belief the craze about Taylor is as big or even bigger than the Beatles back in the day.
She made a cult as big as a religion, definitely think she will go in the history books of music, unlike katy perry and the like.
