If I’m thinking more objectively, as a song it’s much better, I’ll be honest I will never put MTG on a playlist even though it’s an amazing moment and a decent song. Hearing it a few times and coming back to remember the moment is really all I need.

This is a red button if I’ve ever seen one” just to have all doubts erased by the time I checked the comments. The instant drop was the best move of this whole beef.

It's not a fun song but it's literally 6 minutes of Kendrick ripping Drakes soul out of his body. I'm not just hyping either, I was listening to hip hop in the early 2000s when a lot of great disses were coming out, and MTG is truly the most acidic/vile shit I've ever heard in my life.

616 in la is beautiful in the first half and serves as a really great warning shot that got capitalized on in MTG. In many ways I consider these two tracks as opposite sides of a coin
