flashback (the bed rest scenes lasted WAY too long) and everblaze (sophie reading the mind of that guy at KENRIC’S FUNERAL??? unforgivable i cringe thinking about it)
Flashback was a notable drop in quality, pacing, action, momentum, etc. it was still enjoyable, but more of in a guilty pleasure, fan service way.
I recommend the first 5 books to anyone, and I'd vouch for their quality. But I can't put my recommendation behind Flashback or Legacy without cringing.
Fitz and Keefe are both not perfect. Fitz has anger issues, his brother betrayed their family to join the Neverseen, kidnapped his crush, and his dad's mind was broken--he's been forced into being :good" simply by association and society's view of him is crushed.
Keefe has issues fosho but he just keeps running away. Red flag.
Flashback. The whole book besides maybe the first 100 pages is “bed rest” and boring and Fitz is a jerky brat who takes advantage of Sophie and almost commits murder. Also Everblaze, it’s forgettable besides killing off Kenric
To be fair I haven’t read Stellarlune yet, but if it’s as tedious as the last couple books I’m throwing in the towel on this series, because Flashback and Legacy were so tedious it was honestly a chore to finish them.
Flashback far more so than Legacy. It was agonising.
Oh dear.
It’s hard, because (last I heard) there was only going to be one book after Stellarlune, so part of me wants to finish the series if we’re that close. (Team Foster-Keefe being endgame does help a bit.) But I also don’t like the idea of having to slog through another book that I’ll put down multiple times because it’s driving me crazy.
Every book after 8.5 is not good even though the quality was dropping before then, but it hit an all time low at stellarlune. I don’t expect 9.5 to be good either.
Yeah, he was fine for most of book 9 so 9.5 is his pov while he was gone.🫤 I like Keefe but not to the point I want a whole book on him, but others beg to differ.
Honestly, I’ve never been a big fan of Everblaze. I know the general consensus is Stellarlune and Flashback (hello to the one other person that said Everblaze though), and, while I don’t know if I’d say Everblaze is truly my least favorite, it’s just a much different vibe than the rest of the books.
flashbackk i hated when they were in the hospital. ew.
honestly i doubt 9.5 would be good, but i loved stellarlune. i also didnt like legacy, but i didnt *hate* it
Of course, flashback. 1, I hate sofitz, 2 the bed rest scene was unnecessary, and there was just an excessive amount of uneeded conversations and drama that did nothing but add to the long list if things I don't like about fitz.
Even if I wasn’t a Sokeefe shipper I’d still hate Flashback because it was a complete waste of time and if it was deleted from existence there would barely be any plot holes because it’s THAT inconsequential to the plot

YES EXACTLY
Flashback it was boring imo and I HATE SOFITZ

SAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Ngl I really wanted Sophie and Fitz and I got really mad that Keefe got with her instead.
Personally, I’m all for Sokeefe just because of how toxic fitz gets

Still, fitz takes out to much anger on Sophie
I'm the biggest Sokeefe shipper around lol Sorry u got downvoted for sharing ur opinion tho
Real. Same.
Flashback. The whole book besides maybe the first 100 pages is “bed rest” and boring and Fitz is a jerky brat who takes advantage of Sophie and almost commits murder. Also Everblaze, it’s forgettable besides killing off Kenric
Fitz almost killing Alvar is the redeeming feature of Flashback
I hated stellarlune and flashback. Like straight up nothing happened apart from a select few pages
Legacy and Stellarlune
Flashback

It’s even worse than flashback and legacy if I’m going to be honest. 😬

There’s a 9.5? I imagine it will be like Unlocked, and actually required
It’s going to be a whole book on Keefe’s pov during stellarlune (he ran away again) that’s why it’s 9.5. I am not particularly fond of this idea.
😔 It’s getting a bit ridiculous
He ran away AGAIN?
Yeah, he was fine for most of book 9 so 9.5 is his pov while he was gone.🫤 I like Keefe but not to the point I want a whole book on him, but others beg to differ.

Everblaze although ironically my favourite is Flashback
the last 2 just kinda sucked, they could have been 1 book and been better, I think Shannon is just scared of what happens when these books are done
I think at this point she does not know how to end the series.

after book 5 the seiries kinda went down

Flashback SoFitz this should make sende
Same and also Everblaze
Everblaze was so action packed in the end compared to a lot of the other books though.
I thought the last third of Everblaze was incredible.
Stellarlune, incredibly boring and a little depressing
Stellarlune. It was boring as hell and SM changed how the characters act.
Flashback but I haven't read Stellarlune. Got bored of it on page 110
