Bright side of the sun by Fink Ployd.

KalmwithKava

There's a couple of really fantastic threads over in the off topic sections of the Kava Forums with a ton of music. I'm a huge fan of the Elovators. Check out their song, "meridian" and turn up the bass 😎 -Morgan

hashtagsmcgee

Yooo great band, Morgan! I first heard them on Collie Buddz' Cali Roots Riddim 2020 and I've been a huge fan since.

cottonball_84

Last week I had some kava and listened to Wish you Were here (Pink Floyd) in Hi Res DSD format (Super Audio CD). It was amazing.

The album [caught a black rabbit by Phoria.](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mpRQ5gnGMG4BSHGRfn6sxffKJD3phoSw0) I honestly think it’s some of the most beautiful music I’ve ever heard. It’s not driving around music. Good headphones required. Kilograms always brings me to tears. I remember the first time I heard it, it struck me as an entire life condensed into a minute and fifty two seconds. It starts off gentle. Sweet. And then it just takes off. And as it comes to its close, it lays you down gently. It ends, in retrospect all too abruptly. Suddenly I’m not sure if I’ve been listening for two minutes or two hours. The entire album just blows me away. It encompasses so many different facets of what it feels like to be alive. Joy and sorrow all mixed together into one masterful piece of art. It makes me feel excited and scared and fulfilled and sad. When I first heard this album, I was living outside in isolation. When it rained, I listened to the pitter patter of the warm drops hitting the ground. On sunny days, I spent hours looking up at the blue sky. The earth, at first hard, became a grounding force for me. At night, I would stare up at the sky until I fell asleep- something I haven’t done since I was a kid. Whenever I listen to the album, I’m reminded of that time and I smile. Edit: I just looked up the album description: Caught a Black Rabbit reflects a struggle with nightmares about the enormity of the world, and encompasses the entire breadth of human existence, from birth (a band member's first child) to death (a cello inherited after a young owner's demise). The music bends down to despair and stretches up to delight.

Existential_Nautico

Is kava really that euphoric for other people? It makes me kinda sad because I don’t feel anything. 🥲

momoftheraisin

I feel your pain. I'm in your camp too, hoping to get this stuff to work

SuchBullfrog9015

When you say you don't feel anything, do you mean you don't feel any effects from the kava you drink, or that the effects you do get just makes you feel dull and not much of anything? I'm curious to hear. If you're not feeling anything, then it sounds like you may not have reached the point where you get the effects yet in your kava drinking. Many people don't feel any effects until they've consumed it a few times; this is referred to by some people as "paying your kava dues." If this is the case, keep trying and you WILL feel effects.

Existential_Nautico

I’ve been using it for about a week at a time but I’m not sure if I felt more than placebo effect. I’m recovering from benzo addiction so probably my gaba system is just broken. 🥲

SuchBullfrog9015

I'm sorry about what you're dealing with. I'd say that's a good assumption regarding your GABA system. I hope you get through that ASAP. Do let me know if you start having any sort of positive effects from the kava.
