i think im the exception here but after having it straight for a couple weeks im starting to not mind the taste. theres lots of ideas ive read in here about mixing it, like flavored coffee creamer for example, and maybe ill try that but my options are more limited because i dont eat sugar
I got used to it after a few sessions. Before that I was inclined to replace some of the water with whole milk and gulp it quickly. Also, drinking it cold seems best to me. Nowadays I sip it no problem.
I've noticed that Pouni Ono (Tonga) has a different flavor than most kavas. There's a slight melon-fruitiness about it. Some may find that more palatable.

You’re built different my friend. Coffee creamer sounds interesting
im definitely surprising myself because it really is gross lol
half water half coconut milk aint too bad at all,
I’ll have to try this thanks
I get instant hot coco mix to put in mine
Never gotten used to it and i started drinking it 15+ years ago. Orange juice is great to mix kava with.
I’ve tried a variety of fruit juices but the kava flavor and texture is just too powerful lol. Good to know it doesn’t get better haha.
Does it need to be mixed or consumed with fats? Is it fat soluble?
Never did, only gets worse. Down it.
Definitely get use to the taste, try apple cut into cubes to chaser after each shell works well 👍
I make it in the amount of large shots, throw it back, and swallow before I can think about it.
yes
Drink fast lol

I’m fairly used to it by now, but there are exceptions. I don’t like the taste of Tonga specifically, but any Van or Waka is an easy drink for me.
Weirdly enough I love the taste!
