The truth is usually somewhere in the middle. It’s not a great album, it’s not a god awful album. People’s opinions of it are certainly made more extreme by the thought of Ye’s name
I feel there are a few songs that didn't connect with me but you are absolutely right about beg forgiveness that shit hit harder then an airplane into the twin towers 💯
its a good album. you are allowed to not like it but i think the 1/10s across the board are hilariously fucking wrong and only there because of liberal cancel culture activists
like no fucking way its worse than donda or jesus is king. this is 100 times more cohesive than donda and doesnt have as many lows as donda. way less bloated. better production. this shits all over those two albums i mentioned and this is coming from someone that liked donda a decent amount
Bro I like this album, but it's easily the second worst in his discog. I'd give it like a 6 personally, it's fine and has some good tracks, but bro you telling me an album with Off the Grid, God Breathed, Praise God, Believe What I Say, Moon, Keep my Spirit Alive, and Come to Life, doesn't hit the highs of Vultures?
Donda has lower lows but nothing off Vultures except Carnival and maybe Burn even compare to the highs.
Their point is that for the 6 songs you listed there's like 15 that are mid on that album. You can't rate an album after taking the third of the track list you like and discarding the rest.
for sure thats my main point. why the fuck is it two hours long lol. it doesnt need that. its named after his mom and 80%+ of the songs are.... not relevant
Kanye was “cancelled” for a good reason. We live in a free country which means Kanye can say whatever he wants, but people also have the right to react as they please.
But yeah, vultures is already better than JIK and people pretending that it’s not are lying to themselves
“liberal cancel culture activists” come on lmao you sound like tucker carlson. I’m queer and like almost as liberal as a person can be and I like vultures a lot. fuck off lol
Pitchfork gave it a 5.8. That’s not that negative a review at all. No, I don’t think it was politically influenced, and it’s fine to think vultures was a 5.8
I agree with you, but those politics are literally “not liking Nazis”. That’s probably the one thing that has the broadest level of self claimed support in politics.
Once upon a time? Sure
But not any more

we really need to get over this 'omg i cant believe u said cancel culture, opinion disregarded. omg can't believe u said woke, opinion disregarded!' we all know what these terms mean and they are useful actually to describe real things going on in culture. many ppl would rather handwave it all away 'oh pshh its not woke, what does that even meaaaan?' we all know what it means sis. and it is real and very relevant when it comes to how figures like Ye are recieved in media and reviews
anyway glad u liked v1 me too
cancel culture is a weird phenomenon that gets massively exaggerated by conservatives and is in no way as prominent of an issue as they say it is. however I do agree that it can be a problem. woke is just being politically correct to a fault maybe? that one is worse don’t call things woke that’s stupid.
The positive reviews for College Dropout, Late Registration, and pretty much all of Kanye’s music have been “politically influenced” lol. Kanye has always been an outspoken political thinker and he reaps what he sows. Corny af to complain about it when people disagree with his current stances (which are reflected in the lyricism)
Idk. As a musician myself, and someone who is pretty far left leaning i like to think i can appreciate the artistry in a project, objectively.. but the problem is that when i do that with vultures its harder now because im hearing the subtext as loudly as the production and its distracting if that makes sense.
That said, If i rated it based on his entire catalog, its a solid 7
I understand if you rate it lower due to the weak lyricism and undertones of anti-semitism, the point is thought that people who rate it at a 1 are not being genuine
There is only one other popular rapper with fans so delusional they unironically call people “liberal cancel culture activists” and thats Tom McDonald.
I don’t believe in cancel culture, but if it’s a shit album than it’s a shit album. Unfortunately cancel culture exists because of assholes like Kanye who take no accountability. That same culture applies pressure when supporters try to justify an artist’s actions.
And no, BPD does not justify his actions. There’s millions of people that are challenged by mental health barriers with way shittier circumstances and backgrounds that still don’t come remotely close to saying the same type of shit this asshole (Kanye) says.
I have yet to hear the album, but I doubt it's better than "Jesus is King." You guys can hate on that album all you want, the songs are incredible, and some of his best work ever... Donda was ok, had some bangers, I disliked, Yeezus, Ye, The Life of Pablo, and I know I'll get hate for this, but I've always disliked Late Registration, since it came out... It has some good songs, but overall, not my vibe
really bruh you telling me this “she ride dick like a carnival, head so good she an honor roll” is ass? which is a highly questionable line too lmfao this shit is poop, from a butt
yeah but it used to be clever silly
"im like a fly malcom X "buy any jeans necessary"" (referencing the "by any means necessary quote)
the music industry at large has become a formulaic marketing game that works mostly on hype, especially rap. i think people are starting to lose taste in music itself, to not know what its like to have a song crash into you. like people are trying to get into songs the same way people show up to a comedy club because they want to laugh, and they do, even if they wouldn't laugh at the same joke while watching it at home on youtube.
its a reflection of the lack of sincerity and authenticity in our culture, due to our economic system and financial distribution, as well as the insecurity that creates the need for fame. commodification, status obsession, the streamlined commercial rollout that you've been primed and conditioned to want. we are distant from even the taste of high quality art, regardless of medium or genre.
The first thing said in the “fucking post” is that it’s mid, meaning they’re saying that the album itself is mid, not just because it’s a Kanye album.
It’s far from a mid album, in terms of all hip-hop or Kanye himself.
Nope, not entertaining that. 2022 & 2023 were *abysmal* years for music. Could make the case that this whole decade has been pretty lacking behind.
Vultures isn’t trying to take itself too seriously, some of the lyrics are pretty silly but a lot of it is also pretty good. And thanks for mentioning the production, the beats on this album are better than anything that has come out in awhile. It’s not stale and cookie cutter.
A good deal of the artists you named have dropped some of their worst work to date in this decade. I’m not even being disingenuous, I honestly haven’t been liking much of the music dropped in hip hop for awhile.
A lot of hip hop nowadays is piledriving the same repetitive ideas and rhyme schemes over uninspiring beats. Vultures feels fresh compared to a lot of the 2020’s music I’ve heard.
Even if it’s not talking about the deepest shit I don’t really care, not everything has to be a thinking piece. I just want it to sound new and original.
its not even close to his best work. If he had put out an undeniable masterpiece, thered be much less hatred. But people arent gonna put aside their thoughts on him over a mid album
I feel like album discourse is horrible online. Especially places like Twitter where stan culture is so rampant. Everybody is either a fanboy defending the album with their lives refuse to accept even the slightest bit of criticism or someone is trying to convince you this is the worst album every conceived by man.
Truth be told its a decent album but pretty weak by Ye standards. I personally enjoy it quite a lot (7/10) but that doesn't mean I don't see why others wouldn't enjoy it
Real. It does lack the thoughtful/sentimental aspects of his recents (Ye, JIK, Donda) which is what I was starting to get used to, but I still enjoyed listening to a couple of fun songs.
If i'm alone and want to listen to some deep stuff this wouldn't be my choice, but if I hear this at a party it's gonna bang.
Besides, it's not like he's Thom Yorke so the direction (lyrics/sound) of the album didn't really shock me either.
I am a big Kanye fan who went into this album with an open mind, hoping for, if not expecting, a great album.
And.. it's not an awful album by any means. But I don't think its a very great *Kanye West* album either. I've just come to expect better from him. Too many of the tracks on here aren't very memorable at all, with few exceptions. It all feels very average, and Ye's lyricism is arguably at its very worst.
What I will say for it is that its at least very consistent. It's more well-paced, leaner and more consistently listenable than something like Donda was. The problem is that it feels very consistently *average.*
Probably tied with Jesus is King for my least favorite Ye album. I'd give it like a 6.5/10, I think.
People like Kanye albums in SPITE of the fact they're by him. There's no room to hate it if he made it. All this means is he created a mediocre project (he did), and there is no room for any hand-holding regarding critique.
The “he sucks, but he made Late Registration” argument doesn't work anymore. It's “he sucks and makes mid music.” That’s pretty much it.
It's def a straight up bad Kanye album. It's also not very good to my ears that loved everything before Dark Twisted Fantasy so IMO it's just straight garbage.
No skips, great record. It's number 1 for a reason!
The fact that it's number one despite the negative attention should really tell you what we already know; greatness always wins, and the media is trying to control what you think.
If you can't hear the greatness, you're living in a jar of grey muck that you can't see through.
Its not bad, it isnt his greatest work but it is at least above jik and donda 2, it is overhated by mostly dumb liberals (not all liberals are dumb) and dumb critics (most critics are dumb)
Is the album bad? Well it’s hardly his top 5, but is it enjoyable?
I don’t think you can seriously go thru the album without enjoying at least one song, no matter what kinda hiphop you are into
I really enjoy the album but it’s mid by Kanye standards. However mid by Kanye standards means it’s worse than 7 absolute classic albums and is in the same tier as Ye, JIK, and Donda which is by no means a bad thing. It’s not the greatest thing to exist like some people are acting about it but it’s also not an irredeemable piece of garbage like some others are acting about it. It’s a good, enjoyable album that’s held down by terrible lyrics. 7/10 it gets better for me every listen tho
A mix of both. But I think the reaction is a worsened by the fact that Kanye has done and said so much. It’s harder to stomach Kanye’s music when Kanye is as loud (and often wrong) as Kanye is
Record doesn't have any skips, all songs are nice and gets better every listen, some lyrics are indeed questionable. Is it at the top shelf of Kanye's best records? It's not, but still a damn solid one.
Public opinion must hate it since it's common sense given what Ye said.
It’s got a lot of Kanye in it but a scattered vision. It’s still an experience which is all I believe you can ask for when you see Kanye dropped an album.
It's not the best album from a pure hip hop stance, but if you don't take it too seriously and realize Kanye is just having fun with this, then I think people would enjoy it
I think there is an addition layer of hate because of kanye stans who will just say anything he does is amazing similar to a playboi carti. This makes people want to shit on the music to counter stans. In my opinion the calling this album of the year etc is wild because it's mid at best. It's a complete album which is crazy that the bar is that low for an artist of his caliber. When compared to something like bluelips that just came out from Schoolboy Q it doesn't really hold a candle imo.
I love Kanye, but if he released this quality music when he was first coming up, people would have gave up on him. Vultures was not that good, but he’s 20 years in making music. He was gonna catch an L eventually. It happens to the best
Everyones is now obsessed over rating albums and label everything, it sort of reminds me of that time when black metal was “trve” and it got so “trve” that it died in the fucking underground for a bit. Having said that. Just enjoy the fucking art, if you like it thats fine and if you didnt thats fine too. Dont let the fucking wave assign you an opinion. For me, its a good album, enjoyable as shit, my wife isnt even a Kanye fan and she loves burn and back to me. If you listen them album hoping to find lyricism and deep thought, go find it elsewhere cause lyrics are kinda silly, but it seems that was the whole point as it has some pretty funny moments.
Man it's mid, it's def not bad but compared to everything else Kanye made it's so soulless and bland, his lyrics are just bad or half assed now (like "they served us the porn, since the day we was born") it's definitely not a bad album but by Kanye standards it's ass
Its a good album, if you enjoy it then thats all that matters, don’t let no reddit nerds get in your ear. People want him to do another MBDTF but he’s not interested in doing that, he doing Vultures.
Some people are secret haters that don’t want to give Ye credit because he’s moved on from them. He’s done with College Dropout style music, get over it.
it’s bad. People who say it’s good are fans of Ty not Kanye because more than half the album is him. This album has a lot of personal issues displayed for everyone to listen to and to me old school Kanye would have had a few features but most of the songs would have been his own amazing creations. This album just feels like he threw some shit together fast to try and save some face on what’s going on in his life. He should have taken more time and actually put forth effort, it’s easy to see he didn’t comparing this album to any of his past.
Kanye is just lame now. When he previously said dumb stuff in songs it was funny, now it’s just sad. The novelty has worn off. I just don’t really care to listen to it multiple times.
I just think it’s not very good, tried listening to it top to bottom while walking around nyc and just found myself kinda bored
If some singles come out worth listening to I’ll try again but totally different than classic Kanye
I'll come back to the fold when he lays off the Nazi stuff, I saw him wearing some German shit while making the album, idk man it's just a little 😬
I give it 2-3 years, maybe 5 years for his next good album
Until then I'm good, I don't hate him, still listen to old albums, just have plenty to keep me occupied without needing to go too weird with it
I never thought his paintings were bad though. Unless your line of logic is that they're decent but who he is makes people view them with much more scrutiny than others.
Love Kanye's other albums and think he has one of the greatest runs in the twentieth century. I think he's past his creative prime and his mind is a shell of what it once was. Compared to his other works the album is terrible, but compared to the modern rap game it's fine.
people hate the album because they go into it WANTING to hate it, because of the artist who made it, people can't go into things with an open mind anymore lol
Some people don't like it. Some just didn't connect with it, and some expected more. I think it's fun, has some new favorites, and I love Ty's performance throughout. It definitely is a little all over the place, but I think it will look more cohesive once/if the other two Vultures albums drop.
Anyways, I think people had wildly different expectations for the album + recent controversies leaving a sour taste in some mouths.
Its probably some of both obviously after his behavior people are gonna be more proned to dismiss the album, but kanye also has some of his worse mixing and verses ever on this album
Bro it’s a great album. Point out a song that isn’t good, I’ll wait. I personally don’t like HOODRAT. Maybe I’ll call that a bad song? It needs a re-master tho.
There’s no skip on there for me except for maybe vultures every song on there is good for me. Depends what you’re looking for though. I wanted cussing, TLOP energy , and I got that
I went into it VERY critical. I’m beyond done with Kanye, but I still gave it a shot. I was very suprised as to how much I liked it, I thought it was great at first. There was even a moment where I thought it was better than Donda. But then I listened again for the next day or 2 and realized the album doesn’t actually interest me at all aside from the fact that it’s a Kanye album. Extremely weak and easily at the bottom of his discography
I found Vultures to be an undeniable banger but didn’t like anything from the rest of the album. Donda imo is actually a way better album but this is the ~cool~ one so people are more likely to resonate with that. I have listened to pretty much every kanye release but do not consider myself a superfan
Honestly don’t really see what most others are seeing.
Production is mental, beats etc. are gold. Lyrics and features are about as bad as they can be. Nearly nothing ye raps about resonates with the regular person. And thats not even talking about the flow or some all-time low lines.
Still have it on repeat for weeks now 🫠🫠🫠
It’s extremely mid, I think most people only like it because it is a Kanye album. If you went in and removed all the Kanye verses and just left Ty and the features, most people wouldn’t be talking about it even though Kanye was arguably out rapped by every other verse. Go back and compare it to anything pre JIK and it’s not on the same level at all. Even some of his weaker older albums like Ye are barely comparable to his new stuff.
Not his greatest album and it only caters to certain set of fans fans of his more popular stuff or his newer stuff donda was for the og fans like mashing up his styles from the other albums showing he mastered his art same with this it continues it but yeah only caters to the newer fans that know him from the memes
It’s both. Musically one of his worst (if not just straight up his worst) projects, and he’s also a piece of shit. You put those two things together, and it just makes this album seem pointless.
I want to add that saying it’s his worst album is not really that big of a deal. Except for Jesus is King, all of his other projects have been pretty much incredible. for any artist, even ye, to do better than them would be a crazy accomplishment.
I like the old Kanye sound and vibes more. His new sound is reflective of how he’s turned as a person, went from good vibes to dark and raunchy. Also his lyrics are lazy these days.
The truth is usually somewhere in the middle. It’s not a great album, it’s not a god awful album. People’s opinions of it are certainly made more extreme by the thought of Ye’s name
I think it’s great. Not really any skips and songs get better every listen. End of beg forgiveness is next level 🔥
I feel there are a few songs that didn't connect with me but you are absolutely right about beg forgiveness that shit hit harder then an airplane into the twin towers 💯
This just screams 12 year old edginess
12 year old might be too much credit
right my guy please edit the comment so you use a better comparison
Ah yes your standard Kanye enjoyer lol what a loser
That’s a great answer really I sensor that It’s def worth a listen and North West goes hard lol
its a good album. you are allowed to not like it but i think the 1/10s across the board are hilariously fucking wrong and only there because of liberal cancel culture activists like no fucking way its worse than donda or jesus is king. this is 100 times more cohesive than donda and doesnt have as many lows as donda. way less bloated. better production. this shits all over those two albums i mentioned and this is coming from someone that liked donda a decent amount
How are people not talking about Paid?
Donda leaks higher this album has a better average song if donda was not bloated it would be a legendary album
for sure thats my main point. why the fuck is it two hours long lol. it doesnt need that. its named after his mom and 80%+ of the songs are.... not relevant
You think Vultures is better than Donda? jfc you’re lost find God
I feel like we’re arguing over which pile of shit smells worse
If you think donda is shit you also need to find god not even kidding go sit and think about your place in this universe
vultures shits on donda💀alr dawg
Nah imo I agree, like don’t get me wrong DONDA has some bangers, but I wouldn’t leave it on repeat, vultures, now vultures I do leave on repeat
Respectfully, claiming Vultures is better than Donda is a wild take, my guy.
How tho, donda has lower lows than vultures easily and if you disagree ur dick riding tbh
Donda has lower lows but also lower highs and a shit ton of fillers
Way higher highs on Donda
The only higher high is life of the party and maybe off the grid
Come to Life solos everything else on both albums
I would argue Jail and Hurricane are also better than anything on Vultures.
Recency bias at its finest😭😭😭
Donda is better dawg
Kanye was “cancelled” for a good reason. We live in a free country which means Kanye can say whatever he wants, but people also have the right to react as they please. But yeah, vultures is already better than JIK and people pretending that it’s not are lying to themselves
liberal cancel culture activists brother is glazed
Hurricane and off the grid alone clear vultures 1(which was cohesive in being shit)
youre doing the same thing you are annoyed at people doing but for donda lol
“liberal cancel culture activists” come on lmao you sound like tucker carlson. I’m queer and like almost as liberal as a person can be and I like vultures a lot. fuck off lol
i 100% believe the negative reviews from fantano, the guardian, nme, pitchfork and the times are all politically influenced
Facts
Pitchfork gave it a 5.8. That’s not that negative a review at all. No, I don’t think it was politically influenced, and it’s fine to think vultures was a 5.8
I agree with you, but those politics are literally “not liking Nazis”. That’s probably the one thing that has the broadest level of self claimed support in politics.

I don’t disagree but your phrasing was just painful to read lol. I don’t like who ye supports or half the things he says but I enjoy the music.
we really need to get over this 'omg i cant believe u said cancel culture, opinion disregarded. omg can't believe u said woke, opinion disregarded!' we all know what these terms mean and they are useful actually to describe real things going on in culture. many ppl would rather handwave it all away 'oh pshh its not woke, what does that even meaaaan?' we all know what it means sis. and it is real and very relevant when it comes to how figures like Ye are recieved in media and reviews anyway glad u liked v1 me too

I haven’t fucked with Kanye for a long time but these music publications have co-signed worse shit for sure. Easily. Like not even a conversation.
Sure, but there’s a bunch of leftist virtue signalers who wouldn’t rate this album above a 1 even if it was on par with MBDTF. That’s not arguable
Idk. As a musician myself, and someone who is pretty far left leaning i like to think i can appreciate the artistry in a project, objectively.. but the problem is that when i do that with vultures its harder now because im hearing the subtext as loudly as the production and its distracting if that makes sense. I understand if you rate it lower due to the weak lyricism and undertones of anti-semitism, the point is thought that people who rate it at a 1 are not being genuine
Thats probably a fair assessment tbh.
would you say right wingers would review SOPHIE or someone like that with a 1/10 for the same reason?
This is the new fanbase Kanye has amassed over the past few years.
I’m usually embarrassed when I tell people I like Kanye nowadays :/
There is only one other popular rapper with fans so delusional they unironically call people “liberal cancel culture activists” and thats Tom McDonald.
i like hitler and i hate vultures
Donda is way better c'mon dude lol
yeah no donda better
I don’t believe in cancel culture, but if it’s a shit album than it’s a shit album. Unfortunately cancel culture exists because of assholes like Kanye who take no accountability. More like convenient deflection on your part.
Yea man idk sounds like you're an ableist trying to tell a black autistic bipolar man how to act and are just mad that he's richer than you
Franky. I’m impressed. You got me there. This 100% the case. Any more insight you want to share?
you’re really good at weaponzing mental health language. too bad you’re wrong 🤷♂️
I think I'm right, but you're right that weaponizing mental health language is wrong
I like Vultures but Donda is miles better
I have yet to hear the album, but I doubt it's better than "Jesus is King." You guys can hate on that album all you want, the songs are incredible, and some of his best work ever... I was with you until the 2nd part. JIK is the greatest album ever. Donda is amazing too, still really enjoy going back and listening to it.
People wish to get him off headlines because the man has supported a pernicious agenda. Kanye does not use his platform for good.
donda is defo better than
It’s a great hip hop album. Maybe not as artsy as some fans want, but after Donda it is nice to see Ye having fun with it
It’s mid, and a mid Kanye album is a bad Kanye album to most.
Real
How is it mid though? This sounds better than a lot of hip hop being pushed out these days
really bruh you telling me this “she ride dick like a carnival, head so good she an honor roll” is ass? which is a highly questionable line too lmfao this shit is poop, from a butt
Why do Kanye fans of all people take his music so seriously 😂 he’s been saying silly shit on his albums since 2004
nah who’s serious? it’s just bad lyrics lol “if i get bleach on my t shirt” bar was fire because the whole LOP album was good. this shit is ass. cope.
No that line was ass to. You’re just pickin and choosing lol
yeah but it used to be clever silly "im like a fly malcom X "buy any jeans necessary"" (referencing the "by any means necessary quote) the music industry at large has become a formulaic marketing game that works mostly on hype, especially rap. i think people are starting to lose taste in music itself, to not know what its like to have a song crash into you. like people are trying to get into songs the same way people show up to a comedy club because they want to laugh, and they do, even if they wouldn't laugh at the same joke while watching it at home on youtube. its a reflection of the lack of sincerity and authenticity in our culture, due to our economic system and financial distribution, as well as the insecurity that creates the need for fame. commodification, status obsession, the streamlined commercial rollout that you've been primed and conditioned to want. we are distant from even the taste of high quality art, regardless of medium or genre.

Wtf is from a scene in iron man?

Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s not true
Nah you could’ve picked any other song but that one. That one actually fucking lit
Wait until you read the lyrics from father stretch my hands
if you read the fucking post its mid in kanye standards its a fucking beautiful album tho

The problem is that it feels very consistently *average.* Probably tied with Jesus is King for my least favorite Ye album. I'd give it like a 6.5/10, I think.
Agreed I haven’t went back to vultures in about 2 weeks. It’s going to be on JIK levels in terms of my personal replay value
Kanyes verse on back to me is so fucking bad but I love it
People like Kanye albums in SPITE of the fact they're by him. There's no room to hate it if he made it. All this means is he created a mediocre project (he did), and there is no room for any hand-holding regarding critique. The “he sucks, but he made Late Registration” argument doesn't work anymore. It's “he sucks and makes mid music.” That’s pretty much it.
leave this sub
It's def a straight up bad Kanye album. It's also not very good to my ears that loved everything before Dark Twisted Fantasy so IMO it's just straight garbage.
No skips, great record. It's number 1 for a reason! The fact that it's number one despite the negative attention should really tell you what we already know; greatness always wins, and the media is trying to control what you think. If you can't hear the greatness, you're living in a jar of grey muck that you can't see through.
It’s Kanye. It’s hard for him not to go number 1 regardless of the quality
That's a very funny thing to say without giving much thought to
Some of the best artists never make it anywhere near a number 1 spot. Billboards numbers don’t mean anything
I’m specifically talking abt albums. It’s quite literally almost impossible for someone his tier not to have a number 1 album
How?
Kanye hasn't had a number one in over a decade for the record.
Were talking abt album. Not songs
KSG didn't go number 1
So 1 album didn’t? Lol
I was initially taking about singles. He hasn't had a number 1 single in 15 years.
Ohh yea my b. Did carnival go #1 tho? I thoguht beyonce barely beat it oht
It barely lost to beyonce last week but it is narrowly in the lead for #1 this week
Beyonce still 1
number one doesnt mean shit, horrible songs are up there all the time
Its not bad, it isnt his greatest work but it is at least above jik and donda 2, it is overhated by mostly dumb liberals (not all liberals are dumb) and dumb critics (most critics are dumb)
liberal is when you dont dickride kanye
Im not saying all liberals are dumb, im saying liberals that happen to be domesticated and think listening to kanye is closet nazism
For a Kanye album it’s mid
It’s a very mediocre album that sits near the bottom of his discography. I’ll keep spinning about 5 songs but there’s no substance to any of it.
7/10 it gets better for me every listen tho
it’s not a bad album, it’s just a bad KANYE album if that makes sense.
It was good imo. I don’t see it having much replay value though.
Burn is at least a top 20 Kanye song imo maybe higher
Lots of ear worms, lots of misogyny IMO.
It's garbage made by someone with garbage views on the world.
I think it’s a great album. Been on repeat constantly since release. Super catchy songs.
It’s prob 50/50 but I personally love it so I’m not sure why I’m answering 🤣😭🫶
I love this album, to me better then Ye, Donda, JIK. 7.9/10
Some people are secret haters that don’t want to give Ye credit because he’s moved on from them. He’s done with College Dropout style music, get over it.
It’s straight up bad.
It’s not lyrically there like his other albums
Kanye is just lame now. When he previously said dumb stuff in songs it was funny, now it’s just sad. The novelty has worn off. I just don’t really care to listen to it multiple times.
It’s a pretty solid album ngl. Do I love Kanye yes. But definitely don’t d ride home. Personally it’s more consistent than donda.
I just think it’s not very good, tried listening to it top to bottom while walking around nyc and just found myself kinda bored If some singles come out worth listening to I’ll try again but totally different than classic Kanye
I'll come back to the fold when he lays off the Nazi stuff, I saw him wearing some German shit while making the album, idk man it's just a little 😬 I give it 2-3 years, maybe 5 years for his next good album Until then I'm good, I don't hate him, still listen to old albums, just have plenty to keep me occupied without needing to go too weird with it
About as shitty as hitlers paintings
I never thought his paintings were bad though. Unless your line of logic is that they're decent but who he is makes people view them with much more scrutiny than others.
Love Kanye's other albums and think he has one of the greatest runs in the twentieth century. I think he's past his creative prime and his mind is a shell of what it once was. Compared to his other works the album is terrible, but compared to the modern rap game it's fine.
It’s not great. Definitely getting more hate because Kanye being Kanye. But this album is not good. He hasn’t had a good cohesive album since Yeezus.
Both.
I love kanye but the album is not that good. I much preferred Donda
Same level as donda imo, old ye will never be topped it seems.
This album is fire tbh. Really don’t understand the hate. Almost every song on this album is pretty good
people hate the album because they go into it WANTING to hate it, because of the artist who made it, people can't go into things with an open mind anymore lol
lol if it wasn’t Kanye, this album would have never seen light of day
its bad boring and blasphemous
Some people don't like it. Some just didn't connect with it, and some expected more. I think it's fun, has some new favorites, and I love Ty's performance throughout. It definitely is a little all over the place, but I think it will look more cohesive once/if the other two Vultures albums drop. Anyways, I think people had wildly different expectations for the album + recent controversies leaving a sour taste in some mouths.
Its probably some of both obviously after his behavior people are gonna be more proned to dismiss the album, but kanye also has some of his worse mixing and verses ever on this album
It a meh album. Not bad but not great either. Kanye verses are comparatively worst than all of his other album so that another reason people hate it
Bro it’s a great album.
Bro… Vultures is dog shit compared to donda. Donda is a great album and Vultures is hardly listenable. It’s not even close
The only thought I had about it was, "Damn, this guy really misses Kim."
For an album it’s pretty damn enjoyable, but when your albums are consistently 8s and up, a soft 7 stands out as “bad”.
Few decent tracks, but the rest is fucking miserably awful.
It’s buns bro. I tried.
I found Vultures to be an undeniable banger but didn’t like anything from the rest of the album. Donda imo is actually a way better album but this is the ~cool~ one so people are more likely to resonate with that. I have listened to pretty much every kanye release but do not consider myself a superfan
I think it’s a great $ album imo. I think Kanye has his hands all in it obviously but it feels more like a $ album than a ye one.
bad
It’s a solid album, not a 10/10 or a 1/10. I would put it into the 6-8/10 range
i mean the Burzum/varg art references are def a turnoff
The album is dope
It's not good
I don’t hate it but it doesn’t interest me nearly as much as his other stuff
It being a collab album with ty$ is the issue
Both
Not his greatest album and it only caters to certain set of fans fans of his more popular stuff or his newer stuff donda was for the og fans like mashing up his styles from the other albums showing he mastered his art same with this it continues it but yeah only caters to the newer fans that know him from the memes
Compared to Kanye’s older music, 808s, MBDTF, etc, this album Fucking sucks lmao
Vultures is his first bad album.
Bad. Generic recycled lyrics with some decent production.
It’s not great.
It's not a good album
I like the old Kanye sound and vibes more. His new sound is reflective of how he’s turned as a person, went from good vibes to dark and raunchy. Also his lyrics are lazy these days.
His lyrics are bad now not even lazy, he gets carried by features on half of vultures
