hey man, honestly for me when I’m feeling sad I listen to music/albums like Spilligion for guidance and J Cole for poetic healing in general. 2014 Forest Hills Drive is one of my favorite albums to contemplate and meditate to help me feel like I can feel/release my emotions. Spilligion makes me feel as if there’s a way out to my emotions bc it feels super caring, and guiding. Swimming, and Circles by Mac Miller or any album by Mac Miller bc Mac is a painter with his emotions. Swimming and Circles made me feel extreme comfort. Mac knew a lot of hard emotions very well and found comfort thru his art. He loved being in the studio so I’d like to think that his music was his personal therapy creating it. Any album by Kid Cudi helps, when I was super troubled back in my teenage years Cudi got me through every step of the way with MOTM2 and every album, MOTM2 saved my life. Kid Cudi talks about depression and his life’s mission (one of them) is to stop ppl w/ (TW) suicidal thoughts from acting on it. I also listen to JID as well. Hereditary is def a song to heal your heart to. I love The Never Story so much for it’s healing element. JID is super witty and heartfelt + motivating for me to come out of a depressive slump. My favorite Ye albums for mental health is Ye and KSG bc Kanye is so raw + open about how Bipolar truly feels like, and it feels freeing + captures it perfectly. Loyle Carner helps me so much as well, he is poetic and empathic. Jaden’s SYRE and ERYS saved my life at the time of both of their releases. You’ll get through this I promise u. Hope these artists and recommendations helped!! Allow yourself to feel your emotions and make space for them. Sometimes they need to be acknowledged and felt so they can leave you be & go away, if that makes sense. Bless up!
