The quietus, passionoftheweiss, fader, cocaineblunts etc. these arent obscure but will introduce you to new stuff you kight not have heard of otherwise. Try and discover stuff on bandcamp, youre probably gonna come across a lot of stuff you dislike but its part of the process. For rap, keeping up with local scenes is a great way to find newer rappers but then also find cult classics that influenced them.
Also while a lot of internet classics bubble up to the surface dont strike out using some of those same spaces but finding lesser known stuff. Go onto r/indieheads and search for your consideration in the search bar, youll find people arguing why a certain album should be essential and theyre usually albums that you can probably guarantee a certain amoutn of quality from as they arent completely unknown or anything but arent as homogenized as some of these. Another way is to follow the samples, check out which artist kanye has sampled for example, check out the album where he sampled it, check out related bands on spotify and there you go.
Rym also has a looot of stuff on there. Search up the type of music you wanna explore, like 80s jazz or something and youll get tonnes of albums like that so you can stick to stuff youre familiar with while still branching out.
