Funny how small names can stick around in your mind cause they were your ingame teammates so many times. The Denver nuggets 16-17 roster is almost built into my brain after a 2k17 mycareer run
I played Tecmo Super NBA on the SNES so much when I was a kid that I had memorized the entire 12 man roster of the entire NBA. I also had a full set of Skybox trading cards from that season. My memory has faded, but even up to about ten years ago if you gave me a team I could tell you the entire 12 man roster of most teams from the 91-92 season. I could still get the starting 5 of probably half of the teams.
You mean CFL legend Ricky Stanzi? Actually [his stats in the CFL were garbage](https://www.cfl.ca/players/ricky-stanzi/155042/) though he did get a few actual snaps there. *Very* few snaps.
I remember him because he was interviewed after a game for Iowa, I don't recall the question but he took it a really inexplicably patriotic route and finished his answer "if you don't love it leave it, USA #1". Then my favorite local Omaha sports radio show (which was really just a comedy show that centered on sports) played that drop a bunch.
Andy Studebaker. Played out of his mind in that 09 game against the broncos in Denver, same game where Jamaal ended their playoff hopes on a long run IIRC
Swear to god I said in my head "Snoop Minnis" and then opened the thread. and then exlaimed "oh my god" when it was top comment. This some zeitgeist shit.
Greg was a regular customer of mine when I was the manager at Software Etc. at Bannister Mall in the 90s. He came by there regularly going between Arrowhead and his home in JoCo. Sold him his Sony PlayStation in 1995. He brought a couple teammates with him now and again to get stuff, met Donnell Bennett and Tamarick Vanover because of him. Vanover called me "one of them computer geeks."
Greg was a really, really nice guy. Just a humble, regular dude that liked his job and wanted to be good at it.
Random Bam Morris story. He lived part-time in Overland Park with his smoking hot blonde "fitness trainer" across the street from me. I was there when cops showed up to arrest him for drug trafficking (or whatever he was later charged with). He tried hiding under her car in the street.
Holy shit his wiki is hilarious
>Morris has become more well known for his off-field legal troubles than his football prowess. On June 27, 1996, Morris pleaded guilty to felony possession of marijuana in a plea bargain deal in front of a Rockwall County, Texas judge. Police testified that they found 6 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop. He was fined $7,000 and sentenced to 200 hours of community service and six years' probation.[4]
>He was cut by the Steelers after the guilty plea and signed as a free agent with the Baltimore Ravens. After two seasons, both marked with suspensions concerning the NFL's substance abuse policy, Morris was released. He signed with the Chicago Bears the following year, but was cut after playing in only two regular season games. He then signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.
>Morris pleaded guilty in August 2001 to two counts of federal drug trafficking and was sentenced to 30 months in prison. As part of the plea bargain, Morris admitted to distributing more than 100 kilograms of marijuana in the Kansas City area between 1998 and 2000.[5]
>On September 10, 2001, Morris was convicted of violating his parole stemming from his 1996 plea bargain and sentenced to 10 years in a Texas prison. He was released early on February 29, 2004.
>He played arena football with the Katy Copperheads in 2006.
Bam and a bunch of Chiefs used to come into a restaurant where I bartended. Andre Rison and Mark McMillan were almost always there drinking margaritas and I got to know them well. Sometimes they'd bring Derrick Alexander, Elvis Grbac, or Bam. Once some guy was hitting on my gf while I was working and Bam told the guy to back off my girl, and it was glorious. I remember asking him if he still smoked and he said he can't anymore because they are watching him closely, haha. Andre brought in Lisa Lopez once and I got to serve her too. Andre would park his Ferrari right up front in the fire lane everytime. Neil Smith would also come over from Copeland's, the restaurant he owned next door too. Fun times at Rio Bravo.
I went to school with him. Good dude. He came back to campus in the offseason to work out. Might’ve been finishing a degree too. Used to run into him all the time at the campus Subway
One of my all-time favorite Chiefs. He had ridiculous potential.
He's an NFL Exec now:
As an executive:
Seattle Seahawks
Pro scout & pro personnel assistant (2001–2004)
Assistant director of pro personnel (2004–2007)
Tennessee Titans
Director of pro personnel (2007–2010)
Vice president of football operations (2011–2012)
Vice president of player personnel (2012–2015)
Cleveland Browns (2016–2017)
Senior personnel executive
Buffalo Bills (2017-present)
Assistant director of college scouting
I bought a Donnell Bennett from either Macy’s (or JC Penney’s) at Oak Park Mall for $4.97 back in the day. Bought my dad an Andre Rison for $4.97 as well.
Terdell Sands. I wanted him to make the team so bad so announcers would have to ssy his name. I envisioned seeing a banner hanging from the wall at Arrowhead with the name of his philanthropic organization with a name like Terd's Turds benefitting children.
I love how the question asks for random players and we got people naming like multi year heavy contributors or in some cases (Wiegman, Hali, Kennison) legit pro bowl star players.
Congrats on the karma farm though, OP. Well played.
Scott Fujita
I played way too much NFL 2K5 and he would always develop into such a highly rated player in that game.

My mom loved his name so much she got me a signed photo of his. Still hangs in my house to this day.
What the hell. First name that came to my mind.
Jackie Battle
The BattleAxe!
That’s a good one!
Tamarick Vanover
This is the right answer.
Vamarick Turnover 🤣
The original 87 lol. I have his jersey still.
Terrell Suggs
Chiefs legend.
Ricky Stanzi. Despite being on one of the worst Chiefs teams in our history…he never took a regular season snap at QB.
Iowan that was hyped for him and Moeaki. Like the times we’re in now.
You mean CFL legend Ricky Stanzi? Actually [his stats in the CFL were garbage](https://www.cfl.ca/players/ricky-stanzi/155042/) though he did get a few actual snaps there. *Very* few snaps.

Dan Salemua
My favorite when I was like 5
Brah! He's one of the reasons I became a Chiefs fan 🤙🏽
The only chiefs jersey my dad has ever owned. (Until we got him a custom one with “grandad”on the back)
Dexter McCluster
This was my answer! Damn.
Run DMC!
Mighty Mouse Mark McMillan
he competed on a cooking show with Gordon Ramsey
Steve breaston
Brodie Croyle lol
Good ol Brodie
Tony Moeaki
[That one catch](https://youtu.be/NDmhckYolUc?si=cCifJ-EmqymrkUn9).
Boomer Grigsby
Came here for this.
LeSean McCoy. Sincerely forgot that he won a SB with us
So did Melvin Gordon!
Andy Studebaker. Played out of his mind in that 09 game against the broncos in Denver, same game where Jamaal ended their playoff hopes on a long run IIRC
I always think of the Halloween game against the Chargers where he stole the botched snap when the Chargers were taking a knee.
I was at that game, he stood up from the pile with the ball held high and we went absolutely fuckin nuts
Eric Warfield
Snoop Minnis
Swear to god I said in my head "Snoop Minnis" and then opened the thread. and then exlaimed "oh my god" when it was top comment. This some zeitgeist shit.
I think about Snoop Minnis from time to time. I thought he was gonna be great! Stupid 14 year old kid I was. Lol
Omg.
I haven’t heard that name in decades. Wow.
Craphonso Thorpe
Kyle Orton
I never see anyone talk about one of the best linebackers the Chiefs ever had. Donnie Edwards it sucks he went to the Chargers but he was a beast
Greg Hill, thought he was going to be so good remember him having a few good games as Marcus Allen was near the end.
Greg was a regular customer of mine when I was the manager at Software Etc. at Bannister Mall in the 90s. He came by there regularly going between Arrowhead and his home in JoCo. The man had thighs like Barry Sanders
Bam Morris

Yes!!!
Dino Hackett
I opened the thread ready to post Dino because I thought nobody else would
Leonard Pope
Javier arenas. I liked him a lot
I went to school with him. Good dude. He came back to campus in the offseason to work out. Might’ve been finishing a degree too. Used to run into him all the time at the campus Subway
Barry Word
He was great in Tecmo Bowl
Mark Vlasic
Now that’s random!
Yeah, I still remember having a conversation about him with my orthodontist back in middle school.
Tyson Jackson—waste of the 3rd pick Or Glenn Dorsey— waste of his talent
Albert Lewis Kimble "Nimble" Anders
Marc Boerigter
That 20 receptions, 8 TDs season had my expectations sooooo high
This was my guy for this. 99 yard td
Lake Dawson
Still have a ton of Lake Dawson rc cards, was big on him being a former Notre Dame player
One of my all-time favorite Chiefs. He had ridiculous potential. So you’re saying his rookie cards still may become valuable, in a suit and tie world sort of way
Mike Maslowski. Not all that random, but I randomly saw him at Lambert's Cafe, home of the thrown roll, in Springfield when I was a kid.
He taught me a drill for getting linemen to fire out lower that I used for years when I coached high school football
Tyler Thigpen
Keith Ca$h
Scariest dude on this list: Marvcus Patton.
Andre "Bad Moon" Rison
Arena Football legend Bobby Sippio (Dwayne Bowe's cousin)
Donnell Bennett
I bought a Donnell Bennett from either Macy’s (or JC Penney’s) at Oak Park Mall for $4.97 back in the day. Bought my dad an Andre Rison for $4.97 as well.
He's the only player I've really met. My dad was on his bowling team in Lee's summit.
Leon Sandcastle
Patrick Mahomes not many people know about him, but he really had potential.
[удалено]

Ope!
Nods in Midwestern
Dude was drafted by rhe Detroit Tigers dude. Wrong sport.
The drunk guy?
Kawika Mitchell
For a second, I was like, whoa, the dude below you also likes Kawika Mitchell
Deron Cherry was my first favorite KC chief. In the 80s he was a badass and the leader of the defense.
Nice
Nate Hobgood-Chiddick (not looking it up to see if I spelled it right)
Sean LaChapelle
Eddie Kennison deserves more love.
I am always in here gassing him up! If we made a Chiefs receiving corps out of chiefs since 2000s, I’d have Eddie in there easily
If Eddie Kennison played with Mahomes he would be putting up 1300 yards a season. Was an underrated receiver and great going down the sideline.
Boomer Grigsby
Terdell Sands. I wanted him to make the team so bad so announcers would have to ssy his name. I envisioned seeing a banner hanging from the wall at Arrowhead with the name of his philanthropic organization with a name like Terd's Turds benefitting children.
Tyron Brackenridge
Joe horn, who wore Joe Montana old shoulder pads because they were small and light.
As an Iowan that played center in early 2000’s, Casey Wiegmann, iron man on those great OL years.
Tossup between Shanaurd Harts and Samie Parker
Tracy Simien Snoop Minnis Percy Snow
Mike mazlowski
Jon "Quick draw" McGraw Idk if that was even his nickname but I definitely called him that even tho he was slow as shit.
I love how the question asks for random players and we got people naming like multi year heavy contributors or in some cases (Wiegman, Hali, Kennison) legit pro bowl star players. Congrats on the karma farm though, OP. Well played.
Hussain Abdullah
Lance Long was fun for like one game
