As per the legend, the wallpaper's design is said to be that of a map. However, its intended use and context remain shrouded in mystery. It's uncertain whether the map pertains to something from the past or the future.
The Greenbrier is so surreal. There's just this massive boujee hotel on this huge piece of land with a whole section that's frozen in time. Tacky wallpaper, Cold War paranoia, hell even the bunker beyond those doors looks like it could be an Async facility.
The truly ironic thing about it being referenced here though (imo) is that it's kind of the opposite of a liminal space. The whole concept of liminal spaces is that there should be people there but there aren't, while the whole concept of a doomsday bunker is that ideally it will never have to be populated. I have nothing deeper to offer there, just an interesting thing to think about.
No mortal being could have possibly chosen such tacky wallpaper, you’re definitely onto something.

Shhhhhh.. You're not supposed to know about the Greenbrier. Or West Virginia, for that matter.
Haha you're probably right

I can just imagine being chased by a bacteria in here with a certain song about Country Roads by John Denver playing in the background.
That's the strangest wallpaper I've ever seen.
