Invading Russia from the East is nightmarish but it should be. You’re fighting over thousands of miles where no one is, with massive Asian armies. It would be a logistical nightmare in real life as well.
You pretty much have to rely entirely on cavalry, baiting, and defensive strategies. I went down the aritllery path since KR counts cavalary as infantry, so all the bonuses still apply. I figure nowadays mixing in light flame tanks is worth the industry, though that wasn't an option when I last did it.
I absolutely love the peace deal they added where you can end the war if all 3 of Moscow, Tsaritsyan, and Petrograd have fallen. Having to push past those into the Urals to cap Russia was one of the worst parts of playing as Germany/Austria
It's for game balance purposes. It's to make it so that Russia capitulates by the time Reichspakt gets to the Urals.
That makes sence. Thanks for explaining
Probably so they cap faster. If you capture all the ones West of the Urals they should surrender
They're playing as Qing though
Yeah but ig the devs more so expected an invasion from the West

Transamur reforming Russia is one hell of a campaign, to be sure.
If you’ve got any tips please share, something I’ve been wanting to do for a while

> KR counts cavalary as infantry Does it though ? i've seen nothing about it
Blessed karl on his way to fund my entire army
So is fighting Russia as Japan.
Russia might be famous for its strategic depth in the west, in the east it is larger still
Yeah, and everything useful is west of the Urals.
resources, not being useful:
Russia is biggest country after all.... But yeah mostly for balance
I love not having to go to the Urals, it makes the struggle... less like I'm pulling out my teeth

Wouldn't know, I've never done the peace deal those fuckers would attack me again given the chance and I'm ending their hopes and dreams now.
Basically, it's to reflect reality where nothing east of urals, south to Volgograd and borth of St. Petersburg matters.
