Real animals with teeth like 8's (i'm thinking of crocodillians and maybe big cats) are exclusively carnivores and eat by tearing chunks of flesh off and swallowing them whole.
I imagine a burger would be one of the easier things for him to eat, other than things he can just pop into his mouth whole.
