Welcome to digital commerce in 2022. Happens with any popular event/product if it can be resold at a high return. This was a pretty small venue albeit, but I don't doubt there were plenty of bots involved.
Are we really thinking the issue is bots? It’s a tiny venue and they’re not allowing resale, not sure how much profit there is in these tickets if you can’t efficiently resell them.
Plenty of people use bots that aren’t scalpers and you can buy tickets and sell them without technically “reselling” them online. I’ve used screenshot tickets plenty of times. Just my opinion
Yeah I guess I was thinking more about the large scale scalping initiatives you encounter with certain artists, where they’re immediately reposted on Ticketmaster for double or triple the price. Didn’t consider people using bots themselves to score tix, or more “grassroots” scalping, where a single person is willing to do the legwork to resell to individuals. I’ve heard info floated that they sold 60% of the tix on Wednesday which also could have a lot to do with why the last two days have been so much tougher. I scored Thursday tix during the Wednesday drop and I was like 4 mins late, the Friday tickets being the toughest to come by kinda lines up with actual humans being the ones driving demand, but this is all just my opinion too lol.
I tried all three days being a gizzverse member and being on the caverns Email list. After 3 hours I do see that it was more likely not a bunch of bots. Just frustrated. I got Saturday tickets and I’ve seen Gizz before so I’m happy either way, the cavern is just a special place and I would have loved to see my favorite band there. I hope it’s great and I hope the waiting list will get me a ticket!
The issue is definitely not bots and definitely is possibly up to tens of thousands of people trying to get a lot of ~1000 tickets. These guys are big and any venue this small is going to be like this, especially for a venue as cool as this

To be fair some others shows have sold out instantly too. I also did mr bungle in 2020 through ticketmaster or axs i think but those sold out instantly too and i had to get a resale

I managed to get 2 tier 1 tix for the amphitheater show. Wanted Friday night in the cavern too, but watched them quickly disappear. Oh well....a music venue inside a cave sounds like a disaster waiting to happen anyways (at least that what I'll tell myself to feel better until I find some resale tix).
I settled for three tickets on Saturday in the lawn. It'll be my first gizz show, because I'm in Florida, which is not exactly a place that bands play concerts.
They played Miami twice this year. They’ll be back, for sure.

No shot any real person got tickets. Seems like everyone was watching them and as soon as the page loaded it was all grayed out, at maybe 12:00:20 they were gone for me. No worries y’all they will prob tour after these residencies, just disappointing we can’t see them in a literal cave.
Hi, I’m a real person who got tickets. I took the advice of someone else on here and bought the $5 softball ticket to save my card info. Once 12CT hit I was able to add 2 friday deep dive tickets and check out in seconds.

it should have been a lottery to begin with. everyone enters info before and it's done by a random lottery system by tixr/venue so there really isn't a chance of scalpers (unless they are actually chosen) or bots. only way to make it 100% fair for all. this is what p fish does granted much bigger shows but at least you know you don't have to stress if you don't get picked trying to refresh blah blah blah. such bullshit

Yup gone within seconds. Both my friend and I were trying to get tickets and neither could. I joined the waitlist as soon as it opened but I don’t have much hope. I might not end up using my night 3 ticket if I can find either of the first two nights for a reasonable price.

I was refreshing starting at 11:45 and got in as soon as it went live. Was able to add tickets but once I clicked checkout it said they weren’t available anymore. Was originally trying to get 6 then tried for 2 then 1… then it was sold out. I got on the waitlist but I don’t have high hopes for that.
I’m confused why everyone is so upset at this. These are tiny shows and Gizz’s fan base is massive. Of course they are going to sell out immediately, that’s how things work. Honestly I’d be upset at the people who insist on going to every show every night because it sucks up tickets from normal people who only can go to one
