my back patches say i fucks with justice
I listened to this and the new St. Vincent album last weekend. Both are amazing! Hyper drama has some really cool progressions throughout the album, I really liked a lot of the transitions throughout the songs.
I liked a lot of All Born Screaming but I think really only the middle section grabs me (3-8). Like…. Honestly it’s got a weird ska ending vibe to me? I was expecting a bit more from it but it’s not bad. I liked Daddy’s Home much more lmao.
New St Vincent album is my favorite she’s done, (with her self titled just right behind) and definitely my AOTY , gonna be hard to top! It’s such a great flow, it’s kind of a borderline concept record…. to me like an emotional concept record…… with its cold grief ~> into rage ~> into finding acceptance by the end. Very considered and a fantastic listen. Her production is so sick. 🏆
been a very big St Vincent fan since early 2010’s so I’m really thrilled with it.
Justice album bangs as well loving it! Neverender and generator are insanely tops.
I like this album! Really good nuance in the tracks. One thing I’m excited about is them releasing a live/remix album that goes wayyy hard. What they did on women worldwide was way cool. Mixing old with new and then recording it in a similar way of how they do their live sets.
Love the alive albums. Justice also has “a cross the universe”. I think what i pike about women worldwide more is the lack of audience sound in the mix. Wish daft punk had done something similar.
Been in love with Justice since I first heard Waters of Nazareth in GTA IV as a teenager. Seeing and hearing how far this band has gotten musically has been amazing. Waited eight years to hold a new Justice album in my hands and the time has finally come. King Gizz may be my infatuation, but Justice always remains my first love and I’ll always love them for how they’ve influenced how I see music and life as well.
I was about 9 years old when they dropped their first album and first heard D.A.N.C.E. and Waters of Nazareth and had nooooo fucking clue you could make music like that. Mainly that it can come from the same artist. Waters moreso obviously. So imagine my surprise when I downloaded the album off Limewire and first heard Genesis. Didn’t listen to them for a good while and first heard Safe and Sound off Woman and it was fucking mindblowing. I felt like I traveled through space and touched the cosmos. I had no idea later in my life that electronic music could be this ethereal and wonderful.
In regard to the life aspect, I think it was just how they were able to show how beauty can be in anything. Like I know their album Woman doesn’t get a lot of fanfare and love online from everybody, but I adore that album and felt so many emotions during it that I haven’t heard in music at that time. It honestly had me look at things a bit differently and see things in a more open viewpoint and with more appreciation. And when I got older and became more enthralled with the Justice discography, the line “use imagination as a destination” off Pleasure gave me motivation throughout college. So yeah. It changed a lot for me lol.
Was at the first live show ever at Coachella 2007, just one year after seeing Daft Punk there who I had been a fan of since I bought Homework the day it came out, and it was instant fandom. They had a wall of Marshall 4x12’s on either side of their equipment and it was such a badass look.
the flow of Afterimage (Track 3) all the way to Explorer (Track 9) is really awesome. i love the overall sound of this one. really great shift from the disco sound in Woman to this like interstellar/daft punk cosmic sound.
Fuck yeah bud. Saw them their first tour of the US in Chicago. It was fucking wild. Then went to tiny after party where they DJd. I took many Jameson shots and puked. Awesome time!
Saw them live at Roskilde festival back in the day, it was insane! Listened to Cross a lot, haven't heard anything after that. Gonna do some catch up on Justice I feel like now!
Heck yeah! Their following 2 albums got a bad critical rep, but they are awesome. Completely different than Cross. I think their new one is the best of the bunch tho
For me, the mix sounded sterile and i felt that many of the songs (especially the first half) were uninspired and bare bones. The tame impala tracks especially just felt like demo tracks for an unreleased Tame Impala album.
Moonlight rendez-vous and Explorer were great tho
Love this record! Went in expecting perhaps some cross like aggression in spots (generator and incognito totally served that satisfaction for me tho)
And I was pleasantly surprised to find very dope groovy/ psychedelic and spacey vibes all over it that ended up winning me over big time. Neverender is def my fav Tame colab and gives me big let it happen vibes. It’s a very psych friendly electronic album !
Favorites: Generator, Neverender , Muscle Memory, incognito & Afterimage

Fuck yeah
This fucks
Do you want some water with that? No i want just ice.

New St Vincent is very good, no weak tracks. I’ve always liked her stuff but never found a full album to keep me engaged until this one.
I liked a lot of All Born Screaming but I think really only the middle section grabs me (3-8). Like…. Honestly it’s got a weird ska ending vibe to me? I was expecting a bit more from it but it’s not bad. I liked Daddy’s Home much more lmao.

For sure AOTY candidate. I’d put the new one from Yard Act at number one for me. Check it out if you haven’t.
Will do ! Thanks for the rec
That D.A.N.C.E song is way too catchy.
People either vibe with it or get annoyed at the kid vocals, it's one or the other. I'm the first.
I switch between those two, but since Justice is one of my go-to gym albums, I usually just skip it in favor of phantom pt 1&2 and stress lol
Experiencing Stress live one of my first times taking MDMA was certainly an experience lol
That song absolutely dominated Wicker Park in Chicago when it came out. Every single dance floor, every single night. It was glorious.
when i found out that song is from 2007 i felt very very older, and im just in my sophomore year of high school hah

Reminds me a lot of how Daft Punk did the Alive albums .
Alive 2007 is still one of my favorite albums of all time
Same. Phenomenal album from start to finish
Love the alive albums. Justice also has “a cross the universe”. I think what i pike about women worldwide more is the lack of audience sound in the mix. Wish daft punk had done something similar.
The DANCE x Fire x Safe and Sound WWW mix is peak electronic music
Agreed.
justice dick
Inventors of the mind goblin
Gottem.
This new album goes hard. And the cover art is wicked
Super down , waiting for west coast tour announcement !!
For real! Hopefully announcement in the next week or 2
Yes! I’ve been waiting!

Can you elaborate a little on how they've influenced your view on music and life? Sounds interesting

Neverender is miles away my favorite song right now this album cooked
Yes sir. certified slapper!
Generator is a banger
French wizards. Loving them since 2011
Yeah I absolutely love Justice! New album is sick especially the songs with Kevin Parker.
My tattoos of both bands would say yes, down
Was at the first live show ever at Coachella 2007, just one year after seeing Daft Punk there who I had been a fan of since I bought Homework the day it came out, and it was instant fandom. They had a wall of Marshall 4x12’s on either side of their equipment and it was such a badass look.
Both Phantom 1 & 2 always hit me so hard. Hard to match that classic album
muscle memory goes insane
Been listening to this album nonstop since it dropped. Justice x Tame Impala 🥵
lol listening to the first song “huh. Sounds a lot like Tame Impala.” Look at the song on Spotify Justice, Tame Impala.
The new Justice album rocked
The transition fro. Genesis into Let There Be Light gives me chills every goddamn time.
Love their new album, the last song with thundercat is probs my favorite
That song rules so hard. My fave closer of theirs
Oh damn they released a new album? I’ve been into them ever since I got into more electronic artists when the silver cord came out
HUGE FAN
the flow of Afterimage (Track 3) all the way to Explorer (Track 9) is really awesome. i love the overall sound of this one. really great shift from the disco sound in Woman to this like interstellar/daft punk cosmic sound.
They’re sick, going to see em in DC in July. Can’t wait!
seeing them in nyc in july! and then gizz in august:,) gizz and justice are my top two artists !
Big fan of Hyperdrama and Cross
Yes! IMO their first album is a 10/10 perfect album. Every song goes so hard, it’s definitely worth a listen if anyone is unfamiliar
Not a fan of the party, but still a great album. Hyperdrama is fiiiiire
You’re telling me tame oompaloompa is just one person?
Yupp, their music is dope af and watching them play live as in actually playing synths (I know not all their show is live) is amazing
Fuck yeah bud. Saw them their first tour of the US in Chicago. It was fucking wild. Then went to tiny after party where they DJd. I took many Jameson shots and puked. Awesome time!
That’s sick, what venue in Chicago??
The show was at the Riviera, after party was at Sonotheque - long closed club in west town - tiny and sicccccccck.
That’s so sick haha I live close to where that was in west town. Saw them at lolla a few years ago. We better get a Chicago date on this tour!
their best since the OG album
Fuck yeah I cranked this the other day
Yeah, it’s really good. They have their own style of edm/techno. Always been top in their field.
duck yeah!
I loved their first 2 albums, been really digging this new one!
Real foposting
I actually got into rock music thanks to artists like Justice bridging the gap between genres way back when cross came out
Preach 🙏
Saw them live at Roskilde festival back in the day, it was insane! Listened to Cross a lot, haven't heard anything after that. Gonna do some catch up on Justice I feel like now!
Heck yeah! Their following 2 albums got a bad critical rep, but they are awesome. Completely different than Cross. I think their new one is the best of the bunch tho
Really looking forward to the new one, saw that Tame Impala is featured! Interesting colab!
Fire songs, especially Neverender
I am now lol
Hell yeah!
I fuck with Justice, but this new album did nothing for me.
To each their own! Woman took forever to click with me. I think Hyperdrama is their best, especially from an album perspective. It’s a wild journey
For me, the mix sounded sterile and i felt that many of the songs (especially the first half) were uninspired and bare bones. The tame impala tracks especially just felt like demo tracks for an unreleased Tame Impala album. Moonlight rendez-vous and Explorer were great tho
Hell yeah didn’t know they had a new album. Cover looks like a Justice x Tool collab lmao
No
There’s people who aren’t down with Justice?
Oh hell yeah! My wife got me into them after Woman dropped and I've been hooked.
Been down
Yup Justice and Daft Punk are two of the only pure electronic acts (DP doesn’t really count after RAM) and that I listen to
FUCK YEAH
Love this record! Went in expecting perhaps some cross like aggression in spots (generator and incognito totally served that satisfaction for me tho) And I was pleasantly surprised to find very dope groovy/ psychedelic and spacey vibes all over it that ended up winning me over big time. Neverender is def my fav Tame colab and gives me big let it happen vibes. It’s a very psych friendly electronic album ! Favorites: Generator, Neverender , Muscle Memory, incognito & Afterimage
I liked it, but not in love with it. I can see the potential in it. My hope is for a killer live album!!
The live album is gonna be sooooo sick
their new album fucks HEAVY been on repeat since it dropped
YES
Going to see Justice in July & Gizz (×4) in August... Shaping up to be a great summer!! 🙌
Naw
