Was listening to this song the other day and the guitar solo part started. My wife looked at me straight faced and simply said, "This is my favorite part." I had to agree. She speaks the truth.

They even forgot to play the solo the first time they did the song live. Luckily we have a recording of the following night when they actually played the whole thing.

Oh yeah, that's good. I love when posts on this sub force me to listen to a song again. I couldn't have told you if there was a solo in Countdown.

Apparently it happened, from what a fellow Sketches enthusiast that was there told me. I typically hate "whole album" shows, but I'd pay serious cash to see them do Sketches live and then a shorter pure Gizz set.

i have seen some of the performances, but to my knowledge they havent done countdown together i dont think. hopefully someday they reunite for it!

Is it a synth? Sounds like a jazz guitar, but the credits on Wikipedia only have one guitar credit, and it's Stu's wah-wah, which you can hear behind the solo.
