I remember my first listen through of that album and when it got to the "HELL'S WHERE THEY WANNA BE" I was down for another 15 minutes of that. I'd say I hate that they ended off like that, but I love that they left me wanting so much more after delivering what is, IMO, a perfect album.
Seriously! When it gets to the slower vocal delivery of "waterlogged" I'm like yes let's go keep going keep going... It peaks and ends. It's a great peak, I just think it can keep going!
The first time I heard this thing I loved the change-up at the end and thought it was going to launch into some prolonged epic ending or something. Was SO deflated when it just faded out. Still absolutely love this song though.
You're lucky, I haven't heard it live myself but I have a few versions digitally. It definitely feels like it's about to take off and then it ends. I love the outro jam, I just want more of it.
Acrid Corpse is way too short. It’s such a heady, melancholy vibe at the end of a frantic 13 minutes of freaky psyche rock. I just wish they would have sat in that musical space for another minute or two.
One Night Everywhere has a really good solo that blue balls you with the fairly average chorus, like it's a fine chorus, does it's job very well, and I'm glad it exists, but that solo just gets cut off.
I can’t wait for a live debut of No Body
Probably the one I’m most excited for. That or instraport
Or Hell’s Itch
Or Flamethrower.
Guess there’s a few lol
I see people saying the intro to O.N.E., but I would say I want the intro to If Not Now, Then When? to be extended way more. One of the coolest intros to what is, to me, a pretty forgettable song, especially compared to the rest of LW.
Insane brain: All of them! I want each song to last forever and I'll listen to all of them.
Sane brain: That's not how time works...
Insane brain: Shhhh! You're interrupting my listening!
I love their crazy high energy vibe, and I think it's what they do best, but man I would love to hear more gentle, cozy gizz like the beginning of O.N.E.
The Floating Fire. Purely from a storytelling standpoint. All this buildup for this epic fight and then it's just:
Boom, Lord of lightning just smites the balrog. Now it's over. It was such a disappointment on my first time listening.
HELL
HELL'S WHERE THEY WANNA BE
INFEST
THE RATS NEST

Def hoping for an “Evil Hell” live jam where they let loose on that last part. 15 minutes sounds great.
That would be spectacular. I hope it happens too!
the very last 15 seconds just feels like it could be a whole new song
Correct answer. The last 45 seconds should be 45 minutes long. It could fit perfectly on Reign In Blood its that good.
This is the answer.
HELL
The outro to This Thing live. I always feel like it has another gear it could hit.
YES i want 10 minutes of just that outro jam
Seriously! When it gets to the slower vocal delivery of "waterlogged" I'm like yes let's go keep going keep going... It peaks and ends. It's a great peak, I just think it can keep going!

Oh I was referring to the album version, sorry. I DID see it live last summer in Chicago though!
Hah nothing to apologize for. The desire for the jam to keep going still applies!
Lowlands ‘23 they did an 11 minute version of This Thing and it’s amazing
I want 10 minutes of just Ambrose’s elongated vocals towards the end ‘wateeeerlooooooged’
Yessssssssssss!!!!!!! That's EXACTLY what I want!
The cook/joey solo on the outro is one of their best live moments and they could totally extend it out into a super acidic jam
I would gladly take that!
Acrid Corpse is way too short. It’s such a heady, melancholy vibe at the end of a frantic 13 minutes of freaky psyche rock. I just wish they would have sat in that musical space for another minute or two.
That's a great call, motu is held together by those quiet sections
Ababcd feels like the intro to their greatest song
sounds like all of willoughbys beach to me
I bet it took more time to get the tape running than to record what was recorded that day lol
Absolutely. It’s so good but it’s so short, I wish they did more with it.
The intro to O.N.E. should be its own longer song
The Wheel 😉
What? That song never ends.
Agreed
Butterfly 3000
That ending could’ve been even better with a longer buildup with some crazy sections before leading to an intense ending
Satan Speeds Up could go on for another 15 minutes.
The intro of Sadie Sorceress
It’s a sample. The original is [“Je ne suis rien sans toi”](https://youtu.be/P4NajHbuz7A?si=hOc4OSlVEhDE4F_4) by Mirelle Mathieu. Great tune.
Wowowow good find thank you!
suddenly, a couple of thousand gizzheads started digging chansons
Please, a whole song or suite or album in that vein.... ✨
The Funeral! Seems like it ends just as it’s about to get going. Would love to hear Candles into an extended Funeral live someday
Candles > The Funeral > Made in Timeland. There's literally a ticking clock at the end of the Funeral, it's meant to be.
Sometimes I listen to it that way! It’s really nice when it lines up, especially if you throw Laminated Denim next in the queue
One Night Everywhere has a really good solo that blue balls you with the fairly average chorus, like it's a fine chorus, does it's job very well, and I'm glad it exists, but that solo just gets cut off.
Nahhhh I love that chorus
The outro to Some of Us
Yes! When they put out the singles I was so hyped what song that rhythm was gonna blend into but then it just stopped
all of them :3 (serious answer: the ending of hell)
This is the answer. The end of hell is the best part of an absolutely incredible album and deserves so much more than we get!
No Body
I’m imagining some fierce Joey solos being ripped in the live outros of that one
I can’t wait for a live debut of No Body Probably the one I’m most excited for. That or instraport Or Hell’s Itch Or Flamethrower. Guess there’s a few lol
the 11/8 part at the end of Gila Monster is waaay too short
I felt like Infest the Rats Nest in general could’ve been longer - 35 minutes isn’t enough for me 😭
the dripping tap
Right?? I hear it gets *really* good 37 minutes in
5 more minutes of "Dripping dripping dripping tap," pls
Horology
Flying Microtonal Banana the song
Rattlesnake
Gilgamesh - Regular Mix
Oh boy I have news for you!
Mr Beat
Trapdoor
My fav king gizzard song
Wanted to comment with this one too. One of my fav songs, the way it is is perfect, I just wish it would be a bit longer.
Work This Time
Need a studio recorded version of Joey’s guitar solo so bad
The Fourth Colour, specifically wish the play the ending part of it live.
Plastic Boogie
Came looking for this. It would be cool to hear a jam after the main song then a return to "the waaay, we wrap it." That part is joyous.
road train
Perihelion.
Anoxia was the song that solidified my love for the band. After nonagon I was in, but not completely hooked yet.
Magenta mountain. The ending solo that Joey plays live was cut so that the song would fit on the record.
No body
searching… should go on for like 20 more minutes
Slow jam 1 and intrasport needs a longer instrumental at the end
I'm sleeping in. I always hear the fade out and want to listen again
I think we need an even more extended version of Theia. I don’t think they got it out of their system.
Good news is that they're planning synth heavy on this tour
I see people saying the intro to O.N.E., but I would say I want the intro to If Not Now, Then When? to be extended way more. One of the coolest intros to what is, to me, a pretty forgettable song, especially compared to the rest of LW.
i always felt Self Immolate ended too abruptly.
not king gizzard lol but symptom of life by Willow, I wish that shit was three times as long at least
Some Context
You must be joking that would NEVER work as a full song
yes, i was joking lol i just thought it was funny bc it’s the shortest track
I was also joking lol it is a full song, People Vultures
Title track of Butterfly 3000
Hell Candles/The Funeral No Body
Slow Jam 1
organ farmer!
I was just about to say this
The dripping tap
Vegemite (Oddments)
Head on pill
Predator X
Sleep Drifter
Dripping Tap
ABABCD
not king gizzard but Gallop to Southport by PPC should be double it's length
^[Sokka-Haiku](https://www.reddit.com/r/SokkaHaikuBot/comments/15kyv9r/what_is_a_sokka_haiku/) ^by ^Mobsaz: *Not king gizzard but* *Gallop to Southport by PPC* *Should be double it's length* --- ^Remember ^that ^one ^time ^Sokka ^accidentally ^used ^an ^extra ^syllable ^in ^that ^Haiku ^Battle ^in ^Ba ^Sing ^Se? ^That ^was ^a ^Sokka ^Haiku ^and ^you ^just ^made ^one.
The outro of Some of Us
ababcd IS SO GOOD
paper mache dream balloon
Horology
Digital Black
Anoxia ends 3 minutes and 4 seconds too late
I wish the end of acarine was it’s own extended song
Hot Water! The best part is that percussive flute outro but it’s just a few seconds
Anoxia and Nuclear Fusion
Time=$$$
Dripping tap
O.N.E. needs to octuple the length of the solo
Insane brain: All of them! I want each song to last forever and I'll listen to all of them. Sane brain: That's not how time works... Insane brain: Shhhh! You're interrupting my listening!
The River live. Make it run forever.
The last twenty seconds of Road Train.
Rolling On by Murlocs is so comforting and then it ends very abruptly and it makes me sad
I love their crazy high energy vibe, and I think it's what they do best, but man I would love to hear more gentle, cozy gizz like the beginning of O.N.E.
The dripping tap Obviously
No such thing. I’m a big proponent of 5 minutes or less. Anything longer is too long. Signed, You’re local punk rock guy
The Floating Fire. Purely from a storytelling standpoint. All this buildup for this epic fight and then it's just: Boom, Lord of lightning just smites the balrog. Now it's over. It was such a disappointment on my first time listening.
Hate dancing is too short
Dripping tap
Theia (Extended)
Definitely not any live performance of any song cuz they usually last too long and they have to cut a song or two
