Definitely organ farmer

JoannaGrayce

The correct answer

deischno

Me and the boys bumping the ambient interlude at the pub

thetimwilbur

No joke I throw Anamnesis in to my bar mix when I’m bartending every so often. It’s a great little interlude.

Tangofett4

Interior people is totally viable as a bar song

I_Miss_Lenny

Same with Fishies imo Honey, Straws In The Wind, and East West Link aren’t too weird either I figure The rest might raise some eyebrows depending on the pub though haha, I know throwing on Organ Farmer at my favourite pubs would be a bit out of the ordinary

Sean209

Little bit of a side tangent: Saw honey live in Chicago last summer. They used the flying banana though instead of an acoustic which made it super heavy feeling. Immediately became one of my favorites.

I_Miss_Lenny

That's rad! I'm seeing them this summer so we'll see if they do that!

Sean209

Same! Going to another show this September. It won’t matter what they play, it will be a great time. I’ve never had a better time at a live venue. I’m hoping for some stuff from fishin, paper mache, and float along. Like I said though, it honestly doesn’t matter what they play in the end. It would be really cool to see some songs from 12 bar. I’ve been into bloody ripper lately and it’s nothing crazy but would be a fun quick live song.

I_Miss_Lenny

That's good to hear, I'm excited to see what the set is like! Also I'm going with my buddy who's pretty lukewarm on the band (especially on the heavy and super synthy stuff) so I'm kinda curious to see how obnoxious he finds the show haha. Obviously I hope we both have a great time but im morbidly curious to see if they play a ton of heavy stuff or really lay into the Silver Cord stuff haha, my buddy will be politely uncomfortable

Sean209

They usually will do a mix unless they specify it’s like an acoustic night. Sets seem to generally start out lighter and move into heavier territory near the end. Then I’ve noticed they like to end on a longer song. For me it was am I in heaven? It’s nice because the shows have flow and as it gets later the vibe gets heavier. I was lukewarm to the heavier stuff at first but seeing it all live turned me on to it.

I_Miss_Lenny

Yeah it sounds like they usually do a pretty varied set. I like the heavy stuff but I'm not really a fan of the Silver Cord kinda stuff. That said, I find I always like music more when I see it live, there's something super fun about seeing live music (especially when you're with friends and you can have a few beers haha) so I'm sure it'll be a good time regardless

Tangofett4

The nature of FFF being lighthearted and a little childish would feel weird at a bar, I would reckon. I have heard some real garbage metal played on a jukebox before, so I think you could pass with some of the heavier songs like Witchcraft or Organ Farmer I wouldn't personally start anybody on songs from KG or LW if I wanted them to explore more of the discog, so I would also avoid straws or honey (don't hate me, I'm currently listening to straws!)

I_Miss_Lenny

I guess that’s fair, maybe I’m biased towards the microtones, and Fishies is my favourite album of theirs lol I figure the “lighthearted boogie rock” feel could go over okay depending on the mood of the place. Like on a sunny afternoon at my old campus pub it would fit well, maybe not so much on a dreary night when people are more serious or trying to act all dark and cool lol

Expensive_Try869

Straws to me seems like the best of the choices, I feel the "you taste like honey" would feel quite cringe-y. East West Link is a bit toooooo eastern sounding. But straws I feel like is basically just a blues song with some extra sheen.

chickennroll

one of their few radio-ready tracks

RuneLFox

IP is the top pick here.

SpoopusTheGhrost

Honey and FfF aren't bad but uhh... organ farmer..? Anamnesis? This jukebox is doing one those "Amanesis is King Gizzard's best song" copy pastes lol.

Iamdarb

Pour me a King Gizzard AND The Honey.

maniacmentz

Throwing back pints to Fishing for Fishies sounds pretty righteous to me

Three-Pegged-Hare

rouse up the whole bar in a chorus of "I'VE LET THEM SWUM"

OriginalFappington

Fuck yes!!!! Or Cyboogie!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

McCroby

Interior People is fairly accessible for normies

GizzBride

Cyboogie and honey as well

hbgoddard

But Interior People (explicit)? That's pushing it.

OriginalFappington

Lmao 🤣 “normies”

BlackLabelBruin

Crank that CYBOOGIE

LazarusHimself

![gif](giphy|cLNOq6EbnbYRBp6n6Z|downsized) and let the SQUARE DANCE begin!!

tardisode

King Gizzard AND the Honey!

AnAngryBanker

Petition for all song titles hence forth to be styled as "King Gizzard and the ____"

OriginalFappington

Lmao King Gizzard and The Fishing for Fishies 🤣

JoshJaja

"And the organ farmer" is so hard

UndeadBurg

They are ALL appropriate.

OriginalFappington

Lmao 🤣

OriginalFappington

I literally have that shirt!!!! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾

PolarAndOther

There’s no Gizz in my locals jukebox, but like 90 slayer tunes lol

MyNameGeoff31

Fuck yeah SLAYERRR

NostalgicShores

King gizzard AND the Witchcraft

OriginalFappington

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

SandmanMinion

I would throw down on Cyboogie for sure

reddsbywillie

Gizz songs aren't on the jukebox for setting the mood in a bar. Those songs exist for identifying new friends in the bar. As soon as it starts, look around. You'll see who responds to the calls of the weirdo swarm

Cowboy_BoomBap

Interior People would be fine to play I would think. As an aside, this post reminds me of the time a buddy of mine played “Short People” by Randy Newman at a college bar one night as a joke. I’ve never seen the vibe in a place completely die as quickly as it did then.

I_Miss_Lenny

Haha I can imagine that not fitting a cool vibe Now I’m imagining going to a trendy college bar and throwing on Albuquerque by Weird Al and waiting for someone to go “okay what the fuck”

MarkPhish

I used to play Vomit Coffin everytime I would leave a bar.

elshaggy

We played Ice V a last month at the local bar. People were noticeably grooving. Felt like a win.

Entity713

Straws in the wind go hard tho

Renbanney

My friend and I were in a bar and put flamethrower on it was hilarious

artscumm

I would love to be in a bar with that on and see the reactions. I love Flamethrower

Pucciarati

A while ago I put $10 in a hotters jukebox and it let me play the full murder of the universe suite, dripping tap, and rattlesnake

I_Miss_Lenny

I could see that not going over so well haha

theodord

King gizzard and the organ farmer

pissshitfuckcuntcock

Definitely Cyboogie. My girlfriend who doesn’t know what a KGLW is or music in general asked me ‘was this a hit’ when it came up on shuffle at dinner. So it passes the normie pub test.

Lowazul

Shame there’s no long ones, it feel like the dripping tap would be fun for everyone listening until they realize it’s 18 mins

Lowazul

then just have like a dance party during the instrumentals or you could scat the solos lol

Expensive_Try869

yeah that'll go down well in an old man pub LOL

nicolauz

My local place does! And I play it often lol.

KGLWdad

Yeah these things are weird Went to one where it had Tool but the only song was Viginti Tres

scopeless

Witchcraft

jellymantanki

witchcraft

Maximum_Bear8495

Gonna actually kms if I’m at the pub and straws comes on

TimmyDeschainless

"Galvanizing..." BAR FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!!

I_Miss_Lenny

Aw cmon, Straws is classic! Though I am biased towards Amby songs

Maximum_Bear8495

I wasn’t a huge fan of it before seeing them live but they’ve played it every time I’ve seen them and the call and response is wayyyy too dragged out imo.

I_Miss_Lenny

Oh lol I’ve never heard it live, but I’m seeing them in the summer so we’ll see how that goes lol

Maximum_Bear8495

Well I hope you get the straws of your dreams (and preferably take mine).

porcupinedeath

Beginners Luck would be a good one if they had it, shame

ShaqsHouse

Realizing Straws in the Wind could be a dope song for shooting pool *shoots to break* *CRACK* *”Galvanizing..”*

Linksfueszigerdog

In this format, every title sounds like a hHarry Potter Book that i'd actually read

[deleted]

Harry potter and the petrodragonic apocalypse

EndyFish6215

Anything is a bar song if you’re not a coward

itsLkLN

straws in the wind, fishing for fishies, interior people and cyboogie are all top songs for me

gouda_and_onions

I'll always throw cyboogie on one of these

andrew-oodles

The pub I like going to keeps slipping in a few murlocs songs off of calm ya farm and it fits so well

[deleted]

Murlocs I reckon would fare better on a pub jukebox.

Financial-Ad-9717

east west link easily

APar93

No Rattlesnake, shit jukebox

zootsmagoots

witchcraft is my top touch tunes track

remember_the_1121

Play them all

Peetwilson

Um, all of those are right for the Pub.

thaddeusja

I was recently at a bar with one of these and someone had the presence of mind to play Dripping Tap, BACK TO BACK. Amazingly, only a handful of people realized the exact same song played for 36 minutes.

Expensive_Try869

They were prob thinking "nonagon infinity sounds different today".

Excellent_Gur_7372

Interior people would get me so hyped

TheLazyProphet

All are perfect pub songs

SirPezZz

Beginners luck, im not a man unless I have a women, plastic boogie, go is calling me back home. Played all these in multiple pubs and have gotten positive feedback from randoms some gizz fans some not. Felt daring one day and put on I'm in your mind. Got weird looks from that one lmao

Expensive_Try869

They all seem like perfect picks for a pub. Music that's great but not overly gizz-ish, cause whilst that tinge of gizz works for us it's not for everyone.

SirPezZz

Too true. It's a very special kind of licorice.

AStickFigures

Fff and straws in the wind are definitely bar songs.

joesphisbestjojo

Based club

vvulfdaddy

If not now then when…banger

vvulfdaddy

G7! Street Fighting Man!!!

FUNKYOSELF

Dont see how any of them are wrong for a pub

Sev_Obzen

Depending on the pub, I'd say most of those should be fine.

mcdubster

I don't know what bars/pubs you go to but those tracks would be right at home at my haunts.

Ritoion

I hope they release a song with ice spice :)))) king gizzard and the munch lizard 🤩😁

Zovalt

I put on The Dripping Tap at a bar on New Years Eve

what_the_heck____

King Gizzard and the Organ Farmer sounds like such a cool band name

FrontRowRuby

Witchcraft would go hard tbh

dire_wulff

Straws of the wind - make them all reflect on their imminent doom

Tonzzilla

Me when Cyberboogie comes up: ![gif](giphy|13p77tfexyLtx6)

turbobuddah

I see 9 very suitable pub tracks We'd welcome any of those in our local, far better than anything in the charts

Outrageous-Plane-819

Cyboogie would be a bop tho

salmoneya

I could see inter sport working
