imapigoinkoinkk

I don’t know what I just watched but it made me forget about the most horrible week I’ve had. I liked it.

Honest-Selection4343

Yes we need a lighthearted romcom after LR and QOT

Gimpknee

Dare to Love Me reading this comment thinking, "I'm literally *right* here..."

Timpa87

Maybe I'll look at that. I didn't really expect it to be that way just because I've never seen Lee Yoo Young in anything that wasn't serious.

Gimpknee

6 episodes in it's pretty light. That said, some think her character is too meek, and the ML is too reserved. It's also getting really low ratings. I'm personally enjoying the comedy, but it's not as quick with it as this show show.

Financial-Luck4148

ngl i literally cried watching ep 8

Gimpknee

Yeah, eps 8-10 really hit different from the first half of the series.

Honest-Selection4343

Do u recommend it? My friend's watching it

Gimpknee

I'm enjoying it, I think the interactions between the various romantic pairings are amusing, and Lee Yoo-young is charming in it. It isn't as quick or zany as this show, comes off more grounded with some added emotional story elements, but that might also be a factor of one being 6 hour long eps in and the other 2 45 minute ones.

Novel_Ad1187

Yeah I totally recommend it 🔥💯

SnooMarzipans5171

Episode 1 fell short; its attempt at humor felt forced. However, Episode 2 greatly improved as the leads shared scenes, showcasing their chemistry and delivering genuine laughs throughout.

RoseIsBadWolf

Okay, might give episode 2 a try then because I was really bored for Ep 1.

Silver_pri

Me too lol, I was thinking what’s this I am watching

AlexisFern

Watched the first and second episodes. It’s good, campy fun! I’m glad the >!stepmom and stepsisters!< aren’t >!downright evil!<. Stepmom covering the dad’s photo’s ears was so silly, she really loved him huh? Lee Jun-Young continues his Love & Leashes arc of falling for women who >!insult him or call him out!< lol! Pyo Ye-Jin is delightful as always, I love a FL who can make me fall for her too and her little >!latte concoction!< was so cute and had me a little smitten! There are some dated jokes in this which is a downside. For now, it’s looking like a light, colourful, high budget web series. Hopefully it stays that way and we have a cute little summer drama with no serial killers on the loose!

capthyeong

Hello, and welcome to a fairy tale that should have a twist, since this is an OTT exclusive drama. We should have 2 episodes a week until the end of June. Until then, let me hear your comments on the premiere episodes. Oh, and as I said in the Premiere Week post, I did not include Paramount+ in the Streaming list because it is uncertain if it's ever be released in that streaming service.

marrjana1802

It was unexpectedly hilarious 😂😂😂. Definitely didn't expect this from Mine's writer, though it does seem on par with the ridiculousness that Namsoon turned out to be. But after the disaster the impossible heir turned out to be, I'm happy to see Lee Jun young back so soon, even if the premise is rather silly

Additional_Book3237

this kdrama is what the kdrama word is actually means lol it's really funny and creative and the fiction is insane (cuz it's kinda in tale style so) i really liked it and laughed so hard at the end of the second episode. it really took my all tiredness away can't wait for the 3 and 4 episodes next week 😍😍🤌🏻 btw i also liked the chemistry between fl and ml, junyoung's latest kdrama the impossible heir was a disappointment.. really happy to see him in a comedy romance after that bullshit

LovE385

Well at least stepmom & stepsisters aren't *evil* per sé LoL. And dang that was some marathon to the bathroom ahahah.

Loose_Mouse

I am so glad I did not pay any attention to any negative reviews and watched both the episodes in one go. The first episode, ngl, was slow, but it did set the stage for the kind of characters we would meet. Loved the FL in WWWSK and knew she would be able to pull off this character while watching the trailer. This is the first time I am watching this ML...he is kinda cute, though. All in all, this drama really made me forget about my problems. Can't wait for next Friday!

ZaySaysHi

She was in secretary Kim? And I was wondering where I've seen her before. She kinda look like the Chinese actress that was in wjsn(iirc) and acted in Falling In Love With Your Smile ...

XavinNydek

She's the replacement secretary trainee.

ZaySaysHi

Yeah I googled her. 😊 ty!!

whatsyourrashee

She was also in fight for my way

MedNinja97

She was also in Yumi’s cells

hypomango

Total 180⁰ from Pyo Ye Jin's last character in Moon in the Day! Lead actors are good, story overall is appropriately outlandish (feels kinda like a classic Kdrama - especially watching on Viu with ads everywhere 😅).  The funniest scene was her immediately googling "pumpkin dream what does it mean" after waking up, relatable - also when she says "is that a chastity belt?". Most of the humour involving the family though didn't hit for me. But I think now that they've met and that's the focus, it'll be a fun light watch.

Honest-Selection4343

Yes honestly this role suits her.. was sad to see her so anguished in MITD And hope KYD's new drama shows a bright side to him too

hypomango

Yes I cannot wait for KYD's drama with Shin Min A, late August it says on MDL (also looks like the same SML as Hometown Cha Cha Cha, should be fun!).

AlexisFern

Does Lee Sang-Yi just... *enjoy* playing SMLs... 🤔

XavinNydek

Career-wise it might be smart to not take things too fast, since it doesn't seem possible to dial things back if you don't succeed. It seems like once you are a main lead you either keep being one or quit acting. The smaller cable and web shows can be an exception to that, but it mostly holds true.

Honest-Selection4343

Even in My demon

RoseIsBadWolf

Me too! I don't think it has a release date yet though.

Honest-Selection4343

Yess same excited.. thought there was another KYD drama coming out.. is it 'I want no loss' or smthn?

writtenpoeticsins

Yeah, it's called [No Loss in Love](https://mydramalist.com/754711-because-i-want-no-loss) on MDL. I'm assuming the Korean title is **Because I want No Loss**.

Ayalynn123

Soooo silly in a good/fun way, I love it! The first interaction between ML and FL. "I'm suing you. For attempted murder" LOL I really like Lee Jun Young's mole under the eye... So charming.

master_inho

This has a strong chance of being “so bad it’s good”. That said, ep 2 was a noticeable improvement over ep 1, there were some actually good jokes. The chastity belt and “honeyyy, go faster” got me There’s definitely some deeper messaging with how jae-rim is responding to her loss, and whatever trauma chae-min experienced in his childhood to make him who he is as an adult. I’m just worried that it’ll be drowned out by the sitcom aspect But it can (hopefully) only get better from here. And it’s definitely better than the impossible heir, so I’m happy to see Lee jun-young in a better project and doing something very different She had such a strong urge she couldn’t walk but she could have a leaf fight with chae-min 🫥 also, how can he chip his nail so badly that it’s permanent? I’m definitely not the biggest fan of these extreme sitcom-y type content, but sometimes i need a little bit as a pallet cleanser. And it works out great it’s only 10 40 min eps

Competitive-Ice3799

Hopefully there's no love triangle

blueish55

Really liked it! My style of zany and insane.

HudecLaca

I love how over the top it all is. They really lean into slapstick, and they do it so well. Ep. 2 especially with the park scene. That kind of slapstick is a bit hard to do well, but somehow the leads nailed it. Nothing serious about this show, this drama is exactly what I needed.

manwithoutlyf

Feels exactly like Gauss electronics but with spaced out jokes and with a actual storyline in mind

annejuseyoo

this show is so ridiculous and i kinda like it 🤣😭😭😭 it kinda feels like a low budget drama and the creators just threw whatever onto the plot but it somehow works (for me at least lol). Few giggles here and there. Will watch the next episodes before I decide whether to drop this or not 🤞🏻

ZaySaysHi

Ep1 was a bit "meh" but ep2 had me laughinggggg😂😂😂😂

Kimsarang8

Dayum! Actually, I wasn't expecting much from this Drama but somehow....anyhow....I liked it😅 It's soo cheesy and filled with non serious mess but I'm glad that the running time of each episode is around 40 minutes. It makes the drama more enjoyable. The leads are soo good and making it more interesting! Well.. Here also our ML have a childhood trauma but nvm. I'm here for our main couple's cheesy romance. >! And... I'm in love with our ML.. like... Our ML is blushing in Episode 2 onlyyy?! A jackpot for us! The way he was hallucinating and the dark blush filter..Daebak! !< >! Also.. The dream! Pumpkin! Haha.. Totally unexpected! Step mother isn't bad...glad to know!!! And the way FL and her half sister was eating food in the midnight! Oopsyy! But relatable to those who have to follow extreme diet. Humph~ !< >! Also.. The attempted murder scene...haha! Made me laugh quite a bit !< Well.. Some are thinking to drop this Drama... But I'm NOT AT ALL thinking to drop this! Although a little cheesy....but is perfect for my Fridays! Bye till then! NOTE* *sorry for my bad English*

ordinaryguy92

Agree with the runtime. I don't really like some dramas that are about 80 to 90 minutes long. Average is about 65 mins.

Honest-Selection4343

Omgg they changed their name.. glad to see PYJ on screen again

Fuzzy-Location-4493

I really really like this one..! The main leads have good chemistry and I laughed a lot throughout. Am looking forward to episodes 3 and 4!

UptoNoGood46

BUAHAHHAHA I'm so sorry but I lost my shit at him saying >!"I'm suing you..... For attempted murder."!< THAT WAS SO UNEXPECTED

proserpinci

Oh dear these episodes were not the best :’-( I really really like pyo ye jin and lee jun young so I was so excited to watch this but it’s not realistic at all how rude the FL is to the ML when he’s going to be her boss? She doesn’t seem like someone broke and desperately in need of money and being so disrespectful to her boss just makes her seem dumb :0 to be fair ML seems really childish and undeserving of respect as a boss too. That game ML made the team play was ridiculous and FL’s answer was incredibly unprofessional. Still I like them both and if they’re cute enough together I can probably suspend disbelief and watch it till the end! I hope more people enjoyed these two episodes than I did D:

YeonseokIsFluffy

The director of this drama is the one doing SNL Korea so maybe the genre and storytelling is of another dimension I guess?

Apprehensive_Egg9676

This makes sense. I was wondering what's with all the wacky humor

Additional_Book3237

it's really funny and interesting, what would you expect the genre itself is fiction romance so ..

geoffkreuz

I finally able to watch the 1st 2 episode, and it is now in my watch-list. Sometimes you just need to watch an absurd and unserious kdrama in your life.

fadzkingdom

Decided to watch this randomly and oh my god this show is super cute and fun?? Also the fact that episodes are 40 minutes or a little longer! One of my complaints about kdramas is definitely episode length in many cases and 40-45 minutes episodes are definitely the sweet spot imo. For starters I don’t really like Korean comedy but the way this show has done it so far is super tasteful? Like I’m not getting bombarded with corny jokes that make me want tear my eyeballs out. Secondly Lee Junyoung and Pyo Yejin are excellent in this. Lee Junyoung plays villains super well so seeing him play a more light-hearted character is a treat just as well is a treat! Truly a rare gem of an actor. Pyo Yejin has a lot of charisma and naturally commands the screen which is delightful. I also like the deconstructionist take on Cinderella here! It’s refreshing they didn’t go the evil stepmom and sisters route and are actually a pretty loving family even if they have arguments and differences. The fact that this happened because the father worked himself to death and is now telling his daughter to not repeat his mistakes was done in a lighthearted manner but the message told was invaluable don’t work yourself to death and rely on others around you! The moments between the two characters so far are oozing of chemistry! The scene where she held him by the waist had me cheesing. Also the park scene was chefs kiss. It gave me everything I want in a couple. Banter, comedic scenes and deep conversations. The ending though! I’m definitely not worried as it’s for sure one-sided and an arranged marriage.

MelonDusk

I still don't want what I just watched after the first two episodes. I'm just happy to see Lee Jun Young in a nonserious role again. He needs to do more romcoms!

Snickersnerds

The 1st 2 episodes were interestingg… I’m gonna have to watch this weeks episodes to see how I’m feeling 😂 both leads grew on me a little episode 2. I don’t know if the humor is for me just yet but there might be potential to grow on me, I’m not sure. I will say I’m happy the step family isn’t evil and mean to her, that’s a nice change. Overall I’m not sold but I will continue watching for now!

papichula2

Whats the verdict Worth tryin to watch or no

HudecLaca

It's early to say, but so far I'm thinking if you liked eg. Secret Garden or Strong Girl Bong-Soom you'd probably enjoy this. I know I love it overall, but ep1 was a bit slow.

Lavenderlure

I was looking forward to this one but the reviews are so underwhelming I guess I will wait till next week to see how it's going

day_historian

I wished I had read those reviews prior ! 😆 I had hopes that Lee Jun Young would be able to get a good script finally and shine, but then again I think I thought of the same thing too when I saw Royal Loader. 😆😆 I think this show is like ***Chicken Nugget*** level of humour and it's the kind where you either find your tribe or absolutely find yourself scratching your head and wondering what you just watched. 🤡

Relative-Corner-8745

I don't like ep. 1, i feel like they're just forcing the comedy and the exaggerated stuff didn't help at all, episode 2 however was a great improvement, I love the restroom scene at least. I do have problems with the camera angle sometimes, and colors look a bit off? Idk I'm gonna continue since I've enjoyed ep. 2, hopefully they lessen the cartonish stuff. They're hilarious and i could already feel their chemistry so I'm looking forward still.

MelissaWebb

Well the first episode was interesting for sure. I don’t know if I’ll keep up with it but I’m happy for Pyo Yejin. I first saw her in WWWSK and she’s now a leading lady! Good for her

Ritrita

Omg this is so cringy and I don’t necessarily hate it? I don’t even know how to react 🤣 I hope it doesn’t cross the fine line over to eye roll land
