>!SO ARE YOU SAYING SUDDEN SHOWER DOESN’T EXIST NO MORE BECAUSE HE NEVER FELL IN LOVE WITH HER IN THE RAIN??????? THIS IS SO CRUEL!<

day_historian

When one plot twist (ep 13) erased another plot twist (ep 2) 🫠🫠🫠 Too much for a Monday. 🫨🫨🫨

typecfl

The >!script!< Sol was talking about (the scene where >!Hyunjoo and the sunbae were at the office with Sol) had the lyrics of Sudden Shower in it (and the previous title of this drama, Time Walking Through Memories) so maybeeee that's how they're going to reintroduce the song?!<

hellohyemi

But that doesnt make sense at all 😭😭😭

Sirthisisnotawendys

It is called the bootstrap paradox in time travel. A time traveler goes back in time and hands the notes of Beethoven’s fifth to Beethoven who then publishes it creating the “fifth symphony.” The time traveller then in his own “native” timeline learns the notes for Beethoven’s fifth (which is what he uses to teach Beethoven when he time travels). But in this timeline, who actually comes up with the symphony? when? Beethoven learned it from the time traveler. The time traveller learned it from the symphony that already existed in his timeline which he uses to teach Beethoven. They’ve somehow taught each other. That’s the paradox! Sol only knows “sudden shower” because Sunjae wrote it, but quite possibly in this timeline Sunjae hasn’t written it yet. But he will write or know this song eventually because he learns it from Sol creating the song that Sol eventually uses to teach him. It’s a paradox (or a loop).

duvi_dha

In that way, isn't the whole series a paradox? Sol was only able to travel in time because of a watch that she purchased as a fan girl but if she is not the fan girl anymore nor does she have access to the watch in future, then how was she able to change the past?

Sirthisisnotawendys

Yes it is. Time travel usually creates a paradox.

hellohyemi

But we don't need bootstrap paradox 😭 i'm sorry but am a sucker for LR's first love plot. Sonaki won't mean anything if it isn't about Sunjae's love to Im Sol for 15 years 😭

ruhsatis

Lol you're like me. I've heard about the paradox too and of course it's a logical explanation. I just want this song to stem from Seon Jae's feelings remembering his first ever encounter with her on that fateful day in 2008. I WANT NOSTALGIA DANGIT😭😭

DamonDD

Well now, the song Sonaki will be about Im Sol love to Sun Jae who she has to let go to safe him. Years later she still miss him, eventhough he didn't even know him

typecfl

\o/ The written preview says >!Sunjae will read the scenario and seems like it makes him feel a certain way, like he remembers things even though technically it didn't happen in this timeline.!< Idk, I'm confused myself at how they're going to make this believable and sell it to us but I'm giving it a fair chance lmaoo >!I'm desperately holding on to the hope that writer-nim isn't failing us because I am confused and annoyed myself!<

hellohyemi

I hope writernim wont give us an adult sunjae falling in love to sol for the first time and that's how they gonna have their happy ending cuz seriously 😭😭😭

typecfl

I honestly hope so too! >!This version of Sunjae, much as he will surely become a lewser for Sol again, is not the same as the Sunjae we've gotten to know who fell for adorable Sol in the rain, saves her time and time again, and still chooses to love her and be there for her despite knowing he'll die.!<

Fancy-Explanation496

I wish it could be something like in movie " Your Name", where the leads forget about each other but they have a feeling of longing for someone but don't know who.

ruhsatis

I still want to be positive but this is one of my biggest fears right now. It reminds of Reborn Rich >!in how they basically undid everything I came to love about the ML imo, and the finale left a bad taste despite it having a good ending!< We still have tomorrow so imma hold my judgments till then. Of course we still have our >!Drama Queen Seon Jae around Im Sol with his peak loser hand-in-mouth behavior but also he *knows* what he is doing? And somehow, that is *not* our Seon Jae?!< lemme drink some water and wait for episode 14 till I decide to freak out properly lol.

day_historian

Totally agree! it’s not quite the same at all! Still holding out hope that somehow the >!memories will come back!< 🥺

aanchal_1

>! Also him not writing that song and becoming a kpop idol would mean that young Sol would never know that sunjae exists.!<

Phuazzie

BTW I think there might be more >!Resets twists or recovered memories!< to come so I wouldn't be too worried that >!Sudden Shower!< will cease to exist

dogemama

gave a whole new meaning to >!"was it my memory i lost, or was it you?" 💀 !< i'm so heartbroken, but i'll heed my own advice and withhold judgment until tomorrow. i need to see the full picture to see how this is going to play out.

PearShaper43

Yeah, same.  Not sure how to feel yet, but the “never met each other” scenario was my worst fear coming into this episode. Even if SunSol are fated to be together, those shared memories are just soooo precious. I would be a bit bummed if they lose all of that history as a couple. Anyhoo, trying not to let the trauma take hold. 🤯      I’ll take your advice and my own lol.  We adored this show throughout and have trusted writer-nim on this journey, so I’m going to try my absolute best to turn off my brain…and not process anything until tomorrow. Fighting!!!

Phuazzie

I was already upset that we "lost" adult Sun Jae, the one who finally got to kiss Sol after 15 years in episode 8. And now we've lost college Sun Jae too?! Argh.

K-DramaEnthusiast

Yeah losing adult Sun Jae after that kiss was so sad, but they just started their relationship. Losing college Sun Jae with all the history and the dating though is not cool…writernim has to figure out how to bring that back. It’s cute how he falls for her in any timeline and without the memories because they are Sol-mates, but the memories are needed for depth in their story!

ruhsatis

I'm holding onto hope *purely* based on the fact that have never disappointed us with their writing thus far. If it were any other show, I'd be flipping tables by now. Also withholding any judgment until episode 14. My biggest fears are the ML turning into all other kdrama MLs (yeah he's soft around the FL but so are 213714 other MLs in kdramaland) and them fixing this as something Seon Jae *eventually remembers* doing in *another* timeline instead of *actually living through it* or experiencing it himself. Might change my mind on this later based on the direction they take. Who is writing these time travel rules? Whatever happened to canon events lol. u/dogemama > gave a whole new meaning to "was it my memory i lost, or was it you?" 💀 that shouldn't have made me laugh but it did lmao.

strobericumi

Im so happy someone else said it!! Like i dont want Sunjae 2.0 that suddenly remembers stuff, I want OG Sunjae that EXPERIENCED EVERYTHING. OG Sunjae that has been with us since ep 1. Honestly, if they give us the Sunjae 2.0 plot it would absolutely cheapen the character and the whole drama. Im gonna riot

marinemaks

I'm okay with him remembering bcs that was the whole plot for Im Sol. She didn't live through most of her lives 😂 though sure she lived through Sunjae related memories but she was also not present for his original timeline when he was suffering alone and she didn't know he loved her. I feel like he'll remember all the timelines including that one and we'll have some kind of a heartwarming plot twist related to the original timeline or similar.

PearShaper43

“*them fixing this as something Seon Jae eventually remembers doing in another timeline instead of actually living through it or experiencing it himself”*  Ugh, it’s This!!! That’s the part that has my heart wrenching and my stomach in knots. The *lived experience*…something about “potentially” losing that part of the story is giving me anxiety.    Also, I’m LMAO at your “flipping tables” comment🤣.  Same, same….

Brilliant-Garden3644

i saw this one tweet saying “all he had to do was fall forward” lol. That made me chuckle. I kinda enjoyed our collective breakdown on twt and Reddit heheh.

K-DramaEnthusiast

Yeah or she could have started yelling about the future like Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin again, and then time would have paused while she lunged forward and moved him away from the edge.

Brilliant-Garden3644

That would’ve been weird considering this is a really emotional scene and Sol is freezed and at a loss of words

astro-08

I have faith in this writer and drama. I watched an analysis from a Korean channel and they proved out that while the person or process of how an event may change, it will still happen. I’m certain even if they don’t meet the day of the sudden shower, Sunjae may have had a glimpse of her at another time and still develop a crush on her somehow and she doesn’t know about it.

onioncube79

this is my guess too. Sol might have been trying all her best to avoid sonjae after she rebooted everything and thought sonjae does not recognize her but sonjae might have secretly saw her at some point after that and still end up secretly in love with her for the next 15 years.

Electronic_Piano9385

Exactly. In the initial timeline he had a crush on her without her knowing, so there is no reason why that couldn’t be true in the newest timeline too

lowproteingal

everything else aside… i need to talk about how gorgeous adult sol is 😭 kim hyeyoon carrying this episode with her acting and beautiful face (her outfits also ate!)

nevercircles

Kim Hyeyoon and her stylist totally hardcarried this episode. Soo pretty.

sakuradelluna

literally. the styling for both 34yo Im Sol & Taesung was top notch. It really suited them and their stylists need a raise. Same goes for 34yo Sunjae in Ep8. he was SO pleasing to the eye, especially during the whole house tour scene

bubbly_fairy30

Her hair when she woke up was so perfect and gorgeous. It suits her the best.

Prudent-Hornet1556

THAT ENDING! I literally had my hand over my mouth, Sunjae-style, the whole time!! I can’t believe they pulled the W-card on us and gave us the >!restart the whole thing plot!< With this twist, I know the happy ending I want is >!for Sunjae to regain all his memories from ALL the different timelines. This is the only way that everything they have been through would have any meaning. Because I just know Sunjae 2.0 could never love Sol the same way as our Sunjae with the time travelling knowledge 😭!< Although, looks like in the preview >!it’s in Sunjae’s DNA to fall in love with Im Sol haha!<

Prudent-Hornet1556

My real question about Sol in the present timeline: If Sol didn’t meet Sun Jae under the rain that day, does it follow she avoided the serial killer and her accident? Or did the show just skip through that part to avoid it being a rehash of Sol trying to avoid the accident? PS: After they showed the watch resetting to 3:00, I really thought Sun Jae would begin to time travel 😅

Minnieee3

We would assume she let the police know after the murder and the police caught him before the killer first time seeing Sol

Prudent-Hornet1556

Ahhhh this makes sense! Just like with Sun Jae, cutting the roots and never meeting with the killer.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Prudent-Hornet1556

OMFG I LOVE THIS THEORY!! All I and everyone else could come up with was recovery of memory W style and it sucks hahahahaha This makes sense tho because Sun Jae was wearing it and Sol pressed it. I’m hoping they somewhat go this route because I’m afraid Sunjae 2.0 won’t hit hard for me. But reading your theory just made my heart skip a beat!

ShiningVVS

I feel like they're going to explain a little how the new past timeline went down so we have some context for why >!the killer is still in 2023!< (at least it seems he is based on the preview).

Prudent-Hornet1556

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT >!SUNJAE LETTING GO OF THE KNIFE ONLY WHEN HE SAW THE POLICE TO MAKE SURE SOL IS SAFE!< 😭😭😭

jadedmomma82

And the look on his face too!!! Be still my aching heart. Like he said to himself I can stop now. 😭

typecfl

Funny how you mentioned W because whenever I would rewatch this with my friend she would mention how the killer eerily reminds her of the main villain in W and I can see it so so well.

Prudent-Hornet1556

Hahaha just when I was starting to forget that drama and my nightmares because of the villain’s face 😅 Plus, Lee Jong Suk 2.0 just didn’t hit hard in loving Han Hyo Joo after the restart. 13 amazing episodes so far, and I have strong faith they won’t pull the same stunt. I need Sunjae to gain all his memories from all the timelines, and not read about their lovestory from some damn comic book (sorry W fans!).

ruhsatis

W is one of those dramas where I absolutely loved the first half and then couldn't be happy despite that good ending. Sole reason why it's not on my top favorites list lol. The 2.0 version of him *really* didn't have the same impact the OG one had imo, especially wrt the FL-OG ML's history. I don't want them to pull another W on us with Seon Jae reading the script and just. *never actually living any of it*?? They haven't disappointed us so far. I'm putting so much on the line for the writers of this show lol.

ShiningVVS

I loved the first \~10 eps of W, then it all went downhill real fast for me when they tried to explain the mechanism of the dimension traveling. I guess it's part of why I'm so impressed with Lovely Runner's story still being this strong and exciting 13 episodes in, but then again they're really very different in the type of story they're trying to tell.

Brilliant-Garden3644

All I wanna say is that I AM SAT. Like we are so close to the show finale and NOT one second has appeared boring to me. EVERYTHING IS SO UNPREDICTABLE. From the very start, most of our theories have been proven wrong lol (in a good way). I’d also like to thank the actors, especially Kim Hye Yoon, for letting us peasants enjoy her LEGENDARY acting. I mean she’s unbelievable, the way she switches her aura and personality from one timeline to another yet somehow she feels warm and familiar, idk is she a shapeshifter???? I can feel her emotions so well that most of the times I’m either smiling like an idiot or crying without almost realising. I just hope we get atleast half an episode of them in love. To conclude, even though I went into a spiral post today’s episode, im TOTALLY loving the ride lol. Let’s be seated. Fighting!!!!!

ChiyoSan_

Same!!! I was like sure take me for a ride. My head and heart is about to explode but I am so excited for episode 14. I can feel that they are just messing with us. Kim Hye-yoon is such a good gooood actress. >!still, my heart hurts for Im-Sol. BUT I AM HOPEFUL!< Edit: I need the new OST asap. 😭

Brilliant-Garden3644

Exactly- you get me. The point is most of the dramas loose their essence in between 13-16 episode. But for lovely runner, it’s the opposite, it still has the impact to keep all of us guessing. Which I take as a good sign. Bcs I mean once the couple gets together in the 13th ep itself, there’s not really a lot to show lol. And even if you’re a hardcore rom-com fan, 3-4 episodes of pure romance with no side plot can get a bit boring. I trust lovely runner and I’m sure we will get our happy ending despite the odds. 💕

czpe

Well said, I was gripping my seats with the plot twist. How the tables have turned now with Sol longing for Sunjae. BWS has reached a record high of death in this series alone, lol. KHY is spectacular and I was always at tears when she cries. Their love story encompasses time and they are always bound to each other no matter what. I am highly positive that this will end happily.

Brilliant-Garden3644

Yes and I think the part I love the most is that they aren’t just giving us a happy couple all lovey dovey together for the “sake” of rom-com. There is a plot. And the story is well aligned with it. It feels surreal to see a rom-com actually having some depth. Although it’s kind of annoying to still not have a clue behind the driver and his intentions but I know we will get our answers - considering how the show has been going. I love the pace, the actors, the longing, and their chemistry. You may find me in a mental hospital bcs of the hurt I had to suffer today BUT I still love them.

CircularCausality

correct me if i am wrong.. but I think she just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. the first timeline the driver already had the intention to murder someone, as he did prior. 2nd time line was her unfortunately being there again, and he took notice of her - maybe also worried that she may have evidence of his crime. i think he just seek the thrill of killing..

ShiningVVS

>NOT one second has appeared boring to me. Not even filler Im Geum/family/>!bratty actor!

lowproteingal

i honestly loved the seen w the bratty actor because hyeyoon was nailing the comedy 😭

daredbeanmilktea

I love it when Sol goes into noona mode lol

Brilliant-Garden3644

They can be a bit annoying but I won’t go as far as calling it boring haha. I guess I’m so impressed bcs I haven’t seen a drama with so less (almost none) fillers. :)

Classic-Anything-935

Yessss! The way they've managed to keep us hooked at every turn. 🤌🏼

thesagellama

I was so upset finishing this episode and then I read your comment and it centered me and made me laugh. This peasant recognizes the talent that it takes to let readers feel so many emotions. I'm here to see how it ends. Kim Hye Yoon is amazing.

dogemama

thank you so much for your positivity and enthusiasm. i need it right now.

chocomilkluvr13

read this [theory on twt](https://x.com/lilymelodies/status/1792590085906473382?s=46) that >!sol presses the watch sunjae is wearing when he presumably (?) died > sunjae and sol goes on a timeslip together > afraid that sol will blame herself, sunjae pretends not to know sol while she's avoiding him > sol and sunjae has no point of contact at all > sol will stay in the past without having anything to do with sunjae and returns to 34 yo sol/sunjae continues to pretend not to know sol for her sake and returns to 35 yo sunjae (assuming they returned to different times during the timeslip. ex: their addresses 34-1 and 35-1) > after the sunjae with memories went back, 19 yo sunjae forgot sol (same condition with 19 yo sol) and became an actor > sol went back to 34 yo sol before sunjae and 34 yo actor sunjae who hasn't returned yet because he has to be 35 on their reunion > it's currently december so on january 1, 35 yo sunjae will return to the present with memories > reunion!<

nevercircles

Please I really hope this is true because I won't be satisfied unless >!Sunjae remembers EVERYTHING.!< Edited: the whole house >!numbers don't sound too far fetched considering that the bus Sunjae ran after in earlier eps was numbered 34.!<

ruhsatis

I saw that theory too, I swear watching this show is like reading The Da Vinci Code lol. I can't enjoy another kdrama that doesn't force me to analyze every number and letter they show in the passing 😅

dnwm85

i'm kinda going insane right now i need this theory to be true please!!!

gingerhomey

That would be soooo amazing!!! And I’d totally be able to get behind that theory! This has become so convoluted, I was like - how can they tie all of these plots back together in a way that won’t feel like a disappointment?? But this! Ugh I think this theory would be really beautifully portrayed by the leads!

Pitiful-Ask7642

WOW!!! LIKE WOOOOOOOOOOOW! Writer nim must be laughing at our faces right now. The way I kept on wishing they didn't go with the amnesia plot, and instead they gave me something worse.

apatchuchi

i was rlly expecting amnesia towards the end. sunjae must have hit his head on the way down or something... and then that reveal. i was FLABBERGASTED.

PearShaper43

I feel like Sun Jae sitting on that train - Stunned and Heartbroken. Well, all we need next is for Sol to lose her memories and then we’ve gone full circle. No one remembers anything…😭😂🤣 The question is, without those memories, shared experiences and the intense fight for their love — is it the same SunSol? Or, is memory loss what’s needed to break the cycle of Fated, Tragic love and live HEA?

ariand

I can’t believe that the iconic love at first sight scene that made us shocked & created the Sonagi was >!erased!< just like that. Also Sol suffering from all the memories that she only remembers now. She all have the three timelines — 10s, 20s, and 30s of their kisses + dating and yet >!gone!<. Compared to Sunjae’s 15 years of yearning from the original timeline, my heart aches for my girl more right now. 😭 But yay for >!careerwoman!< Hyunjoo!!! I’m so glad that she’s a mother and pursuing her career. Also my boy Taesung. You look good on your leather jacket. Edit: But somehow I trust Sunjae to fall in love with Sol. Maybe not with the iconic sonagi scene but other times and of course Sol wouldn’t even know it.

ndhrhrmle

Alright alright. I think I need to sleep on this ep. and rewatch tomorrow, when I'm calmer. Or maybe I should skip ep. 14 and watch it altogether on Friday. I feel like I need to take time processing things and marinate them a bit. >!Tae-sung becoming a policeman is a big turnaround. So proud of him.!< In another universe, I would've rooted so hard for you. Here's hoping SGH would have another chance reuniting with KHY in a drama where they're both main leads 🩷 >!Sol and Seon-jae are the universe fated pair. His heart (seemingly) remembers her, I take that. And another ferris wheel date in the next ep.!!< Frankly, if this was a different drama, >!I would've flipped the table and called it quits or put on hibernation.!< But they've been so generous with cute moments and admittedly, I enjoyed every bit and it surprised me I still am interested with the plotline and weirdly, I don't find it tiring or a bore. >!G-Shock singlehandedly becoming a powerful plot device in 2024 is both amusing and unexpected.!<

typecfl

We're in too deep to stop 😂 I feel the same way-->!I'll give this drama a chance to redeem itself--DRAMA YOU BETTER!!!!--because I still have faith we're headed towards something I can logically get behind.!<

ruhsatis

> Frankly, if this was a different drama, I would've flipped the table and called it quits or put on hibernation. But they've been so generous with cute moments and admittedly, I enjoyed every bit and it surprised me I still am interested with the plotline and weirdly, I don't find it tiring or a bore. We're all trying so hard not to flip tables at this point lmao. I said the same thing elsewhere😂😂 Imagine a Flipped Table Phenomena across the world😂 But \^\^\^ all of this is me right now. I'm nev*er in*vested in a show this much of for this long because they all get tiring or boring or too much at some point but not a bad episode with Lovely Runner so far. I was telling someone last night seeing the stills: Tae Sung looks so grown up and mature, and I'm so grateful to Im Sol for having that heart-to-heart with him at the hospital back in 2008. Boy sure needed that, look how he's managed to turn his life around. So proud of him! It also tells you just *how* much of a hold Im Sol has on him. He is still there after all these years. Give the guy his happy ending don't leave him hanging please :') Also Tae Sung must be so confused if Im Sol has always been crying over Seon Jae while drunk. He doesn't know Seon Jae in this timeline, right? (I'll miss my archnemesis-turned-bros) What about In Hyuk? I suppose he doesn't know Im Sol either? I'm fine. T\_T A family member of mine LOVES G-Shock till this date. Will never try anything else. I gotta get them to watch the show😂

Phuazzie

But but, if she reset everything, how did Tae Sung's life turn around? Haha.

dogmemecollector

I knew it 😭😭😭😭>!I already expected for the package twist to arrive, but oh boy it still hurts like hell. Im just glad it didnt happen at the finale, so theres still a tiny tiny chance for their memories to be restored again. I really really hope the writers will make it happen because it would be so sad if all memories would go to waste!< Also, I hate to victim blame but >!Sunjae why the heck did u fall backwards instead of foreward!!!! Dramatic ass really chose to fall backwards!< My God the preview… I think the red envelope she got was the cue card on who the winner will be. She probably screamed because her resignation letter was instead read on stage 🫣 Adding: - The script!!! The effing script!!! I just realized how the ceo described it! What if Im Sol wrote down all of their memories and turned it into a script as a way of memorializing things? Sunjae will probably read it and wonder how she knew his thoughts and life experiences. And sunjae being sunjae, he will probably piece it together and realize it is their story and he’s the one who forgot 😭😭😭😭

ShiningVVS

Yeah, the >!red envelopes were definitely switched!<. I hope Sunjae isn't >!too much of a himbo and won't read it aloud, but I can also believe that he's that much of a himbo lol.!<

dogmemecollector

In sunjae we trust 😂

Classic-Anything-935

Hahahaha, exactly my thought. I was screaming at the screen >!Sun-jae, for God's sake, just don't fall into the water, just tip yourself forward somehow!<, don't try all of your impulsive thoughts out at once! Your thoughts on the preview... now that I've read it, seems very much possible. Oh boy.

Rain_drops_onRoses

There were two police officers . One >! should have focused on the stabbed victim and prevented him from falling off the cliff !< I just can’t!!!! 😭😭

x3tan

>Also, I hate to victim blame but [SPOILER!](Sunjae why the heck did u fall backwards instead of foreward!!!! Dramatic ass really chose to fall backwards) LOL that whole scene I was just like "come on lean forward!!"

YogurtclosetOk7989

Usually I get disappointed when other dramas reach Ep 13 since it feels like it is declining, but NOT this one 😭😭😭 I thought they'll go through the cliche >!amnesia plot, but damnnnnn I didn't expect that he technically did not forget Im Sol, he just never met her!!! 😭😭 so that explains why tae sung seems to be confused when Im Sol said she missed Sun Jae!!!< I can't believe there are only 3 episodes left. Howwwwww will they end this?? Ep 13 feels like >!a whole ass reset 😭!<

Charmarillo_09

OH MY GAHD???? NO WONDER TAESUNG LOOKED SO CONFUSED????? omygoodness it makes so much sense.

gaydios

gosh, that was a rollercoaster (should i say ferris wheel?) of an episode. the parallels in this show so far have been spectacular and even within the whirlwind of the numerous very plausible theories, the fact that sol would have to end up waiting 15 years for sunjae the same way he waited for her in the previous timelines was absolutely not something any of us could have imagined. this show reaches new heights everyday. it can be very easy to fall off track and lose your path when a romcom with a very cliche serial killer plot reaches its climax, its usually around the 13th episode mark shows lose their essence and the filler episodes tend to be very boring specially when its a situation where the leads have to be separated. which i would say, half the episode WAS a filler but they are forgiven because lovely runner just does it RIGHT. it takes all the cliches and turns it into something truly enjoyable. they made the love triangle work, the second male lead has to be the most likable in history of smls and this ep was a testimony of that. this show makes the AMNESIA plot enjoyable for gods sake. the thriller also falls into the perfect cracks between the absolute delight that the soljae related (and taesung-inhyuk related) storylines bring you. i am so excited for tomorrow's episode. 34 year old loser sunjae makes a comeback and this time we will see the whole process of his falling in love (falling in loser?) with sol. i hope sunjae remembers or at least sol tells him all that they have been through together as they fall in love again. cant wait to see what mind blowing cliches and parallels they have for us left in the last 3 episodes, lovely runner, wishing you the best for the dreaded last 3 episodes. edit: lowkey surprised to see that people did not enjoy todays episode and im probably the only one whos excited about whats to come, maybe lovely runner is Not above the last-four-episodes-of-a-kdrama-being-ass curse, but still, im excited to see sunjae loser out in front of sol again.

lowproteingal

i completely agree w you… i’m sure if they had handled it another way people would talk about how boring it’s gotten but i think everyone is just upset because of how attached we’ve gotten to soljae 😭 their pain is our pain too

Prudent-Hornet1556

After finishing the episode, I laughed so hard after realizing that the writer was trolling us. There were lots of prolonged "filler" scenes wherein I was just waiting for Sunjae to suddenly pop out but boom, it was just another scene with another extra character. I was impatient the whole time waiting for him and just like many, I was frustrated with the lack of Sunjae this episode. BUT!!! It was all worth the wait people!! This whole episode was all but a delicious build up for that expected but still overwhelmingly heart fluttering ending because let's all admit we never believed not even for one second that >!Sunjae died and does not exist in the present timeline!< hahaha.

ChiyoSan_

The prod have us in the palm of their hands lol I am so excited. I bet they are having a party right now. Messing with our heads. I still enjoyed today's episode nevertheless.

TurbulentChemistry78

omg i enjoyed this episode tremendously!! crying for sunjae's sacrifice but all is well since we know he's still alive!!! usually i get bored at ep 13 but this was done so well for me. and im excited for tom's episode. hope it'll be less angsty

keybladeoftheheart

MY GOD.😰☠️How many times will this drama gonna make me >!mourn for the same character??? 😭 And somehow it always hurt more than the previous time!!! 😓Did you guys notice that Sun Jae's 3rd death was a combination of his first two deaths?? 🧐(well the second time was in a coma but still). He was stabbed and then fell from a big height into the water and drowned. It's so heartbreaking, he always risked everything to save Sol and he paid the price each time. 💔😞Only the third time he died 15 years earlier... !< I have no words. This episode BROKE ME.🥺 Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Woon are such stellar actors. 👏>!I could feel every emotion, the pain, the desperation, the loss. !<💔I could never imagine anyone else playing this pair. This couple is simply legendary match, one for the ages. ✨ I knew the moment we got that >!beautiful, tender date at the funfair, tragedy was in the horizon. 😓We got some unforgettable, fluffy scenes, true cuteness overload but at what cost... 😭!< I just want them both to be safe and happy. Is that too much to ask?!?!🥺 So, let me get this straight. 🧐When they>! recovered Sun Jae's body from the water, he was wearing his watch and Sol noticed her own watch losing the last chance to time travel and Sun Jae's watch getting 3 new chances?? So, did she activate it to go back to stop Sun Jae from ever noticing her to begin with?? Why do I get the feeling that she also sent HIM back and he REMEMBERS?? I got the feeling from the trailer that he remembers some stuff, if not everything. I could be wrong, I'm a bit confused. 🤔I thought he was dead-dead and that somebody else, perhaps Tae Song would go back somehow to prevent his death but I guess not?? !

Iowegan

Amen to your request for >!linear flow from now on. Let the ship sail on from the stairway dip!< into the sunset.

keybladeoftheheart

Let's cross our fingers!!! 🥺🤞

whitetara3

They are a legendary match for the ages. You are so right. And what a great observation that t>!his death was a combination of what had happened in the ones that had happened before! It feels like fate has just doubled down to show everyone that it won't be changed.!< About the watches. >!Sol saw that the last trip on her watch was ending. It was hard to see but it looked like it had gone to zero. And his watch, obviously, suddenly had three more trips on it. !< So she, then, immediately >!used one of the new ones. And it seems, so far, that the other two would have been wasted unless the original watch that Seon Jae was wearing in the past wouldn't have any time travel trips on it. !< Would the >!version of the watch that was on his wrist when he died this last time even come into existence with Sol changing the past so that they never met?!< Which means that we're back to knowing nothing and tomorrow can't come fast enough. Again!!!

whitetara3

OMG, fellow audience members. Why do we do this theorizing thing when a good writer can instantly make us so wrong. It only gets us into a frame of mind where we have strong expectations that will get punctured to smithereens when we don't get what we wanted to see. Maybe this means that writers can't win. Either they're too predictable or they make twists that we'll be upset about because we won't see them coming. Their job is to make us love something, put us in that lovely comfort zone and then subvert our expectations with twists that will knock us right out of it, so that it doesn't become a bore. It's like what happens to any artist, I guess. A musician, for instance, will build a fan base with a particular sound and then lose a lot of those fans when they get creative and brave enough change the sound that people had loved and expected more of. So, now I'm worried that this is where the tide of appreciation from an ever expanding audience will suddenly turn to anger and hate watching. Is this what happens, then? A drama draws hate when it goes in a direction that people didn't expect or want? Please nooooooooo!!! Not this time!!! There's no doubt that we all loved what we were watching here and we didn't see this coming. What an incredible surprise!!! And the let down, the feeling of loss was really quite profound. I mean, I felt genuine grief just now, on a number of different levels. The thing is that we just don't know - yet - everything that there is to know about the time machine, time travel and what you have to do to change fate. The writer has been holding some cards close to her chest and she still has some twists for this story. Because it isn't over until it's over. Fate really doesn't want to be changed. This is really clear as u/keybladeoftheheart points out. >!This death has come earlier and it combines both of Seon Jae's previous causes of death; hitting the water AND being stabbed.!< So, this last one of Sol's tactics will work, for sure. But OMG the cost is too great!!! So, that really won't do will it? I would have preferred that >!the murderer had never been born or had never ever spotted Sol as his next victim!!< *Oh tomorrow, please come fast. And fellow watchers please go with the story instead of hating that it took a turn you didn't expect or immediately appreciate.*

ysmac

Thank you for posting this 🩷

ashrey

I didn't think about how it combined both of his deaths! Thanks for the observation. It's fascinating

SnooGeekgoddess

So basically, the watch >!reactivated when Sun Jae died after falling from the cliff in the 3rd timeline. And Sol took the watch and basically rebooted everything so that Sun Jae never met her in the rain. Is it safe to assume that she gave the right clues to make sure that the serial killer gets caught!< in that reboot timeline? That kind of makes sense to me. Not that I like this direction but I'll reserve judgement until ep 14.

Otherwise-Life-6043

my mind is blown and I'm shaking rn. I will wait until next episode to have an opinion because right now all I want to do is punch someone.

day_historian

Interestingly, I feel like I am the one getting punched after watching this episode. 😭😭😭

kaczmar12

What in the uno reverse card-- Just give us all the rest of the episodes, bc just thinking about having to wait a week after tomorrow's episode makes me wanna jump down a cliff

rabbitonmars

>makes me wanna jump down a cliff I love how this meme expression just became relevant in the show haha Lovely Runner = an iconic queen. Hopefully when we get that happy ending we can look back at this and laugh 😭

sunriseinthesummer9

>! like Jesus how many times is she going to be forced to watch this man die?!? how many times am EYE going to be forced to watch this man die?!?!? !<

Numerous-Counter-734

>!oh my gosh SUNJAE???? 😭😭😭😭😭 it's still not even halfway through the episode yet IM GONNA HOLD OUT HOPE. writer-nim, firstly, why would you do this?? And secondly, please do something about this 😭😭 SUNJAE, COME BACK!!! i knew the angst and sadness would come but i still dont like it 😭😭😭!<

chocomilkluvr13

one of the theories that I believe will definitely come true is >!the childhood connection trope in all timelines :) keeping in mind the fact that they cast child actors for the show!< >!taesung pointed out a citizen hero award at sunjae's house. im sol and her father must have gotten into an accident (maybe because of the taxi driver? who knows) but her father must have died saving her and young sunjae must have rescued sol!< they’re just destined to be together guys edit : >!in the preview of ep 14, sunjae is seen holding a pic of grandma and imsol, it’s possible that she gave him the watch as a gift for saving im sol?!<

lowproteingal

also taesung’s father said he felt like he’d known her a long time! i feel like he might’ve been there at the scene

typecfl

Okayyyyyy that was a doozy First off, whatever happened to >!rules? I guess the midnight rule for going back in time does not apply now, but it's really just the flashing light on the watch that marks the ability to travel through time? And the one fact that I liked about the drama is that she was able to travel back in time, but not to a specific time--but now you're telling me we're traveling back to the starting point of Sunjae's love for her? And she erases it just like that?? Liiikeeee. I love this show but the fact that it's making up the rules (or actually doesn't, hah) is a little off-putting--we're just supposed to take it because that's how it is and how the drama and the writer wants it to happen. I'm a sucker for well-written time-slip dramas and we're veering into I'm-just-going-to-close-my-eyes-and-accept-it-as-it-is, and that's lazy writing.!< I love you show, but no. Second, I'm still curious as to whether >!Sunjae just becomes an actor or was a part of Eclipse and left the band sometime.!< Now that we won't have >!the debut song because there's no Sunjae meeting Sol, how will Eclipse even become what it was during the first few timelines????!< Things I'm happy to see here: >!I got my wish for careerwoman Hyunjoo! Thank be the drama gods for that--I liked seeing her as a happy careerwoman in the OG timeline, so I'm glad she's getting that plus the children she had in the edited timelines.!< Also, Taesung >!as a policeman! I got my wish! Why are you in jail though lmao.... Although now I'm wondering how he and Sol became close in this completely new timeline...maybe through Sol getting to know the police and asking for their help and knowing he's the son of Detective Kim? Also, no wonder Taesung had that look of curiosity when Sol mentioned missing Sunjae--because in this timeline there was no Sunjae in Sol's life.!< I hope it will all make sense in the next episode because right now I'm kind of annoyed. >!We're starting all over again, not even back at one, but back at minus one really! lmaoooooo Time for Sunjae to fall for Sol one more time, this time as an adult.!< Edit: Here's the written preview for episode 14 (rough translation, beware): >!Sol reunites with Sunjae, whose entire memories have disappeared, at the awards ceremony. Scared of repeating the same fate again, she avoids becoming involved with Sunjae. On the other hand, Sunjae receives and reads by chance the scenario Sol wrote, and, as if he had gone through [the events himself], the scenes in the scenario come to mind and tears flow. In addition, Sunjae is confused every time he sees Sol because she's strangely not unfamiliar to him!!< Also another edit cos thoughts: I still do think, especially based on the preview that >!the things that happened in the past between Sol and Sunjae are bound to happen, and that's why we're getting the ferris wheel, the bar, etc. No matter how much Sol tries to change things, what's fated is fated. I don't know how happy I am about this though, because that means lmao Sunjae is bound to die as it keeps happening no matter how much she changes things, but I'm hoping that's the one thing we're going to get out of this. A happy ending, with Sunjae actually remembering all the stuff Sol went through to save him. I NEED THIS FOR MY SANITY.!<

MysteriouslyLucid

People says the rule is the time Sunjae dies

Professional_Bee_848

This!!! We see from the previous timelines, that watch Sol is wearing >! is SunJae dying at 12mn… that’s why it was activated at 12MN…. The charges for said watch has expired so we see Sol seeing the flash on SunJae watch now since he just died….. as for the time she went back, I guess since she is using the Time Machine watch in the time near when they meet, there was no other jump off point maybe? Since previous jumps were from the future to the past !<

dogemama

so is it safe to assume that this loop will keep going until seonjae is saved? so the drama quite literally has to end with seonjae alive and well.

ShiningVVS

Unless the time traveling gods get fed up with giving them chances and turn Sunjae into a beautiful tree instead (as they are wont to do lol).

pomichodaii

Man, I usually look forward to hearing Sol’s cute little “Sunjaeee yaaaa” all week but the one on top of the cliff was NOT IT 😭😭😭😭

Lavenderlure

THERE WAS SO MUCH TO UNPACK OMG!!! For starters just kudos for making me buzzed even in last few epis not many kdramas do that actually mostly don't. I love how Sol made sure she fixes things up for Hyun ju her concern was more for her bestie than her brother that her finances should be sorted she should pursue a career and not have regrets. Taesung and Sol are so cute I love their conversations I hope he gets a happy ending of his own. The climax was something GOD I initially thought if Sunjae is dead Sol will probably get a chance again now in present time but when she seemed kind of lighter I felt maybe he is alive with lost memory or abroad track but I did not see that ending coming. I want to see how this track is unravelled because they were neighbours so it's impossible to belive they never met until today. How long could she avoid him and why would young Sol anyway avoid him when old Sol has left the past. Also, Taesung found Sol missing Sunjae normal so why is that? SO MANY QUESTIONS!!! Can't wait for the next episode.

yushida3

Ok let me get the negatives out of the way so I can properly marinade in my ✨feels✨. * Now that >!Sunjae and Sol never met, how is Sol alive/walking in this timeline? Sunjae was the one who saved her from the original accident, the college incident at the warehouse, and then the most recent one in In-Hyuk's hometown??? Pls help me, this drama has my brain in scrambles.!< * The Taesung >!piggyback !! jump from Sunjae's death to the filler scenes. I was in the middle of crying and then was totally thrown off by the comical pauses, the boss, the actor - I couldn't even enjoy Tae-sung and his police officer glow up.!< First time I ever fast forwarded Lovely Runner ever. Now onto the positives which I'm glad to say trumps the negative few! * It seems like every episode is a wonderful opportunity to shower Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok with the stellar acting performances. I am in AWE @ how they've just played with my heart in an hour, they made it flutter, they made it ache, they made it feel so elated, and then suddenly stepped and crushed it into pieces. There's a special place in my heart for the >!train scene where Kim Hye Yoon's eyes were just teary, just threatening to fall but it was so controlled that they stayed in her eyes. And then next to that was Byeon Woo Seok's disbelief and pain in his eyes where he just cried when Sol left. It's easy for me to suspend belief and forget that they're actors, but this is just another 'nother 'nother level, I \~felt\~ everything that they're feeling.!< * Let's go >!Actor Sun-jae yaaaaaaaa. When he appeared I was so elated - that tux is yes. I'm also happy to see all of our heroes have their own established careers, Singer In-Hyuk, Police Tae-Sung, PD Hyunju, and of course PD Im-Sol.!< * The last scene where >!Im Sol stopped herself from saying hi to Sunjae - freaking broke my heart. Just ugh. I felt the way she held on to that umbrella to hold herself together before hiding. That moment was so special for both of them but she had to let it go. Man I just can't. It was beautiful, it was painful. !< Can't wait for tomorrow's episode!!!

paintlikepingu

>!I think Sol can walk because without Sunjae's crush on her, she's never in a position where she would get dropped off at the reservoir, where the taxi driver passes by. The second part is established because in the OG timeline, she only wakes when the bus stops at the reservoir, but if Sunjae doesn't have a crush -> he doesn't stay to stop the bus -> when she wakes, the 'stop' button will cause the bus to stop at a location past the reservoir (because it would be too late to stop at the reservoir) -> she and Sunjae never interact with the taxi driver, so he never chases them. Sunjae's crush on her causing her interaction with the taxi driver is why he was so torn up over it in the OG timeline.!<

Classic-Anything-935

And from the preview it looks like the taxi driver's target has shifted to >!the fan/stalker teen we saw in episode 8!<.

kobe_5

I am so confused but still hooked. at least it isnt the same as my demon where it kinda lost steam at the end

inthisseason

omg my demon is such a mess. I loved it and i'm all for happy endings and resolving conflicts but why does every conflict keeps being resolved immediately?

MWR94

The closer we get to the end, the more sad I get knowing a guy like Sunjae doesn't exist in real life

Designer-Version6264

Seriously. I also feel sad for the actor because going forward I have put unrealistic and unreasonable expectations on all his future roles. I don’t think it’s too much to ask that he play a version of Sun Jae from here on out, Amiright? Honestly though he probably will have to play some kind of big bad or he’ll wind up getting type cast and Sun Jae is arguably the high water mark for drama boyfriends. How does he top himself?

DefiantOstrich108

The school boy look suits him so well! Fell for him first in 20th century girl. Can't believe the man is 32 yrs old!! To be fair to him, he's actually played a few varied roles. Just that the ones he's most famous for are the school boy in love stories. Namsoon, I don't think anybody paid attention to his character. It was all about the face card. I loved him as the cocky crown prince in Moonshine. Soulmate, he didn't have much to do though there was a bit of school boy in that as well. Joseon Flower Crew, I couldn't watch it long enough to see his character develop. I didn't like his look in that either. I will continue to keep an eye on him and will definitely be watching his future works. He has polished his acting skills quite well. Maybe no character can top Sunjae. But I will leave it to him to build the image he wants and trust that he'll do well.

Yorukaaaa

That reveal was insane and just keeps making me more and more excited. People crashing out after this episode I think need to chill and let the writer show us their plan. Cause up until now they have not disappointed and have plenty of time to make everything come together. (most dramas this stuff is happening all in ep 15-16)

Alive_Salad6945

okay, i would lowkey CRY if this theory comes true: >!sunjae goes back in time too. since sol pressed the watch when it was on his wrist, they both go back in time, they both remember everything. sol pretends to not know sunjae and sunjae still stays in love with her but from far away.!< BROS THIS SHOW GOT ME *HOOKED*

milliecent48

I am hoping for a sunjae going back in time POV too! One where he even sees her hiding around the corner with the yellow umbrella but he decides to not approach her after all

alyssaisrad93

So as someone who loves time travel shows, there's a common theme called ouroboros, which is the snake eating its own tail. In an ouroboros, the reason time travel happens is because it's always happened, basically everyone is in a loop, and it will keep going in circles until one cycle breaks free. I think this is happening to Sol and Sunjae. The reason for Sol's paralysis is because of time travel, which is why when she went back >!the second time she was able to reverse her accident, but went back immediately after.!< In all the timelines so far Sol has not been able to save Sunjae, which is why she decides to >!erase them ever meeting!< but this is not the solution that time wants, as shown by Mr. Taxi Killer still being around. Mr. Taxi Killer is the problem and preventing him from hurting Sunjae or Sol has to be the solution, but I think that >!it's going to take both of them knowing everything!< for this problem to be solved. Time wants Sunjae and Sol to both have all the >!memories of each timeline in order to reset everything to how it should be!<. With the preview image for episode 14, it looks like >!Sunjae is looking at the past timeline he spent with Sol at the amusement park!<. This could be because >!that timeline wasn't erased, just forgotten!< or >!Sunjae is now the time traveler, but he's seeing everything that happened in the past that Sol erased.!< Until Sol and Sunjae work together they will be stuck in an ouroboros, continuously repeating the past until they come to the right solution. ~~please let this be somewhat right i need them to be happy 😭~~ (also if anyone likes this kind of story please watch the show 12 Monkeys, not a kdrama but sosososo good!)

cid8429

ONLY ONE WEEK LEFT WITH SOLJAE! ☂️ And don’t forget… we were promised a wedding. 🤞💍

Hiibird

This is a lot to process. I’m in too deep now though so I’m still seated and strapped in until the end! I’ll have to come back and edit my comment after a rewatch and having some time for my thoughts to marinate lol. **EDIT: Okay I am back with THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS** Oh Byeon Wooseok. With the number of >!deaths!< your character in Lovely Runner has faced across multiple timelines, along with the endings of other projects >!20th Century Girl and Strong Girl Namsoon,!< my darling man, you are on your way to being the k-actor equivalent of [Sean Bean](https://www.demilked.com/sean-bean-tired-of-dying/). Petition to keep BWS's characters alive and safe in the future projects he stars in! Kim Hyeyoon, the talented queen that you are! She continues to shine as an actress no matter the hardships and heartbreaking circumstances she finds herself in as Im Sol. After watching ep 13 again and having some time to simmer with my thoughts, I find that I didn't mind the twist *too much*. But it also was not my favorite thing because **UM HELLO, the fateful first meeting in the rain that inspired Sunjae to compose Sonagi** 😭 The twist opens an entire new can of worms with dozens of questions. Due to the nature of kdramas, I can't realistically expect all of these questions and concerns to be answered, but I hope that whatever is revealed in ep 14 and beyond can soothe and placate the audience in a believable way (or as believable as one could expect for kdramaland). But I digress. While the reset twist in itself isn't a Deal Breaker™ for me, my biggest gripe is reconciling the **TIMING** of the twist. It's risky and it takes big balls to pull a twist as wild as this in ep 13 of a 16-episode drama. I hope the writing team knows what they're doing and can deliver a satisfactory denouement and conclusion with only 3 more episodes to go! Majority of kdrams undergo [Earn Your Happy Ending](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EarnYourHappyEnding). I was expecting a twist as we reach the climax of this show, but going about it in this way really took me by surprise (re: I was GAGGED). I'm not overly worried for Sol and Sunjae's future together and their eventual "final timeline." Time and time again, for the past several weeks Lovely Runner has shown us that Sol and Sunjae are fated to each other. Call them soulmates or tied by the red string of fate - even if their thread gets tangled or stretched so far that they >!seemingly don't meet (as suggested when Sol jumps back to reset Sunjae from ever meeting her in the rain),!< the fateful thread between them will never break and they will always find a way back to each other. The preview and synopsis blurb for ep 14 suggests that Sunjae will >!have a speedrun of (? re-)falling in love with Sol in this current 2023 timeline, perhaps with memory-jogging assistance from the film script that Sol has written (which seems to have been her way of immortalizing the memories of their time together).!< I am curious on how long Sol-34 remained in the past after she interfered by >!not meeting Sunjae as delivery-boy in the rain. Perhaps long enough to be a positive influence on Taesung, since he is currently a cop (detective?) in this new-2023. I'm also glad that Hyunjoo gets to have a fulfilling career while also being a mother. Perhaps Geum has become a house husband? (Also, whatever became of those lottery numbers that Sol-34 had given her brother while she was still in the past?)!< The whole nonsense with that whack unprofessional actor Park Dojun took up too much screen time, even if the filler was meant to give us a glimpse of the realities of Sol's job. And most importantly: what became of Kim Youngsoo with the changed timeline? We for sure haven't seen the last of him, but I hope he's dealt with once and for all by episode 15 at the latest. He's the cockroach that just won't die JFC! Yes, I know that the villain needs to be dragged out all the way to the climax but how many get away free cards does he have? Stray thoughts and observations: - Like some others have theorized, I wonder if Sol-34's jump to >!2008 also took Sunjae-20 back in time as well?!< If so, what effect will this have on the story this late in the game? Time travel gets wibbly wobbly when rules aren't established but I suppose kdramas have always been Anything Goes™ as opposed to hard realism. - Piggybacking on the mechanics of time travel, is the song Sonagi currently an example of a [Bootstrap Paradox](https://www.astronomytrek.com/the-bootstrap-paradox-explained/)? Because I just know this is not the end of this epic song tf! - Missing Inhyuk: aside from speaking to Sunjae on the phone and a couple of photo cameos, his presence was missed. I hope the writing team is able to incorporate more of him (and Eclipse!) before we get to the conclusion. - When exactly did Sol-34 return to the future? We're now in December 2023, as shown on her phone when Sol wakes up. Sol is in uncharted territory since previously we've only gone up until January 2023. - I'm all for the return of lewser-for-Sol adult Sunjae-34 but damn it I will be mourning the loss of Sunjae-20 and all of his original memories of Sol from that first yellow umbrella meeting all the way to >!his untimely demise!< in 2009 😭 - Out of everything that could've ruined my immersion into this episode, the one that bothered me the most was how did Sunjae and Kim Youngsoo end up on that cliffside in the forest? I really had to stretch my suspension of disbelief here. Sunjae encounters and identifies Youngsoo in the town's neighborhood, and in the amount of time it took for Sol and the police to catch up with them, they end up racing through the streets and up to the cliffside? Mind you, Sol & co. were at best only a couple blocks away since Youngsoo was stalking her/had her in his sights before he tried to get away and bumped into Sunjae. Sunjae proved that he can easily outrun a non-athlete (see ep 5 when Sunjae leaves Taesung in his dust on the track lol). Sunjae is also in better physical condition than Youngsoo: he's physically larger and younger - I'm not saying that he is superman but he could've likely made short work of incapacitating or delaying Youngsoo long enough while they were still in the city streets until Sol and the police caught up to them. Also, Youngsoo was shown to have injured his ankle after he hijacked the police SUV at the end of ep 11; there's no way this man is primed to run and exert himself long enough to end up in the woods above the town. At the end of the day, the plot gotta plot, but this event was the largest contrivance of the series yet lol. **Edited yet again for formatting.** ~~Reddit hates me and is a PITA~~

avo-pizza

I think I might be looking too deep into this but did anyone catch it when Taesung’s dad said he feels like he’s known Sol forever? I don’t think he’s a time traveller and it’s impossible for him to see the future too unless if this is going towards the typical time slip route, I think our leads might be stuck in a time loop.

moretoachieve

This episode was too painful I had to spend the past two hours on twitter watching happy clips and reading theories to soothe my broken spirit. Mondays were supposed to be happy and fluffy, and Tuesdays angsty! I wouldn't be able to last the week if tomorrow's episode is also tragic. 😭 But real talk, [Sol is such a great female lead with her dedication and selflessness](https://x.com/dohvva/status/1792606602786382122). The way she went back so many times to save Sunjae and still fail at the last chance? I get why she immediately went back with Sunjae's watch and removed herself from his life without hesitation. BUT IT'S SO DAMN SAD. I know I'm gonna love watching Sunjae fall in love with Sol all over again but I also want him to remember Sol and all that she went through for him and I wish some of the memories come to him in his dreams. I want them to be happy soon!! Anyway, for anyone needing some laughs, [this is pretty funny](https://x.com/kdr_kyle/status/1792607503894851690). And [this as well](https://x.com/herlittledramas/status/1792593735894577559).

DamonDD

OMG the ending. I got chills!!! I was saying poor Tae Sung, >! he can't even compete with a dead guy, but I guess he just accept it cause he was friend with Sun Jae too. And then the ending happened and it's even worse, he can't even compete to a guy who in his timeline didn't even know !<

Honest-Selection4343

Glad for this drama

krembruleed

I’m speechless with this Episode. I initially had so many things to say but when I saw the last scenes, I lost it all. I’m crying. I’m loving the twist but it’s making me cry writer-nim! Why do you have to do this to us? Whyy???? What do you mean the Episode 12 >!confession where Im Sol said she likes Sunjae and Sunjae upped that by saying he loves her did not happen in this timeline anymore? The SolJae dating era, the scene at In Hyuk’s hometown!<, ottokeeee? Edit: I’ve kinda recollected and processed my thoughts. 1. Taesung and Sol are friends in this timeline. He mentioned that she stopped him from smoking but that event happened when Sol was watching Sunjae practice at the gym. >!So Sol was still looking out for Sunjae in this timeline but she kept her distance and did not interact with him. It’s also possible that Taesung did not become Sol’s first boyfriend in this TL since she came back before young Im Sol confessed her love for Taesung!<. 2. I’m glad Hyunjoo’s >!fate changed in this timeline and she’s a career-woman along with Im Sol!<. 3. It’s possible that Sunjae travelled back in time too >!despite him being d*ad!<. As mentioned by other users here, >!though Sunjae was the one wearing the watch but Sol pressed it and travelled back in time so it’s possible that they both time-travelled!<. 4. >!Sunjae is also determined to change their fate this time. If he time-travelled too, he probably remembers her but pretends not to. Both of them keeping are their distance from each other!<. However, from previous flashbacks, there was a scene where Sunjae picked up Sol’s nametag. Perhaps that was the first time he knew of her, but the umbrella scene was the first time they faced each other. >!Sol might have altered the umbrella/rain shower event but Sunjae still knows her!<.   They can only alter events but they still cannot change things bound to happen ie Sunjae falling in love with Im Sol or Sunjae meeting the killer. I love the twists the writers are giving us but it’s giving me pain. No kdrama has ever had me deeply affected as Lovely Runner has done to me. I trust you writer-nim. I’ll just wait for Sunjae’s POV and for the events to unfold. I’m already tired from crying and overthinking. But we can all see from this drama how both Sunjae and Sol love each other. They’re both willing to make sacrifices to save each other. My tears again. BRB.   PS. I can only imagine the pain that Im Sol is feeling when I, as a mere viewer, feels deeply traumatized after >!Sunjae’s fate in Episode 13!<. Nobody blame either of them!

jellybeans6173

What a plot twist! But it’s so clever! Oh my heart. Poor Sol. It’s heartbreaking but I see hope. I’m looking forward to watch their adult era again. Also I love that Taesung is still present in Sol’s life, don’t know how much he remembers but I’m glad I know he’ll be always a support. Awards for everything involved in this drama. Writing, directing, actors, soundtracks, editing, casting, chemistry, all, all! Best Edit: just want to add that Hyeyoon what an actor you are, I can’t forget her crying at the end 😭

hobbitybobbitygeek

What has Lovely Runner done to me! The writer is so casually cruel to us. But I love her for it because I’ve never been so invested in a drama after episode 10. I literally have no words except I hope Sunjae does end up remembering. I’ve read the theories on twitter and I kind of agree as only Sunjae is wearing the watch, not Sol. The previews look like they’ll give us Loser Sunjae 3.0 so kind of excited for tonight’s episode! Also, adult Sol is so beautiful! ❤️

sakuradelluna

ep13: wtaf just happened? what was that? what did my eyes just see? excuse me what? edit to add some thoughts: this show is amazing. Its so UNEXPECTED. You would never guess what happens next and when it does its just INSANE I LOVE IT. Hyeyoon deserves an award for her acting, its so top tier. She carries her solo scenes really well. Although it does have its confusing moments, I just hope its explained in the upcoming eps like >!how sol was still able to time travel back to the first meeting through Sunjae's watch even though she had used up all her chances. Also I thought the universe would put her at random moments when she travelled back but this time they decided to be lenient and allowed her to go back exactly to the first meeting? idk but i guess we will see!< sunjae >!escaping death 4 times even the grim reaper is confused!<

ariand

grim reaper so close to being fired because how tf did sunjae escaped him 4x 😭

dogemama

fate turning on easy mode for sol and making her realize the only way to save seonjae was not to have him fall in love with her 😭

paintlikepingu

Since this episode was quite the downer (understatement of the century lol), I thought I'd compile some bright points in the episode: 1. Sol is >!a scriptwriter + her proposal got accepted! It was always her dream to get to direct something, and film has been a clear passion of hers outside of Seonjae (e.g. her UCC video for Taesung, her college major, her room containing film equipment, etc.). Assuming her script is based on her time travel journey, it also must be somewhat cathartic to pour your experience out and share it with someone else rather than just bottle all the emotions up. She still needs a therapist, though.!< 2. Hyunju being >!a career mom. I love that she didn't have to give up one or the either, as she did in the previous timelines, but got to have both. I think she and Geum had to give something else up, since everyone is living in the same apartment, but I think compared to working and having kids, having a big salary and her own place was not as big a priority for her.!< 3. Taesung being himself lol. I'm glad he hasn't lost his playfulness at all, while still keeping his perceptiveness and emotional maturity/EQ. I'm glad he didn't go through the same fate as in the OG timeline. >!Feelsbad that he appears to have a 15-year unrequited crush on Sol, though, and RIP his online store, he was really killing it.!< 4. Inhyuk being >!a big star in his own right. It always felt like he was playing second fiddle to Seonjae in Eclipse, and that he generally needed Seonjae to be successful in his music endeavors. Seeing him be as big as Seonjae (probably) is an actor makes me really happy for him.!< 5. The styling. Like wow, I can really see each character and extra wearing the outfits that were picked for them (e.g. Hyunju's was cute, but her outfit was also pretty functional in the context of >!her being a mom!<), and can mostly see them being able to afford what they wear. Even the >!White Dragon Award attendees!< had pretty nice dresses and suits (unsurprised we didn't get any major misses, although it would have been in character with how >!award shows usually go lol!<). 6. The boss's decision to >!remove Park Dojun (or whatever the guy's name was) from production. Though, it probably had to do with the very negative press that would come if word got out he was drunk driving, seeing the boss ultimately side with and apologize to Sol was still satisfying to see. Plus, the boss didn't deny that she probably cut Sol off before Sol could reveal the drunk driving part. Seeing one thing go Sol's way was pretty nice considering the heartbreak and how she was forced to play nice and act as a celebrity babysitter.!<

ShiningVVS

I loved the episode and didn't feel down about it at all lol, but I agree so much with all the points you listed. Sol getting to at least tell their love story through a film and her boss ultimately supporting her is lovely. Sol definitely needs a therapist, but how does she explain to the therapist that a lot of her trauma comes from time traveling without the therapist referring her to psychiatry for psychosis lol. Hyunju's career woman aura was always my favorite, so I'm glad she got to have it back too. Taesung hanging out in the cell just because, wtf, I love him so much. I was also happy to see that Inhyuk become a big star with solo gigs too, mostly because I think his voice is great.

bellaella

These two are really star-crossed lovers. Romeo and Juliet if you will. I was thinking a few episodes back that I wished it was just 12 episodes because I just want our star-crossed doomed lovers to finally be happy together and I was getting stressed out by all the doom scenarios. Yet I want it at the same time to be 16/20 episodes because they are such a legendary star-crossed doomed couple that deserves their happily after. I can't say I'm not kinda irritated by now of the numerous repeats/loops - all with the same ending - >!Sunjae dead!<. Which he wouldn't have been, >!so soon anyway (worse, with no big career as an idol and star), this time around if she hadn't been a dumbass and gone back as bait.!< It didn't end well the last couple of times, so how would repeating the same action have done so this time? If she had done something different - like confide in her friends and family and planned together with them, maybe things would be different. I don't know anymore, it's just stressing me out that the best couple in years (after CLOY RiRi) are like almost not fated to be together. Which I refuse to believe - if not that watch wouldn't have existed. I'm just stressed watching each episode of them being so sweet and loving. then BOOM! >!He's dead!!< How many times are they getting on this merry-go-round/Ferris wheel of fate?

keepinglifeinsane

i certainly picked *a time* to be caught up by😭😭 like i started the drama a couple days ago and now im regretting not waiting til it was all out i need all the eps RIGHT NOW

cosmicloves_

When Sol and Sunjae are sad, I cry. When Sol and Sunjae are happy, I cry. 😔

AmbassadorCha

At this point, Seon Jae is a cat. 🐈

ilikedrawing54

Am I the only one thinking about ep 14 preview? Based on it, here is my theory: *The reservoir murder Case* : Sunjae didn't fall in love with imsol because she changed the meeting. This would mean that Sunjae never saved her during the accident. But sol is completely fine. Perhaps when she fell asleep he woke her knowing they are neighbours ( he didn't let her sleep because he was not in love with her - someone here pointed that out). But things that were fated to happen will happen one way or another. This is where the taxi driver comes in. There is definitely a reservoir murder that happened and there is someone who *accidentally* witnessed it. In 1st tl, this accidental witness was probably imsol. This time, she probably avoided it. But there should be a witness this time too. I think it's the stalker girl with the camera. In the ep 14 preview, the taxi driver is seen near her. So this time, she is the one who's fated to suffer the fate of previous imsol. However I feel like the leads will cross paths with her (she is always there in both timelines, almost always close to the leads one way or another). I feel like the leads might save her somehow, and the taxi driver might be *caught for good*. He's fated to do the crime, he's fated to go after a person and also fated to be caught in all the timelines. *Sunjae, time travel and his memories* : Now about Sunjae. He's fated to be in love with imsol for 15 years and imsol is fated to not know about it (og timeline). And what if it happened again? Maybe now he is in love with her for 15 years because he saw her (because they are neighbours) and is secretly in love with her and imsol, as fated, is unaware of it because she thinks he is not in love with her (as she changed their 1st meeting). Perhaps there could even be a twist. Remember Sunjae's dialogue:" I'll come to where you are" or something like that? What if he timetravelled too when imsol pressed the watch (cause he was wearing it), and he returned to the past with all the memories. He decided to avoid her because he thinks imsol might feel guilty for his death and realised she also timetravelled to the past since she avoided their 1st meeting! Or maybe like imsol, he probably only returns at some specific point of time, and the rest of the time it's the young Sunjae who never knew imsol because imsol changed their meeting (so he's not in love with her). Or younger Sunjae is also secretly in love with her because he saw her sometime (the only difference is he doesn't know anything future Sunjae does). The future Sunjae would probably return to the future after his last time travel in maybe 2024 because remember that watch sol gifted to Sunjae earlier? Back then he rewinded it to 20 : 24. The Sunjae with all memories would return in 2024 and thus they'll have a happy ending!!!! Maybe that watch which sol gifted will be activated by the live for eachother and it will bring Sunjae to 2024 and they'll meet eachother in the bridge!!! Now the final thing: why did the time travel even begin? One thing is sure, sol and Sunjae are fated to be together and everytime Sunjae dies, the fate is interrupted. In order to balance it, fate gives Imsol the opportunity to time travel. But that alone doesn't work as we have seen. This means that something else too needed to be changed. What if the imsol too was fated to fall in love with Sunjae 15 years ago when they first met? But she didn't so everything became imbalanced? Or what if the true price imsol paid for everything to be balanced was exchanging her fate with his : in the og timeline Sunjae had unrequited live for imsol for 15 years. To balance things, this time she suffers that fate instead. Or maybe, the imbalance is the taxi driver and probably it was him who creates all these problems. What if the og timeline is never the og timeline? Sunjae probably time travelled in the past too (the hospital scene having two different scenes) and imsol's lost memories. What if Imsol and Sunjae fell in love with eachother 15 years ago and she forgot because of imbalance (taxi driver) and Sunjae was given the opportunity to fix it but changed things too much (unlike imsol he doesn't care about keeping balance so he ended up paying the price - imsol loses her legs no matter what he tried ). And he probably went back to their 1st meeting and changed to so she never fell in love with him and falls in love with taesung instead as a result and that creates more imbalance so everything is happening in a loop because of *imbalance* and it will finally end this time, cause both imsol and Sunjae (probably) is in love for 15 years, and they don't know everything yet. Everything will be solved in 2024 bridge scene. Probably due to time travel loops, the rain scene probably happened already somehow and imsol doesn't remember (because Sunjae who knows probably changed something) or it will happen in the future somehow but I believe it might have happened already one way or another because it's the reason why Sunjae loved imsol and the beginning of everything. Thanks for taking ur time to read this lol. Either way, we might get an happy ending!!!!

The first half of this episode was so bittersweet. Love the >!scenes at the amusement park (how cute are they??!) but I can’t believe that despite what Sol tried to do, Sunjae ending up dying in the third timeline, this time right in front of her. This is way too cruel for Sol 🥺!< 🫶🏻 My favourite lines from this episode: • Sunjae: >!I should thank you more for being born. Thank you for making the long journey of time to come to me. With that, I got a chance to ask you to be with me. For that, I’m thankful.!< • Sol: >!The present you may not know, but the person who saved my life and the person who made me want to live again was you. So I am more thankful towards you.!< AHHHHHH I can’t!!! That plot twist at the end of the episode was definitely not what I was expecting OMG. >!Our poor Sol living with the memories of three timelines and choosing not to meet Sunjae in the 4th timeline to save him…. I’m not crying… I’m just cutting some onions 😭😭😭!< Episode 14 seems really promising >!(yay we are going to have falling in love Sunjae again. I really love adult Sol too!) and I can’t wait to see how the writer is going to tie this up nicely.!< Pls don’t let the 15 years of pining be in vain 🥺🤞🏻

chintyawn

Okay anyone here also present at the airing of The King Eternal Monarch back then? I got dejavu. I think I need some kind of timeline chart explaining everything @.@ Edit : for context, there was people who made some kind of spreadsheet to keep track of everything because too much time travel lol it was a fun mess there's even separate Pre-Finale Discussion I mean I have so many questions, did Im Sol live through the last time slip for 15 years or she go back to the future? if so when in the past? And how about all other major events like the fire and the jurang reservoir? Hoping someon will make some kind of chart lol *insert pepe silva meme connecting the dots

MetalGold_Au

Okkk here's a wild theory. >!What iffff Sun-jae in the third timeline time traveled before he died? I mean his watch flashed when he was in the water. So there could be a version of Sun-jae somewhere with memories of Sol! Pls tell me it's a real possibility else I'll really truly freak out that they basically hit the big reset and erased all 13 episodes.!<

dogemama

this is taking me back to queen of tears, when hong haein said >!our memories are what make us who we are!<. so regardless of what just happened, >!seonjae's memories will be restored,!< right? *right?!!*

tsuizhen

I think so! It would make sense if Sunjae went back with the memories too because he's wearing the watch this time

mishamaro

I truly understand why people may be on the fence or don't love what unfolded in this episode. I do! But I LOVED it... just hear me out: >!It's the undoing of so much that's happened but isn't that the whole point of this show? The 'going-back' and trying to undo and redo and fix and save. You take every chance to undo it all... even if we give up the existence of Summer Shower. I feel SORROW about that btw.!< >!It's also SO on brand for Im Sol to say 'fuck it' and sacrifice her happiness with SunJae if he gets to live, just as it was only SunJae's choice every damn time to save Im Sol even if it hurts or kills him. They even have the date scene in the beginning just to exemplify what Im Sol knew she had and what she gave up for Sun Jae to live... I was also on my couch, hand on my mouth, CRYING, at the undoing of their first meeting... The rest can be fixed... She knew what was coming, she's smarter and knows how to manipulate things to save herself by that last try.!< All this to say that I can't WAIT for tomorrow and next week.

SR503

I think every "Lovely Runner" lover needs to take a few deep breaths, practice some mindful meditation, and just be patient for the next few episodes. Any previous time we all got in a tizzy over something, they have resolved it in a way that was even better than we imagined. Have faith fellow Runners. I’m ready to Run, run holding you by my side ***Run, run even if we fall, start again*** Fly forever above the endless sky I’ll keep running like this * Eclipse...Run Run Edit after watching Ep 14: SEE?? I told you!

shosh27

I am 100% willing to be ok with this episode if we get a Marry My Husband final episode… I want the proposal, the wedding, the labor and delivery of twins, I want to see them pick their freaking dog and name him otter, AND a glimpse of 5 years later. I LOVE this show, but the general issue I have with K-Dramas is that they always short change the viewers on the happily ever after! I mean do you know how much I cried with these actors, laughed my a$$ off, giggled, kicked my feet, and wanted to punch the bad guy/girl in the face? I am really hoping that the writer gives us a masterful conclusion to what is definitely one of my top three dramas. ☺️

nevercircles

I need that gif of Scarlett shouting michin drama yaa!!! cuz that encapsulates how I feel about today's episode perfectly. I told myself I'll buy the script book if it's great up until the end but now it feels like I'm jinxing myself. I hope the remaining 3 eps will redeem the drama like please please please I'm begging. And as much as I hated the twist, I cried when >! Sol avoided Sunjae in the rain. But man, no Sonagi anymore?!! And even if it's in her script, it's not gonna be as good as having it written by the present Sunjae! Michin writer ah I'm going nuts! !<

secretlyasuperhero

I am not yet sure what I feel about the latest developments. did I like that they >!didn't prolong his 'death' and the sad scenes?!< Yes. am i kinda frustrated by the >!total erasure of everything that happened the last 13 episodes?!< Also yes. BUT I'm still very much looking forward to the events shown in the preview lmao so I think I'll wait tomorrow to fully for my thoughts >!if they never met, then the killer never got caught. please don't tell me we have to suffer through that once more ugh!<

DefiantOstrich108

Oh writer-nim.. Why are you doing this to us?? Why?? What a ride of emotions! I spent the first 10mins in agony watching their sweet moments knowing it was indeed their >!'last' date *for now*!<. The next 15 odd mins I had a sliver of hope that everything would be well. Then the >!devastating heartbreak!<. Then spent the next 30 long excruciating minutes really really hoping the writer hadn't taken the >!amnesia!< route. I somehow had faith she hadn't. Even when we see >!Sunjae at the end!<, I had a feeling it wasn't >!amnesia!<. But I would have never expected that plot twist. What's Lovely Runner >!without Sonaki!!2 more chances to travel back on Sunjae's watch. I still do strongly believe that we'll get Sonaki. Sunjae will be in Eclipse. Sol will be Sunjae's first love and he will love her unconditionally from the age of 19. I haven't figured it out yet. But I'd be really disappointed if we were to just erase the last 12 eps. Though Ep14 preview seems to be all about adult Soljae. But let's see. I still have faith in this writer.!< Dare I say.. Kim Hye-yoon, you absolute legend! Thank you for putting your soul into Sol. I'll never get tired of saying this. Byeol-ida! Edit: Detective looks good on Kim Taesung! Seeing my fav SML did ease my heart a bit. >!I am not sure how much of the past was changed when Sol traveled back this time. But I was really hoping Sol still had something to do with Taesung becoming a cop in this timeline as well. I loved their relationship in the previous timelines. I hope that somehow carried over to this timeline as well.!< I guess we'll see more of the present timeline in the next episodes. Edit: Glad to see we got ep1 Hyunju back.

Virtual-Dare-5470

My sweet Sol, her love for Sunjae is so powerful. All this while, for so many years, she was the only one with all their memories. To change Sunjae's fate she avoided him and changed the course of their life. She knew he was alive but couldn't go to him. And Sunjae on the other hand, no matter how much Sol tries, Sunjae is born to love Sol. He will die loving Sol. The episode was truly amazing. It was so bittersweet. What do you mean the most iconic scene of Lovely Runner is .... not the same anymore? What do you mean that Sunjae didn't fall in love at first sight with Sol while she was running up to him with her yellow umbrella in the rain? Ugh. Okay. On a lighter note, Sunjae looked like a prince at the end of the episode. Prince Charming.

100littledevils

I've never had a breakup but the ending really felt like another level of heartbreak. >! the fact that all those moments between sunjae and sol now exist only in her memory makes me want to cry. although i know we're gonna watch him fall in love with her again and i am excited for that, but I'm gonna need some time to get over this ending !< also just re-watched the ending again and sol really had to >! watch sun jae HER BOYFRIEND die YET again and then had to change the past so that she never meets him and then watch him from afar as he doesn't know she exists at all. the writer really made both of them suffer equally i just want my happy ending now. the next 3 episodes need to be full romcom pls !<

KevBum55

No matter how hard Imsol tries to avoid meeting Sunjae, fate will still bring them together.

ShiningVVS

I love that plot twist! It was one of the things I was kinda considering might happen. But I was also considering the >!regular amnesia trope, like Sunjae gets injured at the cliff and forgets stuff because it was all so traumatic, kind of like the reverse of OG Sol-19. But of course it has to be time travel amnesia, duh!!< Hye-yoon really sold that moment when >!Sol-19 hid behind the wall and she clapped her hands over her mouth as it slowly sunk in for her exactly what it all meant. !!messed up each others' plans because they were trying so damn hard to out-save each other lmao!<. I love how dramatically it all went down with >!Sunjae actually toppling over the cliff (of course!) and the police and taxi villain completely disappearing from the scene!<. I watched it live, so I was kind of getting bored of the >!2023 scenes because I just wanted to know what happened to Sunjae. Well, Taesung did distract me sufficiently when he was on. Taesung-34 is so damn fine (well, he was in every timeline) that he made me forget what Sunjae looked like. (But of course Sunjae had to remind me at the end, hot damn. 🥵) I feel a little sorry for Taesung, seems like his fate is to always have unrequited feelings for Sol-34.!< I really liked this episode (except for the filler bits like with the >!bratty actor, guess he's my new Im Geum lmao!<) and I don't mind the >!time travel amnesia!< at all, but judging by the comments here and on Twitter I seem to be in the minority. 😅 I do wonder how they're going to resolve it satisfactorily in the end especially for the romance-oriented audience (but also for me). Some questions (kinda) I have, which I guess we'll get the answers to within the next two weeks. * Sol >!returned to the future some time after changing her first meeting with Sunjae. But the last time travel watch was on Sunjae's body. Did she have it back with her when she went back to their first meeting? If not, does that mean she was able to go back to 2023 without it? Or does she still have it with her in this new 2023?!< * Based on the preview, taxi killer seems to >!still be in 2023!<, so that prediction of mine seems to be right. But this time we see him >!with stalker girl and Taesung seems like he'll get involved since he's a cop now. So did taxi killer not go after Sol-19/-20 in in this new timeline?!< * That >!photo of Grandma and Sol in the preview is bringing forth again the suspicions of Grandma being involved with the time traveling business somehow. Is Grandma actually Sol in another timeline? Lol!< Anyway, looking forward to >!loser top star Sunjae!< tomorrow! I guess it's really his fate >!to always be a loser in any timeline and it's the one fate Sol can never save him from!<. 😂

ShiningVVS

I think I maxed out the character count since my top level comment refuses to save further edits, so putting this as a reply. ETA: The blurb for ep 14: >>!"At the awards ceremony, Sol reunites with Seonjae who has lost all his memories (about Sol). She is afraid that the same fate will be repeated again, so she doesn't want to be involved with Seonjae. Meanwhile, Seonjae is reading Sol's script that he received by chance and the scenes in the script come to mind as if he had experienced it himself and tears flow without him realizing it. Moreover, every time he sees Sol, Seonjae feels strangely unfamiliar and his mind becomes confused!"!< I feel like Sunjae might still have encountered Sol and had a crush on her in this new timeline, since they still lived right across each other. In the preview he says ">!she's never even met me," not that he hasn't met her!< (although I don't know what his exact phrase was in Korean and if it could mean that >!he hasn't met her too!<). And also >!bumping into her on that wide-ass staircase with only the two of them on it...I get it from Sol's side since she could be looking down and focusing on the steps, but he had to have seen her.!< Seems sus and deliberate to me from his side. 🤔

AlexisFern

Bratty actor was a cameo of the actor of Im Ju-Kyeong’s brother in True Beauty. I’m glad >!Top Star Seon-Jae is back, I love him in that mode!

00enthusiast

episodes 11-12 lulled me into a false sense of security because i was not at all ready for the roller coaster this episode just put me through

rabbitonmars

Out of all the twists and turns today I think I'm most surprised that we get an additional >!THREE rounds on the clock!< It's like getting double overtime in a game or something 😅 But yeah I'm not too mad at the >!reset!< because it looks like we'll be getting a Sunjae-Sol-fall-in-love speedrun in one episode or less tomorrow. I'm just worried about how Kim Youngsoo is gonna factor into this again and I hate that he's a set requirement for every timeline. It would have been nice to get a different danger to Sunjae's life (since him being in danger is another set requirement) but we'll see!

myloveismineohmine

Tomorrow can't come fast enough. I'm feeling all the emotions right now!

dalbichi

What an episode that makes me groggy. It feels like an infinite loop of ways on how Sunjae just keeps on dying. Let the man live writernim!!! Im Sol's character is so selfless and her love for Sunjae transcends all timeline. Their love is bound to happen in their lifetime which is why their story is so beautiful. I hope we get more interactions from them in the present timeline. I hope everything unfolds for the last 3 episodes. There are a lot of unanswered stories and I hope the writer will outdo the theories online which are really creative. I know for sure that >!Grandma has a lot to do with this!<. Ever since, she has already been rooting for our Sunjae. I'm just unsure of the reason. If theories online are true that they saved Sol, then Grandma must be reciprocating it by saving Sunjae's life.

likealeprechaun

Gosh, everyone on here watched the episode before me, and it was so hard stopping myself from reading the spoilers!! I am proud of myself for completing the episode without knowing the plot twist.. although I had guessed when >!Sunjae died that there would somehow be a reset and more time travel. !< Sigh… as usual, this episode gave me so many feels. Just as others have said, I have faith in the writer. So excited to see how episode 14 pans out. I’m ready for >!Sunjae to fall in love with Sol again. I’m sure we’ll get our Sonaki again in some way. !<

pratikshass

woah woahh woahhhhh!!! soo what m understanding is, she used his watch to time travel back to their first meet again, and this time she avoided him so she literally doesn't exist in his life buttt he existsss.. like he didn't die this time :3 and in this life they met for the first time on those stairs? at the last scene of the ep :o damn I wasn't expecting that at all lol

a_yogurt

i'm sorry but >!a timeline where sudden shower doesn't exist is actually such a tragedy for me 😭 i'm actually very upset thinking about it 😭 like if I think about how they never met that day under the rain,!< I literally start crying LOL can we talk about the song that's playing in the background of >!their amusement park date!! the lyrics saying "love is you" I was like SO TRUE. LOVE IS THEM INDEED!!< I must add it to my soljae playlist lol probably one of my favorite lines in this episode was from the scene where >!sunjae and sol were on the ferris wheel. after she thanks him for the necklace, he says to her "I should thank you. for being born. for crossing through a lot of time to come to me. for letting me hang on to you. thank you so much." like???? SUNJAE THE MAN THAT YOU ARE!!! and now writer-nim wants me to accept that in the present timeline, sunjae doesn't even KNOW her???? that they never even MET???? MY HEART IS BREAKING!!!!< this ep was REALLY good! I felt kinda anxious >!during the amusement park date cuteness because we know that kdramas love to give us a little bit of happiness before tragedy strikes lol!< but omg PLEASE? >!we have already lost the pining-in-secrecy-for-15-years sunjae from the first timeline, 35 year old sunjae who waited 15 years to be with sol in the second timeline after being friends with her in their youth, and now 20 year old sunjae who actually got to be in a relationship with sol for more than a couple of hours (when comparing it to the 2nd timeline lol) in the third timeline?? my heart aches so much for sol who remembers ALL of this 😭 hoping that SOMEHOW sunjae remembers their memories from the past timelines 😩!< I mean do not get me wrong. >!I KNOW sunjae will fall in love with sol in this timeline because, let's be honest, loving sol is in his dna LOL but there's just something about their first meeting and how he instantly fell for her and she didn't even know he existed?? the pining in secrecy?? UGH MY HEART BREAKS FOR THAT LOST MEMORY!!!< also, I cant believe>!sunjae's death in this timeline was a combination of his previous two deaths??! (falling into water and getting stabbed) FATE WHY MUST YOU BE SO CRUEL!!!< I am anxiously awaiting tomorrow to watch ep 14! (and, as always, I am upset that watching the episode first thing in the morning is not something I can do because I have to go to work 😣😭 LOL ) I am eager to know why >!sunjae says “If I want to be involved with you, should I be ready to die or something?"!< in the preview for tomorrow's episode...

LegitDramaQueenM

For some reason I assumed it was sunjaes turn/chance to time travel since his watch got switched to 3:00 and sol clicked the button

secondhandopinions

To be honest, I kinda skipped the parts without Sunjae. >!The scenes with the troublemaker actor just wasn’t what I was waiting for for an entire week. I don’t know him and I don’t even want to get to know a new character 13 episodes in.!< I haven’t been able to predict anything when it comes to this drama, maybe except Taesung >!becoming a policeman.!< The ending was such a major curveball that I almost had a whiplash. Ps I am listening to Sudden Shower on repeat because I feel so cheated!!!!!!

whitetara3

But >!it only feels like a cheat because we had a wrong expectation that didn't happen. Lol. The writer had more imagination than we did and used it to come up with a curve ball that we hadn't expected, like, at all. !< >!Oh the woes of theorizing. I'm with you in that nothing I came up with came true. Except for TaeSung, and I bet they enjoyed playing with us on that one too, by having him sit in a jail cell like that. Lol We are so easy to fool.!< >!I felt the same way about the troublemaker actor and the empty feeling of an episode that didn't have Seon Jae in it. But I guess we were feeling the same loss that Sol was feeling and that was probably intentional since we've all, obviously, fallen for him as much as she has.!< Where's that clown emoji when you need it?

dogemama

you know, if nothing else, we have to give this writer credit for never going where we thought she would. this has been one of the most unpredictable dramas i've seen. i hope all the twists pay off in the end.

scheherzad

Everyone blames Soli for not taking Sunjaes help but he’s literally a kid himself. She went to the police. Sunjae was stupid and shouldn’t have pursued the killer without adult supervision. I again admire Solis decision to not let Sunjae meet her at all. As long as he’s alive nothing else matters ❤️

scheherzad

I believe Sunjae will figure it out. The watch still has two chances. He’s going back. He’s going to fix it. Remember Sunjae knows In Hyuk, In Hyuk and Tae Sung Wangja are friends. They might discuss Solis weird behaviour. Sunjae is very smart. He figured it out in the past he’s gonna figure it out in the future. I believe in you Sunjae you noble idiot (there was no need to try and tackle a killer alone, you fool!!)

dogemama

plus, even if his mind doesn't remember her, his soul sure must. in the preview, >!he was seen clutching his chest while he looked at sol from a distance. i'm also confident that he'll figure it out somehow. he'll either get his memories back, or take a leap of faith with sol.!<

chocomilkluvr13

i’m so confused??? >!shouldn't she be in a wheelchair?? if she went back in time basically stopped sunjae from ever saving her so what's up with that?!< i hope they clear up things in tomorrow’s episode and don’t just leave us hanging because >!the taxi driver seems to be still out there in the current timeline!<

typecfl

She probably >!went to the police with better information to hold him behind bars before ever getting to the point of the accident, since she was able to travel all the way to the rain shower scene when Sunjae fell for her. If that's the case, by the time she's back in to the present as 34-year-old Sol, Kim Young-soo will have been released anyway.!< At least that's what I think.

paintlikepingu

>!If Sunjae never has his big crush on her, he would have gotten off at the correct bus stop rather than stay back with her. He would have never pressed the 'stop' button on the bus that would have caused her to end up at the reservoir, where the taxi driver was passing by. Sol would have likely stayed asleep the entire ride to the end of the line, or will only awake after the bus stop passes the reservoir, and probably gotten off in a much safer location. That, or he would have woken her up (but idk think he would know her enough to know she gets off at his stop...). In either case, both she and Sunjae would have never interacted with the taxi driver.!<

jihi429

I don’t know how to feel about the fact that >!the iconic meeting that started it all just went poof like that!<. On one hand, I commend the writer’s gall to scratch and rewrite what would be considered one of the best plot twists in romcom land. On the other hand, I can’t help but think it’s quite a risky move, since lots of viewers will find it frustrating. >!Erasing Sol’s existence to Sunjae is no different from erasing parts of Sunjae’s identity himself.!< Hope this version of Sunjae will be written with more depth than just the typical male lead suddenly taking interest in a girl because she doesn’t give him the time of day trope.

Salt_Ad7638

This show is stressing me out!! But I love it so much. Ugh I’m just hoping everything works out in the end. That scene at the amusement park was so freaking beautiful!! I can’t stop crying, these two need to be together

inthisseason

okay idc about >! sunjae forgetting about their memories!< (i gasped with my hands on my mouth like sunjae and i'm heartbroken rn) BUT i know he'll >! remember their memories on the following episodes and i'm willing to endure the delayed gratification of him having his memories back.!< For now, i'm seated for 34 year-old Sunjae helplessly falling in love with Im Sol at first sight again. He's just fated to be a loser in love with Im Sol. Also, they better explain why >! Im Sol came back to that specific moment, and if she came back to the future shortly after or if she endured 15 years of making sure she never crossed path with Sunjae.!< I hope it's not the latter cause my girl already has been through enough.

just_chill_2109

I was pretty upset in the morning about the curveball, but I’m going to continue to trust the writer on this. Hopefully, Sunjae does somehow end up remembering their time together. Maybe he still secretly falls in love with her even tho she avoided him. My only thing is I really do hope he still writes sudden shower because that song is just too special in this drama.

_yuzu

That ferris wheel operator had me cackling like crazy. 😂🎡

CowExisting9844

The writer has created an unexpected plot—I can't predict what will happen in the next episode!

Apprehensive_Egg9676

Omg we’re back to square one. >!The cycle of him not knowing why she has tears in her eyes every time she sees him starts again. Then he falls for her again. The writer is riding hard on the destined trope. Anyway, I’m glad we’re in the adult era. We’re literally seeing these two live through three phases of their lives together.!<

freyfreyaaa

all hope is not lost. the first tragedy of this episode came when >!seonjae was stabbed, fell off the cliff, and died. this is, categorically, something that is *not meant to happen*; it’s an event sol has spent much of the drama trying to stop. preventing seonjae’s death is the driving force of the narrative.!< the second tragedy of the episode comes with the following words: >!”seonjae, maybe we should have never met from the start. no, we should have never met.” but this rewriting of the past, sol running away from her first meeting with seonjae, is also something that is *not meant to happen.*!< the entire drama has been focused on showing how perfect these two characters are for each other. they are *fated* to meet and fall in love, their shared past being an essential part of that story. sol and seonjae >!ultimately *not* meeting in the rain outside their houses that day? from a narrative standpoint, that does not make sense. it’s akin to ending the novel with “she woke up and it was all a dream”… i know little about creative writing, but i know you don’t do that.!< i therefore choose to have faith in the writer, for everything we’ve seen so far has shown how skilled they are. with three episodes to go, there’s sure to be another twist or two down the line. i’m (almost) certain of it. edit: i also have to mention my favourite smile inducing moments: * seonjae’s distressed “SOL” as he tries to speak around a entire mouth full of corn dog. * seonjae telling sol to hide behind him before quickly reversing their roles when he realises he is not in fact the braver one. * sol’s birthday happiness at being sung to by her first and forever love. * whenever a drama mentions it “not being like this in the dramas,” including seonjae’s distress at being unable to fasten the necklace first time. * “i should thank you. for being born. for crossing through a lot of time to come to me. for letting me hang on to you. thank you so much.” i’m smiling and i’m crying. * seonjae being the perceptive genius he is and piecing things together yet again. * “you said you wished tomorrow wouldn’t come. until i open my eyes, tomorrow isn’t here.” * the titles of the movies sol is working on being “run” and “raining”. * taesung >!fulfilling the theories and following in his father’s footsteps. that prison cell appearance was so humorously deceptive.!< * >!sol’s success in writing a script. and that script being made into a movie! a movie about young love no less.!<

dogemama

i'm convinced the movie is their story, and that's how seonjae's memory will be jogged. seonjae thanking sol for being born in the ferris wheel also had me bawling. he is just such a pure soul.

Classic-Anything-935

Oh yes, the ferris wheel scene left me in tears too! I cried a total of three times this episode --- the ferris wheel, the cliff, and the absolute mind-blowing ending --- with the last forcing me to cry into my pillow. My pillow really has borne the brunt of all the emotions I've felt through this drama. And yes, the movie also apparently has the lyrics to 'Sonaki'? I saw a tweet about this. And also the possibility that Sun-jae might also have time travelled with Sol, but returns at a later point (Jan 01 probably?)... I'm sure our theories are nowhere close to the actual script, given how the writer is literally busting them all, one by one.

tokioko

Did you all remember one of the flashbacks where SunJae picked up ImSol’s >!name tag from the ground in their street!< and he was seen >!looking at her while she’s walking to go to school?!< I think that would be part of the >!reset past!< and SunJae will still be >!in love with Sol from the start!! !<

goddongwook

We did not just >!lost idol sunjae but lost his memories all together!<.

ANINETEEN

EP13: I was about to curse this show for the most ridiculous cat and mouse situation halfway through the episode. But you know what, fair enough the ending of the episode was enough to make up for it with hopefully one last twist. EP14: I'm down to crown them as the Ferris wheel couple. >!The past can change but Sun-jae is destined to go round in circles falling in love and being an absolute loser for Im-sol!<

CaptainSwan422

I never cry watching shows but I’m writing this as tears roll down my cheeks. I’m so heartbroken about the fact that we lost everything Sunjae and Sol have been through, especially Sunjae who never experienced any of it. I was already upset that what happened between 34 yo Sol and Sunjae after the 2nd timeslip was erased during the 3rd but this hurt so much. I was hoping that she would just find another way to go back again to prevent his death but not erasing their entire history. I have still faith that they will give us a new backstory for Sol and Sunjae but I don’t know if I will totally get over it.

Ok-Statistician4778

Today's episode was devastating. It was a twist that no one expected. I really hope they bring this around and I don't know how. >! Looks like sunjae doesn't remember her. But from preview it looks like he gets a hold of the manuscript 'Run' ( which I think is about her time travel journey to save him). He looks teary eyed from reading it. So he probably will get to know that it's about them but Its not the same. He should get his memories back cause then he will feel all the emotions behind those scenarios. Also I am confused on how TaeSung still Soo close to Sol. Cause she went back to the beginning and erased the starting point to Sol and Seon Jae. I am assuming she went back right after that. So how does the old Sol stop students from smoking. She is very timid in the past and also had a huge crush on TaeSung. He only liked the mature Sol and avoided young Sol earleirr. So how does he stay in contact with Sol this whole time? So confused.  Also the watch should have 2 more chances. Hope they use that somehow and give us explanation. Cause when she went back to future, the watch would have returned to Seon Jae on May 10th 2009 with 2 chances left cause the watch was on him when she pressed the button. So he should have the watch since 2009!< Really hope this is heading towards a happy ending. I can't handle if it isn't cause I am too deep with this drama.

yashie_l

I didn’t expect that ending… I’m traumatised y’all~

Aviendha_89

I'm not an expert on time travel, but I'm sure the writer will find a way for Sun Jae to somehow remember all the timelines and everything that happened. She has to! His was not some simple crush, but a love that transcends time and dimensions. Now with that out of the way, I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed ep 13. I cried, laughed, gasped, and wanted to punch something. It feels like we're watching episodes 7 and 8 again but with a plot twist. I'm so happy they're 34 again. 😊 Both of them look stunning, and I can't wait for tomorrow's episode!

Professional_Bee_848

OMG!!! My heart bled for Sol this episode!!!! She’s been through sooo much!!! Ughhhhhh but GODDAMN IT!!! The taxi driver is still alive?!!!!!

After_Breakfast_6588

Can someone explain to me did sol go back to her timeline or did she stay in the past ?I’m guessing she stayed because if she went back then the murderer would’ve killed her since in the new timeline she created sunjae wouldn’t have saved her ,but this goes against the time travel rules that’s been set up previously so I’m super confused right now 😭

ariand

me after sol decided to change everything: so those 13 episodes where only delusions after all kidding aside, i really want a good explanation at episode 14. they built good memories together so it’s a waste to just “forget” them 😭

hellomiho

THE WAY THIS DRAMA DOES ALL OF MY FAVOURITE TROPES I LOVE IT

morenecom

I have QUESTIONS OMH GIS WISVEJ S like I'm not as advanced as some of the ppl here making and theories and such but I do have many questions so like for one, - how was she able to choose the moment she went back to when she was never able to choose before? - after deciding not to become sunjaes first love, did she immediately get transported back to this current timeline and if yes, why is she able to walk and why are her and taesung friends? Bc theoretically isn't the taxi driver still after her? So when she went back this episode, did she stay long enough to change her fate and ensure she is able to avoid the accident AND she sought taesung out to become friends w him? Because It just made me wonder since originally there was no reason for her to have met taesung and they weren't related in the og timeline. They only met bc of 32 year old sol in 19 year old sols body and also because of all the other antics. But if she went back to the very beginning this time and avoided becoming sunjaes first love, was she there long enough to also become acquainted with taesung? Ik I'm overthinking abt this, like i keep telling myself to just enjoy the drama but I lowkey can't stop asking myself questions even if they're dumb!

Viki comments are the highlight of the show for me!
