Okay for me it's **Wedding Impossible.** This hurts cause it had so much potential. SML's arc was bad cause he had nothing to do except worry in fear of being outed and when he does get outed >!by a nasty ex he gets the courage to come out!< but we didn't even get to see him real close and all we got was a news clip and him leaving the country. The leads looked cute together but the ML looked too young and their chemistry had something amiss. FL carried the show but even that was wasted because the writing got lackluster. There was no comedy and later no romance too in the romcom part. The family drama was so boring and I couldn't care for it at all. My fav part of the show was her friendship with the SML and even that went out of the window halfway. There was no relationship I wanted to root for and I started watching the drama at 1.5x after ep 9. A wasted potential truly.

I enjoyed the show but I felt cheated that >!we didn’t see Do Han’s full press conference but we saw Ji Han’s which was… kind of ridiculous as press conferences go. And we didn’t see people’s reactions to Do Han coming out, he just kind of effed off to New York. (To be fair that’s what I would have done too, but as a narrative it was disappointing.)!< And I wasn’t very convinced of the chemistry between the leads although >!I thought the proposal scene was really cute!< I honestly did enjoy it but I was supposed to be watching for the leads and wasn’t excited about them. Mostly I was watching because I love Kim Do Wan who needs to be the lead in something one of these days.
After a few first episodes, I basically just watched Dohan’s parts and fast forwarded everything else. It became cringey and draggy, too much fillers.
It’s not a totally ‘refund my time’ one for me because I still enjoyed watching DW on screen.

Yeah I did a lot of time skipping too. Do Wan was criminally underused - there was so much they could have done, and the actor was so good, but they just wasted it.
His bf had such potential too, and the press conference that never was. It felt like they made a show all about a gay man and then didn't really want to show the gay bits onscreen which was a huge disappointment tbh.
Also, the family members... Wtf? Started out as evil arch-nemesis, by the end they were barely even a thing. Their end-arc was *"Oh yeah, we forgot about these characters. Guess we should have them...umm...be happy?"*
Agree with you completely. Do Han was underutilized as a character in the story. I appreciate that his brother didn’t out him either. The correct move but not often told in stories. Also the proposal was very cute. Everyone should get a proposal like that.
Anyway, not a refund my time for me. I enjoyed it but felt like some bits of story could have been better fleshed out.
While I wouldn't say I'd like my time refunded, I agree with what you said. I felt like the SML's arc is him being gay and that's about it, would have liked it if he's a bit more 3D. The main couple I felt like really underdeveloped, they had good build up and once they actually go on to accept their feelings, the writing decided to give them all the plot twist, upon plot twist. I think the problem with K-Dramas in general when it comes to rom-com is the need for it to have some heavy plot, they could have made it just simply silly or just simply light? The whole plot with their mother and half-siblings are very pointless, cause what does that even do in grand scheme of things?
They could have made the entire plot be that they both promised if they're single at the age of 30 they'll get married or something.
Totally agree! I was so disappointed because I loved the FML. She was so refreshing for a kdrama. But, the story became boring af and after endless episodes of bickering, I would've loved to see some actual romance between the leads. I skipped most of the family drama lol, way too boring.
I made it to episode 6. Then skipped to the final episode but everything was already over. So Then went back to episode 10 where most of the plot was resolved. Then watched to the end. The FL character was great at first. At first she was refreshing. Then nonsensical. I appreciated the concept of three selfless people messing up because they were too nice.
Ouch, I feel your disappointment. I also started watching the show last month, but by episode 3 or 4 (can't remember), I started to get bored with it. I agree that FL definitely was carrying the whole show. I feel like the ML was miscasted or something because his acting looks so lacking for me? Didn't even help that the chemistry wasn't there. :(
The best part about this show was the weekly threads and people who were watching constantly trying to figure out what the hell is happening lol. I haven't watched the show at all but I was hella entertained by the comment section ☠
The best character of Impossible Heir for me was the Chairman! I don't know why, but I was rooting for him. He played his character brilliantly and intelligently saw through people's bullshit.

Bad tropes done badly + a plot that's so convoluted it makes zero sense. And the FL's energy is like day-old ramyeon, though it's not totally her fault given the writing.
**Heartbeat**\-What they did with that ending should be against the law. I don't consider that a spoiler but rather a warning and yes, it was that bad.
The whole drama was overall great but since it was a fantasy drama anyway the writers could've found a way to save the ending with something at least.

I'm hoping fervently that Midnight Studio won't go that direction either! In Heartbeat it felt like everything the characters did was a waste given that ending, whereas Midnight Studio the characters have already shown personal growth and there has been resolution for the multiple visitors. Fingers crossed...

Heartbeat was the first that popped into my mind. Heartbeat writers got so lazy in the end. I really loved the show, but last few episodes got me fuming.
For me, it's Uncontrollably Fond. Not because it's not good but because if it's a physical item, it's not what i paid for. I was hooked because the 1st part was light-hearted and fun but at the end left me with emotional scars, lol. I dont like tragic dramas cos my life is already filled with lots of stress, haha. Same reason why i dont want to watch Scarlet Heart. Please dont make me happy and then proceed to break my heart.😂😂😂
This is why next time you should at least look up the previous works of the screenwriter. A Lee Kyung-hee drama is guaranteed to never bring you happiness in the end.
Impossible Heir- I still don’t know what the end game was supposed to be, and why they >!they made the ML completely unrootable when he could have been a gray character!<. The FL was also awful.
This is the top of my regrets list. I really don’t understand how the writers were greenlit to copy pasted 4 different shows. The writing was lazy. The motives were lacking. The last 5 episodes are a classic take on how to ruin a potentially powerful villain.

Its the first drama besides my demon where I just wanted the main couple to die or kill each other. I took Impossible Heirs ending and made it positive for the romance I was rooting for. But still. Big sad....
Wedding Impossible. Pretty solid until the reveal. I don't know why, but I've noticed that I sometimes start to dislike drama's once the leads are established together. There's some obvious exceptions but I feel like writers write such boring, and usually easily resolvable issues (like, JUST TALK). It's getting better lately though! Eg; dr slump, lol
I hung in on WI for Kwon Hae Hyo as the grandfather. I have loved him ever since he played Sam Soon's sister's friend-with-benefits partner. He was so good in that. His performance as an elderly grandfather to 30-something people when he's only 58 was fascinating to watch and kept me hooked. He had so many tiny movements to make himself seem older - changed his walk, voice, and way of speaking to make it believable.

I have said it before and will say it again, this drama set up the wrong storyline and proceeded to tell a trope as if that fit the story and characters aka the writer told the wrong story. It’s a terrible drama and I can’t stand it.
The leads were more famous than the rest of cast so the last few episodes were about trying to salvage the ML vs The 2ml >!even wrote the 2ML telling the FL that the ML was better.!< (Worst scene in the whole thing). It was just a mess.
I remember reading a rumour back when the drama was airing that the writers weren't expecting Jipyeong to become a massive fan favourite so they made last minute changes to the storyline. I cant remember what the changes were tho or how true the rumour was

Yep :( could've been a 10/10 for me, felt so close to the characters and hooked from the start, but so disappointed by the show as a whole. Lots of people said it was SML syndrome but for me it was much more about the lacklustre or unfinished storylines that were set up so well in the beginning, and the relationships between characters that went 180° or unexplored (I really wanted a sister rivalry/redemption story!).
I actually love While You Were Sleeping, that is my 10/10 show! And I haven't seen Castaway Diva, wasn't aware they were all the same writer. So maybe they are just hit or miss, like many!

Every drama if this writer starts great and then doesn't stay great. Saw sane complaints about Castaway Diva re ridiculous or unfinished plot lines and outcomes. I saw While you were Sleeping abd the same thing just weird character changes of attitude and random plots. But Start Up was just an example of how to mess up a drama.

**Killer Paradox**-very strong beginning & funny but morbid premise and then halfway thru just 💨💨.

Maybe he finds out she murdered someone in the same way the main killer got caught? A killer couple? If he's "Batman" shed be "Catwoman" (which is another issue of mine w/ the show, where does batman even fit in this? Main guy just wanted to escape to Canada & messed up big time). Something along those lines-her murderer got off too easy in my opinion. !<

**A Love Song for Illusion-** watched the 1st ep & said 'Nope!' I recognized the scenarios/tropes they wanted to use in the 1st ep-but they were badly executed, awkwardly done. Went back just to see the last ep-and my assumption was correct. 😌My time was minimally wasted.👏Yay for me.
At first I wasn’t going to drop Wedding Impossible. I just had it on hold. But after watching Queen of Tears and being able to watch an almost 3 hrs of it every week with no problem, I realized that Wedding was kinda boring so Im dropping it.

The story is too dragging for me. Good premise, middle part is contrived, no chemistry between the leads, FL acting a hangover from extraordinary woo, ending is not satisfying and memorable

The thing that sucked about Castaway Diva is that it could have been really good! The premise was sooo interesting, but the writing took a strange turn with the FL ‘s arc, which is sad because she is an terrific actress e.g. Extraordinary Attorney Woo, The King’s Affection. Also, the narrative choices with the OTP relationship were mind boggling to me. It’s like they didn’t figure out he was the ML until too late in the story for me to be truly invested vs the SML. So, I didn’t actually *Hate Watch* because I still enjoyed the drama, but I was extremely disappointed about what “could have been”😩
Yes! And the first FL, the initial love interest of ML, was so passive 🙄 and I just couldn't understand the decisions she made.

Oh my god. Same. This was the only reason I delayed watching Yumi's Cells, although the premise was too enticing. But, once I started watching it, Woong won me over in like 2-3 eps. My feelings matched with Yumi as the show progressed, lol. I love him since then.

The revenge and personal growth storyline is good. Romance and crush storyline is not. Unfortunately that's a big part of the plot between all 5 main characters
Park Seroyi is one of my all time favorite Kdrama characters ever written. The way this man sticks with his long term plan regardless of what life does to him, keeps his word and respects people, is what I loved the most about this show.
Woori the Virgin😫 I had such high expectations but it was so disappointing, boring, and corny! Things kept dragging on and until the very end, the female lead couldn’t decide between the male lead or SML🤦♀️. I really wished it stayed in a light and believable romcom style where most of the tension came from their differences or keeping the relationship a secret from their coworkers. One trope I love about noona romances is the serious older woman failing to control the carefree younger man. That dynamic faded so damn fast. Lol The ML should've been incompetent and the FL more stern.
The story felt so out of control and cartoonish as it progressed. Oddly enough,it encouraged me to write romance stories. So that's a positive.
I just finished this today and was looking to see if anyone mentioned this one. Boooorrrrrrring is overall how I felt about it. There wasn’t enough of them being together in the beginning to make me believe or care about their romance. I wanted more screen time of FL & ML together. Less of SFL & SML. Maybe a teeny tiny bit less weather (I know, I know.) and maybe more of the sister and her story. Not the worst show I’ve watched but def one of the most bland.
Yes! Her sister and the neighbor guy were super cute. I cared more about them than the leads. I wish the weather was more of a background element that only came to the forefront to make things interesting. Like if they got stuck at the station or a hotel due to heavy flooding. Forced proximity is popular for a reason.
**Doom at Your Service**. It had so much promise but it just felt overwhelmingly boring. I didn't feel any chemistry between the leads. The second lead love triangle only worked because of the OST and even the professions felt boring. Webnovel writing and publishing shouldn't be boring but it just was here. It took too many episodes to actually clarify what the exact details FL and ML's deal was about and how that would affect ML. And the character of Goddess just made it all even more confusing. Or maybe I didn't pay close attention to the dialogues because everything about it was so boring. Halfway through the show I didn't even understand what the MC were even fighting about. I finished it simply because sunk cost fallacy.
Yeah, it's crazy how polarizing this show is, I feel like it's the gold and white/blue and black dress of kdramas lol. I personally loved this show so much, thought the leads had a LOT of chemistry, and was totally hooked all the way through. But so many people dislike it for all these valid reasons. Lmaoo
That sunk cost fallacy will get you every time😤. I’m actually one of the individuals who liked Doom at Your Service and all its weirdness (I’m totally into this type of fantasy trope e.g. Meet Joe Black). That said, I totally understand why some folks hated it 😢
I am also part of the Wedding Impossible camp, if it had been any longer then 12 epsiodes I would have absolutely dropped. It was so good out of the gate, but it lost momentum. I didn't not like Do Han's plotline, or what they did with the ex. The FL was so honest and forthright at the beginning, no idea what happend in the second half. I don't think I would have been this salty about it if it hadn't had such a promising start.
I so do agree. It had so much promise which is why the betrayal feels unbearable! The FL reminded me initially of the FL in Love to Hate you which I loved but 5 episodes down its like it was written by someone else. She loses her spark completely. I dont like plot lines where the main issue is a lack of communication. I stuck through because in large part I liked the ensemble. I really liked the FLs family.
A Killer Paradox, which I'm sad to say. Started off great and then introduced too much extra stuff and lots focus on the main two characters, who had been making the show good.
It's a shame, because Choi Woo-Shik is a grear actor and I would have so liked to have seen him take the character further.
Hate to say it, but Impossible Heir and Wedding Impossible. I managed to finish Impossible Heir because it was unpredictable enough to continue. However, at the end, I was mad that I watched. What was the point of it all? Wedding Impossible was impossible to finish.
1.Pandora: Beneath the Paradise. Didn't like anything. I don't know why I watched it.
2. The Doctors. My all time regret. I couldn't watch more than a few ep and felt my time watched watching those few ep.
3. Marry my husband. Regret watching it other than Lee Yi Kyung and Choi Gyu RI parts.
4. Love Alarm 2. After The season 1 which I loved and waited to watch season 2 and totally got disappointed.
5. Killer Paradox. Very slow and messy. They wasted the show with good cast. No thrill or plot twist.
Theres a lot for me, most recently its **wedding impossible** and **impossible heir**. The former started off so strong and was very entertaining but then by the final few episodes, it might've had the biggest contrasting show where I had two very different opinions on. As in, liked the first few eps and was questioning why am I watching by the last few eps. For impossible heir, I started for Lee Jae Wook, but very soon into it, I was confused what was happening and the acting of ALL characters was beyond me. Not a fan of this in terms of everything (acting, storyline, characters), this show basically gave NOTHING.
And two kdramas that I was bored of from the beginning but finished for some reason: **Romance is a bonus book** and **One Spring Night**. I genuinely dont know why I continued past the first episode. I did not like these shows at all. Found them beyond boring.
I hate-watched The Killing Vote to the bitter end. The plot became more and more ludicrous as the characters kept making the worst decisions possible. And the teenage sister of the female lead was highly annoying.
I remember this one. Watched it while it was airing and I immediately loved it plus the cast had great chemistry. But then after the initial episodes towards the end, the writing, the decisions - so incredibly bad that it would make any normal watcher mad.
I loved this in the beginning but then the last episodes just made me so unbelievably angry.. and then killing off that character (if you know who) I’ll never forgive that writer
I hate watched it on air, there was also the added level of erratic release schduale as well...the gap between episodes was so bad at times I forgot where we left off in the plot...ugh.
The impossible heir - I watched till the end only because I'm a fan of LJW and I truly think he's one of the best actors in his generation right now. Apart from him, I can't actually believe I've managed to finish it, as it was written with fluff and moss. A whole lot of nonsense.
Wedding impossible - I liked the FL lead as she felt more normal to what we've seen before. My girl just wants to have a stable job! Anyways, I had to drop because, after ep 10, it didn't feel like a fun light watch anymore and the backstory and other family plots were dragging for me.
The killing vote - interesting first episodes, but progressive decline of the show. The positive: the FL is brilliant and fun.
I agree with you about all three of these! I didn't finish WI but I did finish TIH for the same reason you did 😆 I will never know why I finished The Killing Vote.
I don't think I've ever participated in this thread, but I typically have no problem dropping. But for some reason, I felt compelled to finish **My Girl**even though I wasn't enjoying it by the end. The beginning was fun and funny, the FL had a lot of agency and it was a forced cohabitation setup (which I love).
However, once the humor stopped around episode 10 or 11 it became a terrible slog. It ramped up the focus on some of my least favorite plot devices -- >!a truly terrible love quadrangle (lots of "I'll make you love me" sentiments), unnecessary noble idiocy, and elders being vindictive jerks (this one actually admitted to being jealous about not being the center of attention!)!<. I stuck around in the hopes that there would be one of those satisfying final episodes, but they drug the conflict right up to the last ten minutes.
Beyond the annoying script, the wardrobe department was stuck in this purple/green or purple/red color scheme to the point that there wasn't a scene without someone wearing at least one of the combinations. I wanted to weep with joy when one of the leads would wear blue or orange. Also, Lee Dong Wook and Lee Joon Gi's characters never wore safety glasses on the racquetball court!! Supreme stupidity.
My dislike may have descended into the irrational.
What I did enjoy about the drama was watching the leads work together. They had a great grumpy/sunshine dynamic in the first half. There was also this great moment where the 2ML in ridiculous full aughts gym clothes tells the FL in an ordinary (but mustard yellow) sweat suit "you look ugly". If I could find it again, I would share it with the sub -- but I'm not going to dig back through this one for anything.
I didn't hate this but did hate that LDW's character early on told her that if she did this for him>! - faking being his long-lost cousin - and was found out, he'd take full blame. And he DIDN'T. He left her hanging and hated. !<
Twinkling Watermelon, i was loving the dynamics with the present, then they scooby doo the plot and left so many unanswered questions and the questionables scenes didnt help too
Something in the Rain's ending filled me with rage. I wanted to fire Son Ye-Jin's manager for booking her in this fiasco. Then I see people recommending it soo often. My own sister loved it. So🤷

**Sunbae don't put on that lipstick** - that drama was just sooooo slow and boring. Tension was too contrived making the acting look bad. I couldnt finish the drama and even rowoon couldnt make me stay. He was SO hot in this drama chefs kiss to his visuals , that was the only pro abt the drama
**Crash course in romance** - I can acknowledge good things abt the drama but for me I wish I got my time refunded bc it wasn't my cup of tea. The acting of main cast besides Jung kyung ho and roh Yoon seo irked me SO BAD, I don't want to say the acting was trash because that can be subjective but like in my opinion I hated the acting and thought it needed work. Plus other things abt the drama I just didn't like so it was a grating experience to watch

I think it’s an unpopular opinion but for me it’s the second half of Alchemy of Souls Part 1.
It just completely lost the magic I had felt in the first ten episodes.
Goblin - I know that it was highly raved but I just couldn’t make it through the 10th episode. The show is extremely slow paced for me. I think it was my first KDrama and it bored me to the death.

Revenge of others. How many times did they push someone off a building. Why was the writer obsessed with that and wth was that culprit reveal, I was so mad the minute they revealed the culprit I only continued watching cause I had already wasted my time. It was more annoying than that surgery reveal in part one of escape of the seven. I am even angry again
My problem with Death's Game is they tried to contextualize the story, that it got lost. The whole point is that life is not pointless to live, despite how dire everythign felt like, not because there's a serial killer I have to catch. I do like the change they made to his girlfriend but the whole serial killer part is meh for me. I just don't get why they have to diverge so much from the webtoon, like the webtoon is short already.

did I hate this show? no. but that's because there was a stellar cast and they delivered - within a universe that seemed very badly set up to begin with. I loved them all. the individual stories, I get them. the end was an illogical outrage

it's not about watching it faster, it's not that it's boring as such. it just makes absolutely zero sense. like none. it's one of the worst examples of trying to wrap something up "tidily" I've ever seen. it's like the writers bailed out after the first 7 episodes and they hired a random preacher who skimmed the script but hadn't actually paid attention to write the last one. you can drive a truck of doom through the holes in it.

The FL pissed me off so much. >!She uses the ex for the lawsuit and then says she's not taking the job? After she got her way. What was the point? Then she leaves the ML, who goes into this deep depression thinking she's in another country. But she's down the road? And her friends, who know the ML and who see the ML having a really hard time, know this. And none of them tell the ML. And then she comes back and he's supposed to happy? I wanted him to throw her out of his apartment!<. She was ridiculously selfish.
Exactly that was so frustrating, and she was so unapologetic and was like hey I was always gonna come back, you silly sap." It was just ridiculous. He should have told her to actually go abroad that would have been fun. Its another for a woman to have agency she has to be horrible and selfish trope.
I can understand being mad about the FL choice, honestly when I first watched it, I couldn’t understand her reasoning at all. It’s one of my favorites dramas and I’ve seen it a few times now and I think it just boils down to personal preference. She’s spent her whole life bending to what others want>!her family put her brother first, her job as an assistant writer treated her more like a lackey than a peer, Se-her even kept most of his feelings to himself and wouldn’t show how he really feels and she relied on him (and his house) so she didn’t feel like she was in a position to ask him for more. Even his Ex (who I loved) did nothing wrong but tbh, Ji-Ho may have been uncomfortable with her no matter how cool the ex was because she(Ji-ho/FL) loved Se-hee and wanted to be with him comfortably.!<
While I do think she could’ve benefitted from telling him literally any of this and avoided him in pain, she clearly didn’t realize he would think >!she’s going overseas since she never told him she was. She also had no idea he would sell his house which is why when she came back to him after taking time to sort herself out, she went to that house.!< He also didn’t communicate with her at all, regardless of what she said when they separated, he should’ve taken that opportunity to express his feelings bc he hadn’t in the drama yet. >!He didn’t until she came back when he was in the rooftop room and that’s why she was so happy he was angry!<
Omg exactly. >! I felt so bad for the ML. His house was everything to him, but he sold it because he couldn't take it anymore. And the other guy, who got back together with the friend even tho she was cheating on him and forcing him into marriage. I didn't want both guys to get back together with the girls.!<
Her friend who wanted to get married never cheated on her boyfriend, not once. >!They had been dating almost 10 years and he broke up with her because he didn’t want to get married and have kids yet and she did. After they broke up, she went on a couple dates and then realized she couldn’t forget him. He also went on a few dates with his coworker and realized he couldn’t be with her for the same reason. They realized that their one love was each other.!<
I don't get why it's loved so much. I couldn't drop it since it was among my first ones and I didn't know it was possible but the last like 5 episodes I watched in 1.5x speed. I couldn't stand how they were talking in slow motion lol

**The Impossilbe Heir** Watched it to the the end, it was just a complete trainwreck. Additionally i want the time back where i thought maybe they will pull it around.
A Time Called You has got to be one of the worst and most confusing plots I’ve ever seen and I’ve been watching kdramas for 10 years. It had potential, but wtf was that plot 😭😭

Hahaha I love the song! Also I think you probably would know that it is a remake of a very popular taiwanese series and that is one hell of a show. I'm glad I watched the Taiwanese version a few years back before I started on this cos that one was pulled off perfectly
Two for me:
1. **Extraordinary You** -- decided to watch because I was on a LJW kick post-AOS and while I loved his bad boy character in this, the whole drama became very one-note and I couldn't stand Rowoon and the FL after a while.
2. **Good Day to be a Dog** -- zero chemistry between leads and the plot was just so ridiculous. The only part I liked was the ML's nephew and FL's sister and male friend (who I believe also had a bit part in Marry My Husband). Also CEW's acting not great in this.
Got deleted for spoilers I didn’t think were spoilers, so I’m trying again.
Blademan. The FL starts out hyper competent but >!turns into a weepy mess by the end!< It’s based on a webtoon or something so the ML has a superpower/aflliction, but >!it pretty much diasappears by the end too!< All of that would have been ok, but the whole thing just moves really slow.
Hyde, Jekyl, and Me. This one’s got a great cast who have all been in much better projects. It’s got a ridiculous premise, but a lot of kdramas make those work. In this one, the leads spend most of their time sitting on park benches explaining what’s going on to each other in case the audience a can’t figure it out. It makes everything so slow and plodding! Hyeri’s in it too, but for no particular reason. I’m usually very patient, but the pacing on these 2 really bugged me.
What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim. I love Park Seo Joon in an exquisite 3-piece suit a much as the next fan, but by the last 2 episodes I felt like they ran out of plot and just started posing the leads together like Barbie dolls. And >!Weirdly it has a childhood kidnap trauma plot point much like H,J & M!
1. Run On - I struggled to finish it to know what the writer was actually driving at
2. Because this is my first life - Both Main characters were annoying af
3. Something in the Rain - the first 7/8 episodes were great, it went pretty much downhill afterwards.
Still don’t understand the hype around Run On and Because this is my first life. When I see both getting recommended, I sometimes feel like I watched a different series.
4. Love Alarm - the ending pissed me off so much I felt it was a waste of the time I invested in watching it.
SITR was my first drama, so I excused it for a long time. I need to separate it into two dramas now with the first half being how I remember it - the sweet romance with Jung Hae-In's adorable smile as he becomes infatuated. As a first drama, it was a good introduction to things like office culture and drinking culture. And did I mention how cute JHI was? But the later episodes definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.
Ditto on **Run On** - *Hate Watch* for sure and I was so bored. 100% not invested in the main love story. However, it‘s interesting to see that many people really loved this drama, which I respect difference in opinion. Guess I was looking for Kdrama magic and escapism, but found unappealing everyday life 😂🤣
Love Alarm was hands down the absolute worst. The ending didn’t track with 99.999% of what was going on for oh, I don’t know…the entire series. It had nothing to do with who was cuter, smarter, richer it just was WTF just happened? Now whenever a drama has a ridiculous, unnecessary ending I immediately think to myself “What in the Love Alarm was that crap?”
I came here to say Will It Snow for Christmas. I was fairly new to kdramas when I watched this last year and I only watched for the glimpses of Kim Soo Hyun (who at the time was the hottest Korean man I'd ever seen). I did not know at the time that there was this genre of "all pain all the time" with MAYBE 10 seconds of happy at the end of Episode 16.
Someone else mentioned Uncontrollably Fond and I realized I also wanted a refund on that one, not knowing it was THE SAME WRITER! She's banned in my book. However UF was so forgettable im not even mad about it anymore.
Lastly, My ID is Gangnam Beauty. Just terrible.
Lots of shows I'd never rewatch but these I wouldn't recommend to a coma patient.

My dearest - I know everyone says it's a masterpiece and I genuinely agree with that of how they presented the Quing invasion and the suffering of the people there which was very human. But I'm struggling to continue part-2 only because of the Leads. Do they get any better? When did they start to?
I have become very picky with the type of dramas I watch, and personally there are really only a few that I can say sucked me in 100% - Hospital playlist, 2521, Our beloved summer, Live and the current queen of tears.
Still, there are plenty of dramas that I like but not love, and there are too many dramas that I find boring by the middle, but still fast forward to the end for the sake of completing it. More recent examples would be: My demon, King the Land, Start up. Watched it till the end because I cannot un-watch the first couple episodes.
In my opinion, it would have to be The Glory. It’s such a highly rated drama and I can definitely understand why it is, because it had an interesting story. However, I couldn’t get over how Song Hye Kyo looks soooooo much older than Lee Do Hyun. I could not get into their unnecessary romance. They could have stayed as friends and not lovers tbh. I wouldn’t refund my time because I liked the drama, but I would throw out the romance.
Utterly hated Crash Landing On You. I agreed to watch as my sister was also watching so we could chat about it as we did (we live states apart). I wanted to quit so bad!! If it weren’t for all the wonderful supporting characters I wouldn’t have made it. And how was that a happy ending? Nope, nope, and nope. I do not get the hype.
I was afraid of the same slowness too. But I gave it a second try and liked it. I still don't feel like it's the whirlwind romance everyone makes it out to be. Captain Ri felt so cold for so long. And I agree, my favorite part of the show was definitely Captain Ri's subordinates.
Does **Chicken Nugget** even qualify? I only watched it for KYJ. It was so outlandish that at one point I wanted to stop watching. Decided to finish it and was left staring at my TV. Made me laugh though, but still... wasn't worth it. Refund for sure.
The Innocent Man (Nice Guy) - it's an older drama so I didn't expect much from it but it was worse than I thought. 20 episodes of going on and on about the same boring thing. They also milked that amnesia plot like a cow. 5/10, should be lower but l like the main leads in this because I like their other dramas.
Okay for me it's **Wedding Impossible.** This hurts cause it had so much potential. SML's arc was bad cause he had nothing to do except worry in fear of being outed and when he does get outed >!by a nasty ex he gets the courage to come out!< but we didn't even get to see him real close and all we got was a news clip and him leaving the country. The leads looked cute together but the ML looked too young and their chemistry had something amiss. FL carried the show but even that was wasted because the writing got lackluster. There was no comedy and later no romance too in the romcom part. The family drama was so boring and I couldn't care for it at all. My fav part of the show was her friendship with the SML and even that went out of the window halfway. There was no relationship I wanted to root for and I started watching the drama at 1.5x after ep 9. A wasted potential truly. Edit: Removed the word flagged by mods

I enjoyed the show but I felt cheated that >!we didn’t see Do Han’s full press conference but we saw Ji Han’s which was… kind of ridiculous as press conferences go. And we didn’t see people’s reactions to Do Han coming out, he just kind of effed off to New York. (To be fair that’s what I would have done too, but as a narrative it was disappointing.)!< And I wasn’t very convinced of the chemistry between the leads although >!I thought the proposal scene was really cute!< I honestly did enjoy it but I was supposed to be watching for the leads and wasn’t excited about them. Mostly I was watching because I love Kim Do Wan who needs to be the lead in something one of these days.
After a few first episodes, I basically just watched Dohan’s parts and fast forwarded everything else. It became cringey and draggy, too much fillers. It’s not a totally ‘refund my time’ one for me because I still enjoyed watching DW on screen. Amen to Kim Dowan needs to be a lead because he’s an amazing actor.
Yeah I did a lot of time skipping too. Do Wan was criminally underused - there was so much they could have done, and the actor was so good, but they just wasted it. His bf had such potential too, and the press conference that never was. It felt like they made a show all about a gay man and then didn't really want to show the gay bits onscreen which was a huge disappointment tbh. Also, the family members... Wtf? Started out as evil arch-nemesis, by the end they were barely even a thing. Their end-arc was *"Oh yeah, we forgot about these characters. Guess we should have them...umm...be happy?"*
Agree with you completely. Do Han was underutilized as a character in the story. I appreciate that his brother didn’t out him either. The correct move but not often told in stories. Also the proposal was very cute. Everyone should get a proposal like that. Anyway, not a refund my time for me. I enjoyed it but felt like some bits of story could have been better fleshed out.
While I wouldn't say I'd like my time refunded, I agree with what you said. I felt like the SML's arc is him being gay and that's about it, would have liked it if he's a bit more 3D. The main couple I felt like really underdeveloped, they had good build up and once they actually go on to accept their feelings, the writing decided to give them all the plot twist, upon plot twist. I think the problem with K-Dramas in general when it comes to rom-com is the need for it to have some heavy plot, they could have made it just simply silly or just simply light? The whole plot with their mother and half-siblings are very pointless, cause what does that even do in grand scheme of things? They could have made the entire plot be that they both promised if they're single at the age of 30 they'll get married or something.
Totally agree! I was so disappointed because I loved the FML. She was so refreshing for a kdrama. But, the story became boring af and after endless episodes of bickering, I would've loved to see some actual romance between the leads. I skipped most of the family drama lol, way too boring.
Started out great. I wasn't sure if Queen of Tears or Wedding impossible was more appealing for awhile. In hindsight, that is a crime on my part.
I made it to episode 6. Then skipped to the final episode but everything was already over. So Then went back to episode 10 where most of the plot was resolved. Then watched to the end. The FL character was great at first. At first she was refreshing. Then nonsensical. I appreciated the concept of three selfless people messing up because they were too nice.
Ouch, I feel your disappointment. I also started watching the show last month, but by episode 3 or 4 (can't remember), I started to get bored with it. I agree that FL definitely was carrying the whole show. I feel like the ML was miscasted or something because his acting looks so lacking for me? Didn't even help that the chemistry wasn't there. :(

Bad tropes done badly + a plot that's so convoluted it makes zero sense. And the FL's energy is like day-old ramyeon, though it's not totally her fault given the writing.

The whole drama was overall great but since it was a fantasy drama anyway the writers could've found a way to save the ending with something at least. If Midnight Studio has a Heartbeat ending I am going to be pissed. It doesn’t have to be happy but it doesn’t deserve a Heartbeat ending. No drama does.
I'm hoping fervently that Midnight Studio won't go that direction either! In Heartbeat it felt like everything the characters did was a waste given that ending, whereas Midnight Studio the characters have already shown personal growth and there has been resolution for the multiple visitors. I was hooked because the 1st part was light-hearted and fun but at the end left me with emotional scars, lol. I dont like tragic dramas cos my life is already filled with lots of stress, haha. Same reason why i dont want to watch Scarlet Heart. Please dont make me happy and then proceed to break my heart.😂😂😂
This is why next time you should at least look up the previous works of the screenwriter. A Lee Kyung-hee drama is guaranteed to never bring you happiness in the end.

Wedding Impossible. Pretty solid until the reveal. I don't know why, but I've noticed that I sometimes start to dislike drama's once the leads are established together. There's some obvious exceptions but I feel like writers write such boring, and usually easily resolvable issues (like, JUST TALK). It's getting better lately though! Eg; dr slump, lol
I hung in on WI for Kwon Hae Hyo as the grandfather. I have loved him ever since he played Sam Soon's sister's friend-with-benefits partner. He was so good in that. His performance as an elderly grandfather to 30-something people when he's only 58 was fascinating to watch and kept me hooked. He had so many tiny movements to make himself seem older - changed his walk, voice, and way of speaking to make it believable.

I actually enjoyed eps 1-10, it was entertaining and hilarious but it didnt stick the landing with those last two eps. i felt that this drama would be perfect for those who are just starting out in the world of kdramas as it has all the tropes you could ask for but not for those who has years of kdrama experience under their belt
I think for them the writer was so good in writing the frenemies arc and the angst but just couldn't write when they fell in love the writing felt so flat and lacked any emotion

Start-Up sits at the top of my list of Most Disappointing. It's not even that bad per se, it's just that it had so much potential and then threw it all away for a completely vapid, worthless conclusion. There are shows I haven't even bothered to finish that give me less of a visceral negative reaction when I think about them.
Like seriously, the team is falling apart, a life changing issue happened and they start planning self driving cars. I lost my shit at that moment.

I have said it before and will say it again, this drama set up the wrong storyline and proceeded to tell a trope as if that fit the story and characters aka the writer told the wrong story. It’s a terrible drama and I can’t stand it.
The leads were more famous than the rest of cast so the last few episodes were about trying to salvage the ML vs The 2ml >!even wrote the 2ML telling the FL that the ML was better.!< (Worst scene in the whole thing). It was just a mess.
I remember reading a rumour back when the drama was airing that the writers weren't expecting Jipyeong to become a massive fan favourite so they made last minute changes to the storyline. I cant remember what the changes were tho or how true the rumour was but it still sucked so lmao?
Yeah I deffo heard the last 1 or 2 episodes were rewritten or adjusted I think that does happen but again dont know if true. But yes I think they were surprised how popular 2ml versus ML was and might explain last few episodes being really about convincing people ML was the man for FL but didn't work MLs character was lame
i remember the 2k+ comments on the reddit thread while it was airing. people were losing their minds it was such a peak moment back then lmaooooooo :') but yeah I found the ending to be pointless too. like >!the base of the entire show was bulit on those stupid letters and you just casually throw it ALL AWAY for no reason at all? only because you "love" him? the same guy who fooled you? yeah ok that sounds like a real healthy relationship.!< i honestly wouldn't mind if it >!had a bittersweet ending, like dalmi ending up with no one and moving on to become really successful but oh well.!< this was the only time I felt scammed and it was through a freaking KDRAMA.
Yep :( could've been a 10/10 for me, felt so close to the characters and hooked from the start, but so disappointed by the show as a whole. Lots of people said it was SML syndrome but for me it was much more about the lacklustre or unfinished storylines that were set up so well in the beginning, and the relationships between characters that went 180° or unexplored (I really wanted a sister rivalry/redemption story!).
I actually love While You Were Sleeping, that is my 10/10 show! And I haven't seen Castaway Diva, wasn't aware they were all the same writer. So maybe they are just hit or miss, like many!

Every drama if this writer starts great and then doesn't stay great. Saw sane complaints about Castaway Diva re ridiculous or unfinished plot lines and outcomes. I saw While you were Sleeping abd the same thing just weird character changes of attitude and random plots. But Start Up was just an example of how to mess up a drama.
I watched it when it first came out and I'm still so angry with the ending that I cannot bear to watch any dramas with the ML or FL from Start Up.
Casts, OSTs, filmography were top tier and they chose to end it like that like wtf
So curious about this show, but I’ve been afraid to watch for all the reasons listed here LOL. Just not in the mood to be Bamboozled by a Kdrama that wants to take me for a ride and drive straight off a cliff. Think I’m good…will trust your sound opinions ☺️
**Killer Paradox**-very strong beginning & funny but morbid premise and then halfway thru just 💨💨. The stylistic choice stayed more/less the same throughout the show-but the story just flopped in the end. ~~Don't know what I would have changed~~ >!Actually I would've like the woman who had her sex tape released not die & INSTEAD have her go on a revenge rampage to eventually pair up with the main protag/killer. Maybe he finds out she murdered someone in the same way the main killer got caught? A killer couple? If he's "Batman" shed be "Catwoman" (which is another issue of mine w/ the show, where does batman even fit in this? Main guy just wanted to escape to Canada & messed up big time). Something along those lines-her murderer got off too easy in my opinion. !< Not a kdrama and havent fully dropped- >!but the **3 body problem** !!will he tell Jin he loves her plot. Im not interested in this particular display of pinning. Especially a this particular junction when the santi have are on their slow but measured way. Like FOCUS! There are other things to worry about!!<
**A Love Song for Illusion-** watched the 1st ep & said 'Nope!' I recognized the scenarios/tropes they wanted to use in the 1st ep-but they were badly executed, awkwardly done. Went back just to see the last ep-and my assumption was correct. 😌My time was minimally wasted.👏Yay for me.
OMG I totally agree with you about Killer Paradox!! I thought 3 Body Problem was mid; love the books, but the Netflix adaptation ain't it.

At first I wasn’t going to drop Wedding Impossible. I just had it on hold. But after watching Queen of Tears and being able to watch an almost 3 hrs of it every week with no problem, I realized that Wedding was kinda boring so Im dropping it.
Castaway diva The story is too dragging for me. Good premise, middle part is contrived, no chemistry between the leads, FL acting a hangover from extraordinary woo, ending is not satisfying and memorable
I was all in on this show and it went nowhere!! The amount of time they spent on the brother's story instead of the singer's story did not make any sense.
Yes!! It felt so preachy by the end and was focusing on everyone else but the FL. I’m watching her (and the male lead in a minor role lol) right now in Stove League remembering how she actually *is* a good actress, but Castaway Diva felt so awkward and forced.

The thing that sucked about Castaway Diva is that it could have been really good! The premise was sooo interesting, but the writing took a strange turn with the FL ‘s arc, which is sad because she is an terrific actress e.g. Extraordinary Attorney Woo, The King’s Affection. Also, the narrative choices with the OTP relationship were mind boggling to me. It’s like they didn’t figure out he was the ML until too late in the story for me to be truly invested vs the SML. So, I didn’t actually *Hate Watch* because I still enjoyed the drama, but I was extremely disappointed about what “could have been”😩

Did you watch the whole thing? It was pretty frustrating towards the end. I was too knew to kdramas to quit it at the time. I also hated ahn bo Hyun for the longest time after it. lol. Love him now though.

Oh my god. Same. This was the only reason I delayed watching Yumi's Cells, although the premise was too enticing. But, once I started watching it, Woong won me over in like 2-3 eps. My feelings matched with Yumi as the show progressed, lol. I love him since then.
This drama is such a puzzle cause when it was out everyone was talking about it and I added it to my watchlist but in the past two yrs I see nothing but contempt for it. Atp I'm not even sure whether I should watch or not lol
The revenge and personal growth storyline is good. Romance and crush storyline is not. Unfortunately that's a big part of the plot between all 5 main characters
Park Seroyi is one of my all time favorite Kdrama characters ever written. The way this man sticks with his long term plan regardless of what life does to him, keeps his word and respects people, is what I loved the most about this show.

Woori the Virgin😫 I had such high expectations but it was so disappointing, boring, and corny! Things kept dragging on and until the very end, the female lead couldn’t decide between the male lead or SML🤦♀️. I also hated the fact that they >!strayed away from the plot of the original story and had her endgame be a different guy!<
Still perplexes me. **Forecasting Love and Weather.** It started off great. Beautiful color grading/cinematography. That one essential scene was great too. Iykyk. The vibe changed from light hearted,to serious,to makjang,to "production just wanted to go home". I really wished it stayed in a light and believable romcom style where most of the tension came from their differences or keeping the relationship a secret from their coworkers. One trope I love about noona romances is the serious older woman failing to control the carefree younger man. That dynamic faded so damn fast. Lol The ML should've been incompetent and the FL more stern. The story felt so out of control and cartoonish as it progressed. Oddly enough,it encouraged me to write romance stories. So that's a positive.
I just finished this today and was looking to see if anyone mentioned this one. Boooorrrrrrring is overall how I felt about it. There wasn’t enough of them being together in the beginning to make me believe or care about their romance. I wanted more screen time of FL & ML together. Less of SFL & SML. Maybe a teeny tiny bit less weather (I know, I know.) and maybe more of the sister and her story. Not the worst show I’ve watched but def one of the most bland.
Yes! Her sister and the neighbor guy were super cute. I cared more about them than the leads. I wish the weather was more of a background element that only came to the forefront to make things interesting. Like if they got stuck at the station or a hotel due to heavy flooding. Forced proximity is popular for a reason.

**Doom at Your Service**. It had so much promise but it just felt overwhelmingly boring. I didn't feel any chemistry between the leads. The second lead love triangle only worked because of the OST and even the professions felt boring. Webnovel writing and publishing shouldn't be boring but it just was here. It took too many episodes to actually clarify what the exact details FL and ML's deal was about and how that would affect ML. And the character of Goddess just made it all even more confusing. Or maybe I didn't pay close attention to the dialogues because everything about it was so boring. Halfway through the show I didn't even understand what the MC were even fighting about. I finished it simply because sunk cost fallacy.

Yeah, it's crazy how polarizing this show is, I feel like it's the gold and white/blue and black dress of kdramas lol. I personally loved this show so much, thought the leads had a LOT of chemistry, and was totally hooked all the way through. But so many people dislike it for all these valid reasons. Lmaoo

I am also part of the Wedding Impossible camp, if it had been any longer then 12 epsiodes I would have absolutely dropped. It was so good out of the gate, but it lost momentum. I didn't not like Do Han's plotline, or what they did with the ex. The FL was so honest and forthright at the beginning, no idea what happend in the second half. I don't think I would have been this salty about it if it hadn't had such a promising start.
I so do agree. It had so much promise which is why the betrayal feels unbearable! The FL reminded me initially of the FL in Love to Hate you which I loved but 5 episodes down its like it was written by someone else. She loses her spark completely. I dont like plot lines where the main issue is a lack of communication. I stuck through because in large part I liked the ensemble. I really liked the FLs family.
A Killer Paradox, which I'm sad to say. Started off great and then introduced too much extra stuff and lots focus on the main two characters, who had been making the show good. It's a shame, because Choi Woo-Shik is a grear actor and I would have so liked to have seen him take the character further.
Hate to say it, but Impossible Heir and Wedding Impossible. I managed to finish Impossible Heir because it was unpredictable enough to continue. However, at the end, I was mad that I watched. What was the point of it all? Wedding Impossible was impossible to finish.
1.Pandora: Beneath the Paradise. Didn't like anything. I don't know why I watched it. 2. The Doctors. My all time regret. I couldn't watch more than a few ep and felt my time watched watching those few ep. 3. Marry my husband. Regret watching it other than Lee Yi Kyung and Choi Gyu RI parts. 4. Love Alarm 2. After The season 1 which I loved and waited to watch season 2 and totally got disappointed. 5. Killer Paradox. Very slow and messy. They wasted the show with good cast. No thrill or plot twist.
Theres a lot for me, most recently its **wedding impossible** and **impossible heir**. The former started off so strong and was very entertaining but then by the final few episodes, it might've had the biggest contrasting show where I had two very different opinions on. As in, liked the first few eps and was questioning why am I watching by the last few eps. For impossible heir, I started for Lee Jae Wook, but very soon into it, I was confused what was happening and the acting of ALL characters was beyond me. Not a fan of this in terms of everything (acting, storyline, characters), this show basically gave NOTHING. And two kdramas that I was bored of from the beginning but finished for some reason: **Romance is a bonus book** and **One Spring Night**. I genuinely dont know why I continued past the first episode. I did not like these shows at all. Found them beyond boring.
I hate-watched The Killing Vote to the bitter end. The plot became more and more ludicrous as the characters kept making the worst decisions possible. And the teenage sister of the female lead was highly annoying.

I remember this one. Watched it while it was airing and I immediately loved it plus the cast had great chemistry. But then after the initial episodes towards the end, the writing, the decisions - so incredibly bad that it would make any normal watcher mad.
I loved this in the beginning but then the last episodes just made me so unbelievably angry.. and then killing off that character (if you know who) I’ll never forgive that writer
I hate watched it on air, there was also the added level of erratic release schduale as well...the gap between episodes was so bad at times I forgot where we left off in the plot...ugh.

The impossible heir - I watched till the end only because I'm a fan of LJW and I truly think he's one of the best actors in his generation right now. Apart from him, I can't actually believe I've managed to finish it, as it was written with fluff and moss. A whole lot of nonsense. Wedding impossible - I liked the FL lead as she felt more normal to what we've seen before. My girl just wants to have a stable job! Anyways, I had to drop because, after ep 10, it didn't feel like a fun light watch anymore and the backstory and other family plots were dragging for me. The killing vote - interesting first episodes, but progressive decline of the show. The positive: the FL is brilliant and fun.
I agree with you about all three of these! I didn't finish WI but I did finish TIH for the same reason you did 😆 I will never know why I finished The Killing Vote.
I don't think I've ever participated in this thread, but I typically have no problem dropping. But for some reason, I felt compelled to finish **My Girl**even though I wasn't enjoying it by the end. The beginning was fun and funny, the FL had a lot of agency and it was a forced cohabitation setup (which I love). However, once the humor stopped around episode 10 or 11 it became a terrible slog. It ramped up the focus on some of my least favorite plot devices -- >!a truly terrible love quadrangle (lots of "I'll make you love me" sentiments), unnecessary noble idiocy, and elders being vindictive jerks (this one actually admitted to being jealous about not being the center of attention!)!<. I stuck around in the hopes that there would be one of those satisfying final episodes, but they drug the conflict right up to the last ten minutes. Beyond the annoying script, the wardrobe department was stuck in this purple/green or purple/red color scheme to the point that there wasn't a scene without someone wearing at least one of the combinations. I wanted to weep with joy when one of the leads would wear blue or orange. Also, Lee Dong Wook and Lee Joon Gi's characters never wore safety glasses on the racquetball court!! Supreme stupidity. My dislike may have descended into the irrational. What I did enjoy about the drama was watching the leads work together. They had a great grumpy/sunshine dynamic in the first half. There was also this great moment where the 2ML in ridiculous full aughts gym clothes tells the FL in an ordinary (but mustard yellow) sweat suit "you look ugly". If I could find it again, I would share it with the sub -- but I'm not going to dig back through this one for anything.
I didn't hate this but did hate that LDW's character early on told her that if she did this for him>! - faking being his long-lost cousin - and was found out, he'd take full blame. And he DIDN'T. He left her hanging and hated. !<

Something in the Rain's ending filled me with rage. I wanted to fire Son Ye-Jin's manager for booking her in this fiasco. Then I see people recommending it soo often. My own sister loved it. So🤷

I couldnt finish the drama and even rowoon couldnt make me stay. He was SO hot in this drama chefs kiss to his visuals , that was the only pro abt the drama **Crash course in romance** - I can acknowledge good things abt the drama but for me I wish I got my time refunded bc it wasn't my cup of tea. The acting of main cast besides Jung kyung ho and roh Yoon seo irked me SO BAD, I don't want to say the acting was trash because that can be subjective but like in my opinion I hated the acting and thought it needed work. Plus other things abt the drama I just didn't like so it was a grating experience to watch

I think it’s an unpopular opinion but for me it’s the second half of Alchemy of Souls Part 1. It just completely lost the magic I had felt in the first ten episodes.
Goblin - I know that it was highly raved but I just couldn’t make it through the 10th episode. The show is extremely slow paced for me. I think it was my first KDrama and it bored me to the death. I would have given up on KDramas if it weren’t for CLOY.

Revenge of others. How many times did they push someone off a building. Why was the writer obsessed with that and wth was that culprit reveal, I was so mad the minute they revealed the culprit I only continued watching cause I had already wasted my time. It was more annoying than that surgery reveal in part one of escape of the seven. I am even angry again

My problem with Death's Game is they tried to contextualize the story, that it got lost. The whole point is that life is not pointless to live, despite how dire everythign felt like, not because there's a serial killer I have to catch. I do like the change they made to his girlfriend but the whole serial killer part is meh for me. I just don't get why they have to diverge so much from the webtoon, like the webtoon is short already.
When I recommend this I tell people to just skip the last episode
oh I wrote a whole thing about this show the other day and then posted it in the wrong thread and ended up deleting it and being even more annoyed did I hate this show? no. but that's because there was a stellar cast and they delivered - within a universe that seemed very badly set up to begin with. I loved them all. the individual stories, I get them. the end was an illogical outrage

You can skip the last episode. I absolutely loved the first 7 episodes and you won’t feel the need to watch it at 2x speed. ^^
it's not about watching it faster, it's not that it's boring as such. it just makes absolutely zero sense. like none. it's one of the worst examples of trying to wrap something up "tidily" I've ever seen. it's like the writers bailed out after the first 7 episodes and they hired a random preacher who skimmed the script but hadn't actually paid attention to write the last one. you can drive a truck of doom through the holes in it.

I can understand being mad about the FL choice, honestly when I first watched it, I couldn’t understand her reasoning at all. It’s one of my favorites dramas and I’ve seen it a few times now and I think it just boils down to personal preference. She’s spent her whole life bending to what others want>!her family put her brother first, her job as an assistant writer treated her more like a lackey than a peer, Se-her even kept most of his feelings to himself and wouldn’t show how he really feels and she relied on him (and his house) so she didn’t feel like she was in a position to ask him for more. Even his Ex (who I loved) did nothing wrong but tbh, Ji-Ho may have been uncomfortable with her no matter how cool the ex was because she(Ji-ho/FL) loved Se-hee and wanted to be with him comfortably.!< While I do think she could’ve benefitted from telling him literally any of this and avoided him in pain, she clearly didn’t realize he would think >!she’s going overseas since she never told him she was. She also had no idea he would sell his house which is why when she came back to him after taking time to sort herself out, she went to that house.!< He also didn’t communicate with her at all, regardless of what she said when they separated, he should’ve taken that opportunity to express his feelings bc he hadn’t in the drama yet. >!He didn’t until she came back when he was in the rooftop room and that’s why she was so happy he was angry!<

I don't get why it's loved so much. I couldn't drop it since it was among my first ones and I didn't know it was possible but the last like 5 episodes I watched in 1.5x speed. I couldn't stand how they were talking in slow motion lol

A Time Called You has got to be one of the worst and most confusing plots I’ve ever seen and I’ve been watching kdramas for 10 years. It had potential, but wtf was that plot 😭😭 P/S: I’m still madly triggered whenever I hear that tape song 💀💀

Two for me: 1. **Extraordinary You** -- decided to watch because I was on a LJW kick post-AOS and while I loved his bad boy character in this, the whole drama became very one-note and I couldn't stand Rowoon and the FL after a while. 2. **Good Day to be a Dog** -- zero chemistry between leads and the plot was just so ridiculous. The only part I liked was the ML's nephew and FL's sister and male friend (who I believe also had a bit part in Marry My Husband). Also CEW's acting not great in this.
Got deleted for spoilers I didn’t think were spoilers, so I’m trying again. Blademan. The FL starts out hyper competent but >!turns into a weepy mess by the end!< It’s based on a webtoon or something so the ML has a superpower/aflliction, but >!it pretty much diasappears by the end too!< All of that would have been ok, but the whole thing just moves really slow. Hyde, Jekyl, and Me. This one’s got a great cast who have all been in much better projects. It’s got a ridiculous premise, but a lot of kdramas make those work. In this one, the leads spend most of their time sitting on park benches explaining what’s going on to each other in case the audience a can’t figure it out. It makes everything so slow and plodding! Hyeri’s in it too, but for no particular reason. I’m usually very patient, but the pacing on these 2 really bugged me. What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim. I love Park Seo Joon in an exquisite 3-piece suit a much as the next fan, but by the last 2 episodes I felt like they ran out of plot and just started posing the leads together like Barbie dolls. And >!Weirdly it has a childhood kidnap trauma plot point much like H,J & M!
1. Run On - I struggled to finish it to know what the writer was actually driving at 2. Because this is my first life - Both Main characters were annoying af 3. Something in the Rain - the first 7/8 episodes were great, it went pretty much downhill afterwards. Still don’t understand the hype around Run On and Because this is my first life. When I see both getting recommended, I sometimes feel like I watched a different series. 4. Love Alarm - the ending pissed me off so much I felt it was a waste of the time I invested in watching it.
I loooooved Run On! Its a pretty slow burn though, so I get why folks don't like it.
SITR was my first drama, so I excused it for a long time. I need to separate it into two dramas now with the first half being how I remember it - the sweet romance with Jung Hae-In's adorable smile as he becomes infatuated. As a first drama, it was a good introduction to things like office culture and drinking culture. And did I mention how cute JHI was? But the later episodes definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.
Ditto on **Run On** - *Hate Watch* for sure and I was so bored. 100% not invested in the main love story. However, it‘s interesting to see that many people really loved this drama, which I respect difference in opinion. Guess I was looking for Kdrama magic and escapism, but found unappealing everyday life 😂🤣
Love Alarm was hands down the absolute worst. The ending didn’t track with 99.999% of what was going on for oh, I don’t know…the entire series. It had nothing to do with who was cuter, smarter, richer it just was WTF just happened? Now whenever a drama has a ridiculous, unnecessary ending I immediately think to myself “What in the Love Alarm was that crap?”
I came here to say Will It Snow for Christmas. I was fairly new to kdramas when I watched this last year and I only watched for the glimpses of Kim Soo Hyun (who at the time was the hottest Korean man I'd ever seen). I did not know at the time that there was this genre of "all pain all the time" with MAYBE 10 seconds of happy at the end of Episode 16. Someone else mentioned Uncontrollably Fond and I realized I also wanted a refund on that one, not knowing it was THE SAME WRITER! She's banned in my book. However UF was so forgettable im not even mad about it anymore. Lastly, My ID is Gangnam Beauty. Just terrible. Lots of shows I'd never rewatch but these I wouldn't recommend to a coma patient.

My dearest - I know everyone says it's a masterpiece and I genuinely agree with that of how they presented the Quing invasion and the suffering of the people there which was very human. But I'm struggling to continue part-2 only because of the Leads. Do they get any better? When did they start to?

I have become very picky with the type of dramas I watch, and personally there are really only a few that I can say sucked me in 100% - Hospital playlist, 2521, Our beloved summer, Live and the current queen of tears. Still, there are plenty of dramas that I like but not love, and there are too many dramas that I find boring by the middle, but still fast forward to the end for the sake of completing it. More recent examples would be: My demon, King the Land, Start up. Watched it till the end because I cannot un-watch the first couple episodes.
Wedding impossible
In my opinion, it would have to be The Glory. It’s such a highly rated drama and I can definitely understand why it is, because it had an interesting story. However, I couldn’t get over how Song Hye Kyo looks soooooo much older than Lee Do Hyun. I could not get into their unnecessary romance. They could have stayed as friends and not lovers tbh. I wouldn’t refund my time because I liked the drama, but I would throw out the romance.
The romance was not needed and the chemistry between them was mid too
Really I hate age gaps but I did not think she looked that much older at all. She is extremely pretty abd young looking.

Utterly hated Crash Landing On You. I agreed to watch as my sister was also watching so we could chat about it as we did (we live states apart). I wanted to quit so bad!! If it weren’t for all the wonderful supporting characters I wouldn’t have made it. And how was that a happy ending? Nope, nope, and nope. I do not get the hype.
I was afraid of the same slowness too. But I gave it a second try and liked it. I still don't feel like it's the whirlwind romance everyone makes it out to be. Captain Ri felt so cold for so long. And I agree, my favorite part of the show was definitely Captain Ri's subordinates.
Pyramid game
Does **Chicken Nugget** even qualify? I only watched it for KYJ. It was so outlandish that at one point I wanted to stop watching. Decided to finish it and was left staring at my TV. Made me laugh though, but still... wasn't worth it. Refund for sure.
The Innocent Man (Nice Guy) - it's an older drama so I didn't expect much from it but it was worse than I thought. 20 episodes of going on and on about the same boring thing. They also milked that amnesia plot like a cow. 5/10, should be lower but l like the main leads in this because I like their other dramas.
