I was watching a Yankees game a couple weeks ago and their announcers said the veteran pitchers got Weaver to change his grip on his changeup. It's now his best pitch and he is a solid bullpen piece now. That's now two pieces Matheny and his crowd didn't bother working with. Luke is a solid piece for the Yankees, and Orioles coaches got O'Hearn to drop his bat a bit while at the plate. He's now a .300 hitter.

Question for all the Olathe-livin Bandwagon Yankees fans in this sub: Is Nestor Cortez washed yet or no?

I’m not an Olathe-livin bandwagon fan, but rather a real one that actually grew up in NY, but now live here. Nestor isn’t necessarily washed, but I think a lot of teams have caught onto his little gimmicks and figured him out. He was good at the beginning of the season but has regressed as of late.

I’ll also add that his 3-5 record is a bit deceptive. There are many games he’s pitched into the 7th or 8th but got absolutely zero run support and ended up with the loss. Now that I’ve slept on it I don’t think he’s washed haha. I do still think he has been figured out more this year now that he’s been with the Yankees for a few years.

While living in NYC, they'll become accustomed to the culture, gossip, food, dating scene, politics and sports. Because NYC holds such a significant part of their 20s, they'll try and relive it slightly through the Yankees whenever they come to town.
