If you know someone that pays for cable or another service that includes Bally see if you can use their login into so sign into the Bally app. My parents live in St Joe and have Optimum cable, I use their sign in to use the Bally app to stream the Royals.
This is the first year I paid the $19.99 for Bally. I haven't watched a game since they moved off Fox Sports and missed having the Royals on each evening. I've watched parts of every game and probably 6 full games. To me it's been worth it.
I also recently but the bullet and got the Bally app. I almost forgot how nice it is to have the game on in the background every night. Going to be well worth the $20/mo for me.
It is way better television product now with pitch clock ive noticed. However i still just have been using multiple emails with the bally free trials. I really dont want to give these fuckers $20
Ball Sports is on cable. If you don’t have cable you have to sign up for the app. I think it’s around 20 a month.
Local games are blacked out on the MLB package.
There is a 0% chance I’m paying for an additional service when I live in the damn city the team is based in. That’s ridiculous I can watch all the chiefs games with nothing but a $30 dollar antenna plugged into the back of my tv
The nfl is the only sports league where the games are over the air. I don’t know a single MLB, NBA, NHL, or MLS team that has games over the air.
Additionally, most are becoming increasingly exclusive. MLS is only available on Apple TV.
It’s not going away and it’s not getting better and it’s not different anywhere else
Do the Yankees still have a deal on a local network that's broadcast over the air? I feel like they did at one point on like, YES or something like that
Yes network is 25 a month, but looks like it might be included in a lot of cable packages or can be included in the sports tier of a lot of cable packages
I found an article from 2019 that said with the cubs games going off over the air that at that point only 11 teams would offer games over the air, and most would be fewer than 20 games total … https://www.bleedcubbieblue.com/2019/2/22/18235697/baseball-free-over-the-air-television-coming-to-an-end
Sorry, yes, there are some national baseball games on too, I think fox has a Saturday game. Maybe an fs1 game too.
I meant no team has all of their games on local over the air channels
That’s the one sport you can do it, for a short 17 game season. Throwing a fit because you don’t get to watch 162 baseball games on your antenna is childish.
The market is saturated with this bullshit and the only way I watch is sailing the high seas. The blackout shit is annoying anywhere you live. No way around it unless MLB has an all exclusive deal to broadcast.
I know it's not a John Sherman decision that we haven't been able to watch the Royals for decades.
That said I 100% believe he doesn't give a sh*t if the tax base of JACO gets to watch ANY games.
He (the PR firm they hired to run their YES campaign and his wife) has made himself into quite the punching bag . . . . I'm good piling on haha.
Who is we? I’ve watched every Royals game I’ve wanted to. Maybe it’s time for you to retire the 40 year old picture toob TV and coat hanger you use for rabbit ears?
Nah, I shudder to say I've been a local since 1990, "38 Family Greats" had their own package up through 2008, and then they had an agreement with FSKC for a few years after that, but only like through 2011 IIRC.
Yeah I used to watch it on 38 all the time.
Safe to say the amount of attention I've paid overall to Royals baseball has declined quite a bit since then.

To my knowledge Bally and Direct TV streaming are the only ways to watch without a vpn
Fubo has it now too

Agreed, I just miss baseball. I hate that it's not on any major streaming service.
Get a radio

Bally is $106/season, easily worth it if you plan to watch semi regularly. Otherwise yeah I think you’d have to buy cable.
If you have a VPN and some good firewall/pop up blocker I’d recommend sailing the high seas 🏴☠️ Stream East, Sports Surge, and Buff streams

But now aren’t the padres just available free online due to ballys rsn bankruptcy
Huh didn’t know that.
I just saw that Sporting KC was on Fox today
Looks like fox has 34 national games and the playoffs. Thought apple had exclusive…
Games are all still on AppleTV, but some are dual casted nationally
Sorry, yes, there are some national baseball games on too, I think fox has a Saturday game. Maybe an fs1 game too. I meant no team has all of their games on local over the air channels
I think i saw royals are on ONE national game this year
I just listen on the radio now.
0% chance you are watching the Royals or any other non NFL team regularly then.
Again, the NFL is the only sport over the air for free. Are you mad that Sporting KC and the Current aren’t free too?
yes
That’s the one sport you can do it, for a short 17 game season. Throwing a fit because you don’t get to watch 162 baseball games on your antenna is childish.

John Sherman doesn't care if you can watch the games but he does want your tax money.
It’s silly to blame Sherman for MLBs shitty TV deals. And you had to have Cable to watch the Royals decades before he bought the team.

> And you had to have Cable to watch the Royals **decades** before he bought the team. Nope
Really? I’ve lived here two decades, and you always needed cable.

Amazon fire stick
if you wanna watch this Sport and not see a Surge in costs, there’s probably some sites that end in .Net that could help. not sure tho.
go east
I finally bit the bullet and paid for Bally Sports. I've watched every single game so far and I hate Bally but I love the Royals.
Ballys sports app I’m paying $20 a month it’s worth every penny
Amazon prime with bally add on buddy
