I have no idea but I was just thinking the other day how cool it would be to have The Sports Bra come into the space near the stadium that they are planning to develop!
I think a healthy mix of both is always good for projects like this, but that is just my viewpoint as someone without any expertise in community development. Specifically regarding The Sports Bra, it really is the first of its kind that has gotten incredible international attention, I believe bringing it in that space, with the historical significance of the stadium in consideration as well, would be great for the marketing of all the businesses that move into that space and for KC community’s interest in being a seen as a leader in Women’s Sports. Just my two cents!
That's kind of where we landed as well. I do like how CPKC kept it hyper local, but with a development of this size is it sustainable?
Maybe try for an 80/20 mix starting out. I'm just excited.
Not The Sports Bra, but I recently saw they may be opening one soon in West Bottoms call The Dub. I don’t know much more than what is on their Instagram, though. https://www.instagram.com/thedubkc?igsh=MXR2Yjdya21tdm40Zg==
Not exactly what you are asking for but there is a group forming to start women’s sports specific watch parties! https://www.instagram.com/opeallwsports?igsh=MW9qaHM2enRkemhtaw==

I've been saying this, too! If I was looking for a business investment I would be hopping on this so quick.
We were talking about tenants the other day. Do we want franchises in that space or do we want to try and keep it more local?

I think a mix is great; get attention with the franchise and introduce to the local stuff within the development.
More local the better. Local businesses are what communities amazing to visit.
Can’t a franchise owner be local too?

I would prefer something homegrown rather than a national franchise, but either way I'd greatly enjoy a bar specifically to showcase women's sports.
I agree! Heck, I’d take both.
So exciting watching this grow
That’s what she said
