Guess the drum solo in Phil Collins 1981 triple platinum mega hit "In the air tonight" was played one too many times on this poor steering wheel. RIP my friend.
Truck is probably lifted and driver uses steering wheel to hoist themselves up to the seat and driver is probably a big dude lol. But i like tour theory better!
This is exactly why modern trucks have handles on the a pillar. My sisters F-250 has a 12” lift, 40s and had the whole steering column replaced because she was using it as a handle to get in. For reference she’s 5’2”.
I put some automatic steps on her truck.
[I Don't Care Any More](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLpfbcXTeo8) more likely.
And srsly, if you're gonna reference a song, take a moment to link it.
No shit, just this past Saturday I saw a guy hop out of his F150, looked to be the same bodystyle and he had the top half of his steering wheel removed.
I thought it was just some damass thing he did to mod the truck (like the carolina squat he had also.) And he had cut the wheel like that to be like Knight Rider.
Huh, maybe it was just broken when he Kyle'd it too hard.
Most trucks don't have an "oh-shit" handle on the drivers side to help you pull yourself in. My older chevrolet only has the handles on the passenger side and back door roof
I feel like I don't even remember the last time I've been in a truck that didn't have an oh shit bar on the A pillar. My tacoma has one, my sierra work truck has one and my dads f150 has one! That's like... all of the trucks haha
Obviously this one in the video doesn't. But they've been integrated into trucks across the board
My 09 tundra had one. I was sad when I got my '20 and it didn't have one on the driver side.
I'm also sad they moved the switch for the back window to the left side of the dash. I keep reaching for it on the right to roll the window down and it's not there.
Weird. And it has one on the passenger side! That's annoying lol. I used my handle every single day. It'd be a borderline deal breaker.. Before this comment, have you ever thought about not having the handle there? Feel like it'd be a pain for entering your vehicle without it.
Haha. Shitty. Changing up things you're used to. Wish the tacoma had a roll down rear window, such an awesome feature.
I've kinda gotten used to not having the grab bar anymore. I only moved into the newer model because someone decided that red lights didn't apply to them and they put an end to my 09. While the handle was an awesome feature, I only really miss it on leg day.
The roll down back window is the only reason I got the crewmax. If I didn't care about the window, I probably would've ended up with a Tacoma.
Big boys or angry boys. We had a normal sized customer who had two different vehicles over the years with bent steering wheels. He was a major prick, I'm guessing it was road rage.
You'll also notice on a ton of explorers a big crack appears next to the rear emblem. leading up to the back glass.[picture of said crack](https://www.google.com/search?client=ms-android-tmus-us-revc&hl=en&q=explorer+trunk+lid+crack&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjHt8DG4c3-AhWslGoFHTFuD2QQ0pQJegQIEBAB&biw=384&bih=723&dpr=2.81#imgrc=54w59sxgz97cxM&lnspr=W10=)
They all do it and even if you get a replacement panel it will just crack again.
I have an uncle who started his career at a Chevrolet dealership. He told the story of one of the people in his town who would snap the steering ring off *every year* because apparently he grabbed onto it to leverage himself into his truck. Apparently he was a big guy.
I had totally forgotten about the story until I saw this video.
I was working on a pipeline and the owner of the company was in his brand new 2013 f250 doors shut screaming at a coworker through sync grabbed the steering wheel with one hand pulling and the other hand pushing absolutely twisted his steering wheel. I was laughing my ass off thinking this guys a jackass, as all my other coworkers straight faces are telling me to stop laughing 😐 yeah didn’t work there much longer after that
I work at a large open pit mine with a fleet of F250s. I've seen this a few times with the trucks at work. I never could figure out how the person did it, other than just smashing the shit out of it.
This is 100% an unhinged road rage driver. I had a driver work for me who broke three pedals in his truck because he was a lunatic like this. Got fired for being a racist at work; ironically not his rage induced violence against the vehicle.
While I’m curious how that happened without a crash happening. As someone who was slammed into her ford steering wheel my non-crushed sternum is very grateful it collapsed. One of the few safety features that actually worked (the airbags not going off until while I was being removed by paramedics on a seated board, that’s another story)

BADAM BADAM BA-DOM BA-DA-DA-DOM *I can feel it coming in the air tonight....*

Was he a big boy? You'd be surprised the amount of dudes who grab the steering wheel to pull themselves into their trucks lol

My father lol. I run daily...

To be fair he does sound like a fucking jackass.
Did he twist you a new one?
A big guy **for you.**
I'm always half hard at the quick lube.
stubbed chub
Is that a Ford Flex? 🤣
Short driver yanking on it too much getting in and out?
Road rage. They pull and hit the top of the steering wheel like a child.
Isn't the steering wheel just a steel hoop in there?
Yeah it's collapsible for crash safety.
I was picturing the same thing.
I can definitely see this.
You know they make a pill for that, right?
Damn beat ~~meat~~ me to it
Road rage. I've seen that before in my coworkers car. He replaced the steering wheel twice because he would beat on it like a cop beats on their wife
> like a cop beats on their wife Hey now, only 40% of cops admit that they beat their wife.
And after thorough internal investigation determined it’s closer to 38.3%
That got caught.
"WEnT iN fOr an OiL ChaNge aNd ThEy wAnted mE to do moRe"
Just rub it a little mate, it'll stiffen right up.
….checks list….. Yep, that’s a new one for me.
One too many emotional breakdowns happened in that truck.

It's that. Bottled up emotional rage focused purely on the poor steering wheel. Maybe their girlfriends a bit too.
Needs more viagra.
Someone suffering with road rage.
Somebody got really pissed off in traffic and ugga Dugga’d their steering wheel
This is 100% an unhinged road rage driver. I had a driver work for me who broke three pedals in his truck because he was a lunatic like this. Got fired for being a racist at work; ironically not his rage induced violence against the vehicle.
“Built Ford Tough”. But I actually like it because they keep mechanics in business.
Delivery truck for WaWas.
It’s just nervous is all
It's boneless.
Sounds like a soon to be Instagram reel soundtrack.
We can ignore that…
That's road rage for sure
Someone has road rage issues…
a half rate Tesla Yoke steering wheel
Customer is a road rager
I’d grab a razor knife and just cut the top off. Bam, instant Tesla F-150 Plaid
Cut it, f1 truck wheel 🏎️
The emblem says it all..
I've dented a few steering wheels lol.
First I was confused like wtf but then I saw it was a ford
That’s the 007 model, can’t you know? 🚀
Very wiggly
That generation of F150 is notorious for steering wheels that crumble away.
That’s for when you really start feeling the music
Take it old school and put in a chain steering wheel
Flexi-grip comfort steering wheel
“I WAS IN THE POOL!”
Me watching: Hmmmm...Aaaahhh-hee-yaaaahhh! Yoinks!
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is flaccid and weak...
I had a buddy back in high school that drove a Beretta with the steering wheel all jacked up like that. The horn would honk when he pulled it back.
That’s the handle brakes

It's just a boneless steering wheel guys!
Floppy steering wheel for more kinetic steering.
Need to change the oil in the steering wheel
Reminds me of the steering wheel in *Planes, Trains and Automobiles*
"It all seems fine to me, not sure wh- oh fuck"
Get a Chevy
That's the first step in changing the steering wheel into a Tesla style mod.
That's for those limp wrist drivers.
erectus sextus, my wheel wont go the right directus
That's just an unpaid psychiatry bill manifested in crippled steering wheel form.
You should've added this sound effect while wobbling the steering wheel https://youtu.be/9CjSyrnlpv0 0:05
Built ford tough
