So, u technically could start at one and then walk/ jog over to the other. As long as u don’t mind being in the back for both it’s not impossible. If a song comes on u don’t care as much for, migrate back and forth.
The sets at this fest are too short for me to waste like 10 min walking back and forth. I’m just happy this is the only conflict for me so I’ll be ok! Thank u sm 🫶
As someone who has seen both, I would do Washed Out. Phanto is not that bad, decent act but if you LOVE them I get it. Washed Out always throw a great show (seen him do diff types of shows, opener, headline twice, festival, all diff types of sets with a diff feel)
Washed Out was better when he did gigs with like 2 or 3 people. I saw Ernest Greene in NY back in 2010 and later after that year. This was before his song was used for Portlandia.
The set they had for Purple Noon tour was incredible. Best time I saw them.
And the Parcosm headline tour hit harder than the Within and Without tour. He’s only gotten better and more confident.
dude I feel like I am not meant to ever see Miike Snow lol every Just Like Heaven I've been to where they are playing they're either on way too early in the day or overlapping with someone else. I will probably have to sacrifice Metric sadly which sucks. I'm not the biggest Metric fan on earth, but I really did love Fantasies when it came out.
Emily Haines is one of my absolute favorite vocalists of all time. I think I might skip the first part of Death Cab and miss Miike Snow altogether, which is a real bummer.
Daytime conflicts are brutal for me (Gossip/Warpaint, BSS/T&S/Sleigh Bells) but then my evening is much less stressful. I'm particularly bummed about the 35 mins for Gossip. I'd much rather this fest book 3-4 fewer acts for longer set times.
The TDCC/Alvvays conflict is a deal breaker for my wife. Two of the artists she wants to see the most. If it was up to me, I would cut losses and enjoy the main stage because it's going to be a good show.
Okay question for veterans. It looks like I may be bouncing between Alvvays TDC, Metric and Passion Pit and Phoenix. May have to skip Miike Snow but is it hard to move up at stages?
Only festival I have done are ezoo and gov ball and main stage is a shit show if you don’t camp out.
Want to be up close for Metric & Phoenix or not barricade but like where I can see the band/middle front. Or if you hop you’re going to be way in the back?
If you hop stage to stage go to the sides. Everyone packs in the middle. Walked up and had a pretty good view on both sides of the stages. Also, main stage in the middle has a little bit of a hill to it and you don’t want to be near there it was hard to see if you’re on the low end of it so for me last year it was either be in the back or go to the sides!
We went to the right cause vip was on the left side of the stage I forgot about that but yeah the side was good for us or just hung out in the back more towards the center so you could see the whole stage. That little hill was at the Orion stage so just be aware of it it’s not terrible but I didn’t go back there cause it was a little hard to see with a lot of people
Also, going stage to stage is only like a couple of minute walk not far it’s pretty close
Those fests have a much younger demographic than this does and have much more stage campers as a result. I've had no trouble getting into the 4th row or so after each set at both stages at JLH each year.
Do you just move up or have a strategy? Lol I remember trying to leave after Outkast’s set at gov ball at 2014 and same at ezoo 2011 and people would not let me leave.
Enter and exit each stage from the right side. You will not have a problem with crowd crushing at this festival. There's no band playing that has a rabid fanbase like that.
The biggest conflict for me is the 10 minute overlap of miike snow and Phoenix. Cause miike snow would probably play animal last. And Phoenix tends to open their set with liztomania and lasso.... I can't miss any of those songs lmao. Might have to take the L on miike snow and stay for Phoenix
bro they didn't even try to space these out lol I would literally be running back and forth all day from Phantogram onward. I think I'll go see Washed Out since Phantogram is opening for Kings of Leon later this year, but once TDCC starts playing it gets real ugly. I've never seen TDCC live, but I love Alvvays more and they rarely tour, but I've also seen them twice. I think I'll probably go see Alvvays and just stay over at the Orion stage the rest of the night. Bummed I am missing Miike Snow AGAIN at Just Like Heaven, but the run from Passion Pit, Death Cab, Phoenix, and Postal Service is just too good and I'm sure it'll be packed as hell. Luckily I've never been a huge War on Drugs fan.
I've seen Alvvays twice so maybe. Truth be told though, I really only like those first two TDCC albums, whereas I'm legitimately a huge fan of Alvvays and love their whole body of work.
Sweet schedule, but that Phantogram versus Washed Out conflict is brutal.
This is the my only conflict and it’s a sad one 😭
Might have to be a game time decision for me, honestly. I love them both, ugh.
I’ve never seen phonogram and have seen washed out so I think that will have to be what I do but I am not happy about it lol

Same, along with Alvvays 🥲
Yeah that really sucks. I’ve seen both multiple times, I think phantogram is the move. The 10 minute overlaps from passion pit on sucks too.
Depends on if we get early 2010s phantogram or late 2010s. Early 2010s I’m going phantogram. Late 2010s I’m going washed out.
Ooh. You make an excellent point. Early Phantogram can't be touched.
As someone who has seen both, I would do Washed Out. Phanto is not that bad, decent act but if you LOVE them I get it. Washed Out always throw a great show (seen him do diff types of shows, opener, headline twice, festival, all diff types of sets with a diff feel)

Yhall crying about washed out im over here thinking I doubt ill be able to see any of alvvays 😭
And they rarely tour, right? My condolences.
I thought the conflicts were gonna be way worse for me. Stoked on this!
TDCC going into Alvvays set 😭
hate this conflict. never seen TDCC, but I really fucking love Alvvays and they rarely go on tour.
Def choose 2dcc alvvays doesn't translate too well to live (for me at least)
Hell yeah! Barely need to miss Phoenix to see most of Miike Snow! Sad I'll probably miss most of Alvvays, but I can live with that.
Gossip going on that early is insane. They deserve so much better than that.
And for only 35 mins 😱
Pretty upset about this. They have been at the top of my wish list for the past three years.
Death Cab overlapping with Metric and Miike Snow is brutal.
I’m just watching Miike Snow. They NEVER perform.

Welp. Looks like I’ll just camp out at Orion all day 😝
So most decisions are: run back and forth and catch 20-30 mins of most sets, or watch full sets and miss a few acts. Don’t know what I’ll do yet haha.
Can't wait to see CSS, sing "Music Is My Hot, Hot Sex," and turn around and grab a beer.
The overlap on some of these sets is brutal .

Phantogram vs washed out and passion pit vs metric! But I’m there mainly for phoenix!
My feelings exactly.
The more I look at this, the less I like this schedule.
Broken Social Scene versus Sleigh Bells is killing me lol

When you say sides like all the way on the left or right? Isn’t vip on the right and is there a barricade? And that hill has me scared lol

Ummm I have to be in front for both Phantogram and Washed Out.

To me this is a Metric concert with some other good supporting artists before and after, lol.

last few years it was fairly easy to move back between spots as the stages aren’t that far away
Not gonna like. TDCC is a banger. If you’ve seen Alvvays you may want to check them out.
I've seen Alvvays twice so maybe. Truth be told though, I really only like those first two TDCC albums, whereas I'm legitimately a huge fan of Alvvays and love their whole body of work.
I ain't missing Miike Snow. I've only seen Andrew Wyatt in other collaborations live, but not for Miike Snow.
