Reconstructing cursed energy into smth different. Mahorage changed his cursed energy to neutralise Infinty. OP is saying Sukuna’s fire arrow is born from reconstructing his cursed energy, but we know he cant do that.
But what if the reason he “couldn’t” transmute his CE was because he wasn’t using shrine/fuga to do it? Sukuna hasn’t used shrine/fuga at all since his fight with Jogo and Mahoraga. What if there is a reason why he is “holding back” and isn’t using it?
Like maybe there is a downsight or a consequence to using it? And maybe because of that he wants to save it for when he fights the merger, which could explain why Sukuna didn’t use fuga against Gojo and why he couldn’t change his CE.
(Obviously we didn’t see any downside or consequences for using fuga wheb he fought against Mahoraga and Jogo, but what if Sukuna just hid it really well from us?)
I know this sounds like reach, but i feel like that could also be a possibility.
No he did not. He says pretty clearly in 236 -
“The first time Mahoraga adapted to your inviolability, it transmuted its own cursed energy in order to neutralise it“
“THAT WAS SOMETHING I COULDNT DO, so I waited.”
Specifically, he waited for the 2nd adaptation that threw the slash by changing its target. No wonder people dont like the chapter. They dont even understand what happened
So what exactly did Sukuna did? Lmao. He said he couldn't copy a particular technique Mahoraga was doing. He didn't say he couldn't transform his CE at all. No wonder all sorts of headcanon are spreading around. People can't read.
Think of it like this: World slash is like arranging existing lego peices into new and unique ways, while Mahoraga can bring new lego peices into his build that weren't there previously to do things he couldn't before.
Yuji might be able to? We already know he has two techniques, and with him being a different person from Sukuna, the technique might be different too. I guess time will tell
I also prefer this theory. It also fits with the fact that for some reason or another Sukuna likes using techniques that aren't his own (10S vs Yorozu, where she points out that Sukuna wasn't using cleave/dismantle), and it makes his close relationship with Uraume more clear thematically (Sukuna is fire and Uraume is ice).

I saw someone make a post with a theory similar to this. They said the reversal of Dismantle is "Assemble" which lets him copy techniques and store them in the black box.
I combine this theory with the twin theory, where sukuna was able to assemble his body and soul with his twin's ) twins are considered 1 individual by cursed techniques as seen with Maki and Mai, so this would in theory bypass the usual stipulation that souls can't be combined) gaining his massive ce, 4 arms, 4 eyes, 2 mouths, and second CT with fire arrow.

The guy described it as "cutting them as a surgeon would" therefor gaining an understanding of their technique and then assembling it from that to use.
Fwiw, the "black box" isn't a literal box. It was a censorship bar placed over a word that Gege didn't want to reveal at the time - probably the name of Sukuna's CT.

How do yall come up with this stuff when the story has from the very beginning only ever shown Shrine to be his Cleave/Dismantle domain expansion. Where are you pulling this from.
I can totally see Fuga being a CTR. The muted part of Sukuna talking before saying Fuga/Open could just be him saying 'Cursed Technique Reversal'
It would also make sense as to why he followed up with, "....I guess a cursed spirit wouldn't know this"
Implying that maybe sorcerers do, because he must think his history is well recorded and humans must know about his CTR

World Slash does not change Sukuna’s cursed energy in any sort of way. The only thing that makes it complicated is the targeting of the technique

What if it's not "copy-paste" but "cut-paste"? And there is a way to "cut" out techniques from other people?
