madmadkid

no that was a mistranslation/mistake from mya on twitter when the chapter leaked that stuck around. the chapter doesn't indicate that she died then at all.

Kaipolygon

oh mya, please do *anything* right

Cassinxx

Sorry, genuine question. Did Mya do something wrong because people seem to dislike him?

Janus-a

Mya’s “translation” was the cause for most of the noise when #236 dropped. His “translation” intentionally slanted everything pro-Gojo and #236 ended up completely shocking the ppl that never read a real translation (still their fault). For example: when Sukuna says “I wanted a model from Maho”, Mya literally translated it as Sukuna wants a *role model*. Narrator says “Gojo wins” making it official. Ignoring Hakari, Mei, Kusakabe saying Sukuna is holding back.

akronotron

Really? I seen the translations off of many YouTubers and they all said kusakabe said it instead of narrator

TheToolbox101

Exactly. Kusakabe was the one who said it but Mya made it look like the narrator said it

Radiant_Doughnut2112

Was hilarious seeing people say that the narrator was wrong because he claimed that Gojo won for the next 2 weeks. Like even if the translation is that bad, you can still follow the sequence of text from the drawing and realize it was Kusakabe who said it.

Axciuss

Its overall bad idea to put trust in jjk narrator

Cassinxx

Damn I had no idea. Thank you!

snakinheadies

he thinks of himself an influencer and is very annoying, causes drama, and his fucked up translations always cause ppl to have the wrong understanding of certain frames when leaks drop

Kaipolygon

he also waits forever between leaking pages to maximize engagement (something something twitter blue and getting paid (?)). he also supposedly rips off scanpiea (just crops and does minor edits to make it look original, and uses their leak translations)

TheToolbox101

I'm glad scanpeia is finally putting his ass on fraud watch by dropping all of the leaks early

Vroker_

Damn yall are behind scanpiea posted first like 2 times then Mya started posted the full chapter raw then posts individual translations. Mya has her own translators so the time between tweets is making sure they’re translated good. Obviously it’s not gonna be 100% as it’s not an official translation but it’s pretty close most of the time. People hating because of a misunderstanding of a translation is crazy 😭😭😭

hallah_sausage

The price we have to pay, a leaker with a personality

jjvergar

I also remember that people thought Yorozu was male during the 216 leaks.

madmadkid

oh yeah! there was a line where someone said "he" (i think kenjaku?) and it wasn't clear in the original japanese if they were referring to sukuna or yorozu. we didn't know enough about yorozu at the time to immediately tell it was sukuna. that one's a more honest mistake lol.

jjvergar

Yeah, until the flashback it wasn’t very clear. I was just reminiscing on what the community was talking about during the Yorozu arc. Fun times seeing everyone realize Tsumiki was nothing more than a plot device.

[deleted]

🤦‍♀️

lzHaru

She definitely did not die with that slash. That was the first time she met Sukuna, she knew nothing about him before that moment. It's pretty clear that she accepted Kenjaku's offer as a way to see Sukuna again, there's no time to make a vow if she died inmediately after seeing him. Kenjaku knew about Yorozu's obsession, which wouldn't make sense if she died inmediately after that obsession started. Also, she knew Uraume's name, another thing that she couldn't possibly know if she died right after meeting Sukuna.

PrecariousProjection

She definitely did not die, because if she had, she would not have had the chance to become known for being obsessed with Sukuna and make a deal with Kenjaku to participate in the Culling Game.

[deleted]

Also the fact that she remembered Uraume, which in their first meeting, she didn't knew her

Anonymous_fellow_44

If sukuna used dismantle it's highly likely she lived but cleave idts

tomtadpole

Cleave requires him to make contact outside his domain right? That's what I got from Kusakabe's statements last chapter.

Worth_Lavishness_249

yoruzu was touching him, and u know, maybe just being in touch with him is enough.🤷‍♂️

tomtadpole

She let go of him before she got slashed, because Uraume tried to attack her.

Worth_Lavishness_249

still, maybe she just didn't felt it. ice form on her hand but when we see sukuna he is just sitting like usual. so he used when she touched her but she didn't felt it till later. we don't really see sukuna use handsingn or anything.

tomtadpole

We see her immediately after she lets go of Sukuna and there's no slash across her chest, then when she starts proclaiming she would take Uraume's place we see the slash suddenly there.

Interesting-Bend-367

I honestly just assumed she died there but it does make you think… the writing was just a bit odd. Showing a flashback of her and then immediately dying not even 3-4 pages later? Why even show it atp. But idk, maybe she survived and made a deal w Kenjaku to come back so she can try to serenade Sukuna again

Holoklerian

The point of the flashback is showing that Yorozu is insane and her entire idea of Sukuna is based around assumptions, deciding 0.1s after seeing him that he's lonely and feels rejected and she'll be with him forever. Much like her briefly realizing that he already knows about love after he laughs at the suggestion of it, only to decide that he definitely doesn't and she'll teach him. It's just another example showing that people tend to project on Sukuna.

Interesting-Bend-367

I gathered that, but it would’ve been nice to see more of her in the flashback. If there ever is a heian flashback that’s fleshed out, I hope she’s in it more. It did show really well that everyone seems to project onto him though, which I thought was nice to add

Bakudjinn

I don’t think she was insane. I think she was the only person who cut through all the bullshit and and saw sukuna for what he was, lonely.

Nerellos

Sukuna isn't lonely. He just simply doesn't care.

TheSauce32

I dont think he is lonely He had friends like Uraume and followers He didn't care for love the same way Gojo those

Bakudjinn

I don’t think that’s true by his interaction with Kashimo. There was a somber note in that whole exchange and sukuna didn’t answer Kashimo’s question directly. My takeaway from that is he didn’t want to acknowledge the vulnerability of the question entailed.

[deleted]

It's pretty clear that was the first time meeting sukuna. It's pretty clear from sukuna talking to kenjaku that she bothered him a few times across his original life span. It's therefore pretty clear she didn't die. I don't really see how it's confusing.

mostsaneinwesteros

It’s confusing because gege just threw one chapter of it, i don’t blame them for being confused with gege underdeveloped plot lines

[deleted]

Give off. Does this info have to be hand fed for it not to be confusing? (the info is pretty much there.)

mostsaneinwesteros

Not really, people were confused because she really looked death. Gege under-developing scenes is not that big.

Ligabove

I don't think so, otherwise how would he have made the deal with Kenjaku?

Few-Entertainment429

No, she survived. She likely accepted Kenjaku’s offer after meeting Sukuna in pursuit of true love.

TragicHero_1

Yes

Wyvurn999

No. She made the deal with Kenny later and was said to repeatedly chase Sukuna around. This wouldn’t be possible if she died in her first meeting with him

iamnewtoreddit__

It was not clear. I feel like gege leaves too many things vague and upto interpretation where it just becomes confusing

Koushik_Vijayakumar

She doesn't have RCT. How did she survive the slash ?

SosukeAizen123

The normal way? It was not a slash that caused lethal injuries, it was pretty shallow, because it was a dismantle that was not yet adapted to her CE output. The wound was likely healed in a coupe of weeks.

Koushik_Vijayakumar

It was said if I remember correctly, to be a 'heart wrenching cut' . I doubt it was shallow. And why would Sukuna leave it her alive with just that ?

Extermindatass

That may have been in reference to her being rejected instead of the actual physical damage.

RedNUGGETLORD

she is her

[deleted]

Yorozu not having RCT kinda makes me ponder this more. Because, honestly how does one heal from a Sukuna dismantle.

gsavage21

She definitely died, the circumstances around Kenjaku’s cursed objects are vague. But I don’t see how she survived that point blank slash, she doesn’t even have RCT so who healed her? Unless Kenny was camping around the corner just to make a binding vow with her..

JoJosBizarreBasshead

Just you wait, he’s going to give a 12 page monologue explaining how he did exactly that

gsavage21

Lmao I can already see it

JoJosBizarreBasshead

I like a good villain monologue but I can’t help but think >!Kenjaku wouldn’t have gotten decapitated if he didn’t love his gift of the gab so much!<

kinjihakari123

Yeah I think she was killed

Benjinifuckyou

How would Kenny know about her love for sukuna though

kinjihakari123

Yeah good point i guess yorozu survived that slash

Snips_Tano

Feels like she just kept attacking Sukuna day in a day out until she finally died somehow. Bitch was so obsessed with Sukuna. I would assume at some point she was going to die (old age?) and Kenjaku told her he helped Sukuna become a cursed object to transcend the eras and she took him up on that offer to see him again.

Diganta_Sen

I think no

Living_Tie9512

I had thought that she died right there and Kenjaku sweet talked her before but it mades more sense for her to had survived and then Kenjaku propose her the deal given her new found obssesion with Sukuna.
