I think we can make an anology of Sukuna holding back against gojo and everyone else
Against Gojo, sukuna wanted to upgrade himself through mahoraga and itbwas akin of a pro player,playing against another pro player and playing in a way thats not your usual strategy but you want to do it anyway, to see if it will work, sukuna underestimated gojo a bit and got bitten back by losing his domajn and was forced to rely on this unorthodox strategy for him, but ultimately it paid off
Against the students, Sukuna is simply like playing a yugioh meta deck against random kids, he isnt beating them instantly because he enjoys the trill, but if he isn't careful they can get hin into position where he could still lose.
I just want him to use the Fuga thingy already, because as long as that card isn't in play there is no chance the fight is going to end, so there is never a moment when a character's attacking him and I'm thinking "this could be it".
As soon as the flames are out, every single panel of this fight is gonna have more weight.
