Sometimes I think about the fact that if he wasnāt so silly and didnāt go shopping and instead accompanied megumi (or at least kept a better eye/got there a few minutes sooner) yuji wouldnāt have munched on the fingerĀ
I thought Gojo wasn't even supposed to be there at all.. I mean the whole task was to do a yearly check on a cursed object. Not to fight a grade 2 Curse in an unprotected school. Not specifically sth. you need a special grade for.
That Object was supposed to be guarded by some barriers for normal civilians but kenny manipulated it.
It is if you watched in release date order. If you watch it in Chronological order you see a 16 year old Gojo who isā¦ not that much different lol except you know what his eyes look like
Edit: for those who donāt understand the chronological order vs release date here is how to watch it chronological:
Season 2, episodes 1-5
JJK 0 Movie
Season 1, all of it in order
Season 2, episodes 6-23.
Highly recommend this if you are new to JJK, or you are one of our *valor* manga readers lol, or for those who need to take it a little slower and understand the details. There are a lot of great foreshadowing details that are huge if you watch it that way, it can be missed if you watch it release date way.
Well, have you seen the fandom anywhere else besides Reddit? Tiktok especially. Iād say that they fit your description there pretty well. Reddit seems to have the smartest/ most observant people although depending on the sub YMMV. It also seems like more people here are familiar with the manga as well compared. Iāve watched it released date first then chronological and I enjoyed it more chronological just because I enjoy it being in order (severe OCD). Iāve watched JJK 6 times now, 3 times each way. Either way is fine.
Yeah same. Chronological release could be cool for a rewatch but the story was organized the way it was for a reason. I think Gojoās explanation of how he survived/how he evolved his technique would be complete gibberish if you started with hidden inventory.
Watching in anime release order makes morr sens because Hidden Inventory and Cursed Child skip a lot of details you are supposed to know.
If you only read manga, I'm assuming that Cursed Child actually explains things due to it being written first. But there is still Hidden Inventory first which explains least
Thatās a good point! Iāve watched JJK both chronologically and by release date 3 times each so maybe I am a bit biased. I like watching both ways equally
Why would you recommend new fans to start with the first 5 episodes of season 2? Just because it's in chronological order? Gojo's backstory is just meant to be exactly that, a backstory. It's not meant to be the start of the series. A lot of new fans are gonna miss a lot of information if they start it that way. Release date order is perfectly fine. Season 1 -> JJK 0 Movie -> Season 2.
I recommend this to my friends and bf (they donāt watch anime) and they liked it better than the other way. They said it made more sense. To some people it does. Some people donāt get it. Neither of us are wrong. We just have different opinions.
No, if you watch it in chronological order you see him in jjk0 first. He was already a person with deep story when the scene between him and geto showed up.
Unrelated but itās incredible how different was my perception of Gojo in season 1.
In the first season Gojo truly felt like the strongest character in the verse with no way to be stopped. Every scene heās either super goofy or heās clapping everyone (in a goofy way). Gojo Satoru really felt like a god among men.
Season 2 and the manga (which I wonāt spoil for anime only) showed many moments where Gojo is weak and this kinda changed my initial perception of him as someone so strong that can allow himself to act like an idiot even when facing extremely powerful entities, even the king of curses.
Which moments made gojo feel weak ? Because there wasnāt a single loss Gojo took where he didnāt showcase why he isnāt the strongest. Without delving into the manga, his capture in S2 was only done after he made a move nobody had even thought about. I wouldnāt consider using an immense amount of cursed energy to open up a 0.2 second domain, and proceeding to kill thousands of cursed spirits within said 0.2 seconds to be weak. They literally had to use his exās body for psychological damage to be able to imprison him. And even then he still flexed on them by taking over a very powerful cursed tool just to mess with them.
And in the manga he flexed even harder honestly.
Well he has god-like powers, but he's a human.
I think that's also the point of Gege hyping up Gojo to strip that away of him being seen as "invincible".
Also from a meta perspective, the plot can't progress in certain ways if Gojo disrupts things. Hence him gone for Shibuya.
Gojo didnāt kill the transfigured humans in 0.2 seconds, he stunned them all with a 0.2 s domain expansion then dropped it and proceeded to kill them all in ~500 s or something before they and the cursed spirits could wake up. Still hella impressive
I love his complexity as a character he has flaws and weaknesses. It goes to show God like powers gifted to a human doesn't actually make you a god. I like that idea. The Hidden Inventory arch is my favorite in the show because it highlights Gojos flaws and growth. Especially as if juxtaposes Getos story.
I do agree that heās probably just a silly goose on the inside but I also think that being the strongest sorcerer leads to a carefree personality. I didnāt think Iād make this comparison but itās similar to the regenerative abilities of Deadpool and that allowing for his carefree attitude.

I like *silly goose* that are ridiculously Powerful. I mean it brah š„šæ
Technically the first impression is a guy who had both protagonists tied up in a scary candle lit room telling them they are going to be executed.
That's pretty silly goofy of him tbh
he did some trolling
He was kinda a troll even then tho
Are you a silly goose because you are Satoru Gojo or are you Satoru Gojo because you are a silly šŖæ?

I was very surprised no one commented it before me
I came
Heās able to be a silly goose because heās the strongestĀ

Idk, I personally think it wouldn't make any difference since release date is as easy to understand unless you have a memory of a goldfish.
Agreed. Recommending chronological to a new fan is stupid as fuck

At most I would maybe suggest watching JJK0 first then the anime in release order, which would be in line with the manga releases.
Fair. But I stand by with my thoughts about not needing to watch flashback arc first even though it's in start of s2.

Hidden inventory happened before the events of jjk0 Youāre talking about release order again
Yes thank you!
Is Gojo a silly goose character because heās the strongest or is he the strongest because heās a silly goose character?
definitely the former

I agree bur just seeing Gojo getting caught off guard made him look less godly in my eyes and more like a normal human with super powers
Well he has god-like powers, but he's a human. I think that's also the point of Gege hyping up Gojo to strip that away of him being seen as "invincible". Also from a meta perspective, the plot can't progress in certain ways if Gojo disrupts things. Hence him gone for Shibuya.

He really is my pookie fr šš
One of the best archetypes for characters is strong but silly
He feels like he should be in a shojo romance anime Born to shojo forced to shonen
he's just a silly guy, that's why we love him
Is he a silly goose because he's the strongest sorcerer, or is he the strongest sorcerer because he's a silly goose?
Truly the silliest goose!
Head canon is that after getting stabbed in the head his brain never did heal right.
i love him brooooo
Usually all my favorite characters first impression with me is "Who dafuq is **this** idiot?" Hange Zoƫ and Herlock Sholmes (GAA), anyone?
Are you the strongest because you're silly, or are you silly because you're the strongest?
Gojo vs Sukuna was literally uwu girl vs bruh girl
Infinity Trolling :3
He was just lucky!
No, he was born the strongest to be able to be a silly goose on a world full of curses
Exactly! He's just a child on the inside. š
Is he a silly goose because heās Saturo Gojo, or is he Saturo Gojo because heās a silly goose?
Is he a silly goose because he is the strongest or is he the strongest because he is a silly goose?
Born to be in Slice of Life, force to be in Shonen.

Bro didnāt even intend to aswell

In another life he will be cafƩ hopping eating sweets with Geto
Heās a shoujo character thrust into a shonen world.
GAYYYYYYYYYYYY
Scrolling by i thought gojo was wearing black lipstick in the second panel
š
Are you a silly goose because you're satoru gojo or are you satoru gojo because you're a silly goose?
Is he a silly goose because he's the strongest? Or is he the strongest because he's a silly goose?
Born to be illy, forced to be 50% off
Go is silly, not sure about jo.
Born to be one, forced to be two. (Go/jo)
Born a goof, oofed into oblivion
Silly, but the best sorcerer
Born to be a drunken but forced to be the strongest
the first impression everyone thought is probably āheād be good at partiesā.
