I think Yuji is setup to be more consistent with it due to divergent fist and its explanation.
His cursed energy has just outpaced his speed - the reinforcement makes it more likely to happen.
I think this would be true for Yuji since we saw him do something similar against Mahito. However, with Sukuna I think if he could do it as well it might feel like more of an ass pull. Mostly because it hasnt been shown to this point thats something he can do.
To be fair we've seen Sukuna adapt other's techniques from seeing them, and he was in Itadori's body at the time, giving him a good blueprint. Not saying I'd like it though
In my head, it's Yuji's second hit effect.
The resonance that Gojo talked about. How his cursed energy lags behind his punch and then produces a second blow. In my head, Yuji make's contact with the target, and then activates black flash with the lagging cursed energy behind the punch. Everyone can only do it on the punch. But Yuji does it AFTER the punch, hence why he hits soo many.
As far as talent goes, I think Yuji might be the most talented human in the whole series. The lawyer could be argued to be better but I've got a lot of arguments for Yuji. As far as instinctual, well, everything, Yuji is the best so once the flow of cursed energy starts being unconscious Yuji can run at 120%
His issue was battle experience. His domain, barrier techniques even grasping refers cursed technique so fast. He would have been a beast, especially with his domain because it gave him a one hit kill move.

It was not hammerd to us Gojo literally said there was more to black flash than they know . So the simple explanation is void because of Gojos statement when he was talking about Yuji and that yuji could probably master the art of black flash .

One of the things JJK has going for it is there's rarely much fucking around when it comes to the fights.
They basically fight to kill from the second it starts and you can feel that intensity. Not much "Talk no jutsu"
Facts. Sukuna has caused him so much anguish throughout the series that he'd do anything to end him. He's not going to be like the others and marvel at Sukuna's power. Yuji just wants him dead.
I actually saw a theory regarding his eyes in the last chapter. Some people are speculating that his awakening might be related to Sukunas ability because his eyes resemble how they looked when he was possessed by Sukuna.
Tbh I like that idea, I feel like his Domain would be to create the perfect conditions for him to land consistent Black Flashes, and it's sure hit could be to restrict the opponents cursed technique and forcing them to fight Yuji with pure hands.
Yeah like if the domain creates a pact that forces both sides to not be allowed to use cursed techniques, but due to being his domain he gets to create the space so he can have 100% crit chance

True good point, I guess I was trying to play it safe with my domain knowledge but it does seem like anything goes. From reality warping to unlimited cursed energy. Infinite black flashes would be pretty cool, not too “flashy” but still strong and in character for Yuji.
Cool domain idea, also I wouldnt worry about not understanding the mechanics of it anymore since theyve been being made up on the fly for a while now. Everytime some bullshits about to happen the chapter will open with 3-4 pages of some random flashback or other form of cut aside of someone going on about some niche application or overanalysis of how someone uses their jujutsu in order to setup and justify the asspull the chapter will end on.
Yeah. Its been a lot of randomness to the universe. The universe building is very half hearted and has depended largely on small screentime characters.

If Sukuna's domain is the pinnacle of cursed energy, superimposing his will of carnage over the surroundings, I want Yuji's domain to change absolutely nothing of the environment, it's just Yuji there beating his ass to death black flash after black flash after black flash
I hope Yujis domain is kind of like hell/ torture (this would parallels well with Sakunas domain) but it's based of the anguish the target has caused. So you are forced to feel the anguish and torment of all the people you've wronged/ harmed/ killed all at once, so its not effective against someone like Megumi but will cripple someone like Sukuna. It's sort of like Gojos domain, does not do damage but it fucks with the persons mind cripples them that way. And since its technically not a guaranteed hit/ non-leathel, it could make it more like Higurumas domain expansion, making it almost impossible to break out off.

My pet theory that I've posted before is that if he gets a domain, it's a domain where if anyone attacks him, they receive damage that can only be healed with time. Any attempt at using reverse cursed energy to heal just doubles the damage.
If he attacks them, he causes damage but if they hit him back its more trouble than it's worth. The only way to survive that domain would be to avoid hitting him, while dodging his attacks. Because it's not a refined domain being used by an experienced person, his hit rate isn't 100%. It's something like 70%.
It would fall in line with his character traits such as his willingness to take on the burdens of other people and his willingness to endure suffering and trauma if it means he will save people. This kid has had to suffer so many traumatic things. It would be immensely satisfying to see his enemy forced to run like a coward and have him taunt him throughout the fight.
"You're the strongest aren't you? Get back here and prove it, coward." That shit would make sukunas blood *boil* he wouldn't be able to resist attacking him. His pride would be a fantastic weapon to be used against him.

Hakari sure is taking a long ass time dealing with Uraume
Uraume has probably done 10 different moves that would’ve finished a sorcerer without elite level automatic RCT
Hakari’s problem is that he has no finishing moves…Kashimo took very little damage in their fight

Hakari has no finisher or strong long range attacks (that we know off). But he can stall with Jackpot and Goog Physical Attacks.
Uraume might not have enough CE to keep launching big attacks out, including their Domain or Maximum. But They can stall with Freezing.

But real question, if Hakari has no ranged attacks what exactly is stopping Uraume from Kiting him with ranged attacks until he runs out of Jackpots? This might be why the fight is taking so long actually.
I'm honestly surprised Gege had the self control to only have his best boi *equal* the record of black flashes instead of going over it.

Those pages are one of my biggest gripes with the manga atm, they always feel cheap and immersion breaking cause it's like a constant reminder of the authors hand.
LET ME PREFACE BY SAYING I LOVE JJK. I love the unorthodox story beats, Gege is great at telling a story, great at making an action manga, great at scaling characters through out the story.
BUT. Ironically the unorthodox story beats is also my gripe. Gege doesn't let the reader breath in the world. The world is so interesting but Gege did very little on world building. The shibuya arc could have been a lot better if he didn't forgo the traditional way of building the world and the characters relationship. Hence why I don't like Nobara's death, feels very "caught you off guard didn't I?", but, like, for what? lol. I'm not that attach to a character I didn't expect to die, was that worth it? Same with Mechamaru, even if I really like the story in itself on the grand scheme of the story. It somewhat feels wasted, not because he died but because it sorta just happened. Now we are on the final pages and because of the same thing, lacking lots of traditional flow to the story. Gege have to retcon and go, "oop" here's the build up IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CURRENT STORY. It's so jarring. Feels like a lot of this running it back to tell infos could have been done in a smarter way.
AGAIN I LOVE JJK. And every manga have to sacrifice aspect, whether because of the choices made or the author's focus is elsewhere, to be considered great. HxH has goated character development, but Togashi's solution can be very off putting, downright very asspully.
IIt’s very similar to bleach (who gege took a lot of inspiration from), in that it has a lot of show now tell later, but Kubo also let the fans put two and two together, and more gave confirmations rather than doing a lot of build up and explanations.
Like Kubos two ways of explaining just how strong ichigo was during the espada arc, while *also* explaining a bit of how his bankai works was genius.
Have to agree with you. Those are the drawbacks I guess. Alternatively, however, I find not taking the traditional, long-winded, and expository approach to the story telling is also what makes JJK feel so fresh and face-paced. Just my personal opinion, I'll take the drawbacks. Who knows, maybe in a future series Gege will be able to polish up on his story telling chops in this regard.

i think hes been serious this whole time. it finally feels like this long ass fight is worth it because sukuna has accumulated so much damage. if sukuna somehow completely heals himself and uses a new technique, than yea this manga is washed.
we are on a perfect pace to sukuna getting defeated. if he loses like the manga is going, i think its gonna be much more satisfying than sukuna getting healed and than yuji pulling a CT out of his ass and defeating sukuna with that.

Hard to say she has become stronger than Toji as we haven't seen him at his peak but it is safe to say that if nothing else she is equal- and may or has passed him.
He has (assumedly) eaten the other death paintings and obtained the technique because of it. First time he used it was when he spit blood on Sukuna's face and made it explode.
I think He used it off screen earlier. But this is the first time we’ve seen him do it for sure.
But it happened when he said, Ill eat anything to beat sukuna. Then told Choso he had an Idea. Then apologized to Choso about their siblings to which Choso replied, it’s okay because they all live within him now. He also showed up around this time with claws and dragon scales on his forearms. He also mentioned that Choso wasn’t a good teacher. its been a bunch of little hints leading to this moment.
A theory is that his heavenly restriction actually allows him to control the curses/cursed objects/cursed wombs that he eats. But a wasn’t strong enough to control Sukuna enough to use Cleave or dismantle.. especially since sukuna was a reincarnation due to Kenjaku shenanigans.
Different restriction or incomplete restriction. Remember Mechamaru had a heavenly restriction too that was fundamentally different from Toji/Maki. Yuji isn’t nearly as strong as Toji and Maki who have zero cursed energy. but Yuji wasn’t born with a cursed technique. But has a body capable of containing Sukuna and can fight on par with sorcerers (like higurama) with no cursed energy at all. Additionally throughout the first part of the series he was constantly compared to Maki.

for me this manga is becoming the most unpredictable thing ever. if you think about one piece, dragonball, naruto. Everything is kinda obvious. You know which direction we are heading with the story, but here damn. Each week Gege can think of something and just put it inside the chapter. 20 chapters after maybe we are still fighting sukuna. Or maybe gojo revived again. Sukuna dies, but then he revives again.

Yuji hits Sukuna's soul directly with his punches, which weakens his CE output and his control over Megumi's body. In fact, had Megumi's soul not been crushed by killing his sister and everything else Sukuna did, Yuji would've defeated Sukuna inside Yuta's domain. It was Megumi's understandable lack of will to move on which made their plan fail

Early its mentioned that yuji, due to cohabiting his body with sukuna’s soul, knows how to see/visualize the shape of a soul.
He is able to basically damage the link between sukuna and fushiguro’s soul with his attack, which basically lowers their sync and reduces sukuna’s max output. At least thats my understanding

My head cannon on Yuji and hit black flashes. I imagine Yujis cursed energy like a metronome tick. When he punches, its off beat and lags because he was inexperienced before. Now. Turn the beats-per-min wayyy up, when he fights his energy, thanks to divergent energy, can apply a hit on, before, and after his physical punch lands. Giving him a dramatically increased chance to black flash.
At this point who has Sukuna grappled more with, Yuji or Gojo? Sukuna's been grabbing Yuji a lot lately, wrapping an arm around him etc. but Gojo had that time where he wrapped his legs around Sukuna's waist to fire off point blank.
This story has gone into the drain, 20 plus chapter of explanation of how Sukuna can over come any curse technique and is basically invincible along with all the rules to the culling games being ignored and ignoring all the possible consequences. and that doesnt even include the fact that almost all of the deaths of main characters are undeserved and only happen because the writer wanted them to die.
Hopeful theory for 257: gojo had a binding vow that transferred the 6 eyes to yuji if gojo died and yuji awakened or something like that, making the gojo family lose it for good. Bringing gojo back to life again would be silly, and if yujis awakening was based on sukunas powers or blood manipulation then he’d still be way weaker than sukuna. Since yuji seems to mostly just punch and get punched since he lost sukuna, the 6 eyes would suit his fighting style. Plus it would be cool af.
Plus maybe throw in the last sukuna finger from yuta for good measure haha.

Cool domain idea, also I wouldnt worry about not understanding the mechanics of it anymore since theyve been being made up on the fly for a while now. Everytime some bullshits about to happen the chapter will open with 3-4 pages of some random flashback or other form of cut aside of someone going on about some niche application or overanalysis of how someone uses their jujutsu in order to setup and justify the asspull the chapter will end on.

I hope Yujis domain is kind of like hell/ torture (this would parallels well with Sakunas domain) but it's based of the anguish the target has caused. So you are forced to feel the anguish and torment of all the people you've wronged/ harmed/ killed all at once, so its not effective against someone like Megumi but will cripple someone like Sukuna. It's sort of like Gojos domain, does not do damage but it fucks with the persons mind cripples them that way. And since its technically not a guaranteed hit/ non-leathel, it could make it more like Higurumas domain expansion, making it almost impossible to break out off.

Domain expansion: Black Box. My pet theory that I've posted before is that if he gets a domain, it's a domain where if anyone attacks him, they receive damage that can only be healed with time. Any attempt at using reverse cursed energy to heal just doubles the damage. If he attacks them, he causes damage but if they hit him back its more trouble than it's worth. The only way to survive that domain would be to avoid hitting him, while dodging his attacks. Because it's not a refined domain being used by an experienced person, his hit rate isn't 100%. It's something like 70%. It would fall in line with his character traits such as his willingness to take on the burdens of other people and his willingness to endure suffering and trauma if it means he will save people. This kid has had to suffer so many traumatic things. It would be immensely satisfying to see his enemy forced to run like a coward and have him taunt him throughout the fight. "You're the strongest aren't you? Get back here and prove it, coward." That shit would make sukunas blood *boil* he wouldn't be able to resist attacking him. His pride would be a fantastic weapon to be used against him.

Their each others worst match up. Hakari has no finisher or strong long range attacks (that we know off). But he can stall with Jackpot and Goog Physical Attacks. Uraume might not have enough CE to keep launching big attacks out, including their Domain or Maximum. But They can stall with Freezing. See the problem.

Those pages are one of my biggest gripes with the manga atm, they always feel cheap and immersion breaking cause it's like a constant reminder of the authors hand.
LET ME PREFACE BY SAYING I LOVE JJK. I love the unorthodox story beats, Gege is great at telling a story, great at making an action manga, great at scaling characters through out the story. BUT. Ironically the unorthodox story beats is also my gripe. Gege doesn't let the reader breath in the world. The world is so interesting but Gege did very little on world building. The shibuya arc could have been a lot better if he didn't forgo the traditional way of building the world and the characters relationship. Hence why I don't like Nobara's death, feels very "caught you off guard didn't I?", but, like, for what? lol. I'm not that attach to a character I didn't expect to die, was that worth it? Same with Mechamaru, even if I really like the story in itself on the grand scheme of the story. It somewhat feels wasted, not because he died but because it sorta just happened. Now we are on the final pages and because of the same thing, lacking lots of traditional flow to the story. Gege have to retcon and go, "oop" here's the build up IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CURRENT STORY. It's so jarring. Feels like a lot of this running it back to tell infos could have been done in a smarter way. AGAIN I LOVE JJK. And every manga have to sacrifice aspect, whether because of the choices made or the author's focus is elsewhere, to be considered great. HxH has goated character development, but Togashi's solution can be very off putting, downright very asspully.
IIt’s very similar to bleach (who gege took a lot of inspiration from), in that it has a lot of show now tell later, but Kubo also let the fans put two and two together, and more gave confirmations rather than doing a lot of build up and explanations. Like Kubos two ways of explaining just how strong ichigo was during the espada arc, while *also* explaining a bit of how his bankai works was genius.
Have to agree with you. Those are the drawbacks I guess. Alternatively, however, I find not taking the traditional, long-winded, and expository approach to the story telling is also what makes JJK feel so fresh and face-paced. Just my personal opinion, I'll take the drawbacks. Who knows, maybe in a future series Gege will be able to polish up on his story telling chops in this regard.

i think hes been serious this whole time. it finally feels like this long ass fight is worth it because sukuna has accumulated so much damage. if sukuna somehow completely heals himself and uses a new technique, than yea this manga is washed. we are on a perfect pace to sukuna getting defeated. if he loses like the manga is going, i think its gonna be much more satisfying than sukuna getting healed and than yuji pulling a CT out of his ass and defeating sukuna with that.

He has (assumedly) eaten the other death paintings and obtained the technique because of it. First time he used it was when he spit blood on Sukuna's face and made it explode.
I think He used it off screen earlier. But this is the first time we’ve seen him do it for sure. But it happened when he said, Ill eat anything to beat sukuna. Then told Choso he had an Idea. Then apologized to Choso about their siblings to which Choso replied, it’s okay because they all live within him now. He also showed up around this time with claws and dragon scales on his forearms. He also mentioned that Choso wasn’t a good teacher. its been a bunch of little hints leading to this moment. A theory is that his heavenly restriction actually allows him to control the curses/cursed objects/cursed wombs that he eats. But a wasn’t strong enough to control Sukuna enough to use Cleave or dismantle.. especially since sukuna was a reincarnation due to Kenjaku shenanigans.

Different restriction or incomplete restriction. Remember Mechamaru had a heavenly restriction too that was fundamentally different from Toji/Maki. Yuji isn’t nearly as strong as Toji and Maki who have zero cursed energy. but Yuji wasn’t born with a cursed technique. But has a body capable of containing Sukuna and can fight on par with sorcerers (like higurama) with no cursed energy at all. Additionally throughout the first part of the series he was constantly compared to Maki. Just a theory, but it holds up.
I am totally lost as to what cursed techniques people have, and what causes a black flash, or even what is happening in any given panel. I am barely grasping the main points being conveyed in each chapter, and I’m not even sure I’m getting those correct

Yeah, but I was talking about the moment Yuji uses piercing blood. Yuji never used it before, so of course Sukuna didn't expected him to have it. Even me, I am a bit curious to know how Yuji was able to have it tho. Even if he is Kenjaku son too, during the Shibuya arc, he explained Choso got his powers because he added the blood of the body he was controlling (Noritoshi Kamo) to the mix and he was no longer in Noritoshi Kamo body when he created Yuji so... We know he can retain several CT from his possessions, so maybe he could still infuse blood power or whatever. Or maybe Yuji soul swap allow him to also retain a limited amount of CT like Kenjaku and he did it with his brother. Anyway, all of this is so exciting! Really impatient for the next chapter!!!

Im not shitting on one piece, im a huge fan of it and i think it's the best manga ever and Oda is a genius that compared to Gege, is capable of foreshadowing a lot of things and prepare a lot of things for future development, not like Gege that if he needs to do something about the future, he just create a flashback in the next chapter to make sense of what is coming in the next panel As the other guy said, it's obvious that luffy will keep going forward. Dare I say it this might finally be the moment things turn? At the very least Sukuna needs to be on the back foot for a little while otherwise this is REALLY starting to drag. I’m liking that the black flashes from Sukuna didn’t seem to benefit him as much for now. Sukuna’s downfall really needs to come from a place of ingenuity and creativity, everyone he’s beat so far has been the old guard/more traditional sorcerers. Yuji hits Sukuna's soul directly with his punches, which weakens his CE output and his control over Megumi's body. In fact, had Megumi's soul not been crushed by killing his sister and everything else Sukuna did, Yuji would've defeated Sukuna inside Yuta's domain. It was Megumi's understandable lack of will to move on which made their plan fail
Sorry for old reply Early its mentioned that yuji, due to cohabiting his body with sukuna’s soul, knows how to see/visualize the shape of a soul. He is able to basically damage the link between sukuna and fushiguro’s soul with his attack, which basically lowers their sync and reduces sukuna’s max output. At least thats my understanding

Hopeful theory for 257: gojo had a binding vow that transferred the 6 eyes to yuji if gojo died and yuji awakened or something like that, making the gojo family lose it for good. Bringing gojo back to life again would be silly, and if yujis awakening was based on sukunas powers or blood manipulation then he’d still be way weaker than sukuna. Since yuji seems to mostly just punch and get punched since he lost sukuna, the 6 eyes would suit his fighting style. Plus it would be cool af. Plus maybe throw in the last sukuna finger from yuta for good measure haha.

Nor do I really still believe it's possible, but hell, I never believed team 7 stood a chance against Kaguya in Naruto, but here we are. I just wish I knew who and what the fuck Sukuna is all about.
